Super Bowl!
“Got a prediction on the game?” says Spence.
“A tie,” Admin says.
“You’re saying the game ends in a tie?”
“Correct. Today’s game ends in a tie.”
“How is that possible?” Spence says.
“Tie score at the end of regulation time,” Admin says, “and then a massive power failure blacks out the whole midwest.”
“A massive power failure.”
“Caused by huge solar flares. The sun’s entering a new cycle, in case anyone’s interested. And here’s another prediction: we’re going to learn all sorts of new things about the sun in the next decade. I’m just throwing that prediction in for free.”
“I’m sure everyone’s very grateful,” Spence says. “Enjoy the game.”
“Got any of that Berkshire beer?” Admin says. “I like their Steel Rail ale.”
“You went to college out there, didn’t you?”
“Except then we called it the Beserkshires.”
“Other members of your family went to the same college, I believe?”
“One of my daughters, my dad, and I’ve got a nephew there now.”
“Do you think any of them used the term Beserkshires, or was it just you?”
Welcome Tucker and Maya.

Hey Cooooolll, I live in the Berkshires! Only time it gets to the Beserkshires around here is when our youngest two are in season. Then WATCH OUT!
GO PATRIOTS!
See you all at the party later. The Pack is howling some songs to sing.

Good Morning Melanie!
Good Morning Everyone!
SupperBowl Sunday Fun!
9:54 am on February 5th, 2012
Good Sunday to all. We have missed the blog, and are way out of the loop. Pop took our iPaw on Friday, and both of them were out circulating something all day yesterday. They didn’t even make dinner until after 9:00 last night. It was another of those delicious roasted chickens, and we happen to know that they cooked up some spare parts for us a part of pre-game festivities. We think they are feeling guilty because they are going to Dima’s best frien’s Super Bowl party without us.
We didn’t have time to catch up on Friday and Saturday’s goings-on, but a quick perusal highlighted a video of The Giant and some steps. We can’t watch those on the iPaw, so we’ll have to wait until Mom lets us on her ‘puter.

Super Bowl….yawn. I wonder if it’s possible for both sides to lose.
Good morning all.
10:29 am on February 5th, 2012
Hi there B, OleyH, Bear and Melanie.
Dear B. One will lose for sure.
I am going to watch Puppy Bowl and nothing else. Mr.Staff will have something called ‘the game’ on but I will be attending Supper Bowl and won’t bother with ‘the game.’ I have seen all the commercials I need to see (Subaru Dogs) already.
10:33 am on February 5th, 2012
Alice, what is Puppy Bowl? Maybe we can get Mom to put that on T.V. for us before she leaves us for Dima’s best friend’s house. sniff
We just watched the Musical Montage #1. Are we to understand that A.J. is the last musher who is hanging onto his sled while being pulled on his side and tummy????? Our heart is racing after watching that clip!
10:49 am on February 5th, 2012
O.Howlers: AJ is said to be the last musher in the Montage. It gets better and better every time we play it. Guess the Plunderers won’t be going down the Steps, since Rebecca said they are diverting around this year…thank dog! some of us could be left behind!
10:54 am on February 5th, 2012
Today’s post is funny and could be turned into novel…the country riots when deprived of the ending of the Superbowl.
Fellow Sibers, Yes, the last musher going down the Steps is AJ and if you listen closely you can hear him calmly say, “Here we go”.
Tell your folks to leave the Puppy Bowl on for you guys. It is on the Animal Planet Channel.
GO PATRIOTS!!
GO TEAM SIBERIANS!!!

What ever you do, do NOT look at the starting lineup. Such sad sad eyes. Your heart will break! Alice didn’t warn me..sob sob sob…
11:37 am on February 5th, 2012
I didn’t realize you guys were watching the free video. So that last musher is AJ?
He did an awesome job of staying with the sled!
Time for Lunch. I know it’s only 11:30 but all this talk of roast chicken … My lunch is NY chocolate cheesecake!
11:38 am on February 5th, 2012
Good news and bad news. First, the good news: Mom says the Puppy Bowl is on before she has to leave for DBF’s house. But now for the bad news: Telling us not to look at the starting lineup is like telling us not to eat the cookie. We looked at the first 5 or 6. They look so sad!!! And are they all in shelters? Now we are afraid to let Mom watch that.
11:42 am on February 5th, 2012
Siber, we can’t hear AJ’s voice…just music. And at the very end a husky barks. Should we hear him right after that musher that is going in the dark with his headlamp on?
And did we really see one musher running after his sled? Did he lose his guys?

Good morning all! Barb is back home after her trip to see the kids, Grands and the ice carving contest. Latter was a bust, due to warm temps. Some canceled, some had to go to a different
design, all were melting. They usually last into March! Here is one of the better ones. There was more to it, but part had already fallen.

Morning all. Mom has a spicy chicken tortilla soup in the crock pot. She’s keeping a diet journal for a few days so she can show the dietician what she eats. She’s got an appointment to get some help in losing some poundage. She started the day off with a bang with a Rhodes giant cinnamon roll. It will probably be the last one for quite some time.
Mom took me for a long walk yesterday. A repeat is on tap for today as well. Two beautiful, sunny, balmy February days is such a rare treat for mitten wintertime.
Mom finished the 2nd Hunger Games book yesterday and is starting the 3rd today.
She’s also been cleaning out her DVR by catching up on Young and the Restless.
Enjoy the weekend.
11:43 am on February 5th, 2012
Oley Howlers,
I read about them, and most of them have now been adopted. It isn’t as sad as I thought! In fact it is good news. YAY!
We need a puppy bowl every week and then we wouldn’t have to have shelters.
11:48 am on February 5th, 2012
Barb, my neck got sore and I had to fix the pic.
This should help.

Staff, THANK YOU!!!! Barb could not figure out how to do that. Picture was one her daughter emailed from her iphone to our email, so it was not JPeg. We are not techy enough I guess.
All carvers start with a 10′ x 10′ block, and they usually start the 48 hours before the show. This year the started Thursday, due to melting problems.
12:04 pm on February 5th, 2012
Fellow Sibers, I just watched the video again closely…I love that video. No, the musher you see that appparently lets go of the sled, does not. He hangs onto the sled and what we are seeing is someone else running along behind him.
AJ says, “Here we Go” just as he starts down the steps on his tummy. No one else but Rebecca and I can hear this on the video. I don’t know why.
hee hee Did you guys notice the look of Glee on the dogs’ faces as they start down the Steps.
I, too, have read that all the Puppies in the Puppy Bowl find good homes.
12:06 pm on February 5th, 2012
(muffled barks) DO NOT LISTEN TO THE KAT! Someone let us OUT of here!!! Otherwise – NO PARTY!!!
12:12 pm on February 5th, 2012
T&G I’ll get you out of there as soon as I arrive if you haven’t figured out how to do so before that time.
Thanks for the link and Barb’s photo, Staff.
Fellow Sibers: Right now the Siberian team is running in 8th place in the Quest…less than 30 minutes behind Lance Mackey. Not that any of this has any meaning this early in the race.
12:14 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb’s sister (think snarky female dog), who is 60, thinks this blog and Barb’s involvement are “bizarre”. However, she is going to a Super Bowl party this afternoon, hosted by her ex-husband’s faternity brother. She has been divorced from hubby #1 for 25 years. She leaves hubby #2 home alone every year and goes to this party, because 41 years ago, back in 1971, she was The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi at her college. Talk about resting on your laurels! Does anyone else think that is bazarre?
12:21 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb, obviously that woman is living in the past. And anyone who thinks we are bizarre is weird.
Huh!
12:22 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb needs to proof – her last two posts are messy. Sorry about that!
12:23 pm on February 5th, 2012
WHEW! Mama heard us and rescued us. And now those Wrotten Kats are in serious trouble! (buy why was Mama trying so hard not to laugh?)
Anyway – we are back to setting up the tent for the party. All of you who are blurring in, look for the big silver tent with purple pennants flying in the wind. And sniff for hot wings and t-bones.
Barb – if your involvement with this here blog is bizarre, then guess we are all in that same boat. And we LIKE it. We would much rather have you and Maggie than someone who still identifies with something so long gone by. Anyway, lots of people think Mama is bizarre for trying to make it as an artist (and for other things)
How about if the Plunderers all tell us about why their friends, family or foes think THEY are bizarre? That would be a fun way to pass the day waiting for the party.
12:24 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb, that does sound bizarre, and we don’t understand how Hubby #2 deals with it. As for others understanding this blog or our involvement, everyone we know just kind of rolls their eyes.
Glad to hear the puppies get adopted. We just worry about Mom. As you know, she is a s*u*c*k*e*r for lost puppies.
Those Sibes will win. We just know it!!! At least in the after-race glamour contest.
The ice sculpture is cool, but unfortunately not cool enough. Too bad. What a strange winter this is.
That kat needs a smack to the head.
12:40 pm on February 5th, 2012
Well in our family the ‘girls’ think it is wonderful cause we are all on the blog although the Chatty Librarian is a lurker mostly. However our brother, the Turtle Man, (talk about bizarre) is not sure at all about this. He was disgruntled during my transplant to discover that you all got information first.
He told Dawson that “You mean some dog’s blog knows more about her than we do????”
snicker.
He got over it though.
12:53 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb, Your sister’s behavior is bizarre. The plunderers are not.
There are not many places on the internet, I bet, where people get along as well as we do and for so long a time.
Mom and I don’t really tell people details about the blog because we wouldn’t know how to even begin explaining it. We just say we have friends all over the country that we talk to on the internet. We do talk about Snowhook because friends know that mom has been a fan of the Iditarod for years. I show everyone my Iditarod tag and tell them that our photos are going along on the Iditarod this year. They are impressed.
12:57 pm on February 5th, 2012
Welcome back Barb.
And, it doesn’t matter what other people think about this blog.
1:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
Ihave been watching and listening to music montage #1 on the Iditarod site and when AJ is about to follow his sled down the steps I hear a WoOoooo. It could be the last part of “Here we go.”
But I hear it best when the picture is enlarged.
I wonder if we could convince AJ to put some brightly colored booties on the dogs. Lime green maybe. Then we would know who he was whenever we saw them. Probably you have to order lime green ones way in advance. I expect they keep a stock of black ones on hand.
Off to forage for lunch.
1:05 pm on February 5th, 2012
Mama has decided not to discuss the blog with people who wouldn’t understand. She often mentions things that she has learned or seen here, but she refers to the Plunderers as her “online marketing consultation group” when referencing those interesting things.
And when we were doing the patch she talked about the Marketing Group working with a best selling author in his endorsement of a sports team. See – not one word of that was not true. (And it impressed the h e l l out of the CL)
tee hee
But we gotta go now. Mama is tapping her foot wanting to get into her Mud Room. See ya all tonight!
1:10 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hey Guys,
NBC is airing a Sketchers commercial during the Super Bowl that was filmed at the Tuscon Greyhound Park. We don’t know about youse, but we despise Greyhound Racing, and we have heard that this is one of the cruelest venues. We are pretty sad that they are airing that commercial.
1:29 pm on February 5th, 2012
It sounds like Spence has his hands full with Admin today.
I asked AJ what he said on the Steps. I thought, too that he was saying ‘whoa.’ He told me he was saying, ‘Here we go.’ Once he told me that was what he was saying I could hear it.
1:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
O.Howlers: That commercial is getting a lot of backlash. Change.org is asking people to sign a petition protesting the airing of it during the game.
We don’t discuss the blog with nonbelievers. To our friends and family you all are good friends across the U.S., Canada and Australia (hi Liz!) Sometimes we find ourselves on the verge of slipping a word from the Plunderer’s lexicon into the ccnversation inadvertently though…such as Thank Dog!
SnowBella: I thought AJ was saying whoa also. Will keep listening…that montage is exciting to watch!
1:54 pm on February 5th, 2012
Mom made a comment about her “friends at Chet’s place” and someone corrected her saying “they are not your friends. Because you have never met any of them.”
They are wrong. Our heasts and our spirits have met and our friendships here transcend time and space.
So there!
1:55 pm on February 5th, 2012
Right on, guys. We will heed your advice. Now we will say “Internet literary group”. We have found that there is no good way to describe the blog anyway. Usually you lose people half way through, and their eyes sort of glaze over. People gererally have a short attention span.
1:59 pm on February 5th, 2012
Mom does use the Plunderers lexicon in everyday conversation and emails to friends. Thank Dog is a good one and so is fluffy. Sibes have become Sibers.
2:18 pm on February 5th, 2012
Oley, Barb’s BIL is a very nice and good looking guy. He is welcome to go to the parties, but he doesn’t enjoy the 60+ yr. old frat boys, so he stays home. They don’t have the kind of relationship where he would ask her not to do something. This has nothing to do with her ex, it is more about her getting a lot of attention.
We do not like the Greyhound racing either. I don’t think the public really understands what goes on behind the scene.
2:24 pm on February 5th, 2012
I feel quite protective of the Plunderers. In the beginning I tried to explain it to a couple of people and they said it was crazy. That made me mad. The Royals’ Mum taught me never to explain anything—I like that rule.
My family knows about and loves the Plunderers. Coach was there when I posted a special message to you on our blog last year, and my brother simply describes it by saying, “she talks to dogs and cats.” He is says it matter of factly and doesn’t leave any room in the conversation for naysayers.
I have another friend that knows about you, but forgets and refers to my friends on this here blog as the Marauders, and one of my bosses knows about the ‘dog people.’ Jodi, friend of the Kennel, asks about the Plunderers all the time. When she heard of Team Shake your Bootie and Team Feed the Giant she said she would help out by offering up some homemade beef jerky. Jodi was also looking forward to meeting Rio’s friend and disappointed when I told her it wasn’t going to happen this year.
I think that each of us belong on this blog, and who cares if we couldn’t pick each other out of a line up. My prediction—Admin isn’t the only one offering predictions—two things would happen if a Plunderer called another to bail them out of jail: 1) they would be excited to meet each other and 2) they’d be in for a good story.
2:50 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hello Staff?
Uh,could you help me out? I’m in jail somewhere near Niagara Falls…a place called Goat Island. It’s a long story…I’ll tell you later.
3:00 pm on February 5th, 2012
Getting Dawson out of jail or a tree with Rio—Staff has all the fun.
3:10 pm on February 5th, 2012
Mom ususally doesn’t talk much about what happens on the blog. Her girlfriends at work know that she follows the Chet the Dog blog and Dad thinks that our friendships are really neat. He is more apt to try to explain it to others than Mom. The girls at work also know about Snowhook because WhiteyLance’s mouse pad is there. My Dog, one of the girls at work has hundreds of “friends” on Facebook so she really can’t say anything about our tight group of on-line friends.
Wonder when Book5 (A Fistful of Collars) is coming out? Chet?
3:36 pm on February 5th, 2012
Gus&BooBear: Seems we remember Chet mentioning on facebookie a while back a September release date for Fist Full of Collars.
3:41 pm on February 5th, 2012
Bizarre! ….My friend knows that I post on this blog, but she doesn’t tell anybody else because they already think her pugs are strange…heh! ….I do have one request for any Plunderer that sends me stuff (like books or toffee or baseballs) please address the package to my friend and not Me, Rio…sniff!…Her mother cannot and will not except the fact that I actually get snail mail…heh!
Project!… Someone here has been working really hard on a very pink project…snort!… She’s been having a lot of fun with this one…heh!….Beau and I are watching the Puppy Bowl and rough housing during the commercials…grunt! wheeze!….I can still kick that guys butt!…heh!
3:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
Taking a quick break from the Mud Room to have a snack. We are watchig the Puppy Bowl. This is making Mama want to get a baby Corgi puppy. NO WAY! We figure – 2 hands, 2 Corgis. Thats the limit. Don’t know how Melanie and the Howlers folks do it!
4:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rose!…My friend told me to tell you she got your you-know-what and says you are a very, very lucky girl to be married to such a generous Prof….snort!….Whatever that means…sniff!
4:50 pm on February 5th, 2012
Catching up on The Firm before blurring off to the party (don’t forget to pick us up Wolfie)

Hey!…Did everybody go to the party without me?…sniff!

Hey! what happened to my avatar?
4:59 pm on February 5th, 2012
I’m here.
The Borzoi must have Bear’s avatar. Bear, I am sure she is putting it to good use for the Motherland.
5:00 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio: I have to admit, the Prof is a pretty good guy. He just thought (and I agreed) that said amount was too little for the beautiful you-know-what.
5:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rebecca: Has that beautiful quilt being raffled been test by Belle-Starr?
5:13 pm on February 5th, 2012
Commercials!….We here love watching the big game, but I am really looking forward to seeing the Pug Commercials….snort!snort!
5:16 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rose!….Do you want to see the Pink thing she is working on right now?…heh!
5:22 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio: I want to see it too!
5:25 pm on February 5th, 2012
Avatar trouble again? I bet Nattie is up to no good. Natasha, just behave yourself and go to the party like a good girl!
Barb had such a good time Friday and Saturday. She hung out at the bike shop yesterday and it was such fun. Lots of people coming in, shooting the breeze and looking at bikes. Very positive vibes going on in that place!
They had a cub scout troop come in and get a lesson on changing a tire and fixing a chain. 9 6-yr olds and their parents. Segued into a lesson on nutrition so one would have energy to ride their bikes. Kids were asked to put foods in the correct spot on the food pyramid chart. One of the kids put chocolate chip cookies under 6-11 serings per day instead of at the very top! Funny!
5:27 pm on February 5th, 2012
Maskers!….I didn’t make you for a Pink-loving kind of Kool-Kat…grunt!…Whats up with that?…heh!…We have to go check her kick-ass meatloaf…sniff!sniff!
5:28 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb, When your house sells, won’t you and Maggie get to move closer to the bike shop?
5:32 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio: I absolutely do!!!
5:41 pm on February 5th, 2012
Carpola!
I caught a ride east after cards last night and arrived in Niagara Falls this morning. I heard about a place called Three Sisters Island and since I am one of 3 sisters I decided to take a detour. To get to 3 Sisters I had to go across Goat Island. I stopped at the Hair O’ the Dog pub and saw that the Puppy Bowl was on tv. A huge man sat next to me and we struck up a conversation. Turned out he was a football player named Leonard. I told him about the football players that acted as human sleds and raced down the ski hill on their bellies with kids on their backs. “I can beat that”, he laughed. “I’ll take you over the Falls on my back!” I knew he was yoking so I said, “I’m in!”
We went outside to look at the Falls and suddenly we were surrounded by police, cuffed and taken to the local hoosegow. I tried to tell them that I was not going to go over the Falls, that I was on my way to a retirement/supper bowl party with my friends from Chet the Dog Blog. They looked at each other and nodded, then took me out of my cell and drove me to the mental health facility and put me into a padded room, saying I was a danger to myself!
I got lucky when one of the cops told his wife about the crazy woman he’d locked up and how she was ranting and raving about Chet the Dog. This woman was a quilter and had been to a quilting marathon where she’d heard a very sane woman mention Chet the Dog. A phone call was made, a conversation ensued and thank Dog! I was released with apologies from the police and they have agreed to give me a ride to the party if I agree not to press charges for false arrest. Done.
5:43 pm on February 5th, 2012
(((Yawn )))
Oh dear, Oh dear I had a lovely nap and forgot to let Alice out to get the lear jet. And I forgot to watch Puppy bowl but it seems to be on every 2 hours so I will just watch it in an hour and 1/2.
Mr Husky, not that I am awake, when do you want Alice to pick you up? And does anyone else need a ride.
Dawson, if you weren’t kidding I would be there. Alice would jet me over and we would parachute down with tons of money. I have a money source. heh heh heh. I hear you always have to pay bails in cash.
Hey Rio’s friend. I am making meatloaf too. That is what I was doing when I remembered Alice was trapped inside and couldn’t get to the jet hangers. My hands were all goopy and I just had to ignore her constant nagging until they were dry again.
5:49 pm on February 5th, 2012
Unfinished!….She’s hesitant to let me post the photo because she says it is very Unfinished….sniff!… But I think you can tell what it is going to be, almost…heh!…The tire is not finished yet, the leaves aren’t done, and the top isn’t even started…grunt!…She is still going on about all the stuff that hasn’t been completed so I am going to post it while she is distracted…wheeze!
5:53 pm on February 5th, 2012
Dawson is at it again with her LMFAO stories. Dawson, you really should be a writer for one of the comedy shows.
So meatloaf is the meal au jour? We missed that plan and are doing a stewing chicken. It will be done by the time we get back from the party.
6:06 pm on February 5th, 2012
Dawson: You have the best adventures. I think it has something to do with your ability to leave your yard.
Rio: That project is beautiful. I’m so jealous of your friend’s talent.
AJ and I both awoke this morning with a cold. Mine is a bit worse than his cold. I’m going to rest a bit before heading to T&G’s for the party. AJ is going to train later so it will just be the C team and I at the party.
Rose: Belle Starr wants to know if she can visit you and the Professor after the party. I told her it isn’t polite to invite herself, but does she listen to me?
6:07 pm on February 5th, 2012
So – Ve are here! Ve have on the s h o e s of dancing. Ve are vearing very best hat. So – Vhere is my Siber Doggie? Vhere is Vhitey Lance and Franklin and Volfie and Bear? Vhere are all my handsome escorts?
All I see is giant bowl of chicken vings vith step-stool leading up to them….is for Rio, no?
Maybe Natasha is too early? Ve may come back later – if champagne holds out.

Rio: Another fabulous creation in progress! Mom LOVES it already!

Off to the party! (where’s my carpet ride?)
6:13 pm on February 5th, 2012
Gulp, Natasha, I am here.
Alice can pick me up any time she chooses. I am at the airport and waiting. Alice flies very fast…at warp speed.
Rebecca, It is okay if Belle Starr invites herself somewhere. I do it all the time.
Dawson gets to have such fun in her travels.
Rio, The project is beautiful and it isn’t too pink.
6:13 pm on February 5th, 2012
Wings!….Did someone say Wings?…snort!… I’m already there and in the nick of time too!…heh!…The Game is going to start any minute now! Gimme a plateful of wings and a great big bowl of cold beer…gruff!wheeze! ….Parteeeeee!…Go Patriots!…snort!snort!
6:15 pm on February 5th, 2012
Thanks Staff, I will look at the webcams while I am waiting at the airport for Alice and munching on a bag of the Royal Mum’s chips.
6:18 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hey Mr. Husky, here I am. Bring those wings up here. I will trade you some Salmon Bon-bons for some wings.
Move over Abbie and let someone else have a little treat.
Whoosh Here we gooooooooooooooooooooooo…..
6:20 pm on February 5th, 2012
Wow that was fast. Thank Dog Alice can really zoom in that jet. I was afraid Rio would eat up all the wings. Move over you pug you. Let a girl near the food.
Oh yeah,
Alice and Mr.Husky are bringing in the bon-bons.
6:20 pm on February 5th, 2012
We’ll be there in no time and I will make the trade with you.
6:22 pm on February 5th, 2012
The dogs and Luna and Belle Starr have plied me with day time cold medicine and insisted we head to the party now.
BSD: If you need a ride, we can pick you up on the dog sled. I’m sure Belle Starr and Luna will make space for you in the sled bag.
6:24 pm on February 5th, 2012
Tupper!…The big screen TV is GREAT!…heh!…This beats the one at home by a mile-high!….chug!chug!….burrrrrp!
6:28 pm on February 5th, 2012
SnowBella: Yes, please pick us up. I don’t know what happened to Wolfie, If he comes soon we can all go together.
6:33 pm on February 5th, 2012
BSD: We’ll be there in two shakes of a pug’s tail.

Rio, That is beautiful, and not too pink. Is it going to be a framed piece when done?
Siber, Barb will be moving back near the Woodstock area, so 20 +/- minutes from the bike shop. She would like to work there 1 or 2 days per week, as needed.
Yesterday when she and Josh were driving back to his home in Woodstock, they passed a group of 60-70 people out on the sidewalk if front of a little house. Josh said it was a home tour for Groundhog Day. I guess they do a little walking tour of the homes that were featured in the movie. The big Victorian that was the B&B was right at the end of the street, several houses away from this group. They do this little guided tour evey year. Josh said one of his friends was one of the kids playing in the park. He did not become rich and famous like YSAS.
6:40 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio: Your friend’s project is beautiful. The owner of this piece will be one lucky dog (or human)!
Belle Starr: You tell your two-legged mama that you never need an invitation to stop by!!!
6:45 pm on February 5th, 2012
SiberH: Sounds like Natasha has plans for you…If you need to make a quick get-away, I’m sure Belle-Starr can you directions, or you can blur over together.
6:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
Lights flashing and sirens blaring! Whooo hoooo!
Go Chet the Dog Blog! Plunderers rule!
Yeah for the absence of the Crazy Lady!
Hip hip Hooray for the Royal’s mum!
Thanks for the ride, Clyde.
Wait! My boxes!
Hey everyone! Got a beer? The kind with a root in it?
6:53 pm on February 5th, 2012
Score!….uh oh! Giants score first…snort!…ABBYTHEKAT! You have eaten almost all of the Hot Wings….grump!….Tupper! Abbie ate all my wings…snort! …This is terrible!….ach!
6:59 pm on February 5th, 2012
At this point in the game, maybe I should just go outside in the snowbank and follow the Quest on my IPaw. I’ll have to take some food with me.
7:09 pm on February 5th, 2012
I brought medallions of pork tenderloin and strip loin steaks pounded thin, sliced into strings, sprinkled with garlic powder and pepper. Both ready to go on the grill or eaten raw as per your preference.
No Siber: Don’t dig in that big box! That is a present for T&G’s mum. Here, take a box of steak to share with the sled dogs. I
7:10 pm on February 5th, 2012
Fluffy!…. I loved Fluffy “The Missing Kat” commercial….heh!snort!heh!…..That one sent beer right out my nose…cough!sneeze!
7:17 pm on February 5th, 2012
oooooh satin pillows…yummy food, good friends and Supper Bowl/Freedom party. Ah, this is the life.
7:30 pm on February 5th, 2012
Missing kat Dorita ad. Hey! That’s the Crash-The-Super-Bowl ad I’ve been voting for for weeks and weeks.
7:33 pm on February 5th, 2012
OMD! NEVER, NEVER AGAIN! The Pack was singing so loud that they fogged up the windows. Couldn’t see a blasted thing! Defogger couldn’t get up with them.
Luckily, I saw a lights in the mist and followed those straight to the party.
The Pack had to howl even LOUDER because of the sirens!
I’ve told them they had the wrong game, but NO, there was no stopping them …
Oh Doggy, here they come.
Take us out to the par-tay
Take us out to our friends;
Going to eat some lobster and steak,
We don’t care if we can’t stay awake.
Let us chase and tackle some Giants
Though not AJ; he’s our friend.
For it’s one, two, three guys to chase,
Til we’re kicked out on our ends!
7:34 pm on February 5th, 2012
The Dorito ad is my favorite, also.
Dawson, Raw is fine with me.
7:36 pm on February 5th, 2012
We will have a couple of those pieces of pork tenderloin, grilled please. The aroma is making my mouth water. We brought garlic bread and a rice pilaf for a side dish.
7:38 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hi eveyone! Just try to ignore the Pack, they are in rare form tonight.
Thanks Dawson for lighting our way.
Rio, you tell your friend that her project is like a taste of Spring!
Here’s a mess of Clam Chowda and the NY chocolate cheesecake.
Now where are those Lobstas?
7:42 pm on February 5th, 2012
Missing!…Way to go Beat! That was a funny ad…snort!…I wonder when the Pug commercials are going to be on?…wuffle!….Tupper! Is that new batch of Wings done yet!…grunt!…Hungry here! It’s almost Half-time already, you know!…burrp!
7:47 pm on February 5th, 2012
I like the one where the old lady and the baby get the Doritos.
Little nasty kid …
7:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
Finally, The Patriots get their act together!
7:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
I brought some throw pillows to chew on if needed.
7:50 pm on February 5th, 2012
Oh yes, please!
NY chocolate cheesecake and New England clam chowder, in that order.
Rio: I saw your friend’s latest quilling project. Very vibrant. I love the pearly centers.
Siber H: Was it Mike Ellis that has the Siberian’s?
7:54 pm on February 5th, 2012
The Puppy Bowl was good. Though I have to say if I were picking a puppy I would not pick any with terrier in it. Not that they aren’t nice and cute, but they have WAY too much energy for me.
7:55 pm on February 5th, 2012
Dawson, yes, It is Mike Ellis that has the Siber team.
well, well, well, This game is looking up. I am not watching this half-time. I’m heading for the kitchen.
7:55 pm on February 5th, 2012
Sorry, guys, mom went shopping at her local quilt shop and I had to wait for her return. I am almost there, and I can blur anyone home who needs a ride!
So, what’s the score? I am referring to the refreshments, not the game!
Toffee for everyone!
7:57 pm on February 5th, 2012
I love the Newfs song…’specially the lines about the Giants!
SiberH! Quit digging in that box. That’s clay from my back yard for The Royal’s mum to play
inwith.Oof! Nice tackle Max! Down goes SiberH. Heh!
7:58 pm on February 5th, 2012
Half-Time!….I hope SiberH comes in from the cold to watch the Madonna Half-Time show…snort!…I’m pretty sure she is one of his favorites…heh!cough!…Beer here! Where are those Wings at?…grunt!
7:59 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio, your friend creates the most amazing work of art. This latest piece is so pretty and so sweet that it made mom a little misty eyed.
Honk.
7:59 pm on February 5th, 2012
Wolfie: Welcome! I’m glad you made it. Toffee sounds great.
Stinky Mama really out did herself with the accommodations. Oh, Luna is in charge of making root beer floats if anyone is interested.
8:00 pm on February 5th, 2012
Sniff.
8:01 pm on February 5th, 2012
Make mine a Double Dawson.
8:01 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio, Madonna, BARF
I won’t dig, Dawson, I won’t dig. Crapola, this clay is like glue.
8:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
along with a root beer float!
8:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
Is everyone excited about Madonna? I hope she doesn’t talk in her fake English accent. She was raised in NYC wasn’t she? We will watch some of half time, then will catch up on Downton that we missed last week.
8:05 pm on February 5th, 2012
I could get katty and say her costume makes her look fluffy.
Oh Dog, Where is Bruce Springsteen when we need him?
8:06 pm on February 5th, 2012
I’ll have a Double Dawson!
8:06 pm on February 5th, 2012
Dawg!….Oh SiberH, do you have any room for me in that pile o’ dirt?…grunt!… This is the stupidest half-time show ever so far…sniff! grunt!
8:08 pm on February 5th, 2012
I’ll have a Double Dawson!
Man it wouldn’t let me make a real DD.
Madonna isn’t quite as agile as she used to be. But than she 53 and moves better than I do!
8:08 pm on February 5th, 2012
Come on out, Rio, but stay out of the clay. Dawson set a trap for me.
8:10 pm on February 5th, 2012
Why do all these lights remind me of disco?
Though it’s interesting seeing the Newfs marching around with some of the Kats on their backs.
8:11 pm on February 5th, 2012
Here we come – another wheelbarrow FULL of hot wings. Rio – share some of this load ok?
Dawson – THANKS for the clay. How did you manage to hold onto that during your unfortunate incarceration?
Melanie – ummm, could you ask Franklin to get up? That funny squeeky sound you hear is Basil – he was already on that satin cushion when Frank decided to sit on it.
Clam chowda for us!
8:12 pm on February 5th, 2012
Wolfie: Natty was just asking about you. Yum!…you brought some of your Wonderful Toffee.
8:13 pm on February 5th, 2012
Yawn.
Halftime seems like a good time to sneak away for a nap.
8:15 pm on February 5th, 2012
Toffee!!!! FRANKLIN! Get up now … Um, I don’t see Basil anywhere on the pillow, but I still sort of hear a muffled meow.
8:15 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hey, y’all! Sorry I’m late, but Mom decided to whip up some sugar cookies to go along with her cream cheese pie. We’re really not duplicating Melanie’s cheesecake, because our pies are for us four-leggeds, since we can’t have the chocolate! (I bet she planned it that way!)
I tried to get on here early this morning — just after Spence and Admin posted — but for some reason my post disappeared, and when I tried to post it again, it said I was duplicating a previous post! No double Dawson here!!!
8:17 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hi Kirby and you are a lucky dawg if you missed half-time.
8:18 pm on February 5th, 2012
Wolfie!… My friend says she thnks this project would look good in a little girls bedroom…snoff!…Or her bedroom, she hasn’t decided yet….heh!
Relief!…Thank dawg that half-time fiasco is over with…sniff!… What a bunch of malarkey. I don’t care how old she is, she should go back to England…grunt!
8:23 pm on February 5th, 2012
Patriots!…They are ahead starting the 3rd quarter….Wooooo!….Sorry about the clay all over yer couch there Golinka…sniff!…This isn’t your new couch is it?…sneeze!
8:27 pm on February 5th, 2012
Me too, Golinka…I’m sorry. It is all Dawson’s fault, you know.
8:29 pm on February 5th, 2012
I missed the half-time show…just as well from what I hear.
8:31 pm on February 5th, 2012
Siiiii-ber. Is time for dance, yes. Ve could not bear to dance vith that silly voman doing song in background. When Natasha starts to grow old, ve vill have sense to act our age.
8:31 pm on February 5th, 2012
(discreet burp) Dog that was GOOD chowda. Can we have some boot rear floats now?
Mama says she will be back soon – something about having to wash Basil off…..
8:31 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hey Wolfie!
Hey Kirby!
Gee, it’s getting crowded down here, think I’ll climb up on the roof to watch the show.
Touchdown! New England!
8:32 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hmmm. not sure if I should cheer in case I jinx anything
8:32 pm on February 5th, 2012
Sled!….heh!snort!… The ad with the Huskies riding in the car after their sled was traded-in…snort!…that’s a good one!
8:34 pm on February 5th, 2012
Hey look everyone – a TRIPLE with Dawson!
Rio and Siber – its ok about the couch. Thats why Mama got leather – we can shed but it won’t stick!
8:35 pm on February 5th, 2012
Natasha! Clap clap clap! Dance Siber H! Dance! Serves you right for trying to blame me for your excavations.
Oh oh…here comes Rose trying to cut in. This should be good!
8:38 pm on February 5th, 2012
Dawson – while you are up on the roof, could you throw Sage and Alice down – they have been throwing the wrappers of the Salmon bon bons at everyone again.
8:40 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rooosssseeee! Play nice! Sorry, Siber-H, I see she’s tripped you into one of your digging projects.
I didn’t get an ad about Huskies and a sled … Had Clint and then a commercial about Wallie computer. Dognabit!
8:41 pm on February 5th, 2012
okay, Borzoi, Let’s dance! And, I would be honored to dance with Rose.
I may have added just a tad of water to that clay in the beginning just to see what would happen. How did I know!
8:44 pm on February 5th, 2012
Okay, Siber-H, where did you dig this guy up?

8:47 pm on February 5th, 2012
These commercials are dumb.
8:47 pm on February 5th, 2012
Yum,
Root beer floats and Cheesecake. Things are going well here. Franklin is carrying me around on his back and it is really easy for me to counter surf from this height. Hi Kirby! Nice to see you!
8:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
Ooooooohhhhhh……..mom is in love.
8:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
Siber, We thought Rio was serious when he said Madonna was one of your favorites! OMD! Rio, she lived in England or maybe still does, but she was a NYC girl, we are sure of it. Was that C Low Green with her? Glad it is over, now does anyone mind if we sneak off to the other room and turn on Downton Abbey? I bet Stover is watching it at this very second!
8:49 pm on February 5th, 2012
Siber ! You get clay all over the dress of Natasha!
And ve have wrapper from ball of salmon in hair! And Rose is drooling on s h o e s. (Newf Rose- not 2 legged Rose).
Natasha is not having good time here.
8:49 pm on February 5th, 2012
SiberH: Stay away from the kiln.
Umm….it seems that Belle Starr bedazzled someone’s Kindle. I’m going to guess by the large letter ‘B’ on the back it belongs to professor Stover. Sorry, B.
8:49 pm on February 5th, 2012
And Wolfie too! Hi there Wolfie. Why are you watching the halftime show? It is much more interesting to mingle with the plunderers.
8:49 pm on February 5th, 2012
Melanie!….Don’t you recognize me?….snort!….That’s the winter coat she made me wear tonight to the party…grunt!….SiberH took that photo during the Half-time geriatric bonanza…heh!
8:54 pm on February 5th, 2012
Grump.
Sage and I were evicted from the roof and Abbie the Kitty is getting a free ride. Maybe someone would give me a ride too? Not you, you little pugster. You are dirty and wet and I wouldn’t ride on your flat little head if you were the last dog on earth.
Somedog tall!
Sniff.
8:57 pm on February 5th, 2012
Natasha – what are YOU complaining about. First I get sat on by sa gigantic Newf rear end. Then when he got up – I was ummmm, lets say I was stuck where the sun don’t shine. So Mama gets me by the scruff of the neck and dunks me in a sink of soap.
You want I should have her do the same to you?
8:58 pm on February 5th, 2012
Numbers.
Mr.Staff has numbers.
He has 9 and 0. We didn’t think those numbers were very good, but they have come up twice already. We are hoping for a field goal and another touchdown to make it 0 and 9 again.
9:01 pm on February 5th, 2012
That puppy is soooo cute. Is that a Chow pup?
This is enough mingling, we are going back inside to watch Downton with T & G’s Grandpaw. Later gaters.
9:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
Borzoi, I have never claimed to be a sophisticated guy.
Melanie, I think that is a Yeti.
Madonna’s marriage to the British guy went South, so I imagine she is out of England by now. They could have kept her. We wouldn’t have missed her.
9:04 pm on February 5th, 2012
Barb!…That’s not a Chow-Chow pup!…snort!…That’s me in my winter coat…sniff!
9:14 pm on February 5th, 2012
Here is a picture from the Yukon Quest facebook page.

9:15 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio: I love your coat.
A rootbeer float toast to the Royal Mum!
May her hands be dipped in clay as often as she likes!
9:18 pm on February 5th, 2012
Dawson: Here, here!
9:21 pm on February 5th, 2012
Toast!…To Golinka for getting er done and really quitting that crap job!…Wooooo!

To the Royal Mum!
9:26 pm on February 5th, 2012
To our gracious hostess with the mostess!
9:29 pm on February 5th, 2012
Another toast to Golinka!! I knew she would walk out and not look back when the time came.
She is the guest of honor so all of us need to do the cleanup after the party. The kats need to pick up their own bon bon wrappers. I would have joined them in throwing wrappers off the roof, but I was stuck in clay.
Beautiful photo, Staff.
9:30 pm on February 5th, 2012
Some great pictures of the Yukon Staff.
Is that a 300 mile race?
9:31 pm on February 5th, 2012
Siber: We are happy to help with the clean-up.
9:34 pm on February 5th, 2012
Masquers, It is a 1000 mile race.
About the Yukon Quest’s GPS Tracking system. They are using a different company to do it this year. It sucks. The map is too small and the trackers do not update like they should. The Iditarod’s GPS Tracker will be so much better.
9:37 pm on February 5th, 2012
Okay Siber.
I will sweep up the clay. I should not have tempted you with it but I couldn’t help myself.
Staff: Cool pictures of the Quest.
Masquers: The Yukon Quest is a 1000 mile race. It is similar in difficulty to the Iditarod.
9:37 pm on February 5th, 2012
Giants!….The Giants could win this game!….sniff!….Now I am chewing on Golinka’s couch pillows….gasp!
9:44 pm on February 5th, 2012
Gasp! They could win by one.
9:45 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rio: I will trade you the couch cushion for a for wing.
9:47 pm on February 5th, 2012
Mama says thahk you all for your support and encouragement. She knew she had to get away from there and does love her clay play, so she is a very happy girl.
Just in case you were wondering where all the Newfs went – Melanie was helping Mama in the kitchen when there was a knock on the door. It was the CL!!! She wanted Mama to come back so she could go see here #$%^&*&^%$ grandchild. Melanie borrowed the hitch line that Bella brought with her gang, and a toboggan from the rafters of the garage. She stuck CL to the toboggan with some of Dawson’s clay, and the Newfs grabbed the harnesses in their teeth (they wouldn’t fit around them) and are dragging the CL off into the sunset. Melanie decided she better tag along, just in case the Newfs got a little too boisterous.
So good night Newfs – good night Melanie. Thanks for the chowda and cheesecake – they were great!
And now for some good news – Mama hired a new green cleaning service. They told her not to bother picking anything up off the floors – they would do it all.
Here they come now – OH NO – the cleaning service is GOATS!!!!
9:48 pm on February 5th, 2012
OMG!…. The Patriots only have less than a minute to winnut….gurgle!
9:50 pm on February 5th, 2012
Seconds!…32 seconds to winnut!….gasp!
9:52 pm on February 5th, 2012
Seconds!…5 seconds to winnut!….gah!
9:53 pm on February 5th, 2012
What with one thing and another I found myself chewin on the same couch cushion as Rio….
9:53 pm on February 5th, 2012
Nope!…The New York Giants winnut…sob!sob!sob!
9:55 pm on February 5th, 2012
But ya gotta admit – Eli Manning is quite a football player!
9:55 pm on February 5th, 2012
Time for clean up. I can’t find Belle Starr. I wonder if she is ‘helping’ the Newfs.
9:56 pm on February 5th, 2012
Carpola.
9:56 pm on February 5th, 2012
Lovely party T&G’s Mum. Congratulations on your freedom.
It was sure nice of Dawson to bring you some Alaskan clay. She must have dug it up way last summer cause it sure is frozen up there now.
Alice and Abbie, the Herbals and any other kats are cleaning up the bon bon wrappers. There were only a few as I bought in bulk and they wrapped 12 in a pkg. It will sure be easier to clean them up than all that clay! They are feeding them to Franklin who is loving them. Good thing they are wax paper. I think it will go through nicely. snicker
9:57 pm on February 5th, 2012
sigh, The Patroits came close…sniff. It was a good football game and I have to work at liking football.
10:00 pm on February 5th, 2012
Lady!….Who is that crazy lady being pulled down the hill on a tobaggan screaming her bloody head off about some *%^$^%*^* spawn of satan?…sniff!
Bad!…I feel bad for Dan, Melanie, Clarkson, Spencer and Admin…wuffle!….I know all these guys really, really wanted the Patriots to winnut….sniff!…Now you guys know how I feel most of the year…wuffle! (but not this year!…woooo!)
10:02 pm on February 5th, 2012
Thanks for the party, the great food and wonderful company. I hope Melanie keeps the Newfs from getting carried away. I almost feel sorry for the CL although she keeps asking for it.
Goodnight all.
10:05 pm on February 5th, 2012
Good night Dawson – hope your trip home is a little less circuitous. Thanks for riding herd on the Kats.
10:11 pm on February 5th, 2012
Great party, Golinka, and we are very happy for your new-found freedom. Thanks for being the hostess with the mostess.
Those goats will do a fast job of clean up and they are cheap too. Then when they are done T & G can herd them, unless that bunny shows up! Those dump sheep didn’t even realize that if they ran him over it would be rabbit stew! Bet the goats are way smarter.
Safe travels home to one and all!
10:15 pm on February 5th, 2012
Thanks T&G for a lovely party. We are very happy for you.
The Borzoi always get pissed off at me…gah, women
I’m flying home with Alice.
Rebecca, You and AJ take care of your colds and feel better. Colds are miserable. I hate for mom to get a cold.
Since he isn’t running the Quest this year, Sebastian Schnuelle is reporting on the Quest on their facebookie page. That is a nice touch.
night all
10:21 pm on February 5th, 2012
Siber-H: Thanks for the get well wishers.
The Quest is 1000 mile race, yet they also have a 300 mile Quest that serves as a qualifier for the Quest or Iditarod.
Oh, no. It looks like Rio might have dozed a bit—over doing it on beer, hot wings and couch cushions will do that to a pug—and Belle Starr may have bedazzled him. Who knew a pug could be so sparkly.
I packed doggie bags for everyone if you like. The counter and couches have been wiped down, the hot wing wheelbarrow has been hosed out, and the holes have been un-dug.
10:23 pm on February 5th, 2012
Ok – looks like we are all set here – Good night Barb, good night Siber. The goats are just about done and Gilly is sound asleep on a satin cushion, so she won’t even get to herd them back into the truck.
The tent people will be here in the morning to take down the mighty silver and purple tent.
yaaaawwwnnnn – we have been cooking all day and dancing all night, so we are going to head off to bed.
Thanks again for all your good wishes – Plunderers RULE!
G’night everyone.
10:28 pm on February 5th, 2012
Rats, I just got here and it is all over. But…On the way I met the most amazing Puggle and…oh never mind, a story for another time. Looks like a good time was had by all. Go Jets!! snicker
10:32 pm on February 5th, 2012
Macy: Help yourself to a doggie bag. I’m about to head out now that the Newfs and Belle Starr are back with the gangline and harnesses.
10:36 pm on February 5th, 2012
Downton!….Home again and watching Downton Abbey…snort!…I have no idea what is happening in the story line so far…ker-fluffle!…My friend is feeling sad because she has to go back to the busy-place tomorrow…sniff!…I don’t think she is happy there…wuffle!
