Sounds interesting….
Good morning all.
9:42 am on December 5th, 2013
Huh?
Good morning Bee
9:46 am on December 5th, 2013
Good morning, everyone! Sunny up? Wish we had some sun here. Melanie and BSD have stolen our sun. We think they want a ransom. November was cold and Dec is hot š BTW Tank lives in Long Beach, CA with mom’s baby bro so no chance of a tortoisecicle. The has a winter nest under the slab foundation of the house.
We will have a thunderous Thursday. If anyone (Wolfie or BSD) has a better idea, we are open to suggestions.
Whoo hoo, Nana is HOME!

T&G’s Mama: Break a leg at the show. Storm shouldn’t get to y’all till the show is done.

Sunny knocked over a little girl at a White House reception. Here is the story and photo. I was more concerned seeing a child in a walker right behind the little girl…

My take on Sunny. Still a puppy and that two year old had something good smelling on her face.
Also . . the person in charge of leading Sunny was NOT paying attention.
I did what Michelle did once with my mother and Bear. Zoe (still recovering from surgery) had Bear on a lead and another dog took offense.
I grabbed the lead half way down and pulled Bear up into the air to safety.
Oh yeah, Bear was a half Newf, half Lab dog. He weighed 125 pounds.
I also remember yelling at the owner of the other dog.
Down the hill I go . .
10:33 am on December 5th, 2013
Oooooo – Melanie is dissin’ the First Lady……
10:44 am on December 5th, 2013
Sunny was most apologetic, and the little girl got the photo of a lifetime. No harm, no foul.
off to the store to prepare for The Ice Storm of the Century, or at least this week.
10:56 am on December 5th, 2013
Macy: You are right. That photo is one the little girl will treasure always.
Ice storm! Gulp. We heard tell of that ice storm headed your way.
All youse in its path stay safe!
Have to go. Bear has spied a steak in the fridge and is already planning on steak and eggs for his breakfast.
10:57 am on December 5th, 2013
Macy’s Mom: remember, if the power goes out in an ice storm, the whole world is a fridge!
10:58 am on December 5th, 2013
Just glad Sunny didn’t jump on the kid with the walker. It would have been a national political event! We agree, little girl wasn’t hurt, didn’t even cry. Sunny just got a little excited. Happens all the time around here.
Macy, do you have lettuce, shredded or not, on your grocery list?
Well, Jessica DIL and computer guru, was here for an hour trying to figure out why we can email pictures from this computer, but can’t upload them to the blog. She thinks it has something to do with a firewall, or some restriction that is not allowing permission for this computer to upload. She still hasn’t figured out what we need to do. We have never been able to put a picture on the blog since we got this new computer and Windows 8.
Off to Wally World to buy some cotton balls for a snowman project for Jack and the 2 neighbor boys for their play date tomorrow. BBL

O bama, O Rio…knew we’d hear from you! You are something else.
11:29 am on December 5th, 2013
NO LETTUCE, NO WAY!! Just beans, chili, tater soup makings, hot chocolate. In Texas, we have to cram all our cold weather favorites in when we can.
11:38 am on December 5th, 2013
Macy, you go girl! š
12:05 pm on December 5th, 2013
Today the HOH is doing T-Day dinner we didn’t have went the peeps went to VA. Garlic, sage broasted Turkey tenderloins, candied yams, green bean/asparagus casserole, smashed ‘taters & gravy, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, Maybe a slim jim to top it off…we see an after dinner nap in our future. Still no sun and 74*F here. Will COLD off when the storm comes through on Sunday.
12:15 pm on December 5th, 2013
How embarrassing. Both of us have done that many times. Mom yells, little girls laugh, we just jump again. It is our schtick.
(We love kids!)
12:16 pm on December 5th, 2013
HOH: 74 and youse are complaining? More like 34 here. We’ll trade ya. ^..^
12:18 pm on December 5th, 2013
Temps have dropped drastically here too. Mid 50s yesterday, mid 30s today, 0 degrees actual temp by early next week. Sunday and Monday we may get 2-3″ of snow. The big ice storm will probably be mostly south of here, Thank Dog.
12:34 pm on December 5th, 2013
Now how did that happen? Sunny has changed from a PWD to an ES! What a transformation. Snicker.
12:47 pm on December 5th, 2013
Barb&Magpie: Weather! I knew it…we are Twins.
Had my Break-fast. Now it’s Naptime.
Macy: It’s way too Cold for Lettuce! Not on our shopping list either.
12:50 pm on December 5th, 2013
Masquers, YES we will complain about 74 when we haven’t seen the sun in 4 days š Where do you think we live??? Fungus corners.
1:37 pm on December 5th, 2013
Whoo! Nana and Melanie, TY for the 1/2 hour of sunshine we have had. Made a difference in mom’s attitude. Still spooky warm. waiting for the something to fall (yes, temperature but also ???).
2:14 pm on December 5th, 2013
Ain’t no sunshine here today
It’s sort of warm but really wet
Ain’t no sunshine here today
And the fog seems here to stay
Anytime the sun goes away.
I didn’t diss Michelle. She wasn’t holding the lead.
2:19 pm on December 5th, 2013
In Texas, anytime it get up to 80 in the winter you can bet there is a norther on the way. They seem to push all the warm air ahead of them.
Memo, move gloves to other jacket, mom. Don’t wear them myself.
2:21 pm on December 5th, 2013
Macy, mom h as same problems with gloves š
Hey, anyone with a gogs, they get playful!
2:22 pm on December 5th, 2013
Sunny day!
If you don’t mind minus 18 F, it’s beautiful.
Hooray!
Steak and eggs for BearSpiritDog. Home sweet home. The Camano Island and Anchorage crews woke up in their own beds this morning.
I’m off to the library, then cribbage games.
2:23 pm on December 5th, 2013
Now I do Therapeutic Imagery, but being me, I get bored being told what to do so make up my own.
The latest . .
I have a gold and silver sprite in a purple tutu and sparkly wellies. It’s amazing how much this sprite looks like I did at ten. snicker.
I play the Hallelujah chorus from the Messiah and she has an absolute blast stomping on every bit of cancer in my liver turning it to gold and silver harmless sparkles that leave my body.
Think of a kid doing puddle jumping.
Near the end when the chorus gets higher and higher? She is spinning and spinning and then lands with a big Joyous Thump!
I love my imagination.
2:28 pm on December 5th, 2013
Melanie. Nice play on Bill Withers. Here is the original.

2:38 pm on December 5th, 2013
HOH: Melanie and I were wondering where OUR sun had gone. It’s okay if you borrow it for a while but please give it back. Brrr.
2:50 pm on December 5th, 2013
Lovely imagery, Melanie. I have a particular spot I use, and have added and subtracted items from it over the years.
Stop the presses. I have prepared a recipe two days in a row. The one today is for Ranch Dressing pretzels. Not really complicated, but with my record…the old man may pass right out, plus I am making Frito Pie for supper. Old family recipe, open can of Wolf Brand Chili, heat up, dump on top of Fritos, add cheese and onions as desired. Do y’all have Wolf Brand Chili where you live? Well that’s too bad. (play on their commercial).
3:38 pm on December 5th, 2013
Macy,
We put our garlic pretzel recipe in the Dishlickers Cookbook. Just sayin’.
3:56 pm on December 5th, 2013
Linda the Lurker makes good ranch pretzels too. We are getting hungry!
4:35 pm on December 5th, 2013
Masquers & Melanie: Think you sun has come back since ours is gone again!.

Loulou was attacked by another dog at day care today. She’s at the vets, had surgery, and I can pick her up at 6 p.m. I have a vet’s bill of $1,200.
Loulou was walking past this dog and then was attacked. The dog slashed her eyelid, narrowly missing her eye. That’s what required the surgery. She also has a puncture wound on the eyelid.
The daycare contacted their lawyers who said when she first came there I signed a waiver, which I did. The lawyer also said they were not to tell me the name of the dog’s owner. However, when the dog’s owner was told about this, he asked if I would let them give him my info and I agreed. He’s supposed to call me tonight.
4:50 pm on December 5th, 2013
Mollypop’s Mom: That is awful. Let us know how Loulou is.
4:51 pm on December 5th, 2013
MollyPop’s Mom: hope everything goes well both in terms of healing and $$.
In Anchorage it is 30 and raining. Streets are an ice skating rink and the falling snow acts like a Zamboni making everything smooth and slick. REBECCA: IF YOU TRAVEL HOME THIS WEEKEND AND DON’T WANT TO DRIVE, REMEMBER THE HOBBIT HOTEL IS OPEN. SDD ME SINCE I DON’T HAVE A REPLACEMENT PHONE YET.
Of course I had to go out to get a new driver’s license and go to a chiropractor. I’ve pinched nerves in my neck and as soon as I got home I looked on Angie’s list and made an appointment. Icing neck in 20 minute intervals (ironic). I think the driving to/from the appointment clutching the steering wheel undoes most of the benefits.
I decided to chip off the ice on the deck and the 18 steps to the ground so that poor Sadie wouldn’t fall. I had just started the very icy steps when Sadie went flying down, went to the bathroom and came flying up–I guess 4 paws are better than two for stability.
Later…
4:51 pm on December 5th, 2013
Om my God, poor little Loulou. How could that happen! Most day care centers do pretty extensive profiles for aggressive behavior, and don’t allow dogs that exhibit any such tendencies.
4:55 pm on December 5th, 2013
MollyPop’s Mom: OMD! Your poor little LouLou! Thank Dog it wasn’t worse than it was. Hopefully the responsible owner will pay her v*e*t bill. Sending Love & Hugs.
4:57 pm on December 5th, 2013
MPM We understand that this can happen even in a family but…gAH! Hope Little LouLou will be ok and you too.

Mollypop’s Mom, We are so sorry this happened to LouLou, but are glad she will be okay. This is tramatic and scary for both of you. I hope the dog’s owner does call you.
5:24 pm on December 5th, 2013
Nelson Mandala gone at 95. RIP.
5:35 pm on December 5th, 2013
LouLou, just show us this guy. No one picks on our pals of the Nation.
Grrrrr, Woof, Woof!
We won’t do anything to’em. Well, sitting comes to mind, on top of a certain person, or maybe drooling a few gallons of drool, or playing a little soccer?
Grrrrrr
5:45 pm on December 5th, 2013
I love the description of Sadie flying down and then back up the icy stairs. “Ice? What Ice?”
6:09 pm on December 5th, 2013
MPM: I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your LouLou. I can’t imagine how scary this must have been for LouLou and you. I hope the owner of the other dog will show some responsibility. Loving hugs for both of you.
Don’t forget Sammie is a Smoocher extraordinaire.
6:12 pm on December 5th, 2013
CHobbit: Please be careful out there! Sadie too! Hope your neck gets better soon.
Pixie: Safe travels to you!
6:21 pm on December 5th, 2013
Zoƫ just told me that she and the Ravem saw Nelson Mandala in Boston. The front entrance of the hotel was mobbed by reporters. The Raven, being The Raven, found out he was going out the back entrance.
My parents hurried to the back and was able to cheer with a much smaller crowd. Zoƫ said thar Mandala had a wonderful smile.
6:23 pm on December 5th, 2013
Ice. I hate ice. I have a tub of sand and a spreader ready to go in the dog stockade. Supposedly, ice tomorrow with snow on top. We shall see.
6:33 pm on December 5th, 2013
Newfs, sorry about the ice report. Hope it is not true We have 2 warm days here before the temp falls. Windows still open here.
6:34 pm on December 5th, 2013
But who stole our sun?
6:46 pm on December 5th, 2013
HOH: It wasn’t us. No sun here.
6:46 pm on December 5th, 2013
Ummm. That wasn’t the News. They didn’t tell me they had changed my name. They were very concerned (as am I) about LouLou.
Now I know that we get a tad upset about about grammar here. But let us not forget about spelling. This person can not even claim it was auto correct.

6:54 pm on December 5th, 2013
Tongues/tongs Gah!
6:54 pm on December 5th, 2013
Mollypop’s Mom: Poor little Loulou! Thank goodness the eye was missed. I do hope the owner of Slasher does the right thing.
Rest in peace, Nelson Mandela.
Melanie & Wookie&Teddy’s Dad: Love that song.
All Plunderers: Be careful on ice!

It is cold here. Mr.Staff is out to a concert. He is going to have a Jimmy John’s Sub before the concert. It is the Steep Canyon Rangers and he is psyched. I am staying home in the warm. And I think I will have some warm soup for supper. With biscuits. Yeah!

Now that I watch this I think I am sorry I said no. This sounds great!
7:11 pm on December 5th, 2013
Very talented group, like so many MR. Staff go to.In the ’70’s played autoharp with s-i-l and her cousin (dulcimer and guitar/banjo) in similar stuff. FUN!

Oh poor little Lulu. I bet that is going to sting when the sedative wears off. Poor little bit. The really important thing is she is OK. They hold our hearts.

LouLou: Wounded but still beautiful. Healing kat kisses.
7:35 pm on December 5th, 2013
The Steep Canyon Rangers sound great. What fun.
Poor Loulou. It could have been much worse if it had gone into the eye. Hope the other guy steps up.
7:37 pm on December 5th, 2013
Poor little LouLou. I can come smooch.
When I went to Kat Kamp, they kept me with the louLou size dogs for a very long time. The animal behaviorist told Mom it was because I was a submissive personality. Momma said I looked like Gulliver when she saw me there with all of my little friends climbing all over me. But needless to say, she could see how the whole idea of daycare is risky, especially for a small dog. Please give Loulou gentle kisses from me, until I get there to smooch her myself.
Nana has 2 great sons.
7:37 pm on December 5th, 2013
And dainty labradoodle kisses.
7:38 pm on December 5th, 2013
Tongue! Now that’s funny!

Dawson: more for your Christmas decor:

Mom had a very late, dark, foggy, long drive home. She is going to go veg and she asked us to cuddle her. Pop got home just as late, as always. They are both worn out, poor old folks.
Good night.

Funny one Melanie.
Nana did a good job raising her sons.
7:46 pm on December 5th, 2013
Melanie: That sign is pretty funny, but a sad statement on the education system.
Nana: What a wonderful family you have!
7:48 pm on December 5th, 2013
LOULOU . . Ouch. Are they making you wear the Elizabethan collar? When you need a chuckle you should ask Mac and Franklin about those collars.
Staff. Great singing!
Kat, you are wonderful dog.
Today I got Fisherman’s Friend and a natural Homeopathic cough medicine. It isn’t perfect, but I can almost talk.
Also got the Christmas tree. It is in a bucket in the west wing.
Going upstairs. May be on later or not.
7:49 pm on December 5th, 2013

LouLou — just let me know where to go and I will protect you. Us newbies need to stick together and I do have a few pounds on you as an advantage. Your protector pal Teddy RR.
8:14 pm on December 5th, 2013
They don’t keep the little doggies seperate from the bigger ones at doggie day care places. They should know better because it is the norm at dog parks.
8:16 pm on December 5th, 2013
Poor little LouLou is going to have some swelling around the eye for few days.
8:19 pm on December 5th, 2013

LouLou: Teddy will be a very strong and brave protector. (whispering) plus he is a lot of fun to play with.

8:36 pm on December 5th, 2013
Rose & Riƶ: Is this with Carrie Underwood? Paws over eyes…I cannot watch. (It’s not that I don’t like her, just how can you improve on the perfection of the original with Julie Andrews?) Let me know what you think.
8:37 pm on December 5th, 2013
Wonder if B is watching.

Add our get well wishes for Lulu – poor baby puppy.
So we have gotten to Boston through drizzly, foggy weather. Unloaded into the show hall moments before the Parking Brute Squad called a tow truck. We were UNLOADING! In a LOADING ZONE! What the heck is the problem.
And once we were unloaded, we realized that the box of new things made this week for this show is still sitting, nice and cozy on the work bench at home.
Carp.
Now in the hotel, clothes unpacked and ironed. Lunch packed for tomorrow. Off to bed so we can be up at 4 am to set our booth up for 9 am opening.
There’s no business like show business.
Good night all.
9:57 pm on December 5th, 2013
SiberH!….I’ve just heard on good authority that Justin Morneau is a great guy…snort!…He is coming over from Staff’s team to be on our team next season…heh!heh!…Just like the great Cuddyer…snort!
10:00 pm on December 5th, 2013
Golinka!…Doesn’t that just burn ya’…grunt!…All that new shiny stuff sitting at home waiting to be donated to the Snowhook Boutique – whenever that will be…heh!heh!…Just a thought, no pressure…wheeze
Crop!…Circles. Somehow we landed on a channel that is showing a crop circle documentary…sniff!…We thought those went out of date a long time ago, but apparently not…grunt!…They are still being created.
10:12 pm on December 5th, 2013
Rio, A guy coming over from Staff’s team might be a good thing. I have hope. Cuddyer was a smart trade.

Eyes drooping,
But, I had tot tell you that YSAS asked LLL why Maria was wearing Pan Am uniform.
I love my guys. Clueless, but cute.

We are watching the last hour of Sound of Music. Not too bad, IMHO.
And Hallmark isn’t all bad. Night all.
10:42 pm on December 5th, 2013
Barb!…Because it is you, I will concede that Hallmark is not that bad. It is a good place for actors to get a job..snort!…The sloppy, blah-zay writing of the stories is what kills my interest…grunt!…Very, very bad or just cookie-cutter quality in most cases…sniff!
10:54 pm on December 5th, 2013
Hocky!….Wow! The Aves were behind by 3 points when we turned the game on, now they are 2 ta 3. Only one point behind….Wooooo!…I am definitely sure they waited for us to tune in before they could get their game plan together…heh!heh!…Exciting!

Yeep!
Rio: 8 to 2! What in blazes happened?

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Chrome. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem resolved soon. Kudos
Hi there! Someone in my Facebook group shared this website with us so I came to give it a look. I’m definitely loving the information.
Greetings from Idaho! I’m bored to death at work so I decided to browse your website on my iphone during lunch break. I love the information you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home.
