Wow!…Shake, Rattle and Roll!… Someone I know has been doing a lot of griping lately about not knowing when, what and where…snort! … Now she will know something, but these places are all so far away… grunt!… Although, the Salem Book Festival might be interesting….. hmmm.

There's a Prince Probus Cahors for $42 a bottle plus shipping on winebuys.com.
4:41 am on July 13th, 2010
PA is leaving MA!! It is going to be hot in Atlanta, ugh, but I am glad he is getting out and seeing more of the country.
I hit the blog early to see if Melanie had checked in with us yet. I am getting worried. I'll be back later in the day.
4:50 am on July 13th, 2010
The Blog Bug got me. It's the same Blog Bug as before.
5:20 am on July 13th, 2010
From Admin: Is the blog bug back? Please let us know. We're not seeing it, and want to be sure before contacting the relevant expert.
5:23 am on July 13th, 2010
Seeing it now! We're on the case.
5:36 am on July 13th, 2010
Thank you Sam. Winebuys.com lists six Cahors, some are Malbec. I would not be willing to pay $42 per bottle. There's one for $17. Pondering….
5:37 am on July 13th, 2010
Testing….
5:39 am on July 13th, 2010
Thank you Sam. Winebuys.com lists six Cahors and some are Malbec. I won't pay $42 per bottle but one is listed at $17. Pondering….
(This is my second message on this topic. The first didn't post.)
5:40 am on July 13th, 2010
Yeah!….Admin is going to kick butt and save the day!…. wooooo!… It should not take that Mike Baker long to fix it this time… snort!…. he should know what is causing the problem because of the last time this happened… grunt!
5:41 am on July 13th, 2010
Ugg, recovering from 24 hour bug. Nasty, nasty, nasty.
Will catch up when I can.
5:48 am on July 13th, 2010
Melanie is back! Sorry you've been ill.
5:50 am on July 13th, 2010
Thanks for the info Sam. They list six.
5:56 am on July 13th, 2010
Seriously?…. You guys would spend $42 bucks on a bottle of wine?… grunt!…Thats alot of chew strips!
5:56 am on July 13th, 2010
Oh Goodie – Melanie is back. She's probably so run down from everything that it was easy for a nasty bug to get her.
Mom is all better today and no hangover either. That means she will take me shopping. When we're here at the ski/golf place, dogs are allowed in the stores.
I love to shop because I manage to get a lot of food and treats. The shopkeepers have stuff right by the cash registers. I mind my manners and don't counter surf – just use my especially cute face. It works every time.
6:03 am on July 13th, 2010
Rio: No I would not spend $42 per bottle. I just ordered one of the Cahors for $18 per bottle. I'll let everyone know how it is.
Glad you're feeling better Mollypop's mom.

I would like to acknowledge the passing of two people who will always be associated with Yankee baseball…Announcer "The Voice of God" Bob Sheppard, and "The Boss" George Steinbrenner.

Hey!… It seems to be working again!… wooo!….Thanks Admin!
8:48 am on July 13th, 2010
Well, tomorrow is a big day here in Chevy Chase — it's summer camp quilting extravaganza/fabric dying day. Although my mom's quilting guild doesn't formally meet over the summer, for the second year in a row now they are having a quilters' summer camp day in our back yard, with the program this year being fabric dying. My dad already started setting up tables in the back yard today, for the ladies to work on. My mom and her friend Marina will be the instructors, and by the end of the day there will be a bountiful supply of dyed fabrics galore done by the 19 ladies who have signed up for the day. Lots for me to do too, with meet and greet for all the ladies, and general supervision, although with pots of dye all over the place, I will need to keep my distance. I definitely do not aspire to the golden retriever tie-dye look. Although I will probably need to make the rounds at least during the lunch break; can never tell, I may get lucky then. Wookie
8:50 am on July 13th, 2010
My Dad would buy the $42 Cahors Black and also one of the lower priced ones. Supposedly the $42 flavor is very intense. But first, he will check our local big wine store to see what they might have.
9:00 am on July 13th, 2010
Thanks, Mike!
9:04 am on July 13th, 2010
Wookie!… I wonder what color he will be by the end of tomorrow??… snort! …Wookie are you going to watch the All-Star game tonight?… wheeze!… A certain Rockies pitcher is pitching the first two innings…heh!
Cahors!… Will someone please explain to me what this wine tastes like?… snort!… And why isn’t some of it sold in the US?… grunt!
9:10 am on July 13th, 2010
Oh I am so busy today I don't know which way is up.
Wookie~ Sounds like a lot of fun! Always is when quilter's get together.
I am busy planning a TOGA! heh heh. You can check it out at

Rio. I will try. I have never seen Ubaldo Jimenez pitch, so it should be quite exciting. I think the National League has a real chance at winning this year, since they have a great pitching line-up going for them (even if my guy Strasburg was left out). Since the National League has lost about 13 straight All Star games, it's about time for them to win one. Hopefully Ubaldo will get them off to a great start. Wookie
9:43 am on July 13th, 2010
All-Stars!… Yes, and we really want that Home Town advantage for when the World Series rolls around…heh!heh!… Treadle on!…Woooo!
9:59 am on July 13th, 2010
vs. an irrelevant expert?
10:19 am on July 13th, 2010
Jasper!… Ole buddy did someone get a job yet?…snort!
10:29 am on July 13th, 2010
Rio: I will let you know what Cahors tastes like when I receive the bottle that I ordered today. I don't know why more of it isn't sold in the U.S. On winebuys.com they listed only six different Cahors and not all were the Malbec grape. They had many many Malbecs from Argentina.
Sam: After your dad does his research on Cahors, could you please report the results.
A baseball question: There is a National league and an American league, right??? Which are the Tigers in? (This is a real question.)
10:36 am on July 13th, 2010
Jasper, that was funny! Laff laff.
10:36 am on July 13th, 2010
The Tigers are in the American League. Whenever you want to know if a team is in the American or National League and what their standing is in the league, just google MLB Standings.
10:37 am on July 13th, 2010
Thanks SH.
10:38 am on July 13th, 2010
B., first Dad has to try to get Cahors locally, then he will order. Then and then and then – oh I don't know. I, too, prefer immediate gratification.
10:39 am on July 13th, 2010
Take your time to recover, Melanie. We are sorry about the 24 hour bug. A person can't function at all with that virus, but we are glad you checked in with us.
11:03 am on July 13th, 2010
HuH?…. What’s this? Stover is taking “a real” interest in baseball!… snort!… Can this be true?
11:20 am on July 13th, 2010
It doesn't mean I'm going to watch the All Stars Game…..Warehouse 13 and White Collar are on at the same time.
11:34 am on July 13th, 2010
Stover!… Not even the first 2 innings to see the best pitcher in all of baseball right now??… snort!…Not even that much?…. sniff!sniff!
11:39 am on July 13th, 2010
Heh!… Admin and Spencer have already seen him pitch!…heh!heh!…That was some fun!…snort!
11:39 am on July 13th, 2010
Melanie: Good grief! I'm so sorry you've caught that nasty bug.
12:16 pm on July 13th, 2010
The All Star game starts at 8PM. I suppose I could watch for a bit. Who is the pitcher I'm supposed to look for Rio?
12:29 pm on July 13th, 2010
Wooo! …..Stover is going to watch some baseball!…. snort!… You will want to watch for a tall guy by the name of Ubaldo Jimenez…. Grunt!… He is going to be pitching in the first 2 innings, so be sure to turn it on right at 8:00 tonight…heh!
12:32 pm on July 13th, 2010
Okay…but you know that this does not mean I'll become a fan.
12:49 pm on July 13th, 2010
Talking about wine, my Mom, who is a health nut, gets sent cases of wine from the muscadine grape from the Duplin Winery in North Carolina. The muscadine grape has the highest resveratrol of any grape.
http://ezinearticles.com/?Muscadine-Grapes—The-…
This grape only grows in the Southeast U.S. where it is hot and wet. The grape is subject to fungus and develops a lot of resveratrol to fight back.
Mom loves dry wines and this is not, but there's something about the Hatteras Red that she really goes for.
1:00 pm on July 13th, 2010
Thank you, Rose, for remembering Steinbrenner and Sheppard.
Mom is giving up Deadlest Catch tonight to watch the All Star Game with me. It will be mom and dog bonding time, and we are having pizza because mom is wiped out from helping a friend move this week. We can't wait to see Jimenez LIVE on our tv!
1:10 pm on July 13th, 2010
Rio – I will do like B. and watch the first 2 innings with Jimenez. We just lost our signal from Dish but we're assuming it will be back before 8 p.m. It had better. Grrr.
What are our precious Yankees going to do without their Fearless Leader? Sob.
1:23 pm on July 13th, 2010
Interesting article Mollypop.
Is the All Star game on at the same time for everyone?
2:20 pm on July 13th, 2010
Memories!…. Clowns to the left of me joker’s to the right. Here I am stuck in the middle with you!…snort!… We are watching Reservoir Dogs right now and one of our favorite songs is on… grunt!…But it is on during one of those scenes we do not watch…heh!…( I do but she doesn’t )…cough!
Stover!…Same time different time zones!…snort!snort!…I am so excited to see our young pitcher in the All-Star game in just a little over ½ hour… wooooo!
Opps!…Tim Roth just woke up again… snort!…Back to the movie! …heh!
2:21 pm on July 13th, 2010
Stover, It starts at 6 in the mountain time zone. If you are in the central time zone, it should start at 7 for you.
2:28 pm on July 13th, 2010
Mom and Dad don't drink wine, but they say they'll be happy to pick up some dandelion wine for everyone when they go through the Amana Colonies next month!
Oh, and the All-Star game is the one Mom and Dad can agree on. Go American League!
2:29 pm on July 13th, 2010
Stover, I just read what Rio wrote and I read what I wrote and now I think we are both confused. It will be on the Fox Network-check your local listings. Do not trust Rio and I tonight on this.
2:33 pm on July 13th, 2010
SiberH!… It’s a “Live” game so it has to be on at the same “time”… snort!…Different time zones. Know your zone and you know the time….grunt!… Starting at 8:00 Eastern Standard Time… sneeze!… Go from there my wine drinking friends!…heh!
2:35 pm on July 13th, 2010
I'm in the Eastern Time Zone and it's on at 8PM here….26 minutes from now.
I've had dandelion wine and it's very good even if it isn't red.
2:38 pm on July 13th, 2010
Time!…You got to love it!…snort!…What I am getting at is this. If it starts for me and SiberH at 6:00, it will be 7:00 for Stover, and 8:00 for all you other Easterners… heh!…Now for Wolfie it will be 5:00 when the game starts. …grunt!…But we will all be watching it at the same moment in time… heh! … Am I wrong? I think not.
2:40 pm on July 13th, 2010
Apologies!…Stover, I thought Michigan was Central time… snort!…You are up very late sometimes my dear!…heh!
2:42 pm on July 13th, 2010
You're not wrong, Rio, but I am glad Stover looked it up and didn't depend on us. I guessed wrong..that she was in the central time zone.
2:49 pm on July 13th, 2010
Chicago is in the central time zone.
Your time thing sounds like something from Fringe Rio.
2:53 pm on July 13th, 2010
Okay!…She is throwing our food in the oven right now!… snort!snort!… The neighbors crap was watered last night, so no stress there… grunt!… I’m in the best spot on the cough ready to go!…heh!…Does life get much better than this???… Does it?
3:08 pm on July 13th, 2010
Fringe!… You know what really sounds like something from Fringe?….snort! …The fact that the “Last of the Dixie Heroes” HAS STILL NOT SHOWN UP! …dammit!…grunt!… Its been 7 days since they said they were going to mail it out for the second time….Amazing.
3:09 pm on July 13th, 2010
I'm in!
3:13 pm on July 13th, 2010
Heh!…Everybody is booing the Red Sox players!…snort!
3:17 pm on July 13th, 2010
They shouldn't boo the players. Why is the game in Anaheim…or however it's spelled.
3:18 pm on July 13th, 2010
Number 38…
3:19 pm on July 13th, 2010
You all got me confused about this space-time continuum, but I've got the game on too!
How come there are 6 from the Red Sox and only 5 from the Yankees. That's no fair!
3:20 pm on July 13th, 2010
I'm watching – what a fun night this will be!
3:27 pm on July 13th, 2010
I agree. They shouldn't boo the players.
3:37 pm on July 13th, 2010
Booing!… I never boo players…snort!… I just curse Manny Ramirez…cough!…But he is not on tonight so no cursing or booing from me!… grunt!
3:57 pm on July 13th, 2010
Ubaldo!…. He is up next!…gasp!…We here cannot breath! We want him to be fabulous! …gasp!…We love this guy!
4:00 pm on July 13th, 2010
Fabulous? He almost killed my Jeter.
4:04 pm on July 13th, 2010
We love him, too, Rio. It would have been an accident, Molly.
4:04 pm on July 13th, 2010
Woooo!…. The inning is Saved by a Double play – no score!… heh!heh! …This is going to be good!…snort!…Molly, he has never actually killed anyone at bat…snicker!…Jeter beware!
4:06 pm on July 13th, 2010
Watching here in Chevy Chase. Great double play to get out of the first inning! We lost satellite during the pre-game due to a bad thunderstorm, but fortUnately got it back before the game started. Wookie
4:23 pm on July 13th, 2010
Whew!… Ubaldo did not let anyone score on his watch!… snort!…Now we can breath a little easier!… sigh…. Our Tulowitzki is there, but he is injured so he will not play short-stop tonight… sob!…He is so excellent, but he has been out of the game for a long time now…crumb!… Hey our guys are finally getting on base!…Woooo!
Wookie!…Glad you could make it after all!…snort!
4:31 pm on July 13th, 2010
Jeter!… The Marlins pitcher wants to kill him too!…heh!heh!…snort!
4:31 pm on July 13th, 2010
We were taking bets here to see when the game would actually start — too much pre-game folderol! The Big-A stadium in Anaheim is a great place. I have many fond memories of watching my beloved CALIFORNIA ANGELS there. (And you can leave Los Angeles out of it, thank you very much!)
4:37 pm on July 13th, 2010
T., I thought it was going to be my bedtime before someone actually threw a ball.
5:02 pm on July 13th, 2010
West Coast!…Welcome to my world!…snort!…All those damn West Coast games start late and end really late… grunt!… I thought when they said the “game” started at 6:00 they meant it – at least as a courtesy to the East Coast fans…But no!
5:03 pm on July 13th, 2010
A Detroit Tiger was pitching.
5:13 pm on July 13th, 2010
Sam: It would be nice if they would just come out and admit that they're having a one-hour pre-game show, with the first pitch at X o'clock!
5:18 pm on July 13th, 2010
Old Spice!… heh! Those commercials crack my friend up…snort!… I don’t get it at all…snuff! … The Nationals are at bat again!…COME ON! Get some runs! Dammit!…grunt!
5:27 pm on July 13th, 2010
Well, they didn't try to bean Jeter this time.
5:31 pm on July 13th, 2010
NY… I have a soft spot for the Yankees today, so I won’t say anything about that Jeter guy right now… snuff!
5:35 pm on July 13th, 2010
I must say, it feels strange to root for the Yankees — or anyone else in the American League!
5:36 pm on July 13th, 2010
Ugh!… A Red Sox batter is up…snort!… One of Admin’s friends most likely… grunt!
5:58 pm on July 13th, 2010
OMG!… The biggest hit for the National league in YEARS!…snort!… It is now 3-1 finally for the first time there is actually a glimmer of hope… heh!

6:04 pm on July 13th, 2010
B.Stover: Detroit did well. I got put off by the pre-game hoopla and am watching the game sporadically. All Star games are fairly long and boring.
6:11 pm on July 13th, 2010
Woo! Woo! Go National League. Wookie
6:12 pm on July 13th, 2010
Bob!…. My clapping Bob makes me wonder where my Lil Lexi pup is at….snorkel!… I hope she is okay and nothing has happened like all those bad things I always think of when she is missing….darnit!…. LEXI COME HOME!…peewee!

Wookie!…Look! Wookie is still up even with his big Paint O’Rama going on tomorrow!…Woooo!…And he is for us Wild Wild West guys!…heh!…Wookie, if you weren’t a guy I’d give you a big hug…heh!…. I may need to borrow your mustache for the big Roaring Twenties Murder Mystery Party coming up….snort!… I’ll let you know soon enough!…heh!
6:19 pm on July 13th, 2010
I got to see Jimenez pitch!! I think regular season games when you are rooting for your own team are much more exciting than the All Star Game. The pre-game nonsense was totally unnecessary and boring.
6:20 pm on July 13th, 2010
Boring unless your team is winning.
6:22 pm on July 13th, 2010
Wookie!…What is that book event in Vermont that you always plan to attend thinking Spencer will be there?….grunt!… It’s later in the fall isn’t it? …sniffle! … Please let me know what I think I am thinking about…heh! …back to the game! 8th inning.
6:25 pm on July 13th, 2010
Guys!… It's an "Event"…heh!…Never as good as one expects … But a nice break for the baseball players (or most of them) in the middle of the Long Hot Summer with Paul Newman…snort!heh!cough!
