Hard to say good morning with an article like that. Insensitive, unfeeling, getting down off soapbox now.
    Wonderful Wednesday, all.

We are not reading that. Judging by the name of the link, we won’t be watching those Olympics either.

Good idea Bee. Not an upbeat way to start the day. One statement that stood out to me: “What if a stray dog interrupted a program. It would be disgrace to the whole country.” Really?

Good Morning, and it’s going to stay that way because I’m not reading that article.
This is nothing new for that city. They just have an excuse now.

Animal activists wanted Sochi to build a rescue shelter, but evidently that has not been done.

Our Lady is foaming at the mouth. Something about a stray dog being a disgrace, but the loss of life considered not. Poodled up x 10 is the best way to describe how she feels right now.

She is a the airport, somewhat medicated and waiting to board. She packed her heating pad. She will be thinking of all youse this week.

I believe that each airplane should have a Tummy Class. Those people who have to leave their loved ones at home wild be able to enjoy the Airplane Dog and Kat, giving tummies, head bumps and receiving licks.

    Greetings!

Siber-H, I’m sorry we got separated, and now you are lost in Siber-space. sob

I refuse to read that article. I am poodled up about these Olympics being held in Russia for many reasons.

Dima, tummies to you. Prayers being sent, too.

RIO! You have been up top a lot lately!

Dawson, (whispering) I am not sure about Elim , Quig, and Twig, but my VBFF the sparkly Belle Starr shares a birthday with my brother on 2/7.

Melanie, my heart and thoughts are with you.

Pixie! What is this that you are traveling around with a bad back and giraffes? Why didn’t Savannah, or the Thieves sit on you??? Don’t make me come up there and bite your pant leg. I can you know, since I don’t have a job to got to….

Seen on facebookie: When the dog is goalie in a game of cat ball.
The cat is using a bit of dog kibble as a soccer ball. He pushes it into the family room where the dog is sleeping. He gives it another push and it grazes the dog’s nose, which he seems to be using as a goal. The dog opens one eye, yawns, stretches out his neck – and swallows the ball. Game over. Not sure how to score a game like this.

Diane, Melanie frequently causes Barb’s brain cells to kick into high gear trying to figure out what she is talking about. Finally Googled PTB since we missed Alice’s answer. We were thinking Public something-to-do-with-weather.

  39. dawson

Mike Ellis has scratched due to the well-being of his dogs. The one interview I saw with him he said all was well – he had dropped one dog due to cuts on his feet from the jagged icy trail but no other complaints at that time.
Two other mushers have scratched: Normand Casavant and Jean Denis Britten.
One musher Jerry Joinson, broke his sled but got a replacement and races on. He will have to serve an 8 hour penalty.
Top 3 places are Brent Sass, Allen Moore and Hugh Neff.

Melanie, We mentioned this once before, but at the deli you have to ask for white American cheese if you don’t want yellow dye in it. Our grocery deli has only 2 brands that are white. We never knew that American cheese was not naturally that color.

When Zoë went out to do the White Sale shopping, she brought me home a present! Of course, Mac and Mattie thought it was theirs.

Gluten free pancakes! I am having one tonight, and the rest will be frozen individually. They are big so Mac and Mattie will probably have a taste. 🙂

Snow starts here about midnight. Zoë has had a doctor office postpone her appointment. They know about driving down the Hills here.

Riö, I know YOU don’t want to talk about that game, but what happened in your friend’s office on Monday? Knashing of teeth or philosophical acceptance?

Cheese. Interesting thing cheese. Did you know some aren’t gluten free? BoarsHead always is, and our main grocery store deli does only gluten free meats and cheeses. I can’t remember the last time I had yellow cheese. Though I did have some American cheese, yellow, in the hospital. It tasted of childhood. snicker

Melanie!… I am told that yesterday was a very bad day at the Busy-Place, at least for my friend and the Hot-Shot anyways….sniffle!… They both felt incredibly bad. How could you not feel bad when your team plays great all season, they get to the Supper Bowl and then suddenly act like they forgot how to play the game….grump!…. The mood changed as the day progressed. I think everyone started out feeling very MAD. Then it turned into BEWILDERMENT…sniff!….Then all that was left was DEPRESSION…..grunt! …Today no one is even talking about the team. I am pretty certain my friend and I will not be wasting our Sunday afternoons watching the Broncos play ever again….grump! …Never. Ever….Nadda.

    From Mike Ellis on FB:
Hello all, and thank you for the well-wishes. I scratched in Circle yesterday out of concern for the good health of our dogs. Several dogs had injuries from rough trail that would have prevented them from comfortably continuing down the trail and numerous other dogs had picked up a viral infection that affected their health, attitude, appetite, and performance to the point we did not think they should continue to race, which left me with too few dogs to go on. I would like to thank the Quest Vet staff, specifically Dr. Pinto, for working with me in Circle to individually assess each dog and help provide us with the information to make the best choices we could with the circumstances. Honestly, this is a crushing blow to us and beyond disappointing. We are grateful for your support and sorry to let our awesome fans down.
