Snowhook
“Maybe we should remind people about Snowhook,” Spence says.
“Everybody knows about Snowhook!” Admin says.
“What about newcomers to the blog?” says Spence. “Or casualists?”
“Casualists?” Admin sighs. “Okay, okay. Snowhook is this great kennel up in Alaska that competes in sled dog races. It’s run by a wonderful and humane couple named AJ and Rebecca and chetthedog.com, the Plunderers and anyone else who wants to get involved are helping sponsor them in the Iditarod race in March. But right now they just finished up an early season race – “
“The Knik 200.”
” – that seems to have had a dramatic ending, with a big storm and AJ out of contact for some time. Good news – he and his team crossed the finished line safely, in 21st place, I believe, pretty damn good since he was running some yearlings to give them experience. Here’s a late night message from Rebecca.”
I just got off the phone with AJ. He said he is very proud of the team; they performed just as he as trained them. He said that snow fell and the winds blew causing him to break trail for much of the way. He finished about 6 hours ago and was unaware that his tracker hadn’t worked. He took the team home and was greeted by a half mile long driveway with a couple of feet of snow on it. He worked to clear it for about three hours so he could get the dog truck to the house. He went inside, grabbed his cell phone and called me. He is now heading back to the finish line to collect Handler Jeremy at the time who should finish shortly.

Congratulations Snowhook!! I believe that AJ finished 15th and Jeremy finished 21st. Love the photo.
Good morning all.

WAHHOOOO SNOWHOOK!!!!!!
9:30 am on January 9th, 2012
Good morning!
B Stover: You are correct that AJ finished in 15th place. Last night the tracker showed Jeremy in 21st place, but this morning the race standings show Handler Jeremy in 23rd place.
9:42 am on January 9th, 2012
My family and i followed the race all day until bed time. I had no idea it was going to be such a nail-biting experience. My groomer won’t have to trim my nails.
9:42 am on January 9th, 2012
As I said earlier this morning. Whew, Zoe and I can now breathe again!
I thought I was going to spend my morning reliving the last of the race . . . but fate has step in.
Zoe not feeling well (the type of flu she got lasts for about a month) so I’m off to do some errands.
Congratulations SNOWHOOK!

AJ!….So happy and relieved to learn AJ and Jeremy finished the race in good standing and are safe and sound now…whew!…What a weekend!
Over-Load!….I had excitement over-load yesterday and fell asleep on blog page 5 or 6 last night…snort!.. Nice to know that Bakers 50 per page fix has done the trick! ….wuffle!
Spencer!….Now the Broncos get to meet up with Spencer’s Patriots one more time…heh!heh!…How much fun is that to look forward to!…snort!
10:11 am on January 9th, 2012
Well I got up and took some breakfast and my pills and now it is time for a nap. This getting up in the middle of the night wears on a person.
And I had to go scatter some sunflower seeds for the nuthatches. They were very insistent.
Night all.

WOOOHOOOO Snowhook!
Great picture of AJ and the team!

Goodnight!…Staff!…snort!
10:39 am on January 9th, 2012
Iditarod!… I’m thinking we may need a Medevac at the ready while we are following AJ on the Iditarod trail…snort!… If this short race is any indication some of us are bound to keel over and need immediate medical attention…wheeze!….Alice owns one of those helicopters, doesn’t she??…sniff!

Stormy Kormer just announced on their web page that Jim Dehlin has been awarded the 2012 Living Legend award.
11:02 am on January 9th, 2012
Yeah, Mom just called to say she received the notification from Stormy Kromer. Bummer for AJ, but good for Jim Dehlin.
11:06 am on January 9th, 2012
Whew, I just got caught up on the blog. Congratulations to AJ and Jeremy and the dogs!! All of you did good!
Thanks goes to those of you that were our reporters.
That has to be a record number of posts yesterday.
How are we ever going to make it through the Iditarod? I can just see me going to the vet and asking for tranquilizers and trying to explain why.
I am not allowed to watch that football game, am I Rio?
11:08 am on January 9th, 2012
Voting is just a popularity contest. AJ IS a living legend!!!
Yea, Snowhook. Mom is impressed that anyone can finish these races. She had to go out in the 40 degree rain this morning and has been warming up ever since. Thank dog she still has a third of “The Help” to keep her company.
Perhaps we should declare a 2 hour siesta for all the race watchers!
11:10 am on January 9th, 2012
Siber-H, our Angie’s BF has a Siber. He says that dog digs holes all over the yard. Is he a Texas branch of your excavation firm?
11:19 am on January 9th, 2012
Staff, thanks for the puzzles. Mom did not set any records, finishing in 7:06 on the Snowhook one.
11:19 am on January 9th, 2012
Pop is incredulus that AJ ran that race, then drove home and managed to shovel all that snow!!!! And then went back for the rest of the team. Now, that is a Living Legend!
11:21 am on January 9th, 2012
Macy, you couldn’t have said it better. AJ is our hero.
Congratulations to AJ, Jeremy and the dogs for a job well done.
Yesterday we all got a small taste of the wonderful world of racing in the far north – an adventure we won’t soon forget.
11:21 am on January 9th, 2012
Oh, Most definately Miss Macy. He is in charge of our operations in Texas.
11:36 am on January 9th, 2012
Howlers: It is certainly beyond my realm of comprehension. AJ is a Giant indeed.
I can tell you it was a thrill to “watch” Jeremy reach the finish line around the stoke of midnight. Whole lota cheering going on…here, there and everywhere
We had our own team here: with Bear manning the facebookie page and moi keeping an eye on the stats.
Some of us are a little blurry eyed this morning due to the nite-owl activities, but it was worth every minute of the lost sleep. As if sleep were even possible.
Bella: I don’t know how you do it. Tip of the (Stormy Kromer) hat to you.
11:40 am on January 9th, 2012
AJ!…A Giant among mere mortals…snuffle!
11:43 am on January 9th, 2012
Congrats AJ, Jeremy and all the teams. Job well done! And we have a new record of posts on the blog. I bet we beat that one in March when we have the big race.
Hope Zoe feels better. We are having another warm day here in Illinois. Tomorrow it will be in the 50’s. Warmest day of the week.
Sorry AJ didn’t win at SK but he is a LL in our minds.
Have to get back to White Wings. Later
11:44 am on January 9th, 2012
Masquers: And, a tip of my old pink hat back to you. If you were in charge of the stats and BSD dogging facebookie, does that mean Nana was on cheesecake duty?
With the race and lack of sleep, I had forgotten that today was the day that the Living Legend would be announced. It means a lot to hear you say that AJ is still a Living Legend in your book. AJ is truly an amazing man.
11:48 am on January 9th, 2012
To run Iditarod, mushers have to complete two qualifying races beforehand. I think we could consider this past race as a qualifier for race watching? When I spoke with AJ last night, we decided that he’ll do another race at the end of this month—I think I better up my cheesecake budget.
12:12 pm on January 9th, 2012
Bella: Heh, heh. Now that you mention it, someone here may have had more than their share of that cheesecake during the nocturnal activities.
We here have a refrigerator magnet showing a fat kat looking into the fridge for a mid-nite snack. Looking for cheesecake, no doubt.
Another qualifying race coming up? We’ll need truckloads of it!
12:16 pm on January 9th, 2012
Tracker!….For the next qualifying race I sure hope he doesn’t get a bum rap on the tracking device…grunt!…Tell him that part is very important to his viewing audience….wuffle!
12:42 pm on January 9th, 2012
Trackers: It was bad not to have a tracker for a 2 day race, for the Iditarod, it would be torture. I would just have to curl up in a fetal position until it was over. What did they used to do “in the olden days” to get updates?
12:53 pm on January 9th, 2012
Dawson, One had to wait until the race officials got it up on the Standings board. They were slow because they didn’t want to make any mistakes.
Now, Way back in the days of Susan Butcher, one could call Anchorage (at your expense) and find out what was going on. Mom called more than once.
I don’t believe I have seen a tracker go down for as long as two days in the Iditarod.
When they first starrted testing the trackers in the race, Martin Buser (I think he was the one) was not happy with the new GPS Trackers so he put his on a plane that was flying dropped dogs back to Anchorage. The GPS Tracker flew off with the dogs. It was very funny.
12:54 pm on January 9th, 2012
Dawson: Old school updates were radioed in and then posted. Hours could pass between updates—there were times yesterday that I longed for this approach.
12:56 pm on January 9th, 2012
Siber-H: I thought about sharing the story of the flying tracker yesterday. Last year a couple of mushers’ trackers weren’t working, but I think the Iditarod caught them at the next checkpoint and gave them new trackers.
12:57 pm on January 9th, 2012
Did you see that Martin Buser had 6 teams in the Knik? Besides himself there was Rohn Buser, Michael Miller, James Volek, Dan Dent and Matthew Failer
1:05 pm on January 9th, 2012
How many dogs does Buser HAVE? Surely he did not enter the entire kennel. I am picturing retired guys, puppies, nursing mothers, all racing.
It took mom 97 minutes to work the puzzle with 240 pieces. Challenge issued.
1:07 pm on January 9th, 2012
Checkpoints!…I think during the Iditarod they will be making sure the trackers work….snort!…At least there will be checkpoints where he could get a new one if he gets a real crapper like this last time….grunt!
1:09 pm on January 9th, 2012
I agree, Rebecca, The Iditarod seems to fix the malfunctioning trackers as soon as possible.
For one thing, fans start screaming bloody murder on the message boards if a tracker is down.
1:16 pm on January 9th, 2012
Macy MinPin: I started the easiest one and when I had it 1/3 done I accidentally hit some button and screwed things up. Not taking the challenge.
I have to go on a training run of my own today. Too much sitting yesterday.
SiberH: I can’t imagine what Buser’s fans thought when they saw the tracker speeding toward Anchorage. Heh.
Snowhook Bella: Old school way would have at least given us some information every couple hours.
1:28 pm on January 9th, 2012
Dawson, The old school way was slower than that. It was torture.
1:28 pm on January 9th, 2012
For then next qualifying race, we may need to establish a phone tree, because Dawson’s fetal position plan sounds appealing here. We can visualize staying in that position until one of youse notifies us that all racers are well and accounted for..
1:32 pm on January 9th, 2012
Siber, in the old Susan Butcher days, we at least had Wide World of Sports. Remember that? We’re wondering if any of our hundreds of sports channels on DirectTV will show part of the Iditarod this year.
1:40 pm on January 9th, 2012
Fellow Sibers, I do remember Wide World of Sports.
I believe it was two (or three)years ago The Discovery Channel covered it. A year after that the Versus network did. Last year no one covered it. Everyone, starting with ABC, knuckled under to groups like PETA.
If anyone is going to cover it this year (I doubt it) it will be known on the Iditarod’s message boards.
1:59 pm on January 9th, 2012
Looks like it will be up to the Plunderers to cover the Big Race.
2:01 pm on January 9th, 2012
Mom remembers The Wide World of Sports. Boo on Peta. Sometimes they can be too extreme.
2:13 pm on January 9th, 2012
I have recovered from the excitement of last night. How are we going to do another race and then the Iditarod?
I skied, testing out my hip, and all went well. However, my motto seems to be “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing” and yep, I think I overdid it. I should be used to that by now. The skiing was hard to resist – 34 degrees, sunshine, no wind, and beautiful snow.
2:29 pm on January 9th, 2012
MollyPop’s Mom: Sure can’t blame you for overdoing the fun. Couldn’t ask for better weather than that!
Just saw an interesting looking wolf/hybrid at the top. One blue eye and one brown. Chet does have some fine looking Friends.
A reminder that this first full moon in January is called by some The Wolf Moon.
2:42 pm on January 9th, 2012
I remember WIde World of Sports with Jim McKay…”The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat.”
Rebecca: In AJ’s picture up top who is that doggie to the extreme left (as you look at the picture) with that big, long tongue waving, who looks like he/she is just having the greatest time?
2:49 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rio: In the excitement of AJ’s race, I didn’t want this to be overlooked:
http://www.timtebow.com/
I Tebow you!!!
2:50 pm on January 9th, 2012
One wonders if any PETA members have companion animals and, if so, what kind of non-life those animals endure.
2:58 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rose: That tongue belongs to my dear boy, Elim. He has the greatest time wherever he goes. Last year, during the race the dropped dog coordinator called and told me that we had a dog in the ER, but she didn’t know how or details. It was agony waiting for updates. I was told thaty they suspected samonilla poisoning. A few days later, I received a call that I could pick the dog up at the ER clinic. I drove to Anchorage wondering who and what I could find. It was Elim. When he saw me, even as weak as he was his tail wagged. Back and forth once and back again. I carried him to the car and took him home.
I hadn’t slept in almost 48 hours. After making a bed for Elim next to the fireplace, I lay on the couch and crashed. Hard. I woke up an hour later with Elim laying on top of me, his nose touching mine. At that point, I felt that he was going to be just fine.
Elim has a story all his own, that I’ve started for a book I’ve been keeping to myself. He was a born sled dog and is the son of my old stray Howard, who passed away last month.
2:58 pm on January 9th, 2012
Tebow!….Tim has his own website?…snort!…Imagine that! ….chuffle!
3:07 pm on January 9th, 2012
That was supposed to be Husky/Wolf Hybrid…..
Best thoughts for Staff at her appointment today and for Zoe to be feeling better soon.
Melanie: How are you feeling?
3:15 pm on January 9th, 2012
Hi Furry and Non-furry friends, back from errands. Totally exhausted. But NOT, I imagine, as exhausted as Bella!
Patsy went down the hill with me. She got a treat at the bank, she got yogurt at the store. She loves going for rides.
Still need to read the rest of last nights, but that might have to wait . . ZZZZZ
3:18 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rebecca: Elim looks like such a great dog. Maybe someday, I can venture up to Snowhook, and play with him. Through Elim, you will always have Howard in your heart. Write faster, I want to know all about him!!! 🙂
3:41 pm on January 9th, 2012
I like the Ben Williams quotation on Chet’s Facebook page.
3:45 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rose: Some may not agree with him, but Tebow is one who is doing what he believes in and enjoying himself in the process. I like the tune in the video.
The game yesterday was a One Step Beyond moment.
4:00 pm on January 9th, 2012
I was just having this discussion with my cubicle mate this morning. Tebow continues to do what he has always done in his career, take a quiet moment to acknowledge the great creator above. I find it surprising that this should offend anyone. I didn’t see the game, but my cubicle mate, Joe, said it was just fantastic. While I root for the Giants, I’m kind of hoping that the Broncos win the superbowl…it would be a wonderful Tebow moment, and just great for the sport.
4:00 pm on January 9th, 2012
I finally found on the internet that 80 yard pass Tebow threw to end and win the game. Wow!
I’m looking forward to the book about Elim.
4:01 pm on January 9th, 2012
Reading Dan’s book and he used the expression “toe the line”. I always thought it was “tow the line”, as in “AJ’s team really towed the line yesterday”. No, Dan is right, so I learned something today. Thanks, Dan the man!
4:02 pm on January 9th, 2012
Masquers, I love it when our pictures are next to each other.
Interesting trivia…Tebow threw for 316 yards yesterday. His favorite bible passage is Mathhew 3:16.
4:04 pm on January 9th, 2012
And yes, I should learnt to spell…That’s Matthew 3:16 (jeez)
4:43 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rose: And, you and Siber posted at the same time!
Strange how our iPaws fail to help with the spelling when we most need them, but insist on forcing their unwanted, and unrequested, assistance upon us at every opportunity.
5:03 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rose: When you come North to Alaska, I’m sure that Belle Starr will want to have you all to herself. She’s like that, you know?
5:06 pm on January 9th, 2012
Speaking of Tebow and the 316 yards. I just read that John 3:16 is the most popular Bible passage. Not something I knew off the top of my head!
5:13 pm on January 9th, 2012
Football!….I can’t wait for Saturday nights game!…snort!…It will be fun to see Denver up against Spencer’s team again…sniff!…The Patriots kicked the Broncos butt a few weeks ago. So I have a respectable fear of that New England team and their awesome quarterback…shudder!
5:19 pm on January 9th, 2012
Mollypop’s Mom: I’m glad you enjoyed the skiing and hope you feel better tomorrow.
5:21 pm on January 9th, 2012
Bible!…I’m hoping Tebow will not revert back to throwing Genesis 1:1 in the next game….heh!
5:39 pm on January 9th, 2012
I just read that singer Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay-Z spent 1.3 mil over the weekend for a luxury suite at the hospital to give birth to her little girl, Blue Ivy Carter. They had so much security that other parents had trouble getting to see their own babies. What is wrong with these celebrities and the way they spend money?
5:41 pm on January 9th, 2012
Good One, Rio
5:46 pm on January 9th, 2012
Barb&Magpie: Nana says she is familiar with that expression, which eans to conform to a rule. In the military solders standing for inspection were told to Toe the Line.
Who was it that suggested White Wings would make a great mini series – Melanie? We think so too.
6:05 pm on January 9th, 2012
Back from running many errands. We picked up some free calendars in town. Was in the Drug store and checked out Marjolens’ day planner. They had a big one, then a 8-1/2 by 11 one. Another one half that size (5×7)? and several small 2 year planners. All beautiful.
Tomorrow we see the doc and then I get to go quilting in the afternoon.
The bad news here is that the lilac buds have turned green and are starting to swell just slightly. I wonder if we will have any flowers in the spring? Does anyone know?
6:16 pm on January 9th, 2012
Masquers: You are correct. It is nice being next to you Siber-H and having you all to myself!!! 🙂
B&M: I agree with you. That is completely ridiculous! Beyonce had a healthy baby, and that’s lovely. But not all the inconvenience they put the other patients, parents, and hospital staff through. Trivia note: I was born in the same hospital!
OHs: Will you all be howling at the moon tonight. Will Kat be joining in?
SiberH: Will you be holwling tonight
Rebecca: I look forward to being Belle’s puppy, I mean constant companion. I’ll have to wear special bling for that visit!
6:19 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rio: Does Beau have a favorite sports team? Has he been taking pugness lessons from you?
6:28 pm on January 9th, 2012
Bear, You are right. We read that it might have started with sh**-less sailors who lined up on deck with toes on the line. We almost wrote out that bad word!

Barb and MagPie, Mom was too tired to make the poppyseed dressing for the strawberry and red onion salad so she bought Marie’s poppy seed dressing and everybody liked it. (Honestly, I don’t know what she does all day at that place she calls ‘work.’)
7:16 pm on January 9th, 2012
Rose, yes, We will see the moon rising and the moon setting.
Thanks, Bear, for teaching me today that it is called The Wolf Moon. That makes it the most important moon of all to howl with joy at.
7:22 pm on January 9th, 2012
Sam, Thanks we have used some Marie’s dressings before and they are close to homemade.
Rose, That is interesting that you were born in the same hospital.
Staff, The MJ planner came in the mail today. The one Barb HAD to have is called an engagement planner, has red and pink winter flowers on the front, and a white spiral edge. It is really pretty. They have so many beautiful uplifting drawings and descriptions of animals and plants inside, all done by Bastin. I think it is the 6 1/2 x 11 size.
7:33 pm on January 9th, 2012
The Wolf Moon is beautiful tonight. I don’t have my glasses on and it looks huge. Hold on . . . High thin clouds over the moon are creating a mist. Excellent.
After my (cough, cough) late night last night I’m headed up to bed. Take care!
7:38 pm on January 9th, 2012
Thanks for the link, Staff. I googled the Kucinich 300 that is mentioned in that article. I have heard of this one. I wonder if it is the one AJ is considering entering.
They have live tracking!
7:49 pm on January 9th, 2012
SiberH: Heh! The Kucinich 300. That makes me giggle. I think you mean Kuskokwim 300.
7:50 pm on January 9th, 2012
SiberH: We are planning on running the Don Bowers Memorial race. It starts in Willow which will be a logistics heaven compared to other races.
Mollypops mom: I hope you’re spending quality time with the heating pad if needed.
7:57 pm on January 9th, 2012
I’m laughing too, Dawson. I don’t know where I got that.
Yes, Rebecca, A start in Willow sounds great for you guys.
8:02 pm on January 9th, 2012
So far we have Plan Gah that we implemented last night. Yet, it sounds like we need a contingency plan for a fetal position emergency. Oh, and we need an extra helping of a sense of humor and friendship; I think we can check that off our list.
8:12 pm on January 9th, 2012
Race!….How long is that there Memorial Race?…sniff!…Do they have Trackers that actually work?…grumble!
8:15 pm on January 9th, 2012
Dawson!… My friend says she got your card (wink wink nod nod) tonight….snort!… She says you are a very funny gal and you were correct about the postal time-line. I have no idea why she would say that….wuffle!
8:20 pm on January 9th, 2012
Staff: Thank you for the link.
Enjoy your quilting after the good checkup at your doctor’s appointment tomorrow.
Bella: When is the Don Bowers Memorial Race and will Jeremy be running in this one also? Is it longer or the same distance as the Knik 200?
8:37 pm on January 9th, 2012
The race starts on the 27th of this month. There are different races: a 100, a 200 and a 300. I belive AJ is going for the 200 or the 300. Last year they had to shorten the race route to 120 miles becasue of treacherous trail conditions—if you call the river trying to swallow a snowmachine that was marking the trail in one gulp. 😉 They haven’t had a live tracker in the past.
http://www.donbowersmemorialrace.org/
Rose: Belle Starr’s puppy! You have no idea how much she would like to have a pet of her very own.
8:47 pm on January 9th, 2012
We just finished dinner and went outside to look for the Wolf Moon. Unfortunately, we have nothing but clouds up there 🙁
We howled anyway. Bear, we never knew this was called the Wolf Moon. When we googled it, we came across many images that are similar to our Howling Arabians farm sign…minus the Arab of course. This moon was so named by Native Americans because they heard wolves howling outside their villages. We now like January’s full moon better than our previous favorite Harvest Moon in September.
8:53 pm on January 9th, 2012
The River! Yikes! This is what Rio was talking about on Saturday. With no live tracker?
Siber is right. We are all going to need tranquilizers!
9:01 pm on January 9th, 2012
Ahem – excuse us for just a minute, but we have a small announcement to make.
As of Feb.1, Mama will no longer be reporting to, or reporting on CLL.
The family decided that it was more important for Mama to have clay under her fingernails than have the CL under her skin.
Of course when Mama gave her letter to the CL and told her about it, the CL explained that she just can’t let Mama go – that Mama has to keep working until the CL hires someone else to work since the CL has to be away for 3 days a week to babysit her %^&#*& grandkid.
sigh!
But there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
And now back to our regularly scheduled blog….
9:13 pm on January 9th, 2012
T&G! That is awesome news! We wish our mom could do something happy instead of her lame indoor job. You will enjoy your new, relaxed mama.
Staff, thanks for the puzzles. We did the Snowhook one. It was great fun, but we think maybe it took us longer than anyone. But that’s because Kat kept moving our puzzle pieces.
9:16 pm on January 9th, 2012
I’m heading off to bed and dragging the Howlers with me. They kept me awake most of the night checking their iPad for word of AJ and Jeremy.
9:20 pm on January 9th, 2012
T&G WOO WOO That is fantastic news!!
There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it isn’t far off.
9:22 pm on January 9th, 2012
Royals: That is VERY good news! Even if she has to wait a while your mum will soon be free to Create to her hearts desire. It is nice to know one is so invaluable to one’s employer they cannot bear to let her go.
The Moon calls me to join my friends. I shall return on the morrow – Bear
9:26 pm on January 9th, 2012
Stinky Mama! That is great news! Nay, it is fantastic news. I am twirling with glee for you.
Dawson: You mentioned looking a Snowhook calendar last night. Did you get the new one in the mail, yet?
9:27 pm on January 9th, 2012
Trick!….That Crazy Lady is never going to get around to hiring anyone else…grunt!…Mark my words. She will fiddle faddle around till that &(*%$$% grandkid is in college…heh!…Stinky Mama is doomed to work at that place forever or 18 years, whichever comes first….gruffle!…Nice try Golinka!

T&G: That is very good news. I don’t think you should work any longer for CL no matter what her reasons are for your staying. Start on your beautiful clay pieces.

Rio and Bee – Trust us – Mama isn’t falling for the CL’s ways. she has told her in no uncertain terms that the last day of January is her last day in CL. This is part of the problem with the CL – she procrastinates on everything until the absolute last possible minute, and then makes everyone else responsible for the ensuing chaos.
Tonight, after trying very hard to explain everything in little words so CL would understand, Mama finally told her point blank that she can’t stand the chaos that CL carries with her like a purse. And the CL says that yes, she does like chaos – that it is what keeps her going.
After that comment, Mama knew for sure that she had to GET OUT! As she told the CL – “YOUR lack of planning does not constitute MY emergency.”

Dear T and G. YES! Remain firm. She will attempt to guilt you into staying. You will not. It is going to be fun hearing your stories as she tries to suck you back in.
Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, (you) are free at last!”

Staff – you are making us laugh. We won’t take Rio’s saying that we never laugh, but that was really funny.
Mama ALMOST feels sorry to leave there – she says that if she ever wanted a career as a standup comic, the CL would have given her YEARS of material.
Note we said almost sorry to leave. Trust us – she will get over it. Give her a lump of clay and Mama gets lost in that and forgets everything else.
Right now, she is marking off days on her Corgi Puppies calendar.
13 working days and counting….

T and G, I think your mama should put her resignation in writing. Just in case CL tries to rope you in at the last minute.
