Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Snoopy
“They busted Snoop Dogg for weed at the same spot they nailed Willie Nelson?” Admin says. “Am I getting this right?”
“Yes,” says Spence. “A drug-sniffing dog, unnamed in the story, fingered, as it were, Snoop Dogg.”
“A dog got Dogg?”
“Precisely.”
“Do you think the Snoop part has anything to do with Snoopy from Peanuts?”
“Hard to say – it’s a big culture.”

Well, you can’t really say it’s profiling unless they are profiling large buses full of musicians. Which could well be true!
Good Morning All! Supposed to be sort of nice today and then a storm coming up from the south.
I heard from Liz F. She has received her picture from Spence and her magnet I love it! it’s nestled in a central position on the fridge door and it brings me a smile every day.
Anyone heard from KirbyT yet?
Staff, hope all went well.
Bella, glad your home safe.
Riö, will Beau get his own Rockies’ hat?
9:20 am on January 11th, 2012
Good morning, Melanie, Chet, Spencer, Admin, and everybody,
Mom just got back from her cholesterol screening. You’ll love this…she brought donuts back with her! She says it’s like how you can screw off at work after you do your time sheet. heh heh
Bee, thanks for posting the pictures of Brandy. He was a gorgeous member of the Nation. We could feel your pain of missing him just by seeing his picture.
C.Harris, we really were amazed by that glacier. We never actually saw one. Now we really really want to come up north.
9:24 am on January 11th, 2012
Hmmm Sibers on a glacier. Trying to picture that. I mean I can picture it, but it’s sort of scary . . .
From IMDb “Snoop Dogg got his name from his mother who jokingly remarked that he looked like the Peanuts character Snoopy.”
10:00 am on January 11th, 2012
Snoopy!….Ah ha!…sniff!…So there is a connection between Snoop Dogg and Snoopy albeit a very thin one…wuffle!….Snoopy is my hero, Snoop not so much…snort!
Rebecca!….Yippee! She did make it home late last night our time…snort!….I keep hearing about all the snow that Alaska is getting. I sure hope all those guys up North are stocked up on food and wood….wuffle!
10:02 am on January 11th, 2012
I don’t really know who Snoop Dogg is but probably don’t want to know.
Good morning all.
10:09 am on January 11th, 2012
Not sure if this will work.
10:10 am on January 11th, 2012
We have 2 emails each with really good videos attached. We want to attach those but we don’t know how. They are .wmv files not links.
10:27 am on January 11th, 2012
My numbers are great, my health is good and I don’t have to see the doctor again until the 30th of April. Still have to get poked every 2 months, but I can remember when it was every 2 days so this is NUTHIN!
Staff, strutting around with her shoulders back and her tummy sticking out in a very pouffy (fierce) way.
😀
10:29 am on January 11th, 2012
I put Brandy’s picture on FOC and the one of him running on Chet’s Facebook page.
10:30 am on January 11th, 2012
Snoop Dogg doesn’t seem like a bad sort from what we know of him. For a rapper, he seems pert-nir straight up. Think he is a good parent to his kids.
Heading off to the library soon to order the Andy Carpenter book.
Taking back Water’s Edge by R. Whitlow. Will not be reading anymore of his books. Not our taste.
10:31 am on January 11th, 2012
Excellent news Staff.
10:38 am on January 11th, 2012
Yea, Staff. That is excellent news!
We just read that there is a new movie coming out this spring with Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline. Story line is a woman loves her dog more than her husband, then he loses the dog. Doggy star is an English Shepherd, or an ESy type. Ears stick up, which is unusual for one of my kind, but otherwise he looks like an ES. We are seeing more ES in commercials and movies, which isn’t always a good thing. People always run out and get “one of those”. We are not always a good choice for an inactive household or first time dog person.
10:48 am on January 11th, 2012
Yippee for Staff !!!!! Great news! Good Job!
That sounds like a good movie, Maggie. But we agree that it is usually bad for a dog breed when one of them is in a popular movie.
We saw George Lucus on The Daily Show, to promote his new movie which sounds really good! Red Tails

Morning everyone. It’s Wednesday which means that both Mama and Dad have the day off. And will they spend it with US??? No! They insist on doing things like grocery shopping and banking and errands and that kind of stuff. We don’t really get it. All WE bank on is getting our groceries fed to us twice daily, on schedule if you please, and our only “errands” have to do with going out in the back yard for unmentionable but necessary tasks.
Hey Rio – you better get your friend to run, not walk, but RUN to the grocery store and stock up on Zingers. Hostess just filed for bankruptcy. Oh No!!!
11:15 am on January 11th, 2012
Jeez Louise, the furnace pipes are leaking water.
(confused look on my fact)
The furnace that is leaking is a gas furnace.
Zoe made the mistake of calling Dan. He’s been calling us with “suggestions”.
(rolling eyes)
I finally told him that we were just going to take the repair man’s word on what was going on. They will be here in about an hour.
Dan said he’d stop calling. Hmmm, I wonder what my tone of voice was at that point?
11:18 am on January 11th, 2012
T&G Be Patient…It would be that much longer before your mum will have more time to spend with you.
Oh no, Hostess makes Zingers? Mom likes their chocolate cupckes, but doesn’t know what Zingers are.
Stover, Brandy is very handsome and we know you miss him. Mom misses every one of her dogs.
Howlers, Mom wants to see Red Tails. She watched the trailer on the internet.
11:28 am on January 11th, 2012
I don’t think Willie Nelson ever got in much trouble over pot. Income taxes are another story.
Staff, Glad that all went well.
C.Harris, Thanks for the glacier photo. I wanna be there.
Melanie, Let us know when you find out why the furnace pipes are leaking water. Mom is curious. We have a gas furnace. I would be prefectly happy if it broke down.
11:37 am on January 11th, 2012
Staff – (speaking cheerfully) Thank you for the jigsaw puzzles. (speaking sarcastically) Thank you for the jigsaw puzzles – that I can’t stop doing!
11:38 am on January 11th, 2012
SH: You’re making me laugh. I was wondering where you were.
11:40 am on January 11th, 2012
Where are the jigsaw puzzles??
It really surprises me that Hostess is in bankruptcy.
11:45 am on January 11th, 2012
We love Willie and Snoopy.
SnowBella, our wandering member of the Pack has reached the safety of home!
Staff: Good news for you, as we knew it would be.
O.Howlers: We noticed right away that one of our favorite actors, Bryan Cranston, is in the upcoming Redtails.
Melanie: The furnance…not a good thing to go “bad”.
12:07 pm on January 11th, 2012
Barb is back home. She did all those same errands as T & G’s mom and dad. She also went to the li-berry and ordered that Andy Carpenter book. They don’t have any of the series, so by the time we get it in, she will have finished White Wings and sent it on the G & B.
Melanie, get that furnace fixed before the storm! We are supposed to get it tonight. We are right on the border between the 1-3″ and the 3’6″ of SNOW. Son Josh is excited to be able to go out plowing. His 32nd b-day is coming up on the 27th.
12:19 pm on January 11th, 2012
Good morning…er…afternoon. I slept in again. Tomorrow the alarm clock will rudely wake me up.
Staff: I have seen that tummy and it is fierce! Congratulations on your numbers.
Melanie: Oh oh.
Snoop Dogg: Oh oh.
12:24 pm on January 11th, 2012
B., don’t find the jigsaw puzzles. They’re dangerous and now Aunt Mollysmom will have to go into a 12-step program.
12:45 pm on January 11th, 2012
Poor MollyPop’s Mom . . . Now I’m afraid to find them.
Staff! Congrats on your health and your strutting.
Okay the home alert system is down to green, I say green.
The guy came, looked and reached up and closed a drainage valve on the water pipe above the gas pipes.
It had vibrated loose. So we’ve got another 3 years before that happens again! That is when they put in the furnace.
Sam, get help for your aunt.
Good Mafternin, Dawson.
1:06 pm on January 11th, 2012
Glad it was an easy fix, Melanie.
1:15 pm on January 11th, 2012
Melanie: Call Dan and tell him about the heater!
1:18 pm on January 11th, 2012
But Sam, I like jigsaw puzzles.
1:34 pm on January 11th, 2012
Dawgg!…My friend just sold some of her quilling to a real live Shop Owner…heh!….She’s twirling, she’s twirling!!…snort!
snort!… Now she just needs to make a deal with the Marauding Goats so they actually show up at his shop as promised…chorkel!
Staff!….That my dear is excellent news!….snuffle!….This year is starting out good for you, so keep it that way okay!…grunt!
1:44 pm on January 11th, 2012
Twirling and twirling here for The Pug’s friend!!!
Can’t call The Man until he’s out of PT.
1:44 pm on January 11th, 2012
Rio, It doesn’t surprise me at all that she sold some of her quilling to a shop. We are twirling for her!!
Why do you want the MGS to show up at the shop? Do you need us Sibers to come stand guard over the quilling in the shop?
1:46 pm on January 11th, 2012
Dawson: Yes, 6 am is a rude awakening after the midnight shut-eye. Not that I got up at that time, which is normally when I get up, but didn’t because…oh, never mind.
Bella: Missed you by twenty. It was getting so late and the show was over. We started to think maybe the same thing was happening as when we were watching for AJ the other night and here he was already at home. How was the drive from Anchorage?
Rio: The Firm pilot was excellent! Good acting and storyline. Another show to look forward to in the weeks to come. It’s fun to see Juliette Lewis as part of the cast. The secretary is a little ditsy, but isn’t this the same character that Holly Hunter played in the movie? Maybe not…can’t remember.
1:49 pm on January 11th, 2012
Excellent news Rio! I have the same question as Siber re the MGs.
1:51 pm on January 11th, 2012
We are glad we recorded The Firm after hearing the good reviews here on the blog. We’ll be watching it one of these nights.
Rio, wonderful news for your friend. And to think…we can say we had those first! Did we ever tell you that we ended up not able to part with our beautiful quilled cards. We hung them on our little tree that stands inside our door. We didn’t have anything else on that little tree except lights, and a cardinal on the tip-top. They looked beautiful.
2:01 pm on January 11th, 2012
Rio. I see that others beat me to the punch about the Hostess bankruptcy filing. This has the makings of a real disaster, with me on the cupcake diet and everything.
Staff. Great news. Keep up the good work.
I’m with SiberH on this heat thing. Don’t understand why we need it at all. I would just take it it out altogether if I had my way. But then again, a double fur coat does affect how one views the world.
Wookie
2:10 pm on January 11th, 2012
WHAT!?… What’s this about Hostess going out of business?….gasp!… I didn’t see that comment, my vision must be blurred because of all the twirling going on around here….grunt!… The Hostess with The Mostess is going under? Tell me it isn’t so…sob!sob!sob!…. Zingers! What will become of my Zinger cawfee break?…sob!sob!sob!….And poor Wookie will have to work around this catastrophe for his special diet….weep!gnashing!weep!
2:12 pm on January 11th, 2012
SiberH!….To clarify my earlier statement regarding the Marauding Goats….sniff!…It should have read, “Now she just needs to make a deal with the Marauding Goats so the little magnets actually show up at his shop as promised…grunt!…My bad!
2:19 pm on January 11th, 2012
Magnets!…Now I need to explain the “Magnets”….heh!… Instead of Little Quilled Gift Cards that no one wants to give away, she made Little Quilled Fridge Magnets….sniff!….They don’t actually have to go on your fridge, but that’s where we keep all our decorative magnets…wuffle!
2:20 pm on January 11th, 2012
For Rio:
2:23 pm on January 11th, 2012
Snort!….Jasper finds the best pug-pictures…heh!snort!..I can definitely imagine Beau in that get-up robbing a liquor store…sniff!
2:32 pm on January 11th, 2012
Wookie and Siber, we agree about the overuse of furnaces. But get this: goofball Kat lays in front of the woodstove or fireplace when she comes inside. We are thinking she isn’t really one of us, but Mom says give her time.
Speaking of the pipsqueak, Mom needs to find her a collar for her invisible fence box like the ones we have. Her collar is one of those quick-connect kind and now that her fur is getting to resemble husky fur, those clips are very hard to close without getting her hair in the way. The problem is that her neck is only ~14 inches, and we can’t find any of those plastic-coated nylon collars that small … at least not the 1-inch kind.
2:37 pm on January 11th, 2012
Rio, can we place orders now?
2:46 pm on January 11th, 2012
Maskers!…I don’t take orders from no one!…snuff!
3:01 pm on January 11th, 2012
BStover, just for you…(and sorry Mollypop’s Mom)
http://www.jigzone.com/gallery/07250D4146.9F485F8?z=0
Rio’s friend WhooHooo for you! We are impressed!
Dawson and Rebecca, The carharts are on their way. Parcel Post as I am cheap. Shelia (our postmistress until they close the PO) says she used 34 stamps. 29 different 44 cent-ers and 5 different other ones. Hope that is enough for you Dawson….:-)
I would like to be the last person on the White Wings list. Then when you are all done shipping it around it can come to Minnesota and wait for Dawson there. OK?
And I was wondering if anyone would like to read the first of the Mary Lasswell books about Miss Tinkham, Mrs. Feeley and Mrs. Rasmussen. It is called Suds in Your Eye. I have a copy I am willing to send around.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Lasswell
Uh oh. I put in two links. I wonder if it will be moderated?

Rio. No need to panic just yet, but vigilance may be in order. The Hostess filing is under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, which means that the company is looking to “reorganize” by reducing its debts but then emerging from the bankruptcy porceeding as a viable company (kind of like GM and Chrysler and most of the airlines, to name a few prominent examples). If that is the case, your zinger supply should still be safe. Of course, if things go awry in Chapter 11, it can be converted into a Chapter 7 bankruptcy porceeding, which means that the company and all its assets will be liquidated and the company completely disappears (like what happened to Borders, for example). Hopefully that will not happen here, although if it does, they may at least have a going-out-of-business sale on zingers, so there might be the possibility of stocking up.
Wookie
3:28 pm on January 11th, 2012
Staff: We would be interested in reading Suds in Your Eye. The Rasmussen name is very familiar. Nana says this very large family practically owned the town where she grew up.
Melanie: A Simple Solution is Always the Best. Good to hear the furnace problem was one of those.
Rio: Sorry to hear of the upcoming Zinger bankruptcy. What will you do.
There is another show premiering Monday, the 16th of January on Fox that looks like it might be good. Alcatraz is a supernatural thriller starring Sam Neill and Jorge Garcia.
3:31 pm on January 11th, 2012
The Zingers supply – safe for now – whew!
3:40 pm on January 11th, 2012
STAFF!…I want to read that book!…ME!ME!…Send it to me!…snort!
3:47 pm on January 11th, 2012
Don’t Zingers have a shelf life of 23 years? Stock up!
3:50 pm on January 11th, 2012
Zingers!….heh!snort!heh!…All is not lost, at least not right now…heh!

Trying again: Face of a sled dog.
4:02 pm on January 11th, 2012
Staff: Thank you. The site says Nancy’s puzzles. Is that you? The one with all of the quilts looks challenging!
That is great about your friend selling quilling projects to a store Rio.
I feel as though I’m getting the flu.
4:02 pm on January 11th, 2012
Helping out with trying to figure out a Bridal Shower. Hmmm. They sure are expensive now. Can’t be in a home (too many people) so we’re trying to think of something that would be nice.
Anyone have any different ideas where a bridal shower can be held?
(And Riö, I already suggested a male dance club and it was voted down!)
4:02 pm on January 11th, 2012
If Zingers are like Twinkies, you are probably right MPM!
Barb just stopped at the real estate office and lowered the house price by another $5,000. If if goes much lower, she is going to take her son up on the offer to move into his Lower Level (i.e. basement).
4:05 pm on January 11th, 2012
I can’t get this to go through so try this – there is puzzle of a sled dog in the previous section for 2011-12-30
4:55 pm on January 11th, 2012
Dear BStover. I just made the 4 puzzles that the link shows first. After that they all belong to the site. I have been thinking about making puzzles since someone on the blog said my fall leaf picture would make a good puzzle. JigZone makes it easy but you can’t use a photo over 20KB and believe me that is small!
4:57 pm on January 11th, 2012
Mollypop’s Mom, Let’s see if I can put up a link, and if I chose the right puzzle…

Cool, Staff.
5:20 pm on January 11th, 2012
Thanks, Staff. We would have been embarrassed if we couldn’t do that one !
5:36 pm on January 11th, 2012
Puzzles!…Hey, these puzzles will help us during those race times when AJ is not moving or his tracker is not working…grunt! sniff!
5:50 pm on January 11th, 2012
The Puzzle…What a pretty Siber. (looks like a girl)
They shouldn’t offer the Auto Solve option to people like my mom. I could have done that puzzle!
5:57 pm on January 11th, 2012
Rio: Twirl. Sway. Repeat. That is great news! I hope your friend never sells her talent short again.
Speaking of puzzles: I ordered some Snowhook puzzles for Bev for a present ns they didn’t arrive before I left to go to the lower 48. Guess what arrived today? Damn goats…
Last night my plane landed in high winds and the highway was closed, but AJ was able to make it into town to get me. It is so good to be home. Our snow isn’t anything compared to other areas getting hammered by snow, but their is a warning in effect today and tomorrow for our area. They are predicting anywhere from 8-24 inches of the white stuff.
5:58 pm on January 11th, 2012
Auto Solve? I missed that. I just did that puzzle in only a little bit more than double the average time. I am not good at puzzles.
6:00 pm on January 11th, 2012
MollyPop’s Mom & Staff: Thanks a lot for that puzzle link guys! Now I’m hooked too.
6:02 pm on January 11th, 2012
The shelf life of some products is scary long. Makes you wonder what the heck you’re eating anyway.
6:03 pm on January 11th, 2012
Cringe! I just saw that I used their when there was supposed to be there. Ugh. I think I need sleep.
Staff: This is a day of good news between your health and Rio’s quilling success.
Dawson: Thanks for the carharts. I don’t think the MGs teeth will be able to make a dent in them.
I may or may not have brought Wolfie’s toffee for lunch today. Delish!
6:22 pm on January 11th, 2012
Hey Bear – Blame Staff, not me.
6:47 pm on January 11th, 2012
No word yet from KirbyT.

Blame? BLAME? Huh. After all I do for you. (snicker) Must go cook food now. BBL
So far I have Bear Spirit (first) and Rio (second) on the Suds in Your Eye book.
7:44 pm on January 11th, 2012
Dawson, I’m glad to hear that you have completely described my time on the puzzle too. 🙂
YSAS rode his bike for 8 hours today. The same path everything they said action. Then the last scene the director says go this way and then stay down there.
This way ended up going between the guy holding the boom microphone and the guy holding the reflector right next to the principles! Unfortunately, not everyone got the message and a grip came popping out right in YSAS’s way and they tried not to collide. They didn’t but YSAS did things on that bike he didn’t know he could do! He managed to stay up right, miss the principles, the two expensive cameras, the boom and the reflector guy!
The director asked him how he stayed up right. YSAS said he didn’t know! Then he got to go home. He doesn’t know if he’ll be in that shot, but he’s in some of it.
Tomorrow the audition!
8:07 pm on January 11th, 2012
Okay, no one around. sigh.
I’m headed to bed. It’s beginning to snow. Maybe 2 inches tonight, sleet, ice rain and snow tomorrow.
I made gluten free brownies for YSAS’s old school drama group. Now I just have to figure out how to get time to get it to them.

Bella – welcome home, Toffee Breath
Staff – we are not going to look at puzzles and you can’t make us

Melanie – Lesson #1 – when there is water leaking, check the spigots and valves first. giggle….
8:54 pm on January 11th, 2012
B: We agree. That must have been some shot with YSAS trying to stay upright on that bike while manuvering around everyone and everything.
Melanie; Do you know which show he will be auditioning for tomorrow?

Have to go watch Harry’s Law. May BBL.
Night, Malanie.

Herbkats: You would love the Husky puzzle. On second thought maybe not so much. I’m sure Alice or Abbie could convince Staff to put up a kat puzzle.
We will be joining MollysMom in the 12-step program soon.
Turning in here. Lots to do tomorrow – Bear

10:05 pm on January 11th, 2012
Herbs and Rio: Burp!
The special popcorn that Bev made for her favorite red-bearded giant made it to him safely (mainly because she made a batch for me for my Christmas present—otherwise all bets were off). I believe he made of had a bite or two for breakfast.
I move that YSAS adds stunt driver to his resume.

Alone!….Well boogers…sniff!… I’m all alone out here tonight. Even Beau stayed upstairs tonight. …grunt!…He’s cold and its colder downstairs than it is upstairs. That’s why my friend likes it. Her mother keeps the house way too warm for her liking, so downstairs is the place to be…chuffle! ….Now I feel like I am talking to myself. This is not cool, although as I said before, it is cooler down here than upstairs…sniff!

Rio:
Tell your friend congrats for her artistic success. I’d like to stay up but my soft bed with a heating pad in it is calling my name. Good night.

One!…Sale to One shop does not constitute Artistic Success…heh!heh!…But she will get a good chuckle out of that anyways…snort! …. Well, we here are off to bed too because it really has been an exciting day, even taking into account the depressing and sad Hostess news….snuffle! …and Goodnight!

Damn the time difference! I just stopped on my way home from work and the good nights are being said.
AJ and Tenzing picked me up at the airport and that was the first of many loves given last night. I dare say Junior ate better than AJ. The giant lost a lot of weight. Do you think Shia strict diet of Christmas candy had anything to do with it?

Oh golly everyone is going to bed early tonight. I am still up for a little while. I think AJ lost weight because he didn’t eat enough during the race. Good thing he has that yummy popcorn for a snack. Feed him up Rebecca. Give him some salmon and cheese.

Oh and spinach too. Heh. That’s what Mom (Maggie) used to eat when she was too skinny. Well, she didn’t have salmon she had fish sticks. But we know that you might have some salmon there for some hard working dogs so…..
Well I will go get ready for bed now. Tomorrow is a travel day again and the temp is going to be near zero with a wind chill around minus 25. We won’t know what to do. It hasn’t been that cold for about a year.
Night all.

Watch red tails 2012…
[…]Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to understand so much about this, such as you wrote the book in it or something. I feel that you can do with some p.c. to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A great read…
