Sneak Peek Decision
“Time for a sneak peek?” says Admin.
“Why not?” Spence says. “No law against it. What’s it going to be – A Fistful of Collars, the next Chet and Bernie novel, coming in September, or A Cat Was Involved, the e-story prequel coming in August?”
“Hmm. Hadn’t thought about it. I’ll go for a walk, consider the question from all possible viewpoints.”
“See you tomorrow.”
Welcome Bauer.

Good morning all. A sneek peek would be nice.
7:52 am on June 14th, 2012
We will take either one. How can we see the e-story if we don’t have a nook or a kindle? Will it be available to all of us?
Good morning Steve and all.
7:52 am on June 14th, 2012
Good morning all!
Admin, what a tease you are. Grump
MollysMom, Mom says she is not such a youngster, as there were some big games she attended where Kate sang live. But many more of them where they used a recording, as she couldn’t get to every home game. More importantly, we can’t find an SDD for you but wanted to let you know that one of us is likely going to see the very famous Rebecca as well. Mom was going to surprise everyone (except Amalia who already guessed). But we told her that she needs to coordinate with others so we can all have fun fun fun.
8:15 am on June 14th, 2012
OHHHHH, More Plunderers! Hurrah!
Sneak peak, hmmm. Then puts us off for today, hmmm.
Chet? Grab some pant legs there! Have them do both! Two days of posts done.
8:57 am on June 14th, 2012
Hey youse guys!
Admin, such a tease you are!
More Plunderers to see a star being born! How cool is that?!
Rebecca: Sorry the news caused such a mess.
8:58 am on June 14th, 2012
OH: You lucky dogs! Please ask your mom to take lots of pictures!
9:02 am on June 14th, 2012
Rose, we thought you would be there too?
9:06 am on June 14th, 2012
Oleys, Molly’s Mom has company coming so ill answer for her – reneaudunn at gmail dot com.
9:14 am on June 14th, 2012
OH, the Royal Mum was reviewing her maps, and didn’t realize how difficult the trip would be for me geographically speaking. I’m very disappointed that I will miss this opportunity to meet some of the Plunderers, especially the star of the show. And I’m also diappointed I will not be able to buy any of the husky items! 🙁
9:36 am on June 14th, 2012
Rose, Sorry you will not be able to attend. We were excited for you!
9:49 am on June 14th, 2012
B&M: I was so excited, I thought I would splort. My wish is that someday, all the Plunderers can meet.
Did you mention that “The Artist” was in your film queue? Call us crazy, but the Prof and I saw that film 10 times. It was a wonderful film!
9:49 am on June 14th, 2012
Chet’s new friend Bauer is adorable!!!
9:51 am on June 14th, 2012
Why is Admin making the decision? It should be Spence. And I’m with Melanie: A sneak peek of both would be best otherwise we will be piqued.
Barb: You can download the e-story to your computer.
Good morning all.
9:54 am on June 14th, 2012
I like cherry pie al la mode.
MATT CAIN THREW A NO HITTER FOR THE GIANTS LAST NIGHT!
9:58 am on June 14th, 2012
Perfect!…I thought Cain threw a Perfect Game…snort!…In fact thats what I thought the mornings post would be about – not this nambie pambie sneak peak nonsense…wheeze!…It is the first Perfect Game for the Giants by the way…sneeze!
9:58 am on June 14th, 2012
Wolfie: Cherry pie it is.
10:01 am on June 14th, 2012
I was studying up on the Laws of Stovernia last night, and Section 19, paragraph 1,422, and lines 5 – 12 clearly state that Tortorous Teasing is outlawed, and should such an event occur, then both opening paragraphs should be printed on Blog immediately.
Punishment (for failure to comply) will be determined by Queen Bee.
I’m just saying…..
10:03 am on June 14th, 2012
Good Morning again. Have delivered Rosalyn to the vets. Patsy was with us (of course). A tri-colored corgi came in! Patsy thinks that all small dogs are puppies and I had quite a time explaining to her that the old Royal would not like it if she washed him all over.
Rosalyn did not want to be back there. She stopped moving. Three of us were pushing and pulling her into through the back rooms when she saw Fred. She is such a sucker for guys! He told her to come along and she did.
She’s there for the day. Zoe and I will be in and out with various appointments for ourselves while waiting impatiently to hear from the Vet.
Sniff, Bella will be pinned. Golly Gee. Bella, it occurs to me that you can always accept the pin for your pack if that makes it easier.
Rose, sorry you can’t make it. It’s a haul from where you are. MollyPop’s Mom, hope you can see your way clear. OleyHowlers, I’m about to email you a picture so watch for it.
10:06 am on June 14th, 2012
Rio and Wolfie: Rio you are correct. Matt Cain threw the first perfect game for the Giants last night. It was R.A. Dickey who threw a no-hitter for the Mets, and is the first 10 game winner.
I’ll have a slice of that cherry pie as well!
10:09 am on June 14th, 2012
Melanie, I am sad that I can’t see Rebecca get pinned. I hope the Pats feels tip-top soon!
10:13 am on June 14th, 2012
Hitch-hike!…MollysMom should be able to swing by and pick you up Rose…snort!…Don’t give up all hope…heh!
10:17 am on June 14th, 2012
Melanie, we got your picture. We’ll have to talk it over with Mom, because she is a little squeamish about that idea.
Rose, if it would help, we could pick you up on our way. We are going up 87, on the opposite side of the river from you. Mom still didn’t reserve a room so she says nothing is set in stone. Dima and Meashka are still on their best behavior as they vie for navigator duty.
10:42 am on June 14th, 2012
Dear Garden People, What could be making holes (tunnels?) in my asparagus beds. I can not blame the bear. The holes are not big enough. The garter snake seems to like the rock pile not the dirt. We have had a murder of crows lately. Do they eat things out of the garden?
10:44 am on June 14th, 2012
Wolfie: “Tortorous Teasing”–LOL!
Melanie: I think that you should write a book of stories about the Newfs. (In your spare time, of course.)
10:44 am on June 14th, 2012
Moles?
10:46 am on June 14th, 2012
Chipmonks!?…Chipmonks dig tunnels…snort!
10:54 am on June 14th, 2012
We have a chipmunk. He lives under the entrance steps of the west wing. Hmmm. Maybe he has branched out. Need to see if they like asparagus roots.
10:57 am on June 14th, 2012
Hmmm, guess what likes asparagus roots. Dognabit.
BBL
11:03 am on June 14th, 2012
This is what digs holes and tunnels in our garden. Every year we have babies. They are Soooo damn cute.

Good morning everyone.
BSD is busy with boxes and tape.
Something going to the East Coast?
Siber: Mom received a notification from the Iditarod Committee yesterday concerning a delay in sending out the 2012 DVD. They say it is because they want to add material and make it even better for us.
11:20 am on June 14th, 2012
Squirrel!….That 13 lined squirrel looks like a chipmonk to me…snort!
11:47 am on June 14th, 2012
SNEAK PEAK!! COMING SOON!!!
It might be an understatement to say we are ready for this.
Congratulations to Matt Cain! Wish we had seen the game.
Thanks for the info Masquers. I will probably wait to watch the Iditarod DVD until the end of baseball season. It will give me something to look forward to during that depressing time.
Rio, The Rockies play an afternoon game and Tulo has re-injured that muscle while playing in a rehab game.
The odds are with the Rockies to eventually win a game.
12:06 pm on June 14th, 2012
SiberH!….((((((sigh))))))
12:13 pm on June 14th, 2012
We have the ground squirrels here too, and have never had them burrow or tunnel in the gardens. Never have even gone into the gardens. Their holes tend to be straight down and they will have several openings about 3″ across. Ours go to the bird feeders and ground feed underneath them. I think they like seeds better than roots. Staff is right, they are very cute. Maggie makes a much bigger mess by trying to dig them out.
12:34 pm on June 14th, 2012
We just have ordinary tree rats here. They drive Annie nuts, heh-heh!
12:55 pm on June 14th, 2012
Boutique!…I think Rebecca needs to hire an assistant manager to help her re-stock the shelves…snort!…Thats what Ass-Mgrs do, right?…grunt!
12:57 pm on June 14th, 2012
Fame!…Once she becomes Famous and known world-wide as the Best Damned Handler Wife well, she is going to have to hire a Full Time Manager…grunt!…Rebecca, I know someone who is looking for a new Job…sniff!
12:58 pm on June 14th, 2012
Alas Siber dear. Is possible Rocks vill let us down after all. Home Office has not noticed yet, but Rocks must not continue to lose the base of balls !
1:23 pm on June 14th, 2012
Ahem… My bird feeders are in the garden.
1:26 pm on June 14th, 2012
Natasha!…Here me and SiberH thought you were going to pull some strings so the Rockies could make it to the World Series this year…sniff! ….SiberH was going to sacrifice his bachlorhood for the cause, remember?…gruffle!…So far you have let us down 7 times in a row…grunt!
1:26 pm on June 14th, 2012
Staff!…So?
1:43 pm on June 14th, 2012
Back from getting punctured. Zoe’s turn next.
I looked up chipmunk deterrents. Most of those I would not consider. I did notice one site said give them another food source. Now two days ago I stopped putting out the sunflower seeds on the ground because we had that murder of crows. I know the chipmunk was eating from there. Second day in I see holes in the garden.
Coincidence? I wonder . . I put more seed out. Zoe and I agreed that Dan would like the crows, chipmunk would be happy. We will see.
The cherry pie sounds good. If it’s gluten free I just might mention a certain sport.
1:52 pm on June 14th, 2012
Bella and Royals, please check SDD.
2:15 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rio, Staff was making a comment after I said our ground squirrels eat under the bird feeders.
2:52 pm on June 14th, 2012
Howlers! What a great surprise! I can’t wait!
Rio: I feel like I’m sinking with everything there is to do before I head south. Gah!
2:58 pm on June 14th, 2012
Natasha has succeeded in her mission to get us a sneak peak. Good Girl! If she takes as long to get the Rockies to the world series as she did on this mission…Well, GO ROCKIES in 2015!
3:08 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rose, Yes The Artist is on our Netflix list as is Marigold Hotel.
3:09 pm on June 14th, 2012
Good news!
You guys remember Blue the Cattle Dog that lives at Elephant Butte, NM A compromise has been reached that everyone that lives there can agree on. Blue is going to be unleashed, but within the boundaries of an invisiable fence. The community has already built him an air conditined dog house and money has been donated for the invisible fence.
There was a good article in the newspaper this morning and two pictures of Blue. He looks quite content.
3:18 pm on June 14th, 2012
SiberH!…What ever happened to Harold and Maude?…snort!
3:24 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rio, I’m laughing, but I know who you mean. It is Sally the Husky and I forget the pugs name. They are fine in their forever home. Sally jogs with her mom and the pug goes along in one of those baby joggers. They have a really great home. Love these happy endings.
What is the pug’s name? Could it be Harry?
3:25 pm on June 14th, 2012
Good news about Blue, Siber. Thanks for keeping us posted. Hope he gets to live out the rest of his life happily.
3:28 pm on June 14th, 2012
Slow day for pictures, so we will post one. This is the famous Doc from N.C. that Barb is always talking about. He is her little brother and shown with him in the picture is his wife Kay and their 2 sons.

5:18 pm on June 14th, 2012
Nice looking family there!
Okay, Ros seems to have eaten something toxic. Probably a mushroom. We have had so much rain and clouds they are popping up everywhere.
The second liver enzymes test showed an elevated level of one of them. Not high high but enough to raise questions. This enzyme takes awhile to come back to normal after reaching a high after ingesting toxins.
Ros is now on a different antibiotic and a liver support medication.
AND
something I thought I’d never say about a Newfoundland, an appetite stimulant.
Time to rest again. She goes back to the vet on Saturday to make sure that enzyme level is going down.
Thanks for the support and beaming of good vibes!
5:22 pm on June 14th, 2012
Good to hear, Melanie.
Lovely family Barb.
5:22 pm on June 14th, 2012
Melanie, It sounds like the worst is over and Ros will be making a steady recovery. Is that correct? We have been thinking positive thoughts over here.
5:31 pm on June 14th, 2012
Siber, great news about Blue.
Melanie, we are so happy that Ros’ issue has been found and measures to get her back to tip top have been taken.
Barb, lovely family pic!
Did youse guys read the story that Chet posted on FB? We think this is a fantastic idea!

5:46 pm on June 14th, 2012
Oley, Yes It seems like it could be a real positive, if they can truly weed out the ones with mental and violence issues. I guess they need to eliminate the homeless, although many homeless persons really give their dogs a lot of love. My concern with that would be ability to pay for medical bills, but county probably covers that while they are part of the program.
5:56 pm on June 14th, 2012
Barb – handsome family, and from the body language, close-knit.
We’re sorry we won’t be at the First Ever Bear Country Snowhook Reunion. You all will have a terrific time and those of us west of the Alleghenies will be waiting for reports.
Plunder on, Ros. Warm thoughts coming your way, and for your 2-leggeds.
6:41 pm on June 14th, 2012
Nice family.
this just in from our friend Kandy, who has all sorts of critters:
“I know that my chickens are very spoiled but they just proved they’re a bunch of little Divas, I was cleaning out their run and reworking their misters. So since I was there to keep an eye on them I let them out to free range in the front pasture. They had a lovey time chasing grasshoppers and other things, BUT when it started to get hot they all went back into the run and laid in front of their fans under the misters. Soooo Spoiled!!!!
7:11 pm on June 14th, 2012
Bluecat, Yes they are all close. They both went to the boys soccer games and now that they are grown (younger one has one more yr of college)they still enjoy each other’s company. Go out to dinner together, cookout, etc. We are looking forward to seeing them July 4th in Lake Geneva.
Macy, Chickens are much smarter than people think.
7:36 pm on June 14th, 2012
Macy, it looks like your friend runs a chicken spa!
7:41 pm on June 14th, 2012
Macy – tell those ckickens that they can come lay down in front of us, and we will blow them off too….right, Siber?
Mama is whirling and twirling thinking about maybe meeting other Plunderers in addition to the lovely SnowBella.
With all these Plunderers in town, don’t ya think a certain famous author should show up to receive his fair share of the adulation?
There are posters going up everywhere. Not one single place has said no once they read about the event.
And as to the ridiculous rumor that we ran in terror when confronted by Mama Bear yesterday? Balderdash! Pure and simple mis-statements of fact. It just so happened that there was something VERY important that needed doing under the bed way down the hall at just that moment. Thats our story and we’re stickin’ to it!
8:22 pm on June 14th, 2012
Posters!…All over town!…yippeeee!heh!…That VFW won’t be big enough to hold the throngs of people flocking in…snort!…I hope Rebecca remembers to write up her speech…sniff!
8:34 pm on June 14th, 2012
I can relate, Herbs. I often need to handle VERY important things under one of the beds.
8:46 pm on June 14th, 2012
Down!…Well, my friend isn’t getting my relaxing time after being at the stressful-busy-place all day long…sniff!…Her mother must have broke a rib or two, or fractured them or sumthing…wheeze!….Because she seems to be getting worse. Course Beau and I know that she goes downstairs and does laundry and pulls hoses around during the day…grunt!…Then when my friend comes home she is having terrible back spasms and can hardly move…gruffle!…AND then she argues when my friend figures out what she has done during the day and confronts her with it…heh!…Its crazy around here right now…sneeze!
8:46 pm on June 14th, 2012
Herbs, Right! Say, there may be hope for those two kats after all.
8:49 pm on June 14th, 2012
Bed!…So the one with the back trouble is in bed now and we are helping someone else water the back lawn…sniff!…Maybe we won’t have to walk tonight even though the smoke has cleared out finally…wheeze!
8:54 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rio – we suppose your friend’s mother is one of those types that would refuse to go to the hospital under any circumstances, right?
Maybe your friend should just bop her one, than call 911 while she was out cold.
We are so sorry that you are having such a hard time with it all.
8:58 pm on June 14th, 2012
Tupper!…Between being incredibly miserable at the busy-place and really miserable at home, I’m sort of afraid my friend is going to go off the deep-end one day and leave all of us…wuffle!sniff!…She might just get in her old Suburu and drive to Alaska or sumthing….snuffle!….Without me!
8:59 pm on June 14th, 2012
Riö, When I cracked my ribs a few years ago (had nothing to do with the Pack, I can be a klutz at times) I went in hoping the docs would tape my ribs or SOMETHING.
Nope, they don’t do that anymore. Pneumonia problems.
YSAS had a good second staged reading. Though at the catering job this morning some one decided he would look good with corn chowder all over him. He said it was an interesting ride back on the train. I’m just glad the NYC rats didn’t like corn chowder.
I feel like I’ve had 3 days in this one day. Does this mean I get to sleep 3X as long?
TTFN
9:21 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rio – your friend would never leave you. Nope – she loves your ugly old pug mug. All the way down to your curly tail.
Besides that – she has all of US – she could never leave all of us, could she?
9:30 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rio, your friends mother sounds a lot like Melanies Dan.
9:41 pm on June 14th, 2012
Friend!…I’m pretty sure she doesn’t like anybody right now. Especially relatives and so-called friends at the busy-place…sniff!…She said she still likes me and Beau and the Plunderers but that is about it….gruffle!…Her mother was just up in a drugged-out state telling her how to move the water….heh!heh!…That didn’t go over very well either.
10:22 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rio, Maybe your friend could turn the hose on her. Bet that would quiet her down!
Night all, better days ahead for all those under the quilt.
11:08 pm on June 14th, 2012
B&M: I had the same thougt about the hose, but didn’t want to give Rio’s fried any ideas.
11:17 pm on June 14th, 2012
Paint!…I know i paint her mother in a bad picture, she isn’t all that bad. Although she does bring a lot of pain onto herself and others by being so selfish…grunt!…She makes me look like a Saint some days. Like every day this week so far starting last Friday….heh!
11:20 pm on June 14th, 2012
Rebecca!…”Rio’s fried”….snort!…I like it and it fits! her so well right now as a description…heh!
11:24 pm on June 14th, 2012
anyvon who can make Rio look like saint must be very hard getting along vith. Not like Natasha. Everyvon loves Natasha. Right Siber, dear?
11:31 pm on June 14th, 2012
Saintly!…heh!….Natasha, you are out in the open and posting. I thought I was all alone out here again…sniff!…Her mother is a control freak to the maximum extreme…grunt!…My friend is pretty easy going, but the whole bossing her around routine is wearing thinner and thinner….snuffle!
11:51 pm on June 14th, 2012
Hey Rio – we came back to check in and say hi, but we have to go to bed. We are just asleep on our paws.
We’ll talk to you tomorrow. Tell your friend not to run away from home before then.
11:54 pm on June 14th, 2012
Grimmm!…the outlook is Grimmm!…heh!…We are finally downstairs relaxing except for the fact that she decided to catch up on that show Grimm….gah!
12:26 am on June 15th, 2012
Package!…We finally have time to really open the package that Agent Wookie sent us…heh!…He has some how procured the first four books the Charming Mr. Abrahams wrote a long, long time ago…snort!…Way before I was even born….sneeze!…My friend and i have had a great time looking at the photos of a very young, intense, handsome Mr. Abrahams…wheeze!…I can actually imagine this guy deep sea diving with a spear in his hands on the islands…heh!
12:32 am on June 15th, 2012
Home!….sniff!…My friend is pretty sure she needs to make sure her mother “rests” her back tomorrow…wheeze!…Even though it is the busy-season at the busy-place she really doesn’t give a cr@p because of the whole vacation thingy…heh!heh!…So if I Ass-of-You-And-Me correctly, this means she is going to take tomorrow off….wooooooo!
12:33 am on June 15th, 2012
OHHH!…And Goodnight!…heh!sneeze!
1:01 am on June 15th, 2012
Mom brought Claudie home from the V-E-T today, and Claudie is a very happy boy. She gave hin his first injection before they left the office, and mom didn’t even splort.
3:22 am on June 15th, 2012
Wolfie: you must be so proud of your mom. Loves to Claudie.

Reading e-story these days is really fun and it is enjoyable! I don’t need to carry big books with me as I can view them with my tablet. Thanks to advanced technology!
