Good morning, y’all! What a great way to start the day, with a Chet and Bernie exerpt! My favorite line comes when Chet’s talking about Spike and him playing. It sounds like Spence wrote it just for me:
“I have lots of unknowns in me, too.”
Maybe we’ll get another exerpt tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that. And before you know it, we’ll be able to read the whole book! Sounds like a good plan, huh Spence???

Kirby, that was a Great Read (snicker), wasn’t it? We want more more more. Do you know that was the very first time that Kat got to read one of Chet’s books? Now she wants Mom to read all the others to her. Well, that would take up the summer of waiting for ACWI and FOC. But Mom says then she will never finish her 909 page Civil War history.

Rebecca, I was reading last night’s posts early this morning as I usually do. While it always hurts to lose one that is loved, please know that Bridger will be well taken care of on the Rainbow Bridge, and that his heart still beats in yours and AJ’s. Bridger knew how much he was loved, and returned that love to you and AJ ten-fold. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rebecca, We are sorry about Bridger. He will now be able to travel between Rainbow Bridge and the land beyond Rainbow Bridge where the Huskies go. It is a land of snow. He knows he was loved.

Thank you for your words of comfort. I previously shared what made Bridger special. I said long ago when I realized that AJ and Bridger were one spirit in the same, I said they broke the mold with both. A couple of years ago, I can across this song that I adopted from Bridger. His other song is ‘Trouble me’ by 10,000 Maniacs.

Good news everyone and this may help with the auction situation too. Casa Wookie is once again electrically powered. We may not move back in until tomorrow, but PEPCO finally came through. There are, however, still traffic lights near where we life that are dark and the nearby grocery store, gas station etc. are still without power. Four days and counting. Sheesh.

Ultimately!….snort!…It will be up to Rebecca to post-pone or not and I have not heard the word “post-pone” from her. Although, I haven’t checked my email since this morning either…heh!heh!…Manning Auction Central can be a lot of work and you pretty much have to stay attached to the computer all day and late at night. Unless the bidding is really really slow….snort!…With only 3 days to place bids, I am expecting heavy traffic all three days…sniff!

Laurie, the first draft of “To Fetch A Thief” had a white ear for Chet. It is actually on the bottom of this page. They took it out of the real cover.

OleyHowlers!…burp!…By golly it is Beer O’Clock on the East Coast and the West Coast if you ask me….snort!…Tomorrow is the Fourth of July and O’Brother will still be here…heh!…This really has been a treat for her and her mother to have him around for so long, even though he is a big ole dork. He works hard and is a perfectionist. He is also an Electrician…heh!…Thats the part they love the most about him I think…snorkel!…I’ve never seen anyone eat as much as he does. He makes me proud…. chuffle! …Beau won’t let him out of his sight. He never wants to go outside, but if O’Brother is out there, he wants to be out there with him….heh!…She is keeping us both in right now because it is so hot outside…sniff!

News from YSAS zombie hoard. They have finished filming in one area and McKey, the crew and the hoard were crossing the street to go to another location.
A tour bus was at the corner and everyone saw the hoard. Cameras out, flashes going, screams of what was going on. What did the hoard do? Snapped into character and attacked the bus. The tourists loved it!
The crew didn’t get a single shot because it took to long to get the camera up and running.

He is a funny guy. He also had a blast.
I was watering the gardens this morning and noticed that the earth was still dry an inch down. Hmmm. So I used the sprinkler this evening on some things. I am a klutz when it comes to the sprinkler. I am wet. I will be looking at soaker hoses on Thursday.

Rio: The first wedding went well, except for the 2 year old flower girl who decided to have a tantrum and throw herself on the floor, kicking and screaming instead of spreading rose petals down the aisle. Heh. Yes, I fit into my dress, although by the end of the night it seemed to get tighter but that was a testimonial to the delish food that was served. The second wedding is this Saturday.
