Skunks and Us
“Audrey got skunked last night?” Admin says. “What are we going to do?”
“Let’s put it out there,” Spence says. “Any readers out there have a suggestion or two?”
Welcome sunloving dude, Pippin.

Gooood morning, everyone! Hope those who slept under the quilt are feeling better. Great news about CHH: trip and a sedate Sadie! (or is that sedated?)
SKUNK: Traditional says a bath in ‘mater juice…? “Nature’s Miracle” used to be great but think formula may have changed. We hillbillies like “Unique” POE. Grrrreat!.
Hey, OFA, let’s have an olfactory Friday
8:43 am on August 23rd, 2013
Spence. When Wookie got skunked, we just used a milk bath. Keep it on for a couple of minutes and then wipe off. Repeat as necessary. We have heard about tomato juice too, but that is quite a bit messier and I don’t think it is any more effective. Additionally, you just have to get used to eau de skunk for a while. It lingers for a while but does ultimately go away. As far as the blog is concerned, I think SiberH is probably the real expert on this particular subject.
9:28 am on August 23rd, 2013
Oh Audrey. Poor Spence and Admin et al. I hope something works.
Good morning all.
9:32 am on August 23rd, 2013
Heh, heh…Good one, Hounds.
Wookie’s Dad: I do believe you are right…Siber-H would be the Expert in these matters.
Good Day to B and All.
Off to catch up on Yesterday………
9:36 am on August 23rd, 2013
Skunked!…heh!snort!heh!
9:49 am on August 23rd, 2013
Question of the day: What is a group of kats called?
Answer: A clowder…chortle…who knew.
That was some yesterday all youse had! I have some katching up to do.
Dear Tenz: You have gone to great lengths to save your Lady from her scheduled dental appointment. Kat kisses & purrs for you and my buddy Gus, both of youse who are tucked snugly under the quilt.

Remember the Great Tupper Skunking of last year? The first three baths were from a recipe found online that included three ingredients, one of which was citrus scented dish soap. We also went to Agway and got their deskunking do bath stuff.
But even now, a year later, we still get a faint “eau de pea- you” every now and then.
Day 4 of the Really Long Shew. Weather is a little more amenable. Hope the crowds come pouring in, just throwing money.
Have a grand day all.
10:14 am on August 23rd, 2013
We agree, Siber would be the go to guy.
Wondering if the skunk got away. Assuming Pearl stayed out of trouble.
Have a great day Amalia and Leonard.
10:22 am on August 23rd, 2013
Wowser, wowser, wowser! Actually some sun here. We know we are in the foothills of the “Great Smokies” amd why the clouds look like smoke, but enough is enough! There is a strange yellow thing in the sky today!
10:30 am on August 23rd, 2013
The “heat wave” here has subsided and the temp is now a balmy San Diego-ish 72 degrees.
HOH: No strange yellow thing in the sky yet, but I have high hopes for later in the day.
10:31 am on August 23rd, 2013
Oh, and Tupper’s Mama…Good sales day to you!
10:34 am on August 23rd, 2013
We are Waiting Anxiously to hear from SnowBella about our pal Tenz.
10:37 am on August 23rd, 2013
Greetings!
Friday and a payday. Is there anything better than that? You tell me.
My thoughts and prayers are with my buddies, Tenzing and Gus.
10:43 am on August 23rd, 2013
Rose: For moi, even better than a payday is seeing your smiling face posting on this here blog. ^..^
10:44 am on August 23rd, 2013
Rose, good to hear from you, you crack us up!
10:50 am on August 23rd, 2013
Audrey probably thinks she smells great. Siber-H is the go-to guy for this question. I’m glad our skunk population is held in check by our Eastern Coyotes.
I know that sandlewood incense (the real stuff) cuts the smell out of a house. My Clara decided to mess with a skunk the day before our open house. Took awhile before she lost the odor, but the house (when she wasn’t in it) smelled fine.
10:52 am on August 23rd, 2013
Auction!…My friend took my Auction Item to the busy-place with her this morning…grunt!….I hope she comes home with it. So far she says it is a big hit…heh!heh!…The first thing everyone says is “How long did that take to make!?”…snort!…Then they ooooo and awwww. …heh!…She better come home with it in her paws or else…grump!
10:53 am on August 23rd, 2013
Don’t ya’ll just love the scents our babies bring to us! -Sharon…got the ipaw away from the HOH for a sec.
10:55 am on August 23rd, 2013
Good morning all, your senses of humor (skunk smell or not) are all intact.
It is good to be a twin of Tenzing. Let’s do some algebra.
If A is Tenzing, B is Melanie, and C is Rose . .
A = B
A = C
Then it follows that
B = C
I’m also a twin of Rose!
11:05 am on August 23rd, 2013
Wait! More algebra. Dima=A (spleen/ dog), Sharon=B(spleen), Tenzing=(dog w/ spleen. SOOOO:
A=B (Dima we’re twins)
A=C (Tenzing and Dima are twins)
Then it follows that
B=C Tenzing and Sharon are twins too!
And Dima! Wow! Can we get Rose and Melanie into this equation somewhere?
And who else?
11:18 am on August 23rd, 2013
First of all, let me say that I am sure Audrey isn’t bothered at all by the smell. That is the most important thing. Way to go Audrey!!
I really don’t have THE answer because mom has tried every skunk smell remover known to man, including sending the dog to the groomer. Groomers are no better at removing the smell than the do it yourself methods.
She thinks they all work about the same…nothing totally removes the skunk smell. Choose whatever method of skunk smell remover you want and then give the dog a bath. Time takes care of the rest of the smell.
Not because she wanted to, but mom has had to let a freshly skunked dog in the truck and the house. I am one of those dogs. The smell fades quickly with time.
11:24 am on August 23rd, 2013
Siber-H: Love your wording…”The Smell Fades Quickly with Time”.
11:25 am on August 23rd, 2013
The milk bath was an old fashioned remedy that a friend had recommended. Dad said “wipe it off” but that is not correct. Actually, you give a bath after leaving the milk on for a few minutes (guess who did this – Mom or Dad???? LOL) We found that it GREATLY diminished the odor and made it livable with Wookie in the house. He got a full dose of eau de skunk so I really think it worked.
11:29 am on August 23rd, 2013
My dear Masquers, you are so sweet!
Are we playing Six Degrees of Rose?
I am proud to be a twin of Tenzing, Melanie!
Let’s not forget Gus. He fits into this equation somewhere…
11:34 am on August 23rd, 2013
There was the time mom de-skunked the Dingo in the shower using tomato juice. When she was finished, it looked like the scene from the movie, Psycho.
Skunk prevention methods mom uses in the backyard:
Lights left on all night out there except in the winter time. She hates having to do this because it is a waste of energy.
No water, food, fruit trees, ect. in the dog part of the yard.
Check yard with flashlight before dog goes out in the dark.
Skunk traps if you have an animal control that will come pick it up and take the skunk away to release it down by the Rio Grande.
I am not going to get skunked when I am out and about because I am a Siber so I am always on a leash.
11:42 am on August 23rd, 2013
Mom has never tried the milk bath. She wishes she had known about it for the dogs that came before me.
Wookie’s Mom, My mom says you did the de-skunking.
Mom’s de-skunking solution for me is the groomer because she is not big enough or strong enough to give me a bath nor is she a masochist.
11:49 am on August 23rd, 2013
Hey all: our mom is rotfl with all the skunk “remedies”. This is indeed an olfactory Friday!! (And it is odiferous, too).
11:56 am on August 23rd, 2013
Melanie mentioned milk thistle for Tenzing last night.
A vet put mom’s Border Collie on milk thistle because he was on drugs for seizure disorder.
12:19 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Bella: Hope to hear from you soon.
12:37 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Skunking is A Rite of Passage for the Nation Within. And Chet, the Blog title today could be…Skunks or Us.
Wookie’s Mom: Your Method sounds like a Winner.
12:43 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Oh Audrey…snicker. When our kat Gypsy got skunked the vet said to use this…From the Humane Society site
Mix together:
1 quart of 3-percent hydrogen peroxide (available at your local pharmacy)
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid dishwashing soap
Wearing rubber gloves, wash your dog with this solution immediately after he’s been sprayed. DO NOT get the solution in the dog’s eyes. (If you don’t have peroxide, baking soda, and liquid soap on hand, use vinegar diluted with water.)
Caution: Do NOT save this mixture or make it ahead of time, as the mixture could explode if left in a bottle.
Step 3: Clean and rinse
Rub the mixture through his fur, but don’t leave it on him too long (peroxide can bleach his fur). Rinse him thoroughly.
Step 4: Shampoo
Next, wash your dog with pet shampoo and rinse thoroughly. By now, he should be de-skunked and smelling sweet. Thoroughly towel-dry your dog, and be sure to place him in a warm, sunny room for the next couple of hours so that he doesn’t get chilled. He should also have a large dry towel on which to lie down. If you dog has long fur, you may need to use a hair dryer to dry his fur.
Owner cleanup
If your dog rubbed some of the stink onto you, you can rid your clothes of the smell by using regular laundry detergent mixed with a half-cup of baking soda.
Hey Amalia I have another monarch hatching today…
Rose so glad you are keeping Rio on his toes.
And CHHobbit yay for Sadie having a quiet trip. And you don’t have to resort to likker…snicker
Tenzing and Gus we are thinking of you.
I must go get ready for lunch. Fresh tomatoes with fresh lettuce and BACON. yummers.
12:46 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Well for cripes sake. A really long post and it is ‘awaiting moderation’ I am going to try taking out one word…

StaggDeer: The moderator may have thought you were esplain’ the steps to building a bomb…can’t be too careful with the likes of us Plunderers you know.

By the way…loved your video of yesterday…bringing us into your wonderful garden, showing us the lovely butterfly and all narrated by beautiful you, you, you.

You all saw the photo of Barb&Magpie’s Bumper Crop of Tomaters yesterday….Now here is Bear’s first harvest…very sad.

1:52 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Bear, The tomatoes do look tasty.
1:54 pm on August 23rd, 2013
These plants are obviously in need of some Magic Fairy Dust (Miracle Grow).
1:57 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Thanks, Siber-H, they are on Today’s Menu. I’ll let you know.
2:00 pm on August 23rd, 2013
I had a farily peaceful night and my Lady didn’t wake up to another crime scene. She didn’t sleep much. In fact she spent the night sick to her stomach and laying on the bathroom floor. I slept through most of it. I’m still not eating, but sometimes a fella just doesn’t feel like it—just as Dima and Gus.
Audrey: You’re one up on me. I’ve never been skunked before. You’re living the dream.
Wookie’s paw has the best method for de-skunking our kind. He got someone else to do it.
2:12 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Tenzing: stay close to your 2-legged today if you can. Hope you are both feeling better.
Siber-H: no skunks in Alaska. Add that to the list of no ticks, no snakes and no heartworms. Another point in favor of your returning home to your natural habitat.
BSD: lol (sorry but your photo was too funny)
2:17 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Laughing here. Just came back from a walk / run at the camp. First time since spring. The Pack thinks the campers would enjoy having them around. Our thought is why take chances.
Bumper crop today. The leeks are simmering in Potato Leek soup. Peaches have been cut up and frozen for YSAS and LLL’s next visit. Another peach cobbler is planned.
2:19 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Dear Bear, Your Oxalis looks lovely. I repotted mine in a self watering pot and it was too wet for it. It hated it. Many of them died off from rot. Finally I figured out my problem and put it back in a clay pot. It is happy happy happy now.
I must go take some pics of my ‘maters….
There are a few Cherokee Purple that still need to ripen over on the left. They fell off when I was fighting with the Amish Paste which are huge paste type tomatoes. Also Super Fantastic which are my hubbies fav’s. (He thinks size is important). The yellow ones are an heirloom called Golden Jubilee.
2:20 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Tenzing, glad you are feeling better. Hope SnowBella is bettor soon. Did she catch something at the top of the world, worried about you, or teeth related?
2:21 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Masquers…blush.
2:24 pm on August 23rd, 2013
C.Hobbit, I love skunks but I will bring the “no skunks in Alaska” to mom’s attention.
Rebecca, We are sorry you are sick. You had a horrible day yesterday and then last night. We wish rest for you.
Tenzing. Good to hear you are doing better. My mom is not going to worry about you not eating right now.
2:35 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Everyone, STOP with t he sicks and feel better.
2:39 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Well, poop. My Lady is upset. AJ was driving home this morning from his job and his vehicle broke down. He had Rico and Abe with him—they’re coming home from their summer jobs early—and Abe bolted out of the vehicle when the Giant got out to look at the problem. He spent 45 minutes getting chasing Abe who is now safe and sound. My Lady said she would pick AJ up in the dog truck if it still wasn’t in the shop. It’s been in the shop for over a month and for the fourth time since the race. It has broken down the first time we’ve driven it after the mechanic has ‘fixed’ it. AJ working on a plan to get he and his vehicle home. Why doesn’t he just blur? Oh, yeah, he can’t.
2:48 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Tenzing: “poop”is right. Maybe we should all just learn to blur, it would be easier. Lesson schedule and sign-ups?
2:53 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Wolfie is the blurring master. Wolfie: Do you teach lessons for two-leggeds?
2:59 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Tenz: This Vehicle Situation just won’t do!
Calling Wolfie: Blurring Lessons needed for the AJ.
C.Hobbit: I’ll ignore your snickers over my tomatoes just because you had such a Good Trip with Sadie Bear.
3:01 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Looks like Bear couldn’t decide which he was going to say…the Giant or AJ.
No snakes in Alaska? Indiana Jones would like it there.
3:12 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Deer Staff: Yes, the Oxalis is doing well now that it is inside. It Did NOt like the out-of=doors…too much sun…although all the articles we read say it does well outdoors this was not the case. Apparently we have one of the Fragile Varieties.
We also saw it called The Lucky Shamrock…What a lovely name.
Melanie: Is that a few Tiny Tomatoes I see amongst the peaches? Misery does love company you know……..
3:13 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Lovely tomatoes Staff. The potato leek soup sounds very good Melanie.
Good to hear from Tenzig.
3:24 pm on August 23rd, 2013
BearSpiritDog, yes those are small tomatoes. They are cherry tomatoes. Our large tomatoes never have time to ripen. Speaking of which, we are having fried green tomatoes at dinner.
The potato leek soup is excellent. It is for tomorrow night.
I am sitting on the desk massage chair. My back appreciates it.
DAWSON, are you okay?
Goin to try find Staff’s video.
3:33 pm on August 23rd, 2013
That was a joyful video.
Need to figure out a name for Staff’s program on PBS.
Bodacious Butterflies starring Staff?
3:37 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Melanie: Fried Green Tomatoes! Do you have a Recipe?
3:47 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Melanie: Perhaps one of the Pack could teach the dozer to blur so in the future we have yet another pillow in situ for those who need it? Let Darah and mom know.
4:19 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Fried green tomatoes sound good! Yes, Melanie we want your recipe too.
Sorry BSD. Did you grown your tomatoes right in the ground or all in containers? We did not do well with our two container tomatoes this year. Evidently heirlooms do not like to be grown in a pot. And we don’t use Miracle Grow since it is not organic. However, Miracle Grow did come out with a totally organic liquid fertilizer. You attach the plastic bottle to your hose and spray. Works well.
4:29 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Barb&Magpie: They were all grown in pots. Good to know they like the ground better. This is the first year for us…next year will be better. And…we were wondering about Miracle Grow…whether or not it is organic.
4:31 pm on August 23rd, 2013
…so you answered our question.
4:31 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Barb!…heirlooms do not like to be grown in a pot.…snort!…Now you tell me!…grunt!
Rebecca!…Youse guys are going through a bad spell right now….sniffle!…I sure hope you are feeling better. It is one way to lose weight, but it is not very enjoyable…wheeze!…How will the Giant get home???…gah!
4:38 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Melanie: I’d like the recipe for the potato leek soup.
4:40 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Sammie!…We were re-watching parts of an episode of “Broadchurch” last night and there was a very short scene with an actor we recognised as one of the people on “Siberia”. I recognized his voice right off..heh!…I bet they are all actors. It is too extreme to be anywhere near reality…grunt!
4:41 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Rio: I lost 2.7 pounds last night. It was quick, effective and miserable. I’m feeling much better today. Whatever it was hit out of nowhere and was gone quickly. The Giant will work out a plan. Bad spell! Is this where I tell you that Lefty played too rough with me today and my hand is now swollen and throbbing? He is hanging his tail in shame. I’ve already forgiven him, but I don’t think he’s forgiven himself, yet. I am so very, very glad it is the weekend…sheesh.
I hope Golinka and the Storyteller are busy, busy, busy selling all their wares. That would make packing up to go home so much easier.
4:48 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Hello from the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains! We are having a very good time at Barkwells, but still exhausted from our 14 hours in the car yesterday. One hour spent on the Blue Ridge Parkway just for the fun of it, one and a half hours sitting still in traffic due to not one but two bad accidents on the same patch of road, and another half-hour for our 2-leggeds to go back for chargers so we can stay connected in the wilds.

We had to do a really quick skim of the blog, so we may have missed most. But we now know good news about Macy’s dad, and good news about Sadie and her Hobbit. But we are concerned for Tenzing. We will say a special prayer for him under the stars tonight.
What of Gus? Any updates there? We hope he is improving.
Dima…he is sleeping off today’s hike, so we are all just hanging out with him now.
4:52 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Wow!…The Howlers are finally on their vacation!…snort!snort!
4:54 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Oh, and about the skunk perfume: the ‘rents use that online recipe that Staff posted. They have used it many many times, and unfortunately for us, it always works. After the first application, they usually do a 2nd application the following day. We Howlers think the skunk perfume is much nicer than that stupid hydrogen peroxide stuff.
5:06 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Tenzing. Yes, Wookie’s Dad has this system down pat. Oddly enough Wookie let me bathe him but the groomer – no way, no how. I got a frantic phone call one day in the middle of a meeting to COME PICK UP MY DOG. Was he finished so soon. NO, BUT HE WAS BANNED, NEVER TO RETURN” Never really figured out why but I think it had something to do with jumping down off the table and the table going with him??? LOL
5:07 pm on August 23rd, 2013
O’Howlers! Happy, Happy Faces!
5:13 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Wookie’s Mom: Our mom got a similar call for the original newf, Aretha. Said she was ” biting” groomer. Turns out she was head butting as she was tired of bath time and wanted to go to other things. Sheesefoof-mambo! Why don’t groomers learn their critters? Dima:Hahve a good nap!
5:13 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Nothing could be finer than a walk in the woods with the family. Happy vacation Dima, Meashka & Kat and, of course, your mom & pop too.
5:18 pm on August 23rd, 2013
OH: Nothin’ could be finer that to be in Carolina in the ……eeeeeveening! Sing along.
5:19 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Wow! Wookie banned for life! We are so proud if not a little jealous. We’ve never been banned from any place before. We must be doing something wrong. Elim has been known to take the exam table with him during vet checks at the Iditarod. It takes back-up (a.k.a. the Giant, my Lady, and two vet techs) to hold him down for the exam. Us?—We’re perfect gentlemen.
5:28 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Ya’ll are soooo cute. (And cute should never be unpunished! )
5:53 pm on August 23rd, 2013
(Keep singing) Nothin’ could be sweeter than my sweetie when I greet her in the morning. When the mornin’ glories, hang around your door……………..

Youse guys would not believe all the Members of the Nation at this place! We got to run all over and then two guys came by to visit us us us!!!! I am praying we stay here furever.

AaaahhhhOOOOoooOOoOOooOoooo
Strolling with my girlie where the dew is pearly early in the morning,
Butterflies all flutter up and kiss each little buttercup at dawning,
the fourth flutterby flew about 4 p.m.

The Naybor is gone. The junk is gone. The yard is mowed, if maybe a little too much. They mowed our side yard down to the roots. But back to the headline. THE NAYBOR IS GONE!!!
Anyone need refills on the headbumps and not so dainty licks? I am a 24 hour specialist.
6:20 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Ooooh Staff, Will there be more?
HOH & Stagg: Youse are quick on the pickup! Quick like a bunny I’ll run and get my sax.
6:22 pm on August 23rd, 2013
You guys made me sooooo hungry. I am making potato soup here too. No leeks though. I will have to plant some next year. I had to use an onion. I still have a few left.
6:23 pm on August 23rd, 2013
I have 2 chrysalises left. Hopefully they will hatch. One is getting dark so high in the sky hopes for tomorrow.
6:25 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Kat, I love that picture of youse! Have fun, fun, fun!
Tenzing, Hope you and your Lady are feeling better now. How will the Giant get home now?
All tomatoes big and small looked yummy! I love tomatoes!!!
6:59 pm on August 23rd, 2013
Glad SnowBella is feeling better. She doesn’t need to lose any more weight.
O’Howlers, it looks like youse guys are having a furderful time. I’m glad Dima is doing well.
B.Syover, that recipe is in Dishlickers. We will be having it tomorrow with a baguette and cheese.
Fried Green Tomatoes (learned in the South when I lived there)
Cut the tomatoes so the slices are about 1/4 inch thick. Soak in a whisked egg. Put in or pour over some flour (I used a very smooth rice flour).
Put in frying pan that has lots of melted butter in it.
Brown slowly, turning frequently.
BlueKat, I am soory about your friend.

We will try the fried green tomatoes. Sound yummy.
Rio, we never tried heirlooms in pots before, so didn’t know. Probably will not try them again next year in pots, however peppers seemed to do very well in the container.

Melanie: I’m here. My computer would not let me on the internet yesterday for some reason. I tried everything I know (that ain’t much). Then today miraculously, it worked. Good thing because Dad has a house call from a computer geek to help him use his computer (which was on the blink also). Then I had to go on a huge grocery shopping trip. Then Dad’s home health aide was here and on it goes. The migraine headache hasn’t helped matters.
I love those little golden cherry tomatoes. They are delish and my favorite of the year.
I have only gotten one Paul Robeson as the squirrels have eaten the rest. Thanks to Barb for letting me know they do not get all the way red. I might get a few more but it has been fairly unproductive. My tomato yield is better than BearSpiritDog’s (loved that picture) but nowhere near Staff’s or Barb’s bounty. I have several that have splits around the tops which someone told me is caused by too much water.
Tenzing and Gus: Many prayers going out for you two and those who are caring for you.
BlueCat: Thank dog for hospice although it is very hard to deal with watching a friend or family member slip away. My prayers for you and your friend.
I am now getting caught up on the blog. I am glad CHobbit and Sadie finally found a drug that worked, that Macy’s Dad got a job and that Staff is freeing butterflies.

Dawon, glad you are back in the real world of pixels. snicker
Dinner was very good. While I cleaned up the kitchen, I took the cherry tomatoes, cut them in half, added some cucumber and onion, and through in some feta cheese.
Lunch is done!
As soon as my laundry is dry I am headed upstairs. It is already 67 degrees. YEA!

And now for something completely different . .
I understand the interest in sinkholes. I do. Would I stand next to one and film an entire line of trees getting sucked down into one? One that is said to be 700 feet deep. Jeeze Louise!

The Giant is home.
“When I am an old woman I shall eat purple tomatoes”
Purple!
That reminds me of a poem we used to recite when we were kids, not sure who it is by, probably Odgen Nash:
“I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one.
But from the milk we’re getting now, there certainly must be one.”
I’m going to take a strong dose of ibuprofen and go to sleep hoping to wake up headache free. Nighty noodles and G’day to LizF.

The Giant is home! The Giant is home!
I think I must be part dog (a twin to Tenzing) because I always feel better when the Pack is complete and at home.
My back is getting better. I could get into bed without sliding in hoping my back wouldn’t notice. It’s keeping my shoulders level as I walk. Easier said than remembered.
My eyes are closing . .

Goodnight everyone. Tomorrow is a quilting day AGAIN because Mr.Staff is at a Bluegrass concert all weekend. I can’t leave until the monarch hatches though. Must take care of the butterflys.
I got about 15 more caterpillars this week. They are moth caterpillars though. They are eating their little skins off. Mr.Staff doesn’t know it yet but he will be taking care of them when I am off with Dawson. heh heh heh. What do you think he will do? Do you think he will take them outside and put them on the host plant and leave them there? I hope not. I will not tell him it is a possibility.
Yawn. Good morning Liz.
11:10 pm on August 23rd, 2013

Home from day 4 of the Really Long Shew.
Prayers are being said for those in need.
Laughter has been appreciated.
Show was very busy, we are very tired, but wanted to check in and make sure all were either well or tucked securely under the quilt.
Good night all – may tomorrow be a day of health, happiness and perfectly running dog trucks.
I never saw a purple cow
I never hope to see one
But I can tell you any how
I’d rather see than be one.

You really make it seem really easy together with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be actually one thing that I feel I might
by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and
extremely broad for me. I am having a look forward on your subsequent
post, I’ll attempt to get the hang of it!
