Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Dima.
Our folks went to the beach yesterday. They took their bikes, their bathing suits, a change of clothes, but said there was no room for us. 🙁 they also took our iPaw. 🙁 🙁
Mom said it was the most perfect beach day ever. The ocean was calm and warm and she swam swam swam. We doubt that we would have found the ocean to our liking, but the beach itself sounds rather interesting. They told us of a silly 2-legged looking for treasures in the sand by walking around with a metal detector, rather than using his nose and his paws. Sometimes we just do not understand humans.
Wose, we read thru the past 2 days, and we see that you will be meeting 2 of the best Plunderers in all the world.

Melanie, the picture was taken by A Catty’s daughter. She did not have to stand in the street. She was assisted by a mostly black neighborhood Kat. He kept giving her instructions. I suspect they were mostly “Hey, pet me” but I don’t understand Kat so I am not sure.

Mom says the she has arrived at the Inferno. I wonder if she will meet Dante? She is in Mesa, right next-door to Pottsdale. Personally, Bernie and Chet need to move someplace cooler and wilder. Bernie can set up a web site and have his clients pay traveling expenses.

Good morning everyone. Barb is back at work this morning. Just till 12:30. She said she loves it so much she can’t stay away. Hee, hee, haa, haa.
She is filling in because the high school summer girl is having her Sr. pics taken. Different then when Barb was a girl (dinosaurs were around back then). Now they have their hair and makeup done professionally and have several change of clothes for their shoot. And this is in a little rural town!
I think we missed something. Who made the quilt? Was it Wookie’s mom?

Oh, The guy and the dog in the photo yesterday. Enough money has been raised for that dog to have laser surgery for his arthritis. I have never heard of this before, but I sure hope it helps the dog.

43 degrees. I have been wearing sweatshirts, sweaters and long-sleeved tops for three weeks now and wearing jackets outside. Boooo
Saw lots of bunnies at the fair and took tons of photos of them so I am good for my bunny fixation in the months ahead. Fortunately my time was limited so I wasn’t suckered into buying a lot of products being demonstrated in the ‘commercial’ building: I came away with only 2 massage pillows, a cleaning product and a beauty product.

Debbie LM noted on the label that it was paper pieced. It is also hand quilted. The photo was taken with a cell phone and I don’t have very good resolution on it so a detail is fuzzy. Sorry I didn’t bring my camera down to the Cities.
I think this was a published pattern several years ago so you might be able to look it up if Debbie can give us the name.

A long long time ago when the world was young there was a Kat named Alice. She was THE KAT. The spirit from which all our kats have a sliver of in their souls.
Alice was sunning herself one day on a huge mountain. She loved the sun. It made her toasty warm and relieved any aches in her muscles. The sun would put Alice to sleep.
One day DOG, a playful spirit who loved to jump and chase balls and frisbees, was playing with WOMAN. She gave the DOG tummies and ear rubs and then threw a frisbee up in the air as far as she could throw.
It went right over the mountain where Alice was taking a nap. DOG jumped as high and as far as possible and found that the sky was a great place to play!
Unfortunately, DOG got between Alice and the sun. This woke up Alice who was not pleased. Lightning bolts came out of Alice’s mesmerizing eyes and singed DOG’s tail. DOG’s tail curled up tight as can be and DOG let off a THUNDEROUS BARK and fell to earth.
The spirt of the DOG remained in the sky as thunderclouds and Alice still loves to singe its tail.
The DOG is now a Pug.

Another project complete – septic tank has been pumped and cleaned, all ready for the new owner. That was 1,000 gallons of you know what! Well, there was some laundry water and dish soap thrown in. Yuck!
Barb told them at the office to not even think about calling her again. She is done, done, done. Next time they are short staffed they need to cal Patricia the Crazy Lady, to answer her own damn phones.
BTW, Barb has never been to IKEA either.

Mom really appreciates all the wonderful comments about the quilt she made – most of all she is really, really happy that Dawsonis happy. Mom says that paper piecing involves creating a design on the computer with the aid of some design software that allows her to print the design on translucent piece of paper (whatever that means-I’m just repeating what she says) and sewing with little stitches along the printed lines with her sewing machine. Then she rips off all the paper when iti is done. Mom said some words Dad wouldn’t let me hear while she was doing that for this quilt. Mom also says that while the direction on how to draft the basic block and construct it was from a book she made up the pattern herself with lots of colored pencils and a BIG piece of paper made of little triangles. Saturday!…Someone here told us on the walk that she might decide to go into the busy-damned-place tomorrow morning really early for a few hours…grump!…She doesn’t want to but they are putting so many demands and stress on everyone before the new software launches that she feels obiligated…wheeze!…But then she remembers her Non-Vacation and has conflicting thoughts on the matter…heh!…I’m hoping she stays home with us tomorrow. We need her here. Beau needs guidance in more ways than Nook….chorkel!

Rio – give your friend this hint from us. The “take and bake” pizza from both Walmart and Costco is not only good, but cheap too! Mama buys a few of them and keeps them in the freezer. When she wants one for dinner, she takes it out about an hour before dinner time to thaw. Then she cooks it directly on the oven rack – no pan. As much as she and Dad dislike frozen pizza, they both really like these

I’m at the laundry mat missing the Olympics and/ or a chance to work on the cabin with AJ. Tenzing has had a rough couple of days which is part of the reason I’m at the laundry mat washing our bedding. Poor bloke got into some grain, or was it gluten.
