Good morning and good luck in the contest to everyone.
I wonder if Barb will allow herself to sleep in today.
8:41 am on August 4th, 2012
Oh…so that’s where that post went. Heh. First three!

Phooey! Only US residents.
Hmmm. “Mom”?

The Awesome Dawson has FOUR posts in a row! Wow. A quadruple turn around worthy of the Olympics!
9:32 am on August 4th, 2012
Good morning! Today is a rest day. Already 82 degrees and very humid. Found an old paperback, have my ugly hat, going to get dressed in my beautiful sexy bathing wear and sit in the pool!
That’s, of course, after all the chores are done. I have done the watering already, cleaned the dog dishes, cleaned the kitchen . . .
10:07 am on August 4th, 2012
Good morning! We here are on vacation! Mom wants us to stay off of our iPaw during vacation, so we will only be able to post if she goes away or isn’t looking. Like right now, she is upstairs doing her Saturday morning chores so she can go to the farmers market and get good food for all of us.
Hurray for Barb!!! This is the first day of the rest of your life, Girl!!! (unlike us who are just enjoying the first day of our measly 2-week vacation).
10:14 am on August 4th, 2012

Good morning plunderers from the middle of the steamy mitten. All is well here. We are hunkered down in our cozy apartment and staying cool.
12:16 pm on August 4th, 2012
Good Morning, everybody. Mom came back from her weekend away and got to spend the week from hell at the workplace. We let her sleep in this morning. Actually, Dad got up early and locked us out of the bedroom so we couldn’t wake her up for our breakfast on time. Now to a day of checking the blog, cleaning the house, watching the Olympics and repeat (over and over). Love the weekends when Mom had no plans other that house and us.)
Wose, (BooBear here), Gus seems to be doing much better. I think the new combination of meds seems to be working. The vet told Mom at the last visit that it wouldn’t be long but I bet she would be surprised if she were to see him now. His breathing is much less labored (still not normal, though) and his appetite is good. He doesn’t appear as bony either so we think he is gaining a little weight back. And his coat is super glossy. The power of the quilts and Plunderer prayers are indeed magic.
12:21 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio, In answer to your question of last night. I think I would qualify.
About those trampoline athletes… Didn’t you see them yesterday?
They bounced about 20 feet high and then did flips and stuff. I was in awe.
12:49 pm on August 4th, 2012
Trampoline!… I must have missed those guys during my extended napping times…grunt!…My friend feels cheated because she has to be at the busy-damned-place during the Olympics…sniff!…I say just don’t go into the busy-place any more. Stay home with me and then we can do whatever we want to do…heh!heh!
2:00 pm on August 4th, 2012
Good afternoon!
Just got back from a keratin wonderfluffing. Now instead of Brillo on my head, it is nice and silky, and straight!!!!!
Barb, I hope you are enjoying your first day of leisure!
BooBear, I am so glad to hear Gus is doing better! I worry about all the four-leggeds on this here blog. Yes, the Plunderer Power is very strong indeed.
2:04 pm on August 4th, 2012
Dawson, I entered the ARC contest. If I win, I send you the copy!
XOXOXO,
Wose

2:10 pm on August 4th, 2012
Hi everyone. Yesterday was stressful due to a lot of mortgage b.s. problems and the appraisal did not come back yet on the new house. Deadline was yesterday so Barb and her loan officer were pi**ed.
And we love Barb’s kids but honestly sometimes they drive her over the edge. She has been saying for two weeks “Are you sure the 25th is going to work?” Yes, yes, yes. Then yesterday Jessica calls and says, You are going to kill us but can we change the moving day? Seems the whole group of them forgot about the Jimmy Buffett concert on the 25th!!!!! They have spent hundreds for tickets, but who remembered!
Barb said absolutely she can not move later than the 25th, as she is already staying 10 days past closing. Now we are scrambling around to see if we can get help hired on the 24th, get the truck, get a reservation at the Bed and Biscuit for moi for overnight. The kids think it is no big deal, but Barb is not one to deal well with this kind of up in the air stuff.
2:16 pm on August 4th, 2012
Bluecat up top!
B&M: Now, I really wished we lived closer. I would send AJ over there with the directive to lift move any and all heavy objects.
I entered the contest!
2:17 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb!…I told you moving sucks!…snort!…Didn’t I tell you a long time ago? Moving sucks. And I still can’t find my big plant…grunt!…The one that was in the living room, always there when I needed it…wheeze!…Don’t lose your big plant Barb, whatever happens.
2:20 pm on August 4th, 2012
Chilis!…My friend just finished roasting tons of chili peppers…snort!….The whole house smells like a pot full of fire. Then she made banana bread using Stover’s most excellant recipe. It is baking right now!…heh!
Project!…Now she is working on that project that Barb gave her the idea for…heh!…Busy!busy!busy!…wheeze!
2:23 pm on August 4th, 2012
Maggie, dejavu on the moving and mortgage problems. Mom and Dad had all the above. The mortgage company dropped the ball on the final round of paperwork and they were scrambling because we closed on the sale of the old house and purchase of the new house all on the same day. They then had til midnight the next day to move. We had movers and then cleaners coming and the cats had to be moved first. Talk about freaked. Double digit number of cats all crated and moved. Thank Kat the move was only a 15 minute drive across the lake and into the country. And of course, during the short drive, one of the old fellows had to pee, poop and throw up in his carrier…which he was sharing with 2 other cats. They were not happy! At least you will be snug in a bed and biscuit during the chaos.

2:23 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb did get a big plant from the office (sans Pat), but since I am a girl dog, I don’t have any plans for it. Maybe I could send it to you.
Yes moving sucks, and so does the big storm with “damaging winds” that will be arriving shortly. We already put the patio furniture away. Barb is nervous. Did I ever tell you that she is a worrier?
Gus-Gus, glad you are feeling better. Maybe that Lion T. Feline helped a bit.
Kim and her husband are coming over in a few to load up the rest of the hay. Hopefully they will beat the storm. BBL
2:28 pm on August 4th, 2012
Pool time was great. The pool is COLD. Zoë caught me though. I was brushing the walls of the pool. I fessed up! I had also done some vacuuming. It was the only way to stay warm there at the end. Breeze came up and heard some thunder. Came in and looked at the radar and a storm formed out of nowhere to our north. Right now it’s dancing around up there, Not sure if it’s going to make it south or not.
Gus! Glad to hear your are looking good.
3:04 pm on August 4th, 2012
Don’t lose your big plant—these are words to live by for everyone.
AJ and I are busy today building a little cabin. No, not Melanie’s river cabin and not even my writing cabin. What was to be my writing cabin will be a cabin we are renting to a musher who needs a place to train dogs from this season. She and AJ ran in the 2011 iditarod together, and, if I’m not mistaken, she let him use her cell phone to call me last year when he received word of Rory. She was a race official last year. She plans to move in by the end of this month. Gulp!
Barb: I am hoping things go more smoothly for the rest of the move.
3:12 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rebecca: Will the cabin you and AJ are building have a wood-burning stove? (I’m just curious about the heating of the cabin.)
3:14 pm on August 4th, 2012
Melanie: I forgot to say yesterday that I think I would be seasick in your dream cabin but it is very different…great for alone time.
3:26 pm on August 4th, 2012
Thanks for all the encouraging words. It is dark as nightfall here, so we may be signing off for a while. Could be 50-70 mph winds. That would not be a good thing, let me tell you.
Rebecca, We would welcome the giant’s help. Maybe Wolfie could blurr him over.
Double digit kats! Guess we have it easy here. We just had double digit chickens!
Be back after the storm unless we lose power….
3:34 pm on August 4th, 2012
BStover: We will put a wood burning stove in it. It is how we heat our house as well. We are on the look out for a good used wood stove or one on sale. It will be a rustic cabin.
B&M: it might be a joint effort to blur AJ to you. Wolfie, Luna and perhaps the Newfs if they are available.
3:51 pm on August 4th, 2012
I have entered the contest.
Barb, It will all work out, but I wish some of us could be there to help you. I would supervise and drive the big truck.
Glad Gus is doing well!
Wolfie? How is Gus Puppy doing?
3:59 pm on August 4th, 2012
Renter!…Oh no! Rebecca is going to be a Landlord just like my friend…snort!…Its okay as long as everyone does exactly what my friend wants, which hardly ever happens…heh!heh!
4:00 pm on August 4th, 2012
Sorry about all the bumps in the road, B&M. Moving never goes smoothly. Something always gets broken, or someone gets hurt. (I speak from experience!)
Rio, I have so little time to read, by the time I finish the ARC, you will be reading it on your Kindle.
5:06 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb – Mama sends encouraging thoughts. That kind of up in the air stuff drives her wild too – which is kind of funny cause that’s how our Dad lives his life. Guess its proof that opposites attract.
And yes – it will all work out. And in a couple of months, when you are all settled into your lovely new house, and all the boxes are unpacked, and the magic garden is growing wonderful things again, this will all be a distant memory.
But for right now, go hit something with a pillow, have a cup of tea and a good cussing session, and you will feel so much better.
Hope the storm passes you by – literally and figuratively.
5:38 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb!…Would it make you feel better if I posted a photo of the project you inspired my friend to make?…snort!…She said I cannot post any of the new projects out here – so I will be taking my life in your hands if I do this for you…grunt!
5:51 pm on August 4th, 2012
Pool Party! Come on down!
5:58 pm on August 4th, 2012
Trigger? Is there like a deck I can watch the pool party from?
6:01 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio, Please, pretty please post it!
Well we dodged a big bullet. Big storms, high, damaging winds and some hail past us by, hitting the counties just to the south of us all across the state. We got mild wind, and a good soaking rain, but no damage, Thank Dog (and Kat, too).
We are now working on the 24th to see if that will work for everyone, but then NO MORE CHANGES!
Hey, how about that Michael Phelps!
6:14 pm on August 4th, 2012
Chicken Lady Barb: Please check your SDD.
6:18 pm on August 4th, 2012
I went to Sam’s today and did a lot to help prepare for a big dinner party tomorrow. Now I’m at my friends house to take care of Lucy and her sister dog. Then back to Sam’s after the dogs have their eggs for breakfast. I’m dancing as fast as I can.
6:20 pm on August 4th, 2012
here is something very interesting about memory.

6:22 pm on August 4th, 2012
Flowers!…These are the flowers that Barb was talking about one day…snort!…Who can guess what they are?…wheeze!…Hurry because I hear my friend coming downstairs…gulp!
6:36 pm on August 4th, 2012
Siber-H: No need to get wet. You can sip a cool drink from the cabana. Lots of yummers to nibble on too.
Beautiful flower, friend Rio, is it edible?
Maggie: Thank Dog the storms passed you by! May the weather gods be looking out for you and all aspects of the big move go smoothly.
Staff: I’ll checkout that memory thingy later…if I can remember.
6:50 pm on August 4th, 2012
Trigger, I wondered where the Pack had gone to. It started raining here and we lost the satellite signal for awhile. Back now. The Pack is starting to show up again wet from our pool Trigger’s pool and the rain they blurred through.
Remember when Patsy and I went forth on another quest to find “IT”.
A couple of pictures. Here’s the gravestone (with photoshopping to make it spooky).
6:52 pm on August 4th, 2012
And this is what Patsy did for the whole time we were in the graveyard.
She looked for food.
7:12 pm on August 4th, 2012
Hey, y’all! Mom just got home from work, so I finally got to enter the contest! Good luck to all y’all, but especially to me!!!
7:16 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio: Forget-me-nots?
What!? Wose! We weely weely wuv you!
7:19 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb- glad you missed out on the big storm. We missed a big one too. There was horrific lightening just a few towns over. Hit the school and burned it to the ground. And yet, we didn’t even have a raindrop.
Weird weather for sure.
7:23 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio, those flowers are gorgeous! I love their blue color! The only flower I can identify with any authority is the rose. What kind of flower is that? Does Beau water it? 🙂
7:25 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb and Maggie: Aaargh! I would be pulling my hair out…but the man of the house is like T&G’s dad. He says, “everything always works out for me”, and somehow it does. (Could it be because someone is behind him with a bagful of goodies for every possible contingency?) Got your back, darling!
What flower is that?
7:42 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio, Your friend’s work is beautiful as always. Thank you for sharing – hope you don’t get in trouble. The colors are gorgeous.
Remember those barn swallows that Barb was worried about? Well, they finally fledged yesterday, but they keep going back to the nest again. Who knew they did that?
7:44 pm on August 4th, 2012
Melanie: Heh, heh. If Franklin and the Pack disappear you know where they have gone.
Rio: If only you could leave your yard…perhaps Beau could chauffeur you in the Beausmobile?
7:45 pm on August 4th, 2012
Melanie, Do you know the story that goes with the gravestone?
Rio, Those are very pretty blue flowers, but I don’t know what they are.
7:55 pm on August 4th, 2012
Siber-H, there are many rumors that go with the gravestone. Buried there could be . . a witch, a horror (?), a baby that died, and some others.
Must be crowed in there.
There is a young woman who said that her grandfather remembered when there was no word on the stone until about 25 years ago.
7:59 pm on August 4th, 2012
Failed!…Oh no! Youse guys don’t know what these flowers are called??…wheeze!…This means my friend has failed miserably at recreating them…grunt!
8:11 pm on August 4th, 2012
hmmm When was Stephen King’s book, “IT”, published?
Rio, You can look at this another way…instead of your friend failing, how about all of us failing to know our different flowers.
8:18 pm on August 4th, 2012
I think the flowers are forget-me-nots.
8:22 pm on August 4th, 2012
((((sigh!))))
8:22 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio: I don’t know what the flowers are called, but the name is on the tip of my tongue…cough.
Siber-H: It was published in 1987 I believe.
Melanie: Spooky times. You and Agent Patsy are the brave ones.
8:25 pm on August 4th, 2012
Unbelievable!…Even Barb does not know what they are…grunt!…My friend even picked some real leaves off the flower so she would get that part right…((((sigh))))
8:26 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio: Well, I don’t know my flowers very well. Forget-me-nots are blue with a nice yellow (not orange)center and I don’t think there is any white so, okay, not forget-me-nots. What flowers are blue with white and orange? Staff might know.
8:30 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio – we know. We know. Pick us!
They are PAPER flowers!
See- told ya we knew.
giggle
8:38 pm on August 4th, 2012
Kats are so smart.
8:41 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio! Your friend’s flowers do not have to be a certain kind of flower. They are very pretty just like they are without a name.
So, “It” was published in 1987. There is the twenty five years.
Don’t you guys just love a mystery…the gravestone and the flowers.
8:44 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio – Columbine?
Bella – I’m glad you saw me up top. Mom was out of town and anyway, she’s never seen me up top.
8:46 pm on August 4th, 2012
Very good Siber-H. I’m not going to read the book and then go visit it again. My imagination is too vivid.
Riö. You have me stumped. The closest thing I can come with is called “Lady Bird’s Centaury”. Pretty . . . TTFN
8:49 pm on August 4th, 2012
Yes Bluecat! Columbine!
8:51 pm on August 4th, 2012
Right Rio?
9:01 pm on August 4th, 2012
Barb mentioned Columbine, but she was talking about the school. Also, Columbine is the state flower of Colorado, right?
9:14 pm on August 4th, 2012
BluKat!….Bless you! Yes!…heh!…You other guys…phhhhfffattt!
9:36 pm on August 4th, 2012

9:40 pm on August 4th, 2012
Sorry I didn’t get here yesterday with the Cake of the Day. This one is sent out to Staff.

9:43 pm on August 4th, 2012
Okay!…One more chance before we have to go for our walk…sniff!…Can you guys tell what these characters are?…heh!…Oh, and what kind of flower is in the picture this time?…grunt!
9:44 pm on August 4th, 2012
Cake!…I bet if you gave Staff that cake she would not eat it…heh!…She would put it with her collection…snorkel!
9:47 pm on August 4th, 2012

Right Siber, we see all the same things. We are off to bed. Tiring day. See you tomorrow.
10:20 pm on August 4th, 2012
Off to bed here with two adorable dogs – so happy.
10:26 pm on August 4th, 2012
MollysMom!…At first when I read your post above I thought when you said two adorables, you meant me and Beau…sniff!…But then I looked over at Beau and knew you meant some other guys…grunt!
10:35 pm on August 4th, 2012
Giants!…AJ and Rebecca are like real Wild Wild West Pioneers, aren’t they?…snort!…Building a cabin from the wood they cut down in their forest…grunt!…I’m pretty impressed to hear they will have it all built and ready for some brave hearted soul to live in through the Alaskan winter…wheeze!
10:41 pm on August 4th, 2012
Where did Lucy and Isabella come from, cuddling up with Aunt Mollypop?
Rio: It’s the blue bird of phhhfffatttyness!
10:44 pm on August 4th, 2012
Dawson!…heh!snort!heh!…good one. By the way, your book will be winging its way to you soon. She forgot to go to the postoffice this morning so it will be sometime next week it gets posted…grunt!
10:48 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio, Is that the Blue Duck of Happiness up there on that card?
We are happy here. The Twins just won their third game in a row. The third one against the Red Sox. Too bad Spence. We are not sorry though. The guys came from behind in the 9th inning to win!
Whoooo HOooooo
They play the Sox in a 4th game tomorrow…good luck to us! We are two games behind the Phillies. It seems like we have been trying to catch them forever.
Mollypops Mom. Are these two new dogs going to be living with you from now on?
10:50 pm on August 4th, 2012
Macy I LOVE my cake! But I would eat it. Snicker. (Unless it is chocolate) I can’t eat chocolate.
Thank you.
10:54 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio: That frog could use a long red tongue with one of those black plastic flies on it. Heh.
Staff: Don’t you want to come up for one day so all us sisters can go have some fun? Turtleman says he will elder sit.
10:55 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rockies!…Are losing…grump!…We are very thankful for the Olympics this summer to give us a break from watching our team lose game after game after game after game after game after game….wheeze!
10:56 pm on August 4th, 2012
Dawson!…That is a most excellant idea…heh!heh!…stay tuned.
11:06 pm on August 4th, 2012
Duck!…hmmmm!…My friend may have to try and work on her depiction of birdies…heh!heh!
Track! …And Field – Womens – Nigeria – Her hair is cracking us up. Please tell me she doesn’t really think that is stylish…chorkel!
11:07 pm on August 4th, 2012
Melanie: I love Patsy’s collar and her hair cut.
I’m watching one more race then…to bed. Yawn.
11:17 pm on August 4th, 2012
Hair!…If you ask me, and I know you want to, I think Patsy’s haircut is way more stylish than that Nigerian ladies strange hair-doo…..snort!
11:20 pm on August 4th, 2012
I have been supidly watching the Rockies lose game after game. They are going to lose again tonight.
Staff, we are happy for you and the Twins.
Night All

M
11:49 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio: We are saving the trees/logs for our firewood. It will be a frame cabin. We got two walls framed before we got rained out. It went from a constant drizzle to a full down pour—not a good time to find out your jacket is just water resistent and not waterproof. Our goal is get the walls up and the roof framed by the end of this weekend.
We are SOAKED!
11:50 pm on August 4th, 2012
MPM – if we knew you wanted two adorable digs to curl up with, we would have gladly packed the Corgis in your car when you were here. We can still ship them to you, of we can find where Mama hid the packing tape.
11:52 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rebecca!…I really think you need to document the building of this cabin…snort!…Start taking some photos gal! Beginning to the End..heh!…I can’t imagine building a cabin from scratch in one month by two albeit, Giants…wheeze!
11:52 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rio: Your friend’s projects are beautiful! Thank you for risking snout and tail to post the pictures!
11:53 pm on August 4th, 2012
Bella – make sure you dry your hair and put warm, dry socks on. We don’t want you catching cold. And it’s 8 pm. Dontcha think it’s time to call it a day?
11:58 pm on August 4th, 2012
Rebecca!…How do you like the Blue Duck of Happiness?…heh!…All of my friends birds so far look like Ducks…grunt!
12:04 am on August 5th, 2012
Duck!…After reading that SiberH has been watching game after game of the Rockies losing instead of the Olympics like we have been doing, someone here thinks he should have the Blue Duck of Happiness to maybe cheer him up…sniff!…My friend says she needs to add the tongue as per Dawsons idea…snort!
12:09 am on August 5th, 2012
Rio: If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck…seriously, you’re friend has such a talent!
More to Rio: Great minds think alike. AJ and I always say when we start a project that we should take pictures, but we never do. Today, I took two pictures and plan to take more tomorrow.
T&G: I took a shower to get warm, we got a fire going and my paws are toasty warm in my winter socks. We usually work on projects like this until it gets dark which is a problem during summer in Alaska. When we built a cabin for Handler Jeremy we did so after work each night. We parked the car in front of the would be cabin, turn on the high beams and get to work.
12:12 am on August 5th, 2012
Youse guys are amazing- that’s for sure.
But for us, it’s after midnight, so we will say g’night all.
12:14 am on August 5th, 2012
