Shamus: Bookstore Dog
“Here’s a whole category of the nation within that we’ve totally ignored,” Spence says. “Dogs who work in bookstores. Here is Shamus, from Once Upon A Crime in Minneapolis.”
http://www.onceuponacrimebooks.com/
“Aptly named,” says Admin.
“Apparently he’s a first-rate greeter,” Spence says. “Especially if he detects incoming food.”
“Maybe we can get other bookstore dogs to send in their pics,” Admin says.
“Good idea,” says Spence. “Send in those photos, bookstore people. Just upload them to the Friends of Chet gallery. We’ll make a post featuring every one.”
Today: Shamus at work.
Welcome Raksh the coydog, and Lola.

Good morning Shamus and everyone. There was a pix awhile back of a really good looking Bernese Mountain Dog that was at a library. I think he worked there. Maybe he could write in. He is a FOC.
Thanks for the Melanie update yesterday. Glad she is having fun. She deserves it.
8:39 am on February 25th, 2012
Good morning, Barb and Maggie, Chet, Spence, and Admin,
We all had a very restless night, thanks to the Pipsqueak. She couldn’t get comfortable. Her diarrhea seems to have left, but now she was sick in her belly. She threw up, and then went outside and started eating grass to throw up some more. The worst part is that her tummy was making so many very loud gurgling noises. Mom and Pop were worried; we were just annoyed. They finally gave her half a Maalox tablet.
We love the idea of bookstore doggies so much that we’re thinking of applying for the job. Mom says the idea of a Sibe being hired by a bookstore is ludicrous…is that a good thing?
8:41 am on February 25th, 2012
Good Morning Spence, Admin, Barb and Magpie & O.Howlers (sorry about the Pipsqueak – get better soon)
Shamus what a fine greeter you are!
Good to see our kind doing this work instead of kats.
Strong winds here. Don’t know how long we’ll be up and running.
8:52 am on February 25th, 2012
Good morning dear plunderers. Got a little snow here in the middle of the mitten. I am enjoying watching other people scrape and move it around. Me? I’m drowsing on the couch and mom is drinking coffee.
Here’s a picture of me last weekend when I’m all drugged up. And no, I don’t remember anything about last weekend. Mom says I was riding inside the car.
9:01 am on February 25th, 2012
Welcome Shamus. Love the black eye!
Good morning all.
9:13 am on February 25th, 2012
Jasper rides inside!
Bella: Heh, heh…Beau a stowaway? Do tell!
9:22 am on February 25th, 2012
We just bought the book about Dewey the Library Cat, which is fun and quick to read. Dewey is the cat that lived in the Spencer, Ia. library for about 19 years. Cats are an easier fit to live full time in a library, or book store for obvious reasons.
We just read a little article about Kyle Dyer, the Denver newcaster who was bitten by Max, live on tv. She says she holds no ill will towards Max, and it was just a fluke, with her not reading the signs that he was feeling threatened. She had 70 stitches and had her mouth sewn shut briefly to heal faster. She looks pretty goood, considering.
9:27 am on February 25th, 2012
Ha ha ha, Jasper rides inside! We love it. Jasper should have bitten Kyle instead of Max. That would have been funny.
Segueing over to Cocker Spanies, I always thought they were just temperamental, but evidently they really do have a genetic problem called “rage syndrone”. More likely to be in golden or black spaniels, and they really do flip out, eye glaze over, and they attack without provacation. It shows up more in show lines, imagine that.
9:46 am on February 25th, 2012
My dad says that when he was growing up, three of his aunts had cocker spaniels. They were all golden. He didn’t like to go to any of their houses because they had “mean dogs”.
10:24 am on February 25th, 2012
Jasper rides inside! Hah! Love it!
10:58 am on February 25th, 2012
Fellow Sibers, Mom says we can forget about working in bookstores…what if a customer held the front door open a little too long. We would be on one way to Alaska in a heartbeat.
Jasper, That is a cute photo.
Beau, Way to go, dude!
We have heard of Rage Syndrome in Springer Spaniels, but not Cocker Spaniels. Makes sense it would show up in Cockers, though. Sometimes it can be treated with anti-seizure meds and sometimes NOT.
Kat, Hope you feel better soon.
11:03 am on February 25th, 2012
It was someone I ate, Siber. 🙂
11:14 am on February 25th, 2012
Yes, Well, Kat…mom says that is not one of our finer traits.
Be careful, my friend at the dog park, Molly, the Husky, ended up at the vet clinic for several days because of someone she ate.
11:24 am on February 25th, 2012
Jasper – You poor thing. You don’t look very Jazzy in that picture. Your ears are drooping. I hope your mouth feels fine now.
11:26 am on February 25th, 2012
Welcome to Shamus the bookstore dog. I’m sure I’ve seen other bookstore dogs in Friends of Chet.
Welcome to FOC Lola: I’m glad you don’t have any other “favorite” balls – they wouldn’t fit in your mouth!
Welcome to Raksh, a coydog. A combination of a Husky and a coyote! Forgive me for thinking that you would be hard to handle. Are you?
Beau: Good job sneaking onto the Trail with us. Won’t Rio be
madsurprised!Kat: Sorry about your tummy. Feel better soon
11:29 am on February 25th, 2012
Jasper: You really don’t look well in that picture. I didn’t recognize you. I hope all is well now and you are getting very yummy food to eat.
11:29 am on February 25th, 2012
Barb&Magpie and SnowBella: Your packages are at the Post Office for delivery today.
11:39 am on February 25th, 2012
Greetings!
Good job, Beau. heh heh. You and Rio’s friend have a checkpoint in your honor too. What does Rio think about that?
Oh, and Rio, what about the weather in April in your neck of the woods?
Oh, Kat, I’m sorry you are not your tip-top self. Hope the rest of the Howlers aare taking good care of you.
Awww, Jasper…
B&M: I loved the book about Dewey! And I do remember that FOC who works in the library.
Tyb: Don’t you do library duty? You look awful handsome with your reading glasses on!
Melanie: hope you are having the time of your life, girl!
B: Thanks for the clarification.
Shamus is a great looking library dog!
11:48 am on February 25th, 2012
This one is for Siber-H….I live a little over a mile down this road. Come visit when you get a chance (aka escape):
12:05 pm on February 25th, 2012
Rose,
I have done some library duty, but more often I go into a school to have youngsters
read to me. There are lots of library therapy dogs. Young people who are reticent to read to another person for fear of making a mistake and appearing foolish will sit and read to a dog with no hesitation. I’ve had many kids read “Living the Good Life” to me when I hang out at the toy store.
12:18 pm on February 25th, 2012
C.Harris, can we come too? Pretty please?
12:22 pm on February 25th, 2012
TYB: Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to reading Blou’s book!
Barb&Magpie: We liked the story of Dewey the Library Cat too, even though at times had to make sure the tissue was handy.
All this talk of Mad-Dog-Cocker-Spaniels. Nana says never in a million years would she ever have thought those sweet looking guys would have such mean reputations. Obviously, she hasn’t had much experience with that breed.
C.Harris: That is a beautiful, beautiful scene. A winter wonderland.
12:24 pm on February 25th, 2012
C.Harris, Thanks, That is beautiful!! Woo Woo
Fellow Sibers, wouldn’t we have a blast there!
(whispering) Maybe we should start planning the Great Escape.
12:30 pm on February 25th, 2012
Everybody’s welcome! I’m always inviting my KY relatives to visit but do they come–noooo. And thank you Rio for walking me through posting my first photo. More to come.
12:39 pm on February 25th, 2012
Bear, Rage Syndrome isn’t really a “mean” dog. The latest mom read on it is that the vets are thinking it is a type of behavorial seizure.
I have had one behavorial seizure in my life, but it wasn’t Rage Syndrome. My seizure disorder, though, has apparently just faded away. I don’t have them anymore.
1:06 pm on February 25th, 2012
Thank you Siber-H for explaining this to me.
1:24 pm on February 25th, 2012
Wow, I have never gone to Shamus’s Bookstore although it is only about 1 1/2 miles from our house. Staff always takes us to Uncle Edgars. Now I know why. She says she is going to go to Shamus’s bookstore today now that she knows he works there. She is not taking us Kats and we don’t care. Sniff. Not at all!
Hmmmm. Staff is wondering if she should make herself a ChettheDog ID tag? She doesn’t have one yet since Spence never ever comes over this far from the coast.
Just in case you were wondering Spence, being a man, that was a HINT. hint hint hint.
Staff finds it useful to really HINT loudly with Mr. Staff. Maybe it will work with Spence too.
1:40 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff, We will anxiously await your report. That looks like a great store. Barb visited a lovely indy book store at the Farrington House in North Carolina. It was wonderful!
Looks like the Cocker Spaniel is probably out. They are now reseraching the Sussex Spaniel. Stump, who won at Westminster a couple of years ago, is a Sussex. Don’t know anything about them, but they look friendly and cute.
1:42 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff: Definitely make yourself an ID tag. Let us know about your visit.
1:44 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff – I don’t know why, but Mom is laughing out-loud.
Hi, Everybody. I’m shedding early this year and so is the horse. Anybody else?
2:04 pm on February 25th, 2012
C.Harris: That is beautiful…if only it didn’t get so cold.
Staff: I heard that “HINT” all the way up here in Canada.
2:05 pm on February 25th, 2012
Bluecat: I’m not shedding. The team shouldn’t start shedding for a while, yet.
I bet and hope Melanie is having a good time.
2:19 pm on February 25th, 2012
Bluecat,
We huskies are shedding already. Dima Has been shedding all winter long. Shiek is shedding too. Big time.
2:27 pm on February 25th, 2012
Once, Spence starts traveling west to take Staff’s gentle hint, he might as well continue on a bit in and a northwest direction until he sees a certain dog kennel.
2:43 pm on February 25th, 2012
Greetings Plunderers, near and far.
CHarris – that is exactly how we love to see snow – in a beautiful picture, from far far away.
Barb and Maggie – Sussex Spanials are lovely, but be careful about hip or back problems. Clumber Spanials are adorable too – their name comes from their founder, but we think it is a lovely word to describe these sweet, cuddlebugs.
Kat – hope you are feeling better. Tupper has been having “issues” lately too. She gets terribly embarrassed. Last night was the first time we all understood the true benefit to having a leather sofa……
Melanie is having a lovely time. She has the house all to herself right now, and she is enjoying her time alone to rest up for the big shower tomorrow. She is getting a kick out of some of the young women involved in the wedding – she says that now she really understands what “jersey girls” means. Apparently it has something to do with being overly concerned with pedicures and big hair. She is very glad that FOTAS is NOT a typical jersey girl.
Shedding you ask? Tupper is the Ultimate Shedder! It is very funny to watch her walk away from you – she starts out looking well groomed, and by the time she gets across the floor, she has “cotton balls” sticking out of her pantaloons. The Kats seem to think this gives them license to swat the puffy white shed clumps off her butt. Tupper fails to see the humor in this.
2:51 pm on February 25th, 2012
We signed up for the Iditarod boards today.
3:18 pm on February 25th, 2012
Yep, Bluecat…many are shedding around here, but I am not yet.
WOO WOO Fellow Sibers, See you on the boards!!
Staff, Tell Shamus “Hi” from all of us.
There is a nice dog that works in the shop where we take sick computers.
3:23 pm on February 25th, 2012
Bluecat,
Mom whispered to us that a new horse may be arriving here in the near future!
4:03 pm on February 25th, 2012
Good grief! Is big hair back?
4:08 pm on February 25th, 2012
Downstairs!… snort!….We are downstairs – where I like to be the most when my friend is home…sniff!…She is working on a project that someone ordered. Apparently, she has to use the colors they want…grunt!…Not the colors she would normally use but she will plunder through…heh!
Rage!….Syndrome?…sniff!…Maybe Beau has a touch of that. Because sometimes he growls and acts like he is going for a finger or two with no provocation…grump!…His eyes get all wonky like he doesn’t recognize anyone…sniff!… Although, it doesn’t happen nearly as often as it did in the first two months…gruffle!…He hasn’t really biten anyone since the Great Iron-Pug Harness Standoff. And he better not or he will be gone gone gone…grunt!…So says her mother anyways…heh!heh!
4:34 pm on February 25th, 2012
Photo!…Hey, C.Harris is a fast-study…snort!…She is already posting photos on this here blog…chuffle!…SiberH can thank me for that! Now he will get all the snowy cold photo’s he can handle…heh!
SiberH!…Speaking of Alaska, you really should try and watch that Whale Watching episode of An Idiot Abroad…heh!…Beautiful snowy scenery!
5:05 pm on February 25th, 2012
Good job C.Harris!
5:07 pm on February 25th, 2012
I do thank you, Rio. C.Harris posted a beautiful photo. That is Paradise!
I will try to find the Whale Watching episode of an Idiot Abroad, plus the Alaska one online. We watched one where he took the train through Siberia. It was funny.
5:30 pm on February 25th, 2012
AJ is out on the trail for one of the final training runs before the race. One week until game day.
5:39 pm on February 25th, 2012
Tyb: Thanks for sharing your story.
Tupper and Kat: Hope you are feeling better soon.
C. Harris: That was a lovely picture. Maybe the Sibers can blur me over there with them. We had a few snowflakes, but the wind has been blowing!
Back to see “The Artist” today. I really hope every Oscar this film is nominated for, wins!
5:52 pm on February 25th, 2012
All this talk of snow is making me cold.

Oops…that’s supposed to be “happiness”
…..dam iPaw.
6:03 pm on February 25th, 2012
Fellow plunderers,
We went to the Once Upon A Crime bookstore. It is small and dim and it is Packed To The Gills with books. It gives you the feeling that you are in some book hoarders private library. I managed to find a few books I had been thinking about buying including the newest David Rosenfelt, One Dog Night and the most recent Lisa Lutz book, Document 5, Trail of the Spellmans.
Mr.Staff and I wore out name tags and Gary said right away that Chet had posted Shamus’s photo today. We claimed to know that and asked after Shamus but he was out on a play date and not working this weekend. …sob… You know that means we will have to go back.
Although the regular store is small it has an annex. You are escorted out the back door into a long grey hallway. (Not dark and grey but a bright light grey color.) You get to go past a few doors and get unlocked into another door that is full full full of books. I got to slip into the nooks and crannies and found several there that I HAD to have. There were more that I was interested in (Vintage Sax Romer) but I couldn’t buy them all the first time. I had to leave a few for our next visit.
Gary told us how he decided to get a dog. He was reading the first Chet and Bernie and they, wife Pat and he, decided that they wanted a dog. They had worried that they were too busy to be able to have one, but after reading the book decided that it was what they wanted to do. He told Spence’s publicist about it and she is the one who told Spence. So he sent in the picture above. Here is a picture from the store today. It was as close as I could get to a picture of Shamus.
your reporter, Staff

PS, I have no idea what the Norwegian Explorers group is. Maybe Shamus will post and tell us.
6:09 pm on February 25th, 2012
Masquers: I am laughing so hard at your post, I’m crying…
Staff: Sorry you missed Shamus, but the bookstore sounds great!
6:31 pm on February 25th, 2012
Report!….Nice report Staff!…snort! ….How very convenient that the exact same bookstore that Spencer and Admin were talking about this morning…heh!…Its probably a good thing he was out for the day because he never would have let you and Mr. Staff in the store smelling like Alice and AbbyTheKat….chorkel!
6:31 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff: Excellent report. The Norwegian Explorers of Minnesota is a scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars of New York, dedicated to the study and appreciation of Sherlock Holmes.
It’s great you went there on the day Shamus’s picture was posted. It shows the Chet the Dog Plunderers have reach. Maybe that book store can talk Spencer into coming to Minneapolis.
6:33 pm on February 25th, 2012
Thank you Staff.
6:35 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff – thanks, reporter on the scene.
Howlers – Exciting news. A new horse is as good as a new Kat. Details and a picture when you can.
Speaking of pictures, is it time for a new one of Pearl?
Thinking of AJ and the team, out and about…
6:40 pm on February 25th, 2012
Great Report, Staff, Thank You!
That is a really cute photo of Shamus and the sign. Mom says we need a sign like that in our house.
6:55 pm on February 25th, 2012
Enjoyed your report, Staff. Thank you. My favorite places to get lost are book stores and hardware stores.
6:58 pm on February 25th, 2012
Masquers: You have the best seat in the house!
O.Howlers: Yes…what BlueCat said.
The Jr. Iditarod is running now there are six boys, 5 girls and 11 packs of dogs.
7:04 pm on February 25th, 2012
Junior!….Iditarod?…snort!…How long is the race and can we track it on the website?….grunt!
7:37 pm on February 25th, 2012
Rio, The Jr. Iditarod is around 150 miles long. You can follow it on the Iditarod’s website, but there is no GPS Tracker. They do post the current standings.
7:38 pm on February 25th, 2012
Great recon job, Staff, and followup reporting by Dawson.
Oley, Is the new horse going to be an Arab, too? We would assume it will be, but you never know.
Speaking of Pearl, did we determine that she is a British Golden Retriever?
We started posting earlier, but our computer went off for a bit. Don’t know if we were able to tell C Harris how beautiful her picture was.
8:06 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff – what a great day you had. Hope you get to meet Seamus next time.
Howlers – a new horse? Yippee. Do tell.
Bee – unfortunatly, big hair never really went out in Jersey. There is a definate sub-culture there, untouched by time.
Rio – it is possible that Beau has some type of seizure disorder that is getting better now that he has go9od care from your friend. The unfocused eyes are kind of a clue.
We just read our first #1 Ladies Detective Agency book “Company of Cheerful Ladies”. Melanie tells us that we are WAY behind all of you. We got a big kick out of that book – gonna look for more.
8:06 pm on February 25th, 2012
Mileage!…One hundred and fifty miles is still a very very long way….snort!… Heck, I bet the Brutal Walk isn’t quite that far, but close dammit!…sniff!…One day those little girls we read about yesterday will probably be in the Junior Iditarod…snorkel!
8:10 pm on February 25th, 2012
Ladies!… Oh Stinky Mama! You have to start at the Very Beginning with the #1 Ladies Detective Agency….heh!… Small nuances in each book are built upon in the next and the next…snorkel!….We here love those books so much. I think we have just a few more to read before we catch up to the Author…wheeze!
8:24 pm on February 25th, 2012
Shamus looks like he might be a Border Collie mix. Any other ideas?
Does Melanie come back Monday?
8:32 pm on February 25th, 2012
Rio – we have a confession to make – we get almost all of our books at second hand stores or tag sales. Sally’s army is a great source, and thats where we found this book. Our local library has lots of mysteries, but they don’t carry some of our favorites, like the Charming Mr.Abramson or even Spencer Quinn. So, unless we go down there with a list for them to order in, we don’t get much chance to read many of the books you all talk about. But, we will go see if the library has these, and if not, we will ask them to start ordering them in.
8:37 pm on February 25th, 2012
Although the Minnesotans on the blog probably already know this, there is a terrific mystery writer from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area named Larry Millett who has written several mystery books about Sherlock Holmes’ adventures in Minnesota and a local barkeep/amateur detective named Shadwell Raferty who teams up with him and Watson. Thie books are extremely well written, with good plotting and a lot of local history and color mixed in. Some of the books even have extensive footnotes (penned, as my dad recalls, by Watson). The footnotes are hilarious — B., I think you in particular would love the footnotes.
As to Uncle Edgar’s, my dad was there once when he was in Minneapolis for a Georgetown basketball game a few years back. He thought it was terrific and he and mom now read the Uncle Edgar’s quarterly newsletter on upcoming mysteries quite religiously. (And extra bonus points for where the name Uncle Edgar comes from.). My dad says it is one of his three favoritemost mystery bookstores (recognizing that the numbers are dropping precipitously), the other two being the Mysterious Book Store in NYC (Otto Penzler’s, which he thinks is now closed) and Murder, Inc. in London. Wookie
8:58 pm on February 25th, 2012
Thanks Wookie. I’ll check out Millett.
8:59 pm on February 25th, 2012
Wookie: I think Staff will know where Uncle Edgar’s name comes from. This former Minnesotan has never read Larry Millett so I will put him on my list of books to look for while I’m in the big city. Thanks for the tip.
I’m off gamboling tonight.
9:29 pm on February 25th, 2012
Dawson: You just answered our question about The Norwegian Explorers. Now, that sounds like a fun group!
Staff: Excellent report of the bookstore and picture of (the picture of) Shamus. He kind of looks like old Spuds McKenzie with that one black eye. Heh. Except, of course, he’s not an English Bull Terrier
Once Upon a Crime Book Store…I love that name!
9:48 pm on February 25th, 2012
We are very impressed with wookie’s dad. Not everyone has favorite book stores in NYC and London!
Our guess is the Uncle Edgar is Edgar Allan Poe. What do we get if we are right?
9:52 pm on February 25th, 2012
Wookie!…Have you or your Paw ever been to the Tattered Cover here in Colo?…snort!…Just wondering how it compares to all these other great bookstores…sniff!…It is my friends favorite place, although she rarely gets to visit it anymore…wuffle!
9:52 pm on February 25th, 2012
Barb and Maggie. You got it. You’ll have to wait for your prize though. It will arrive shortly. Wookie
10:00 pm on February 25th, 2012
Wow! We are twirling! We hardly ever win anything! We are so excited that we will have to go have a bowl of ice cream to celebrate! Thanks, Wookie!
10:02 pm on February 25th, 2012
Royals: Seamus was the one who didn’t get to ride inside…Shamus is the bookstore dog.
Wookie: Larry Millett’s mysteries sound great for a couple of reasons…the location and the characters. It doesn’t hurt that you say he’s a excellent writer also. We will definitely check into the series.
Otto Penzler’s Mysterious Bookshop in New York is celebrating its 34th year in business. Remember his unique holiday tradition? He would ask several of his mystery writer friends to submit short stories, the only criteria being, that his bookstore was to be made part of the story. He then made copies of this collection of short stories and gave them out as Christmas gifts.
10:07 pm on February 25th, 2012
Masquers – oops – our bad.
10:26 pm on February 25th, 2012
Uncle Edgar’s and Uncle Hugo’s (the science fiction bookstore in the same building) were named for the Edgar and Hugo Awards. The Edgar award was named for Edgar Allen Poe, so it was named for Poe, sort of. The Hugo award is the Sci Fi version of the Edgar.
Gary, at Once Upon a Crime said he was trying to get Spence/Peter to come to his store. That was why the photo of Shamus was sent. So, Spence, take that hint hint hint.
Another cute story is we gave Gary our ChettheDog badges for a souvenir of our visit, and while he was talking I saw him put them in our bag. “Huh” I thought, “He doesn’t want them.” Then when we were half way across the next street he came running after us saying he thought he had put them in our bag by accident.
So he has them after all.
I was printing them on photo paper and didn’t want to waste the paper so I printed 4 on each page. We have spares.
10:27 pm on February 25th, 2012
Bookstores!…Is Tupper and Gilly talking to me about something that I forgot I posted?…heh!heh!
10:27 pm on February 25th, 2012
Masquers. Thanks, that’s good to know. The last time mt dad was in NY, he thought it had closed, but he must have been mistaken. BTW, Penzler published a collection of those short stories in a book and my mom got it for my dad as a Christmas present. It’s quite good. Wookie
10:29 pm on February 25th, 2012
10:32 pm on February 25th, 2012
Dee!…Is for Dawg!…snorkel!…That image has been on the blog for so long that it really should be our stamp….heh!
10:34 pm on February 25th, 2012
And this one is mine. We didn’t let Staff wear her avatar picture because we needed to be on the badge ourselves!

10:35 pm on February 25th, 2012
GA-AH!…Alice!…snort!…Don’t scare me like that!…wheeze!
10:38 pm on February 25th, 2012
Staff wants to know. Is is Sha(h)mus or Sha(y)mus?
Do you know B?
10:39 pm on February 25th, 2012
uh, Sorry Rio I should have warned you.
Heh heh heh.
11:14 pm on February 25th, 2012
The #1 Ladies Detective Agency was a great series produced by the BBC and shown on HBO a few years ago (when we had HBO) It only lasted one season for reasons unbeknownst to us. A shame really. The stories were good and so was the acting. The full episodes are available on Comcast and DVD.
O.Howlers: When is the new member of your equine family due to arrive? Will it be a lovely Arabian mare to keep Shiek company?
btw: Kat how are you feeling? I hope that nasty stomach bug is gone, gone, gone.
Abbie & Alice: Staff did an excellent job on those badges…very professional.
11:18 pm on February 25th, 2012
Dude!….What a tiring day….sniff!… Our latest ‘house-guest’ finally left. Good riddance to that guy. Deaf as a Doornail and older than dirt…grunt!
Books!…I think I remember why Stinky Mama was telling me about her book buying habits…heh!…Because I said she should read the #1 Ladies Detective Agency in order…gruffle!…My dear, would you like my friend to send you some of these books?
