Second Mention of the Teitelbaum Divorce in the Chet and Bernie Series
“Even if the letter’s kosher,” Bernie said, “there’s no way DeLeath did it alone.”
Kosher? I knew all about kosher, a kind of chicken, in fact the best chicken I’d ever tasted, at the celebration dinner after the final stake-out in the Teitelbaum divorce. The Teitelbaum divorce: a nightmare. Mrs. Teitelbaum riding a bulldozer straight through the wall of the garage where Mr. Teitelbaum kept his antique car collection – hard to forget a sight like that. My mind stayed with the memory a little too long, and if Bernie mentioned how chickens were coming into the case I missed it, looking up only in time to see him handing over the plastic bag with the bandanna.

Am I the first?
9:43 am on December 10th, 2012
Macy, with an 85 mph speed limit, that means they’re driving over 90 for sure. Scary!
9:44 am on December 10th, 2012
I am the first.
Macy, We didn’t get any moisture from that storm here, but parts of the state did. It sure did get colder, which is an improvement.
Macy? Do you know yet what Josh Hamilton is going to do? I hope he stays with the Rangers.
Hello Belle
Good Morning All
9:51 am on December 10th, 2012
‘Morning, Little Sam and Siber-H and all.
Bella, the calendar arrived and it’s beautiful. You and AJ and puppies, oh my!!!
Happy two weeks till Christmas Eve, Everybody and Happy Hanukkah to Wookie and family.
9:54 am on December 10th, 2012
Melanie!…Please check your SDD in your own time, but make it quick…grunt!
9:57 am on December 10th, 2012
I wonder why we’re getting posts on the Teitelbaum divorce and if that is somehow going to be in another e-story.
Good morning all.
10:08 am on December 10th, 2012
Stover, I wondered the same thing. There must be a reason for the Teitelbaum divorce posts.
10:18 am on December 10th, 2012
Good morning, all. Wondering about the Teitelbaum Divorce posts here too.
10:30 am on December 10th, 2012
Bluecat: I am glad you like it.
It snowed all through the night so AJ got up early to clear the driveway. He takes it personally each time it snows because our driveway is so long.
Wishing all youse a wonderful day.
10:53 am on December 10th, 2012
Greetings All!
Siber-H: I am waiting for snow too. Something tells me I will have my fill in February.
Rio! You and your friend did a marvelous job on your Christmas tree! Even the presents are wrapped beautifully!
Rebecca: I received my Snowhook package on Friday. I love everything in it! The color calendar is very cool, and now the Prof can’t wait to meet Wyatt! BTW: My round head measurement is 7 3/8 according to the SK sizing instructions.
Maybe you should be Ramblin’ SnowBella instead of me being Ramblin’ Rose. Be safe in your travels and feel better!
10:58 am on December 10th, 2012
Rebecca? Does AJ have a blade in the front of the truck to plow snow?
11:11 am on December 10th, 2012
Hi everyone. Mama got a kick out of the facebookie thing over on the right. We get all the antlers we want to chew – at least we get the parts they cut off when they make something with the antler. Hey – they haven’ty done that in a while. We may have to get after them about that – as OFA mentions – it IS that time of year.
11:18 am on December 10th, 2012
Wose: Wyatt is Tenzing’s son and he, like his pop, is a love.
SiberH: we have a plow on the four-wheeler. Mick, the person not the puppy, beefed up the blow to withstand all the plowing AJ does.
11:29 am on December 10th, 2012
Rebecca, Good. AJ doesn’t have to use Dawson’s method of removing snow. I believe what you Alaskans call a four-wheeler is what we call an ATV here in the lower 48.
11:35 am on December 10th, 2012
SiberH: You are correct, it is the same thing. In the past when the plow has broken, AJ has had to get creative.
11:37 am on December 10th, 2012
Snow, I wish we would get some here. They said we have gone 280 days w/o snow which ties a 1994 record.
Good morning, all!
11:47 am on December 10th, 2012
Siber, we in the east call them 4-wheelers as well. We have a lot of wreckless kids driving those 4-wheelers, and each year there are horrific accidents. We know AJ would not risk his machine like these kids do.
We are prisoners in our house dtoday, so we can’t tell if there have been any deliveries from Snowhook. 🙁
11:51 am on December 10th, 2012
We have gone 0 days without snow! I didn’t stick to the ground but it was still on the roofs? when we got up. Annie wanted to go play on the roof, but was sad to hear that she would have to wait for ground snow.
Siber-H, we were all sad to see Michael Young go, as he has never been with any other team but the Rangers. Josh Hamilton’s star is falling around here and consensus is that it is time for him to move on. Time will tell.
Royals, what do antlers taste like? Do they last longer than bones? Mom wants something for us to chew on that lasts awhile.
Sammie, you are correct, 85 mph translates to 95-100. It is like the autobahn. There are not that many cars on it yet, parts have only been open for a couple of months. Interstate 35, which the toll road parallels is torn up much of the way between Fort Worth and Austin, so the toll road should be getting more traffic soon.
11:59 am on December 10th, 2012
(Whispering) Macy, we just used Mom’s Amazon app to order moose antlers. We’ll let you know how they are. Mums the word.
12:09 pm on December 10th, 2012
Macy – antlers are GREAT! Have you ever managed to be around when a blacksmith was trimming horse hooves? Antlers are kinda like that only harder, depending on how dried out they are. We really like the freshest ones, but those are harder to come by. And since antlers are really only compacted hair, they don’t splinter like some bones.
And we are still without snow here, which is JUST FINE with us! How about snow on Christmas eve, and then have it gone by January 2?
12:10 pm on December 10th, 2012
Hey – have we missed something? Has there been a revelation about the title of the new book, as OFA was hinting?
12:10 pm on December 10th, 2012
Macy, The Rangers fans that live where you do get a whole lot more Rangers’ news than I do, so I will respect their opinions about Josh Hamilton. Me too, I am sad to see Michael Young go, and I didn’t know about his leaving.
Ah, What I could do with a Porshe 911 on that new road in Texas.
12:20 pm on December 10th, 2012
On Yahoo trending news was a headline: “Kim Kardashian’s cat dies”. Had to look at it. Seems Kim’s current boy friend gave her the kitten 2 months ago, but after a few days she realized she was allergic. She gave the cute little white Persian to her “personal assistant”. Now the kitty gets sick and has some sort of fatal virus, so they have it euthanized. Kim tweeted that she was heartbroken and devastated, but at least the kitty was loved during its short life. Gag and Gah! And this is BIG news? Pleeaaasee!
12:29 pm on December 10th, 2012
Melanie: Could you please send me the link to YSAS’ YouTube video about zombies? I want to send it to a friend.

Rebecca!…Please check your SDD…grunt!…Like as soon as you can.
1:37 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio – feaar not – Melanie and Zoe are out doing errands.
And the Postman rang only once, and came empty-handed – waaaaaa!
1:38 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rebecca, we subscribed to your blog, now how do we get the rookie mushers guide?
2:12 pm on December 10th, 2012
Greetings from here in Chevy Chase. Busy few days. On Friday, I got to visit grandpa again. He is doing better, but it will still probably take quite a bit more time before he has completed the rehab program in order to be able to come back home to live.
And then on Saturday, we had our annual Christmas party. A slightly smaller group than in past years, but a great time was had by all. The theme this year was Christmas and Chanukah, and the party fell on the first night of Chanukah. Dad even gave an explanation about Chanukah and what it symbolizes when we sat down for appetizers.
The full menu is below (mom outdid herself again, IMHO):
Holiday Party 2012 Menu:
Maple Carmelized Spicy Cashews
Chopped Chicken Livers
Horseradish & Dill Cured Salmon
Leek and Ginger Matzo Balls in
Lemongrass Consomme
Traditional Brisket
‘Modern’ Brisket
Classic Latkes
Rose Lamb Cole Slaw
Golden & Ruby Beet and Tangerine Salad with Cranberry Dressing
“Hostess Cupcake 2.0”
Marscarpone Lemon Curd 4 Layer Cake
Oak Ridge Reserve Old Vine Zinfandel 2007
A bit of explanation on a couple of the items. Traditional brisket is made in a red wine sauce with onions. Modern brisket is made with a cocoa-coffee mole sauce. Both were yum. And the “Hostess Cupcake 2.0” was a rich chocolate cupcake with a white chocolate mousse filling and bittersweet dark chocolate ganache on top, and with curlecue white icing on top just like they do at the soon to be departed Hostess bakeies.

Dear Computer Doctor – yes, we know the keyboard is full of drool. Sorry. We couldn’t help it. You see, a friend of ours posted a holiday feast menu, and well, there you have it.
Signed,
The Royals and Herbs
2:19 pm on December 10th, 2012
This is the table setting for the party; the table runner down the middle (hard to see clearly in the photo) was quilted by mom.

Wow!…Most of that food I’ve never tasted before…wheeze!
2:20 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wookie: That certainly sounds delish! How was the Zinfandel?
2:21 pm on December 10th, 2012
And since others have posted too, this is a picture of our Christmas tree. (A angel on top is a Madame Alexander doll that my mom’s best friend gave her several years ago.)

B; I’m not old enough to drink wine myself, but I understand it was really spectacular, and really went well the the food. Wookie
2:23 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wookie! Do you have any leftovers for us?
Please, Please say YES.
Rio: Your Christmas Tree down in the Hobbit Den is the Best!
2:24 pm on December 10th, 2012
I second what T & G just said. Could I see the recipe for the beet salad, please?
I am here at the computer by myself. The countertop guys installed the top this morning, and now Eric is here hooking up the sink and hanging the last 3 cabinet doors. Maggie is back in the bath tub, behind the curtain. She will be there till Eric leaves.
2:31 pm on December 10th, 2012
MagPie – One can never be too safe!
2:31 pm on December 10th, 2012
LOVely Trees All.
#1 son bringing over new/rebuilt computer this afternoon. M managed to get this one running temporarily, but it keeps shutting down. He is now taking a nap.
It’s that Time…LUNCH.
BBL (if we can)
2:34 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wookie, Thanks for the menu and photos. I know your guest appreciated and enjoyed the Christmas dinner.
Mom has to go for her annual eye exam now. She may not be good for much when she returns because she won’t be able to see. I am glad she can fix my dinner without needing good vision. She assures me that she can.
2:35 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wookie!…Your tree is HUGE!..,Zowie!…It almost reaches to the ceiling…heh!
2:37 pm on December 10th, 2012
Poor Maggie, I think she is a scaredy kat just like Abbie.
O’Howlers, I was going to post that link also. Heh. It is sure cute.
2:47 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wookie, your tree is beautiful, and your dinner menu tres bien!
2:54 pm on December 10th, 2012
Maggie would face down a charging bull or a snarling raccoon (or a herd of sneering rats), but Eric with his power drill is too much for her!
Josh and Jess decorated their 10 foot Christmas tree, which is 3 times bigger than ours, and then it fell over during the night. Several ornaments were broken and some of the lights didn’t work. Jessica cried and Josh swore.
2:57 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rose, You speak French AND Spanish?
3:02 pm on December 10th, 2012
Stover!…Please check your SDD – sob!..sniff!
3:13 pm on December 10th, 2012
That dinner menu made us drool too. We are dying to try both briskets.
3:14 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: I’ve responded. Stop sobbing.
Wookie: Beautiful table setting and tree. Too bad you couldn’t try the wine.
Maggie: It’s okay. Brandy used to run from the vaccum cleaner (can’t remember how to spell it). Some noises are just too dreadful.
3:19 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wookie!…If I remember correctly, and I usually do, Wookie is more of a Martini connoisseur….chuffle!
3:25 pm on December 10th, 2012
That’s right–Wookie does like martinis. I’m going to have a lovely glass of Chateau Vermont Bordeaux later.
3:36 pm on December 10th, 2012
B&M: I do speak Spanish, and know 1 or 2 phrases in French. When I want to be impressive with French, I use the Google transaltor. ;^)
3:36 pm on December 10th, 2012
I myself love a nice Cosmopolitan.
3:40 pm on December 10th, 2012
Beer!…I like cold beer and hot wings…snort!snort!…Now you’ve all done it! I’m hungry again…grunt!
3:40 pm on December 10th, 2012
It takes forever to have a Honda dealer to make two keys. We only fit through half of our errand list.
Rio and B.Stover, as soon as I can move off the heating pad, I’ll check the mail. The iPaw is connected ti YSAS’s email account.
Trying not to fall asleep, but losing the battle. Wookie? That is an amazing dinner!
Macy, no snow here.
3:45 pm on December 10th, 2012
I haven’t had a Cosmopolitan in a long time.
3:57 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio! I enjoy a cold beer every now and then myself.
4:21 pm on December 10th, 2012
B: We are having our dept. holiday luncheon tomorrow. I may just have a Cosmopolitan tomorrow. I also like mojitos. That will fufill my two drink limit.
4:36 pm on December 10th, 2012
Mojitos!…I’ve heard of those only because I watch Burn Notice and one of the characters always drinks them…heh!heh!…What the heck is in one of those things? Is there any beer in them?…snort!
4:54 pm on December 10th, 2012
I’ve never heard of mojitos. How is it pronounced.
5:04 pm on December 10th, 2012
Bee, I would think it is Mo-heat-o.
5:15 pm on December 10th, 2012
We are twirling and spinning and twirling some more. Mama ordered a special made Christmas gift for Gramp and it is here and even more beautiful than we had ever hoped.
Barb – good phonetic spelling of mojitos.
And we do believe our eyebrows have lifted – Professor Bee cant remember how to spell “vacuum”? We can only do it because of a memnomic – we say “I see you, you mud”. Ok, not great grammar, but we bet you will remember it the next time. tee hee
5:30 pm on December 10th, 2012
Twirling here! It feels like Christmas. We received a package from Snowhook: our Iditarod DVD, our Snowhook neck gaiter, sans fleece liner, our magnets, and our calendar. Wow! Is it time for the Iditarod yet? Sasha, who loves attention, especially loved that this package was addressed to her attention. heh heh
Rio, is it Sam who drinks mojitos? We remember them talking about them on Burn Notice too.
Wose, Mom’s department picnic is tomorrow too. She is not planning any drinks because her drive is way too long. By the way, is your address on dishlickers?
5:36 pm on December 10th, 2012
Mo-heat-toes!…snort!…Yes, Sam on Burn Notice, drinks many a mojito…heh!
5:40 pm on December 10th, 2012
Thank you for the pronounciation Barb.
I don’t get the “I” from “va” part T&G.
5:46 pm on December 10th, 2012
Last week we posted a picture of our little tree with the beautiful quilling cards on it. Here is our b-i-g tree.

5:58 pm on December 10th, 2012
A mojito is a mint julep with white rum instead of bourbon. Either drink is fine with me.
6:12 pm on December 10th, 2012
Beautiful tree Oleys! Is your’s a real tree?
I am out – out of the closet, umm, I mean bathtub. Eric the Evil is gone, gone, gone. Kitchen is done. Barb is so glad, she may have a mojito!
6:13 pm on December 10th, 2012
Hi Terry, I guess that is why YSAS can drink Mojitos.
The trees (though some are sideways) look great. We got our tree today. Perhaps tomorrow it will get put up. Not sure when we’re going to decorated it. We ended up not going out sawing one down. Too tired.
Riö, seen and answered.
B. sent link
Time to rest again.
6:27 pm on December 10th, 2012
Bee – no, there is no “I” in vacuum. But it is an easier way to remember one c and two u’s.
we use lots of memnonics since we can’t spell worth beans. As you may have noticed.
6:28 pm on December 10th, 2012
Thank you Melanie. I sent the link to my friend.
Thank you Terry.
6:30 pm on December 10th, 2012
Sorry but I have to say this: “Yours” is a possessive pronoun like “his” and doesn’t require an apostrophe.
6:38 pm on December 10th, 2012
Was our tree sideways? No, it is not a live tree. Mom and Pop broke down 2 years ago and bought this fake one. They thought it would make life simpler, and it has. But they still struggle getting this tree down from the attic, and then back up there after the hollidays.
For all of our Plunderer friends who are grieving this year, we saw this on fb and we like the quote. Mom says this her experience. Sorry it is a picture.

7:01 pm on December 10th, 2012
Thanks OH.
Dawson, sent some stuff your way.
Still waiting to hear about B.Stover and Wookie.
7:05 pm on December 10th, 2012
Wöökie, I believe you won Dan’s book. Still trying to stay awake.
7:05 pm on December 10th, 2012
I enjoy seeing the trees of the Plunderers. They are all very nice. I haven’t had a tree for 20 years. When the boys were young in Montana we would go out in the woods with our saw and cut a tree. It was always a Charlie Brown tree with mostly homemade decorations, many of them edible.
Wookie: Would love to have a taste of that delish sounding supper. There is only one thing I have had and that is the latkes. Oh dog, they are yummy.
Stover! Vacuum. Heh!
7:08 pm on December 10th, 2012
Oleys: I love the quote. This is definitely a spot on quote about grieving.
Your tree looks great!
I think my address is on Dishlickers.
7:09 pm on December 10th, 2012
Greetings plunderers from the middle of the mitten. Big to-do’s going on at the capital building today. Hullabaloo regarding right to work, expecting “thousands” to descent on the capital building tomorrow. Michigan State Police (MSP) at every entrance to the cap bldg, all streets surrounding the cap blocked off, downtown hotels are booked at 100% capacity. Mom walked to the post office and stopped to get her morning kawfee around 10A and saw a Greyhound bus full of MSP. You dont’ see that every day.
Mom says there is only one entrance and exit that will be open for parking and access into her busy place, which happens to be the first bldg directly west of the capital. Good luck with that, I say. I’m going to be snuggled down on the couch taking a nap.
Rose: quilt mailed today
SiberH: ditto
7:17 pm on December 10th, 2012
Melanie: I haven’t received Stories from Grimm yet.
7:19 pm on December 10th, 2012
Jasper: I hope your mom gets to her busy plae without incident. Looking forward to snuggling under the beautiful quilt.
7:21 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio! I think you would enjoy a Mo-heat-o.
7:22 pm on December 10th, 2012
Linda!…The Lurker!…I’m spinning and twirling and spinning and twirling!….Wooooo!… Guess what we received tonight??…snort!…It starts with “p” and ends with “etzels”….wooooo!….We haven’t cracked them open yet because her mother is toiling away making supper right now…heh!…But later we will have to have a few…yeep!
7:28 pm on December 10th, 2012
One thousand lashes with a wet noodle to Barb for her error with the apostrophe! Thank you, Bee.
7:39 pm on December 10th, 2012
Barb is making me laugh.
Those pretzels are delish! I had some for lunch.
7:55 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rebecca!!! Received the packages today. Thank you very much. I am a happy Husky!
Jasper, Tell your mom thanks from me for mailing the quilt today. It is a beautiful quilt.
I am trying to talk mom into turning our Christmas tree sideways, but she won’t do it.
8:00 pm on December 10th, 2012
Dear Royals,
Please tell your Mom and Pop that Dawson and I received the precious package safely. We read Mom your letter, well, I read it cause Dawson got all sniffy and her throat didn’t work so well. Mom is tickled that all this came from a person we ‘met’ on the blog.
Her special dream catcher is hanging on the window right next to the chair where she sits all day so we think she is extra safe and protected.
Thank you thank you thank you.
Alice and Abbie are very happy with their new treats also. Alice is laying on the catnip pkg right now.
8:01 pm on December 10th, 2012
It has been a long day. We are going to settle in and watch a Netflix movie, First Dog. Will let you tomorrow if it is worth watching. Night all.
8:03 pm on December 10th, 2012
Packages!…Everyone got packages today except for Stover!…sob!sob!….This worries me to no end!…grunt!…Damned Marauding Goats….gruffle!
8:04 pm on December 10th, 2012
Hey!…We came downstairs in the nick of time to catch the very very beginning of Miracle On 34th Street!!!….Wooooo!…Its the original, colorized…heh!…We love this one the very best…yup!
8:13 pm on December 10th, 2012
B. Stover, I hadn’t heard from Bella. I bet she’s been swamped with everything. I’ll send it tomorrow. I’ll also send Wookies.
I must sleep now. TTFN
8:18 pm on December 10th, 2012
This time of year I look forward to a Bailey’s on the rocks as a holiday drink. Spicey hot apple cider works for me too. Not keen on egg nog.
8:37 pm on December 10th, 2012
I saw Miracle on 34th Street last night. It was made in 1947.
8:51 pm on December 10th, 2012
Baileys!…My friend bought her brother a bottle of baileys…sniff!…Its all wrapped and in his basket along with some Irish whiskey. He is hard to buy for so she decided a basket of booze, cheese, crackers, summer sausage and chocolate would do the trick…heh!heh!
8:52 pm on December 10th, 2012
Stover!…Thats the one we are watching right now. It is the colorized version. Me and my friend love this movie so much…wheeze!
9:08 pm on December 10th, 2012
Shopping!…So someone finally got smart. She’s been looking all over town for a toaster cover for her mother….snort!…Not to cover her mother, but for her mother’s toaster (which doesn’t work well but dawg forbid we replace it)…sniff!…Anyways, after trudging up and down the mall, Bed bath and Way Beyond, and a bunch of other places….grunt!…she finally looked on Amazon. Low and behold they had one (one!) nice light blue toaster cover for hardly anything at all….wheeze!…She also ordered something for her sis-inlaw and used up a gift certificate she forgot she had loaded into her account. How about that for smarts? Finally!…chorkel!
9:14 pm on December 10th, 2012
“Miracle” was in color last night also.
9:31 pm on December 10th, 2012
Alice laying on her new package of catnip. She is looking at my suspiciously because I am getting too close to her catnip. AbbietheKitty doesn’t know it is here yet.

We also received a lovely 2013 calendar from Snowhook and a card with an amazing book mark enclosed from CHobbit. Thanks C!
9:34 pm on December 10th, 2012
CHobbit!…If I didn’t mention it before I am mentioning it tonight…snort!…Thanks for the card and the SiberH bookmark…chuffle!…I just love it. I imagine my pal SiberH leading the team when I look at it…snort!
9:35 pm on December 10th, 2012
Alice!…She looks like a real drug addict in that photo…grunt!
9:43 pm on December 10th, 2012
She is wishing that I would open the package. She doesn’t need it open to get high evidently.
9:50 pm on December 10th, 2012
Nip!…How come there is no Dawg-Nip for us guys anyways?…sniff!…Maybe that’s what slim jims are for…heh!heh!
9:54 pm on December 10th, 2012
Plunderers got different enclosures in the Christmas cards I sent as I couldn’t find enough of one bookmark to send to everyone. And Rose’s card came back to me needing extra postage. Why would her card need more postage when the others didn’t? Going to the Post Office tomorrow to figure it out. My last Christmas package goes into the mail tomorrow!
It has been around zero the last two days and will be this warm all week. I did 4 hours of errands in Fairbanks even though the air quality is listed as “unhealthy.” Snowed all day but since it is still snowing, I decided to put off shoveling until tomorrow. I am going to take a nap and then do some house cleaning.
9:55 pm on December 10th, 2012
Maybe Alica had mo-he-toes that Staff doesn’t know about, yet.
Howlers: I’m glad you received on package today. I sent the book via media post because it is so big. One thing you may not know is that there is a case of mistaken identity in the both the DVD and the Book. In the DVD, Jeff King is given credit for picking up Ramey rather than AJ. Belle Starr thinks facts would be checked before producing the DVD and I tend to agree. In the book, the dog listed as Annabelle—our girl—is actually Orion. Belle Starr is equally upset about the mistaken identity, but I told her it is lucky for us neither Annabelle or Orion are literate.
9:56 pm on December 10th, 2012
CHobbit!…Why don’t you just relaz a little bit…snort!…Seems you are always on the go!go!go!…sniff!…You wear me out just reading your posts…wheeze!

All these cat photos on the blog the last few days make me want to get a cat. These last 6 months have been the first time in my long life without a cat. I figure that I need to move and get sorted about my future before I add to my animal family.

Rebecca!…Those are some major screw-ups by golly. I’m mad right along with Bellie…sniff!

CHH: Meow.
Rio: We agree with you. We were pretty upset when we saw both. Our Lady said that Ramey nominating AJ for the Sportsmanship award meant a lot because it showed he appreciated AJ’s actions, but we think the world should know how amazing AJ is—of course, we might be partial.
Orion and Annabelle are both suspicious of the dog they see in the mirror upstairs. We had no idea we had more dogs on the team, but they say it is true.
10:16 pm on December 10th, 2012
Ha! Our Lady went out to get firewood for the fire she is trying—operative word—to get going, and she fell off the deck into a up-to-her-waist-pile-of-snow! She is still in her dressy work clothes! Oh, that is a laugh that goes all the way to the tip of our tails!
10:23 pm on December 10th, 2012
Fell!…She fell off the Deck?…snort!…Now you tell me who’s been drinking Mo-heat-toes…heh!heh!…Luckily the snow was there to catch her and her high-heels…chorkel!
10:26 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: Our Lady doesn’t drink, but you have it about right with her high-heels sticking up out of the snow and that’s about it. Oh, our sides hurt from laughing! Hoo! Hah! Hee!
10:28 pm on December 10th, 2012
You may not know this about Our Lady, but she has little coordination. AJ prefers her to stay put, and we suspect, if he had his way he would wrap her and all surrounding sharp objects in bubble wrap. Wouldn’t help…
10:29 pm on December 10th, 2012
Buried!…Did you tw,o help her out of the snow drift?…sniff!…Or did you rummage through her purse while she was stuck?…grunt!
10:30 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: Give you one guess, and only one guess.
10:32 pm on December 10th, 2012
Guess!…Youse rummaged through her purse and her coat pockets…heh!heh!
10:35 pm on December 10th, 2012
Yikes!
Luckily Pancho and Lefty didn’t have the video camera. Hope the only injury is to her pride…and that she gets the fire going!
T&G: Did Mrs Teitelbaum borrow the bulldozer from your mom?
Thank her for the lizard bag (beautiful and heavy duty), the blue-eyed Husky pin (looks great on my purple shirt) and especially for the dream catcher you made for mom. I am extremely touched by that gift.
It is great to be here with my sister. This caregiving is much easier when there are two. We both had a nap today.
10:35 pm on December 10th, 2012
Well, I see Pancho and Lefty have been giving the play by play of my uncoordinated evening. Oh, well. Maybe someday I will share about the one and only time I took a Zoomba exercise class.
Pancho and Lefty are off to train tonight, but if you must know, they riffled through my backpack and pockets. There goes my favorite chapstick…
10:36 pm on December 10th, 2012
Quiet!…Tupper and Gilly sure have been quiet this evening…sniff!…I wonder whats up with those guys. They usually have a quick remark when someone slides off of a deck in high-heels…heh!heh!
10:39 pm on December 10th, 2012
Maybe they are waiting for more of a challenge to flex they funny comeback muscles.
10:42 pm on December 10th, 2012
Muscle!…I’ve never known them to pass up an opportunity like this before…sniff!…They must not be home tonight…grunt!
10:45 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: I hate to admit, but this isn’t the first time and likely won’t be the last that my evening has taken a, er, downward slide. It’s pretty par for the course. The only difference is that Pancho and Lefty had the laptop at the time.

Rebecca!…Do youse guys put up a Christmas tree?…snort!…It might help get you in that Christmas spirit. At least it helped me and my friend once our little tree was up…sniff!
11:01 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: We have a tiny, artificial tree I bought for $12 when I was 19. I love the sitting by the lights of my little tree.

11:05 pm on December 10th, 2012
Jodi, the person not the puppy, makes a Christmas village every year. She goes all out with her decorations. Here is a picture of this year’s village. It is kind of difficult to see with the sunlight through the window, but she does a wonderful job of making it feel like the holidays!

11:06 pm on December 10th, 2012
Tannenbaum!…Oh Tannenbaum!…snort!…I love your little Christmas tree Rebecca!…chuffle!…I bet Mother Bogar would look very nice sitting beside it in her pink 60’s outfit…heh!
11:09 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio – we had to stop laughing before we could post. High heels! Snort, giggle, tee heeheehee. Back in the day, Mama used to have to play dress up for work too. Only she called them “high h e l l s”.
Rose – you may be wondering where your package is. We had planned to go to the post office today, but with one thing and another plus being exhausted from the &$):$&; show (oops – did we say that outloud?) we didn’t get there in time. Just wanted you to know it is coming and it is not being held for ransom by those rotten goats.
Staff and Dawson – it was our honor. We’re glad it made Miss Maggie smile.

I’ve always had white lights on the tree until last year, when they finally no longer worked. I tried red lights this year, but I’m not sure I like it as well. Our star is carved from a burl of a birch tree.
11:11 pm on December 10th, 2012
T&G: Last week an earthquake was reported in Alaska. It wasn’t a quake. I merely fell off my office chair again.
11:12 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rebecca!…How tall is that tiny tree? I am imagining it on a small table, but now i think it is bigger than I first imagined…grunt!
11:14 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: Our tiny tree is about three feet tall. I have it on a hat box on the floor. I placed some red and white patterned fabric as a tree skirt.
11:18 pm on December 10th, 2012
Awww!…So your tree is just about as high as my tree…sniff!…I was thinking Barbie Doll size at first…heh!…Sorry about that. My tree is 4.5 Newf Paws high, but it is wide. This is only the second time in 6 years that we have been able to put it up for Christmas….chuffle!
11:20 pm on December 10th, 2012
Rio: My Lady says good things come in small packages. I’m a small package. You’re a small package. Our trees are small. My Lady wouldn’t lie.
11:46 pm on December 10th, 2012
Goodnight!…To all the small packages out there and the big ones too…heh!…We are one day closer to Christmas dinner!….wooooo!burp!
11:53 pm on December 10th, 2012
Nighty noodle! Burp!
