Saw A Septic Truck This AM …

… and thought of this, from SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY:

Real slow, lights off, we drove down the dead end street. I picked up the smell of the canal, which had nothing to do with water, by the way, the canal being empty except during monsoon season. Pee, mostly human, is the normal canal smell, in case you’re interested. There are times the whole world pretty much smells of human pee. What a life!

BooBear, mom looked at your foto yesterday and her first thought was that the snake’s head was like a pit viper but the pattern wasn’t familiar and the rattles weren’t visible on her screen. Thanks for the ID on it. We have two rattle snakes here: Eastern Diamondback Rattler and Pygmy Rattler.

Good morning, all. First off, let us apologize for not keeping up with y’all. But you see, when Mom lets us use her iPaw, it is early morning and youse guys aren’t awake or posting. Mom puts that dang electronic device away in the evenings, because you know…cocktails. In between, she just checks for any facebookie notifications or emails. We wish this dang blog let us know when there are updates the way facebookie does.

Now, what is all this about our Hobbit getting surgery? Gasp!

    Greetings!

I am laughing at the excerpt from S&S. Sometimes, the whole subway smells like pee!

I just finished re-reading “Dog on It” yesterday. After having read the series, going back to the first book made me realize all the little clues in the story that foreshadow what is coming next in the series. I had forgotten how many bad things happened to Chet in that book. There were lots of places in the book that made me laugh out loud again. Just started “Thereby Hangs a Tail” this morning. I don’t know about youse, but these books put a smile on my face! :^)

Have any of youse watched the PBS series “The Great American Read”? It is interesting to see the top 100 books that are listed. The viewers get to vote for the number 1 favorite book of all time. After the show, the series “American Masters” was on. It was about Harper Lee. Quite interesting.

Howlers: Hobbitz had hand surgery. Hoping that her road to tip-top is quick.

    Good day to all!

This is my last day of travel. I am about 2.5 hours away from home. Last night when I was getting ready for bed I flossed a cap off of a tooth. :-0
So the first thing this morning I went to Walgreens and got some stuff to stick it on temporarily. So far so good but I am chewing gingerly.
I wonder how come gingerly means careful when Ginger is peppy or spicy?

Rio, a cap is a cover for a tooth that has had a root canal. A very expensive item. I have it safe in a little container now because it wouldn’t stay in.
Tell friend that I laughed and laughed at the CD she gifted me. She was right about the laugh out loud thing.

Staff: As Chet would say, I have caps up the ying yang in my mouth. In fact, I am getting some permanent ones put in on Saturday.

I am laughing at the post Hobbitz left at 5:51. :^)

    Rio,
No it wasn’t Monty Python. I would tell you which one it was if the CD wasn’t out in the car along with lots of dirty clothes, clean fabric, sewing machines and tools.
    But it is.
It was a CD about a woman who was (40 years ago) Miss North Carolina. Maybe Friend can remind you about that one. I am going to have to make Mr.Fireslippers listen to it.
