Ruff Club
Bernie’s been reading about something called the Ruff Club. “Think you’d ace the interview, big guy?” He gives me a long look. “Or not?” He turns back to the paper and starts muttering things like “East Village” and “what if I wore a fedora?” I get a little more comfortable on the couch, and I was pretty comfortable to begin with.

Good Morning Chet, Spence, Admin, Plunderers, and Lurkers!
We are wondering if the Ruff Club is anything like Kat’s Kamp where she learned such good non-husky socialization skills. We taught her the husky socialization skills, but Mom says that because Kat played with small dogs so much when she was young, she is happy with any 4-legged, or 2-legged too for that matter. Mom used to think dog daycare was silly until she needed it foy Puppy Kat. Now she thinks it was highly beneficial.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Charlie, he of the earodynamic ears, is 3/5 the way to being a Plunderer-sponsored racer!!!! Woo Hoo! We just need $200 more, gang! Come on come on…send Mom an email and we will know that ole’ Chuckie Boy is getting to the Starting Line in Anchorage. O.K. O.K. we mean Charlie.
9:00 am on January 5th, 2013
Good morning Oleys and All. We are wondering if Chet would be accepted at the Ruff Club. Our main concern is the ball issue. He tends to get a little overly focused at times.
Barb is stressing a bit this morning. Seems I am getting wonderfluffed this afternoon by the visiting grooming service. I can’t imagine what she is nervous about. I like people, and I would never nip, well almost never.
Barb is reviewing my treat budget. Oley, who do we tell if we want to put some towards the Bootie fund?
9:05 am on January 5th, 2013
Maggie, Have Barb email Staff to contribute to the Shake Your Bootie fund.
10:10 am on January 5th, 2013
Wookie in a tie up top! A good morning already.
And Barb, Staff is standing by. 😀
10:11 am on January 5th, 2013
Greetings and good day to all!
Hoping that all of those under the quilt are feeling better.
Hope Zoe and YSAS are doing well.
My lovely Kat, I hope your paw is fixed!
Belle Starr: there are 53 more days before the Prof and I are on your turf!
10:18 am on January 5th, 2013
Talked to Mollypop’s mom yesterday and she reminded me that it was already December 36th and that I’d be late if I didn’t get my calendar page up quickly.

Here it is. Hope that the new year is good to everyone and that the quilt will
get some rest during the year. It seems that it was very busy in 2012.
10:21 am on January 5th, 2013
Tyb and Jay, Please check your SDD.
10:22 am on January 5th, 2013
10:37 am on January 5th, 2013
That is an interesting article. “Hipsters”…I’m pondering that and I hope Bernie never wears a fedora.
Good morning all.
10:45 am on January 5th, 2013
Whooo Hoooo another donation to the Booty fund. We are creeping closer to the halfway point. We are at 925.00 Thank you to all the plunderers who have donated.
10:49 am on January 5th, 2013
Ruff Club? $149.00?
Dog parks, where dogs can be dogs, are free.
That money could be better spent going into the Snowhook bootie fund.
Good Morning Everyone!
11:06 am on January 5th, 2013
Whooo double Hoooo. Another booty donation! Yes we are going to be halfway SOON!
I am so happy I am putting up this picture…

Heh, I think this dog is having fun trying to pull booty money out of his 2-legged pal.
11:14 am on January 5th, 2013
Whoooohoooo on the Booty Fund!
Tyb and Jay, thank you for the great calendar page. Tyb, you never take a bad picture!
11:15 am on January 5th, 2013
Chet & Bernie and TYB’s January calendar!
It’s going to be a Good Day.
11:21 am on January 5th, 2013
Woo Hoo! We love Tyb’s January calendar. But what’s up with “winter blues”? We here LOVE winter!
(Whispering) The rents don’t.
Charlie is getting closer and closer to the Starting line. So far, a total of 4 Plunderers have donated toward the Earodynamic one.

11:24 am on January 5th, 2013
I’m back from the v-e-t doggie playground place! Mama Meash was sure I would come back with a cone, but I did not. In fact, we never even got near an ice cream place. Instead, I got one of Sasha’s tasty peanut butter pill pockets…the really big kind. Woo Hoo! Am I living the life or what?
11:26 am on January 5th, 2013
I agree with Rose. Tyb is one handsome fellow.
Staff: Please check your SDD.
Rose: According to her calculations, Belle Starr is convinced once again that you will be here in two days. She I also wondering what turf is and how to get more of it.
Pancho and Lefty are definitely not club material. At least not at a club where you have to behave and aren’t expected to steal anything. I wonder how long it would take before they returned home with a not pinned to their collars that said. “please don’t come back. You have been banned for life. Thanks, management”

****BREAKING NEWS*****
According to Rebecca of Snowhook Kennels the weather in Alaska has been hard on their racing schedule, but easy on their booty needs. Our need for booties has changed from a high of 2000 booties to a new amount of 1500 booties. That means instead of almost being halfway to 2000 we are nearly two thirds of the way to 1500 booties.
YEAH!
So we made a huge leap ahead for the booty fund today. Our booty total is 935.00 and the goal of 1500 is only 565.00 dollars away.
Go Snowhook!

11:52 am on January 5th, 2013
I could use a booty 🙁
12:05 pm on January 5th, 2013
Howlers,
To answer your question. What’s with the winter blues? It’s a three day event in Ellicottville (where Blou got his start) during which each of the bars (and there are plenty) feature blues groups and music. We try to include the Ellicottville dates on the calendar to make advance planning easier for visitors who anticipate a special event in EVL.
12:20 pm on January 5th, 2013
Dear Kat,
I bet Rebecca and Justin will put up some booties on the next auction. You can get the ‘rents to bid on them. You CAN have your own booties.
Sincerely,
Staff
12:21 pm on January 5th, 2013
Tyb: Ellicottville would be a kool place to be.
Herbs: Did I just see a Windows 8 flying by?
12:22 pm on January 5th, 2013
#$%$#!#$* Windows 8
dam you Microsoft!
12:27 pm on January 5th, 2013
Kat wants a Booy call!
Barb just got back from the liberry where she checked out House at Riverton by Kate Morton. They also have her new one, The Secret Keeper, so that will be next. Really liked her Forgotten Garden. Lots of twists and turns, so it keeps you guessing till the end.
12:34 pm on January 5th, 2013
Tupper&Gilly: Does it only work on new computers? Can you return it?
O.Howlers: Although my treat budget is low, I do have floppy ears like Charlie and he has always been a favorite of mine. So…….
12:34 pm on January 5th, 2013
T&G You are scaring me. Whenever I have to buy a new computer, it will have Windows 8. I don’t even want to think about it.
12:35 pm on January 5th, 2013
Told you to get a Mac, T&G!
Rest day. Still waiting for it. The snow blower died, so after doing all the morning stuff (still waiting for my shower), I went on line and bought one. One of the nephews is picking it up. Thank Dog.
YSAS went through a fedora stage. He has much better hats now.
But I did find out that most noir detectives where fedoras so i found one for Bernie!
12:35 pm on January 5th, 2013
carpola.
12:37 pm on January 5th, 2013
Trying again. If, in your plunderer thoughts today, remind me to relax my body. I’m keeping it very tense. Have to remind myself to let go.
Anywhoof:
Bernie’s Hat (take two)
12:39 pm on January 5th, 2013
Winter Blues! Tyb, we could really go for that. Just one more reason to move the rents to ski country.
12:40 pm on January 5th, 2013
Love that hat for Bernie! We expect him to invest in those…heavily.
12:47 pm on January 5th, 2013
Staff, There are Snowhook booties in this here house. Unfortunately, the rents won’t let me wear them. Something about their having been to Nome.

12:47 pm on January 5th, 2013
It would be better than tin futures!
12:52 pm on January 5th, 2013
I love Dr. Hart from this morning, but I did not like her examining my pads and toes. No I did not, and I made sure she knew it. When she started messing with my paw, I stopped kissing her. When she put the paw down, I went back to kissing her. I believe they call that the positive reinforcement method of training. Hopefully, she got it.
12:54 pm on January 5th, 2013
Ears! Charlie is head and ears above everyone else in the team in the last picture Staff posted.
Kat: Can you break into the shadow box when the folks aren’t looking? Look and see if there is a sign nearby that says: break glass in case of emergency.
12:54 pm on January 5th, 2013
BSD – Windows 8 takes a lot of power, so installing it on an older computer might not be advisable. Then again, installing it on a brand new state of the art, huge gigabyte computer might not be advisable either – but for different reasons.
Siber – if you have to get a new ‘puter, and it comes with 8, the store will most likely offer free tutorials – either on using 8 or on how to get the best distance when hurling the computer through the nearest window.
We can’t believe that Mama has 8 before it becomes close to obsolete. She is NEVER up to date on the computer stuff, and only got 8 cuz she thought everyone else already had it.
12:59 pm on January 5th, 2013
We give Golinka an 9.5 for throwing technique, a 9 for degree of difficulty and a 13.5 for the blur of curse words spewed before, during and after the throw.
1:07 pm on January 5th, 2013
Melanie: I want one of those hats to wear to the Blues Festival in Ellicottville.
1:09 pm on January 5th, 2013
Golinka does have a very original way with words..
1:16 pm on January 5th, 2013
And, a good throwing arm, too…
1:23 pm on January 5th, 2013
a NINE for degree of difficulty??? Didn’t you see that incredible end over end, with a double dipsy doodle spiral? That is NOT easy to do with a laptop! Oh, a notebook, sure – but a laptop??
Come on – it deserves a 9.5 anyway.
But thank you for the generous score on the cursing. We would like to thank the local construction workers union #465, the Sailors’ Swear Team, and the Jewelry Chain Untanglers’ Cooperative for their inspiration, and suggestions.
1:27 pm on January 5th, 2013
The judges would accept a 9.5 if it had included a triple dispy doodle instead of a double. Your mentors must be so proud.
1:27 pm on January 5th, 2013
That low score was from the Cast Iron Fry Pan Thrower judges. They are extremely hard to impress.
1:31 pm on January 5th, 2013
The purrfect hat for Bernie!
Royals: A recent comment by a Windows 8 user comes to mind: “Can I return it?&^%($##@!!!”
1:35 pm on January 5th, 2013
Dawson – oh. We forgot that the standard had been set so high by the Cast Iron Frying Pan Throwing Champion. We bow(wow) to your expertise.
Masquers – if all the Windows 8 users over the age of 12 get together in protest, there is going to be h e l l to pay! And who the heck decided that all Windows users wanted freakin’ Bing?
1:50 pm on January 5th, 2013
T&G: You have Bing because Microsoft is anti-Google.
2:06 pm on January 5th, 2013
Oh My Poor Dear Niece Kat! What did you do to your paw?
2:06 pm on January 5th, 2013
Bee – we have Bing because Microsoft is being run by a bunch of 12 year olds who think we give a carp about what the Kardashians are doing, and what the latest diet fad is all about. As a search engine, Bing is worse than worthless.
2:18 pm on January 5th, 2013
Melanie, how is Jessie doing? And Zoe? And YSAS?
I hope things settle down isoon.
2:20 pm on January 5th, 2013
T&G – Is Windows 8 stopping you from going to google.com?
2:29 pm on January 5th, 2013
MP’sM – No – it doesn’t stop us from going there. But the Start menu is now all kinds of pictures and color blocks like you see in the tv commercials for the new Windows phone. It is very distracting, and it now takes 3 steps just to get to the desktop in order to get to things that we don’t want on the start menu.
Hi Wolfie!
2:30 pm on January 5th, 2013
T&G Thanks, I won’t buy a new computer from anyone that doesn’t give lessons on Windows 8. You are very brave.
2:33 pm on January 5th, 2013
T&G: Can’t you delete some of the windows in the start menu that you don’t want?
2:34 pm on January 5th, 2013
Siber – we live with the Wrotten Kats. You would think 8 would be a walk in the park compared to those guys.
2:35 pm on January 5th, 2013
Bee – that was one of the questions we wanted to find out from the computer tutor – so far, we haven’t found any way to do so. Still working on it though, and the thought has crossed our mind that dynamite might come in handy.
2:36 pm on January 5th, 2013
What the? You mean you don’t care what the Kardasians are doing? But they are so talented and fascinating. NOT!
2:40 pm on January 5th, 2013
I like Bing. Kool pictures every day and for Christmas it was snowing!
2:42 pm on January 5th, 2013
Barb – very funny. And how scary is it that even Professor Bee of the Ivory Tower doesn’t have to ask “Who are the Kardashians?”
2:57 pm on January 5th, 2013
The 1200 page Les Miserables is free on Kindle.
T&G: Did you say the Windows 8 tutor doesn’t know anything about it? Of course, with all you describe, it seems par for the course.
3:10 pm on January 5th, 2013
Les Miserables is almost 1,500 pages and is quite interesting. However, I don’t want to reread it.
I only know about the Kardashians because I saw pictures of them in the NYTimes (I think) after you guys had been talking about them.
3:19 pm on January 5th, 2013
B: How long did it take you to read it?
3:20 pm on January 5th, 2013
The only reason BStover knows who the Kardashians is because of Chet the Dog blog, Dog help us all!
3:20 pm on January 5th, 2013
Victor Hugo was almost as flawed an individual as was FDR.
3:21 pm on January 5th, 2013
BStover: Do tell!
3:22 pm on January 5th, 2013
Masquers: I’m a slow reader. I can’t really remember how long it took to read the novel but I think it was for a grad school course and it probably took two weeks or so. That’s how I’d divide it if I were teaching it.
3:23 pm on January 5th, 2013
Dawson: My post would be censored by TPTB. (Are you guys impressed? That is a Melanie acronym.)
3:25 pm on January 5th, 2013
Like Charles Dickens (whose novels are extremely verbose), I believe that Victor Hugo was paid by the word.
3:31 pm on January 5th, 2013
BStover: …or, look it up in the dictionary! as my Dad used to say.
I’m for a bubble bath, a walk to the grocery, home for supper and to make a snack for the card game tonight. WhoooHoooo. (in between taking Checkpoint donations!)
Oh boy – tomorrow is Downton Abbey!
3:36 pm on January 5th, 2013
Dawson: There is an interesting biography by Samuel Edwards titled, “Victor Hugo A Tumultuous Life.” I don’t know if it’s still in print.
3:47 pm on January 5th, 2013
Aunt MollysMom, I didn’t do anything to my paw, and I don’t know why all the fuss. There is nothing wrong between my toes that a little lick now and again won’t fix. Mama Meish assured me that it is only a flesh wound, and Big Girls don’t cry, and to learn to play with the little hurts. But thanks for asking.
(Whispering) Momma mumbled something about a soak in salts! Yuck.
3:51 pm on January 5th, 2013
Yea! We love Down Town Abby. Isn’t she the main character?
3:54 pm on January 5th, 2013
Bee: no pie for you!

For everyone else…a wee bit of sun:
4:10 pm on January 5th, 2013
The sun is nice . . So another rest day shot to bits.
I’ll have to take my shower around 8pm. Need to clue my sister in on Zoë’s retirement status. For some reason the two of them thought it would take a few minutes.
Snort!
As we were finishing up the 120 minutes, her youngest who was picking up the snow blower called. They wouldn’t give it to him. Now I had filled out every freaking thing on their web site so he could pick it up. Snigglefritz. I asked to talk to the loading person. He wouldn’t talk to me. He had to call me. Nephew has a smart phone so I sent him the email with all the info (which this store was SUPPOSED to have) and things got handled.
He called about 20 minutes later. The snow blower won’t fit in the car. Well, hmmm. Young guy still in college, thinking about other things. Small car vs snow blower made for western MA.
My sister is using the Element to go get it from the other car.
4:12 pm on January 5th, 2013
Zoë is doing much more in PT. She is very tired. That should change as she continues.
YSAS is still eating mashed potatoes. But, he sounds great.
I did tell him NO when he asked it he should add almonds.
I look forward to the day when I can play on the blog again. This is getting old.
4:14 pm on January 5th, 2013
Mama has been doing inventory and boxing up things that need to be mailed out all day today (which is why she had a chance to have the blog running in the background)
Now, everything that needs to be shipped is ready to go.
And now, she is going to plunge back into the fishtank that Staff got her hooked on.
Then maybe, she will feel human enough to cook dinner for the two that are just hanging out watching tv……
grrrrrrr….
4:34 pm on January 5th, 2013
Package!…Someone has been running all over the place doing so-called errands…grunt!…When she came home she was surprised to find a package on her bed…snort!snort!…No return address anywhere on the box. So she finally opened it and look what was inside!…wheeze!
Pug!…A stuffed Pug!…snort!… It was sent to my friend from “A Secret Admirer”…heh!heh!…No one word about me, nothing for me….grump!…And it is a Ganz. My friend loves Ganz!! Who knew?…snort!… When Beau saw it he wanted it very very badly!…chuffle!…In fact he was quite sure it was a new toy for him…heh!heh!…My friend has put it in a safe place where he cannot get to it…chorkel!
Secret!…She has no idea who sent it to her, but she suspects it might be one of my friends out here on the blog for some reason…snort!…I don’t think so, but she told me to tell whoever sent it Thank You!! anyways…sniff!
4:41 pm on January 5th, 2013
Heh. Look at the curly little tail.
4:59 pm on January 5th, 2013
Yah-TRIPLE-hooooo!
Another donation to the booty fund and we are now at 960.00 dollars, or booties.
YeeeHAW…

5:00 pm on January 5th, 2013
I think I will go fish in my aquarium for a while also. 🙂
5:10 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rio! That is a cute pug!
5:11 pm on January 5th, 2013
Analysis!…At some point I am going to have to do some hand-writing analysis comparing my Christmas cards to the handwriting in the anonymous note…heh!heh!
5:12 pm on January 5th, 2013
B: My SIL had to read Les Miserables in French!
5:16 pm on January 5th, 2013
Belle Starr: Just a little further….
Then you can take me around on your “turf” and show me where you eat, and play, and sleep, and you can show me the kennel, and maybe the doggies will let me show them some love.
5:17 pm on January 5th, 2013
Walk!…grump!…Well, she got us all haltered up for a long walk…sniff!….We came back in like 10 minutes because it was too cold for her…heh!…The wind chill factor is what got her cause the sun is shining and the sidewalks are finally clear…snuff!…Thank dawg, I was not up for a walk today….wheeze!…Beau’s halter is getting tight around the mid-section, so he is in big trouble…snort!
5:19 pm on January 5th, 2013
I’m hanging out in the aquarium too. Thanks NOT to you Staff and Dawson.
5:22 pm on January 5th, 2013
What’s this aquarium thingy? Sounds like something a Kat might enjoy.
5:25 pm on January 5th, 2013
I am just back from an actual, authorized walk! I know! Mom must have had some energy pills or something, because I don’t get to go for real walks very often. I think that it had something to do with the hundreds of dogs walking their people that mom passed on her way home from the store. Guilty much?
TandG, I see that your mom has been boxing things up. It seems like it would have been the perfect opportunity to add one extra box to the mailing pile. Just sayin’.
Mom’s dinner is ready so I need to supervise.
5:25 pm on January 5th, 2013
Wose? Is the Prof. feeling better?
5:27 pm on January 5th, 2013
Cute little Pug. Reminds me of someone! What a nice surprise and how thoughtful of someone.
I got my wonderfluffing today. Barb warned the groomer that I am a little nutty when I am put in new situations. First of all I wouldn’t go into the van so Barb had to go sit inside to convience me to jump up there. Barb told the groomer that I might be a flight risk and to really hold on tight to my leash.
After the groomer got out of the van she disappeared around the side of the house. All of a sudden she came “hauling ass” around the garage and up the sidewalk. I was a 1 dog sled team!
She told Barb that when I got out of the van I twisted out of my collar and she was standing their holding the leash and collar with no dog! She came charging after me so I stopped after a short run and she got me back under leash. She said I was like solid muscle with feet attached. Barb said she would have had a heart attack on the spot if she had seen the whole thing go down!
5:29 pm on January 5th, 2013
Masquers…Do not start with the aquarium. A Catty Librarian showed it to me in the middle of December. I bemoaned my fate a little after. Some people on the blog tortured me and I let them know about (whispering) fishdom. Oh my Dog!
Do not go there. Do not google it. Stay away. Save yourself….gurgle…
5:30 pm on January 5th, 2013
You have been warned…
5:41 pm on January 5th, 2013
Yeep! Now you’re scaring me.
5:46 pm on January 5th, 2013
Siber-H: The prof is still sick. He went to the doctor on Friday, and was told he has bronchitis. He got some nasty antibiotics to take, and he is still taking a cough medicine. There are a lot of people sick here in New York with the flu, and colds, and bronchitis . He is doing his very best to get well. He wants to be tip-top for February.
Thank you for asking.
5:58 pm on January 5th, 2013
Wose, Daddy said a whole section of his hospital has been turned into a flu clinic. There are a lot of very sick 2-leggeds. I am hoping you had a flu shot.
6:09 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rose: Your sister-in-law must be very good at French.
6:11 pm on January 5th, 2013
Masquers – Staff speaks the truth. Just say NO!
Personally, we don’t see the point – it’s not like you can actually EAT the little fishies. But Mama disappears into that aquarium and its bye bye self control.
6:19 pm on January 5th, 2013
Mollypop’s Mom: Do not get me confused with those who are addicted to the aquarium game. I do not know how to play the fish game.
6:37 pm on January 5th, 2013
System!…I was just reading The Kats description of Windows 8 from last night and it sounds like the same blithering idiots who designed the new system at the busy-place…snort!…My friend has been having the same kind of hissing fits each and everyday she has had to use it…grunt!
6:39 pm on January 5th, 2013
Football!…I wonder if Macy is watching Houston play Cincinnati today….sniff!…Houston is ahead right now…heh!
6:47 pm on January 5th, 2013
Fish! Mommy and I are buying fishies…and lots of other stuff too. Life as we knew it has ceased to exist.
6:47 pm on January 5th, 2013
Wose, I am sure he will be feeling tip-top by Feb. The antibiotics will do the job.
I’m cheering for Houston!
6:50 pm on January 5th, 2013
Okay . . is the aquarium game mindless or do I have to think?
I don’t want to think.
Zoë just called and has a list for me to bring down tomorrow. It just hit him. How the heck am I going to take the glass lamp and everything else when I use a cane?
Picture up in a minute or 5.
6:51 pm on January 5th, 2013
It just hit ME, not him. I haven’t hit a him.
6:58 pm on January 5th, 2013
Heh, heh, heh
7:01 pm on January 5th, 2013
Kat, I did have a flu shot. So did the Prof. He got sick about two weeks after.
7:01 pm on January 5th, 2013
Snigglefritz, the old iPaw sideways pic. Hmmm . .

7:03 pm on January 5th, 2013
Hi Kat! You’re up top! Going to watch Hercule Poirot.
7:03 pm on January 5th, 2013
We are not going to get involved in the fish game. Barb is already addicted to Solitaire. That is enough! She needs to spend more time with me, me, me!
7:05 pm on January 5th, 2013
No more chicken liver, rice, pumpkin soup for The Pack. At least not served on the floor!
7:07 pm on January 5th, 2013
Siber-H, the Prof and I hope so too!
7:08 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rio: does the stuffed puggy make a farting noise when squeezed. Just asking how realistic it is..
7:08 pm on January 5th, 2013
Dawson – I’m sorry I blamed you. I see where Staff said just above that it was A Catty Librarian. Don’t let them get you hooked!
7:09 pm on January 5th, 2013
Gate!…Melanie! There is no way in hell that gate is going to keep a Newf or nine out of the kitchen if they really want to get in and get some soup…snort!
7:10 pm on January 5th, 2013
We played an hour of fishdom but our free trial ended, sob.

CHobbit!…I don’t know. She won’t let me or Beau even sniff it…snort!
7:15 pm on January 5th, 2013
Melanie, that is a snazzy fence. We just have baby gates propped up all over the place, to be moved as the situation warrants.
Sober H, we are listening to the Texans kick some kitty boo-tay. Dad has it on up in his mancave.
7:25 pm on January 5th, 2013
Riö: Just ask Siber where these cute little toys go. Up high…very, very high. Of course with your short legs maybe we can remove the very very part of that.
One look at the hypnotic stares from some of our pals on this here blog has convinced us…We will NOT be downloading that cleverly addicting game.
7:35 pm on January 5th, 2013
Maskers!…The stuffed pug is on a two-drawer filing cabinet right now and we can’t get to it…grunt!….She was tormenting Beau and put his ball up there too…chorkel!….This picture is kind of dark so you may not be able to see Beau trying to get both of them…heh!
7:37 pm on January 5th, 2013
Melanie, That is what I like about fishdom right now. No thinking required. In fact thinking might make it harder.
Macy, here is a hint. There are lots of links to other fishdom’s on google. (A Catty told me that) (It is all her fault)
8:03 pm on January 5th, 2013
Beau looks very determined and he is getting close. Perhaps another spot might be advisable?
8:09 pm on January 5th, 2013
My money is on the pug in the picture.
8:14 pm on January 5th, 2013
Beau!…It is just out of his reach…heh!heh!…It drove him crazy and then he went upstairs when he smelt supper cooking…snort!
8:15 pm on January 5th, 2013
Fishdom!…We just spent an hour playing Fishdom…((((sigh))))
8:15 pm on January 5th, 2013
Like I said, my money was on the pug.
8:17 pm on January 5th, 2013
Staff, we need a bigger hint.
8:17 pm on January 5th, 2013
Wose: I will get my paws on some beef for you when you come to visit. You may have to help distract my two-legged.

This is a very sad local story.

Funny!….Here is the last line of the last show of Animal Practice, “That’ll teach you to screw with me monkey!”….heh!heh!snort!….That was a funny show…snort!

B: My SIL is a PhD in French Medieval Studies. She lives and teaches in Franch.
8:24 pm on January 5th, 2013
Oops, that did not work. The story: The wind blew down a fence and a K-9 officer got out. A few days later a rancher saw him around and thought he was a coyote trying to get his livestock. (He was a Belgian whatchmacallit) He shot him, then saw that he was a dog. The rancher buried the officer and it was not until the news started talking about the missing officer that the rancher put two and two together. He was quite distraght, but that doesn’t help Officer Chico any. He usually wears his collar with a badge on it, but wasn’t wearing it when it counted.

Belle Starr: Distracting your two-legged will come in handy when I put you in my big bag and take you back to New York.
8:34 pm on January 5th, 2013
Macy, HINT
Go to google.
Type in fishdom, only fishdom, not other letters.
Choose another fishdom.
Enjoy.

Rose: I like that. What does she think of Les Miserables? You have a place to stay when you go to France!
8:47 pm on January 5th, 2013
Signs!….gah!…There is a movie called “Signs” and it scares the crap out of us each time we watch it….yeep!…Right now it is at the part where Mel Gibson goes into the cornfield alone …gasp!…This is one of the scariest parts – that is why I am at the keyboard typing and not watching…wheeze!
9:01 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rio, don’t you worry, I know enough not to trust these clowns. I figure the gate gives me at least a two minute warning. I finally got my shower. Going to see Zoe tomorrow. Not sure when, but after I get all the chores done. Then I’m resting for two days. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, better have a crisis.

Poor Chico. That is a sad story.
Mel Gibson. We used to like his movies till he went all crazy and anti everything and started being abusive to his baby mama. Now Barb will not watch his movies. He was good in the Lethal Weapon series with Danny Glover and Brave Heart.
Nighty noodle.
9:08 pm on January 5th, 2013
Mel!…Yup, ole Mel really shot himself in the foot a few times too many…grunt!…This is one of our favorite movies beccause of the philosophy in it. “There are no coincidences.”…snort!…And the director is amazing too.
9:12 pm on January 5th, 2013
Har har har Staff, nice bigger hint!
Do you mean a different version, or from a different site? You lose all your fish, right?
9:15 pm on January 5th, 2013
B: Franch! I really need to check for typos before I hit submit. SIL actually loved the book. The Prof recommended the new film version to her.
Yes, SIL has been trying her best to get us to France. Maybe someday….
9:18 pm on January 5th, 2013
Staff: Har har har Miss Smarty Pants! Check your SDD.
I’m going gamboling. My turn for winning is overdue.
9:19 pm on January 5th, 2013
Staff!…Yeah, you lose all your fish if you go somewhere else…grump!
9:38 pm on January 5th, 2013
Happy New Year, y’all. Mom finally let me back on the computer after a long absence. Not sure how long, but it’s been at least two days! First we had computer issues, and then Mom had to do her Christmas play, and then she got all swept up in the holiday madness (which I would complain about, except I got a bunch of nice presents!)
And then Mom and Dad went up to Nashville to visit my girl. And guess what? I got to go, too! It was a looooong car ride, and Mom and Dad left me alone in the car sometimes. (I overheard them saying something about not wanting to eat in the car with me there to bother them — who me?!) But in the end it was worth it, except for some reason Mom and Dad didn’t want to pay an extra $150 to let me stay in their hotel room, so I had to stay with Those Girls and their new brother, Muddy, who’s a really big guy. (I think I could walk under him without even having to duck!)
Anyway, we’re all settled in again and I’m finally back. Thanks to Rebecca for keeping us up-to-date on the happenings here.
P.S. Speaking of Rebecca, what do I need to do to contribute to the booty fund? I snuck Mom’s credit card the last time Dad filled up the car! She thinks he has it and he thinks she has it, so I should have a few days before they notice that I have it!!!
9:42 pm on January 5th, 2013
KirbyT: Welcome back, buddy. Long time no sniff. Did you get to drive on your long road-trip?
9:44 pm on January 5th, 2013
Daddy dragged Mommy out to eat real fish. Now they’re back and she is puzzled about the free trial and losing fish. We have been playing on an iPad app. It was free. Will we lose it at some point?
Macy, that is heartbreaking about Chico. I hate the “shoot first ask questions later” mentality.
9:45 pm on January 5th, 2013
Don’t worry – Fishdom has a short life. After awhile your eyeballs fall out and that annoying noise plays in your head when you don’t want it to. Then you quit and go back to solitaire.
Right now I’m $1914 in the hole in solitaire. Sigh. Think I’ll go read my Laurie R. King “Mary Russell” book.
9:46 pm on January 5th, 2013
Hey Kirby! Welcome back. We missed ya’ Buddy!
9:49 pm on January 5th, 2013
I’m a spa girl. Who knew? Don’t nobody tell Siber-H, but I LOVE soaking my paw in epsom salt water. aaaahhhhhh
9:52 pm on January 5th, 2013
Thanks, guys! No, I didn’t get to drive. When Dad got out I was quick to get into his seat, but he always took those key things with him, so I couldn’t get the car started. For future reference, does anyone here know how to hotwire a car???
9:52 pm on January 5th, 2013
Kat: I’m not sure of my stance on salt, but I like water, I like my paws—it makes sense to me.
Rio: DId you get the mission notes completed last night?
9:56 pm on January 5th, 2013
KirbyT: My guess is Pancho and Lefty might know a guy who knows a guy who is an expert on such matters. I’ll have to get back to you, what with me being a law abiding member of the nation within.
9:57 pm on January 5th, 2013
Tenzing!…No.
10:00 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rio: Ran out of hotwings?
10:30 pm on January 5th, 2013
Tenzing!…snort!…I ran out of beer…sniff!
10:46 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rio: Always, always make a beer run or a cahors run before heavy lifting or paperwork.
10:52 pm on January 5th, 2013
AJ did a run this morning, came home, fed the dogs, let them rest and then left a short while ago for a second run. I think he has a stomach bug that is starting to get to him. Junior for his part, is happy and feeling tip-top.
11:03 pm on January 5th, 2013
Staff – the one thing we didn’t like about Fishdom was the music and sound effects. But thank goodness you can turn either of those off or down in the “Options” button. We turned off the the music, but left some of the sound on so we notice some of the hints that pop up with a little “bing” type of noise.
KIRBY! Good to see you back – we missed you.
Macy – we told a computer geek your comment about 8 being a hippo (as opposed to just being a different kind of dog). She laughed a lot!
11:03 pm on January 5th, 2013
Giant!….Oh no! Not him too?…sniff!…Hopefully, if he does have to get sick, he will be over it all by the time the Big Race starts….wuffle!
11:09 pm on January 5th, 2013
Rio: That’s what I say. Better to have the stomach flu now than during the race. In 2011, I think it was, AJ had the stomach flu hit right before the race. He left the starting line with a queasy stomach, but this was an improvement for the splorting he had done in the days leading to the starting line. He is like YSAS—neither need to lose weight.
11:21 pm on January 5th, 2013
Wose: your SIL has been trying to get you to visit her in France and you chose to go to Alaska instead? Wow! How did you explain that to her?
11:23 pm on January 5th, 2013
Hey! What am I? Chopped liver? I can oh-la-la with the best of them and I’ve been dying to get a taste of an eclair. The Giant speaks French fluently. Does that count for anything? Plus, CHH, you’re in Alaska, too. Wose gets two Plunderers for the price of one. Does it get any better than this? You tell me.
12:07 am on January 6th, 2013
Kirby!!! Gimme 4!!!
12:07 am on January 6th, 2013
France? Or Alaska? Can Momma and I do separate vacations?
Speaking of Momma, her hand is hurting from Fishdom. We are off to the Bed Ball now. Nighty macaroni.
12:09 am on January 6th, 2013
Macaroni! I’ve never had macroni before. I must get my paws on this delicacy.
Kat: You are always welcome at the Kennel. Don’t be surprised if the Giant harnesses you when you are not looking.
12:19 am on January 6th, 2013
Flu!…I can’t imagine anyone having the flu on the Big Trail…wheeze!…Well, actually I can and that’s disturbing…gurgle!
12:23 am on January 6th, 2013
Rio: It’s not pretty, let me tell youse. My two-legged was hit that year with it out of no where and then the Giant started getting sick a week before the race. It was awful. My Two-legged bought him ice crea, when he reached the finish line—his favorite. My Two-legged is waiting, waiting, waiting for him to come home tonight to make sure he is feeling alright. Me? I plan on getting some water and then falling asleep next to my four-legged.
12:24 am on January 6th, 2013
Giant!….And Giant sized flu…gah!…Do you think he would consider drinking an Airborn before going to bed tonight…wuffle!
12:26 am on January 6th, 2013
Bedtime!…It is past someones bedtime right now…yawn!sneeze!….So we are going to go up and snuggle in for the night…burp!…Goodnight!
12:28 am on January 6th, 2013
yaaaaaaaawwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnn….
G’night gnocchi all
One little fishie, two little fishies, three little fishhhhh….
snxxxxxxxxxx
12:29 am on January 6th, 2013
Does Airborn work for the stomach flu or just colds, I wonder out loud?
My Two-legged is signing off as well. She said she needs to get in her fleece jammies and snuggle me why she waits for the Giant to return home. Who am I to argue with such a plan?
12:32 am on January 6th, 2013
Kirby, check your SDD
And*****YahOOOOOO*****
We have gone over the 2/3rds point in our Booty drive. We are now at 1060 booties, or dollars. I am so impressed with the way the plunderers are stepping up to the booty plate and taking charge. Or at any rate charging ahead. Ah… you know what I mean.
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!
12:35 am on January 6th, 2013
I have stopped my fish acquisition for the evening. Nighty Noodle everyone.

Hi there, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just wondering
if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you prevent it,
any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any assistance is very much appreciated.

I seldom comment, but i did a few searching and wound
up here Chet The Dog : Ruff Club. And I do have
2 questions for you if you do not mind. Is it just me or does it appear like some of the comments
look like coming from brain dead visitors? 😛 And,
if you are posting at other online social sites, I would like
to follow anything new you have to post.
Would you make a list of every one of all your
communal sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for beginner blog writers? I’d definitely
appreciate it.

Sarcomatoid mesothelioma is so dangerous because it attacks and arises from the support tissues of the body, such as bone, cartilage, fat, and muscle, and cancers in these areas are notoriously difficult and painful to treat.
