    Nice to know Spence is working on # 4. Shortest ever post!

    True Barb, but one of the best!

    OK, Here is my theory.

    Bernie is getting an award at The Great Western Private Eye Convention and Chet is proud of him (or what).

    Heh hehe heh,

    Alice Johnson couldn't do any better than that. Too bad she has to wait until tomorrow to find out.

    Staff, I bet TG will really be fun for your family this year! You said there were 6 kids, are any more coming? Are you doing the meal at your house? Is the younger generation coming, too? Are you serving turkey or moose?

    Wolfie, We liked your quote about being pecked to death by chickens. You probably know this, but chickens are the closest living relative of T-Rex, so they can be quite violent when they want to be.

    I love it! Thank you Spence. And I agree with Staff's theory.

    B&M: I didn't know that. I wonder if T-Rex tasted like chicken. (Sorry, I had to say that.)

    Barb,

    One of our brothers (turtleman)will be there for sure. The other brother is in Chi-town and probably will not be able to get here this year. What I like best is when all of us sister's get together in the kitchen and do the cooking of all of Mom's and Dad's traditional Thanksgiving foods. Too much FUN! Turtleman makes the pies and his wife (who does not cook) cleans up. She is a wizard cleaner.

    Bee, I bet T-Rex did taste like chicken.

    Wonder if moose taste like beef?

    We agree that Bernie just got an award at the convention. Nice going, Staff.

    Sisters!…The image of the 3 sisters brewing up Thanksgiving dinner this year has made me think of the following scene from MacBeth…snort!

    1 WITCH. Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

    2 WITCH. Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.

    3 WITCH. Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!

    1 WITCH. Round about the caldron go;

    In the poison'd entrails throw.—

    Toad, that under cold stone,

    Days and nights has thirty-one;

    Swelter'd venom sleeping got,

    Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!

    ALL. Double, double toil and trouble;

    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

    2 WITCH. Fillet of a fenny snake,

    In the caldron boil and bake;

    Eye of newt, and toe of frog,

    Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,

    Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,

    Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—

    For a charm of powerful trouble,

    Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

    ALL. Double, double toil and trouble;

    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

    3 WITCH. Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;

    Witches' mummy; maw and gulf

    Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark;

    Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark;

    Liver of blaspheming Jew;

    Gall of goat, and slips of yew

    Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;

    Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;

    Finger of birth-strangled babe

    Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,—

    Make the gruel thick and slab:

    Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,

    For the ingrediants of our caldron.

    ALL. Double, double toil and trouble;

    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

    2 WITCH. Cool it with a baboon's blood,

    Then the charm is firm and good.

    Heh!…That will be some kind of Dinner!…snicker!

    I've always felt that the first sentence made the book. I CAN'T WAIT!

    Whew, we are having a full house cleaning here to get ready for Dan's coming home. That means I won't be able to do the hats right now, Riö.

    I will later, hopefully before the series is over.

    I have two very solid reasons for rooting for the Yankees. First, Mollypop is queen of Bookworm and she's rooting for them (and so is our Princess). Second, I have a hunch that the Yankees are going to win the World Series.

    First Sentence is just cause for a celebration. Slim Jims for everyone! I like Staff's theory about the Great Western Private Eye Convention.

    Ok good, this baseball thing is going to even out and Molly has help rooting for the Yankees. We saw a car this morning that had a Boston Red Sox bumper sticker, but they had a NM tag.

    and the Colorado Rockies have CR on their caps. The T is enough for the Texans…that's just the way they are. This is not an insult as I say it with affection. The Texas Rangers have a tiny flag of Texas on their sleeves. Texas is the only state in the Union to have had five different flags flown over it.

    The Fall Festival looks like fun. Wish we could all go. We would all look so cool parading down that sidewalk together. Hope Wookie can make it.

    Of course.

    However we are going out to listen to bluegrass and have Pizza tonight at Dulono's Pizza. It has the longest running live bluegrass in the Nation! Whooo Hooo. The Bluegrass Continentals are playing there tonight.

    Hey everybody! Put me down for the Rangers! Although they beat out my Angels, I have to root for my division buddies. Or maybe I should just say ABTY!!! (Anyone But The Yankees!!!) When Mom lived in Iowa her family used to go to a restaurant in the Amana Colonies owned by Bill Zuber, who played for the Yankees back in the 40s. The restaurant had Yankee stuff all over the walls, including cartoons that said it wasn't a "real" World Series if the Yankees weren't in it. Even though Mr. Zuber was a very nice man, Mom totally disagreed!!!

    President Bush is there. I saw him also. This is becoming a comfortable lead for the Rangers and us.

    Yes President Bush is a former part owner in the team. He comes fairly often, usually without Laura, who doesn't seem too "into" the game when she does come. Mom and Dad have been invited to sit in the boxes several times and say it is really nice. But Dad's favorite is the all you can eat porch, which is indoor outdoor. The folks spent a 3 hour rain delay sitting by the window in the restaurant, snacking away. Another time in the rain, Mom sneaked mom into one of the boxes so she could sit down. It was pretty fun until the owner of the box showed up wondering who was in his box. Hey, it was the last game of the season, and they were only there to clean out the fridge, or at least what was left after Mom and Grandma got their snacks, heh heh.

    Rio, when you talk about the big guy in the red shirt, are you by any chance referring to the great Nolan Ryan, definitely part owner and president of the team.

    We are so happy that everything is going so nicely for all our visitors tonight. Can I get anyone anything while I'm up?
