Good dog, bad owner. Glad she is going to be put up for adoption rather than being returned to him. I think the dog was named before the terrorist group came became known.
Good morning everyone. One more nice day here – 57 degrees this afternoon – then tomorrow the bottom drops out!
8:55 am on November 10th, 2014
Good morning, B&M&L and every one! Some people should never have animals or children, just saying. Barb, enjoy the warmth (?) you have left, looks like lots of nasty shiitake is heading your way. Great checkpoint news last evening (for those of you who missed it last night…they are all funded).
Monday, Monday, what more can we say?
9:02 am on November 10th, 2014
At first I thought this referred to the Isis of Egyptian mythology (goddess of fertility). I’m glad that Isis…the dog…has been saved. I don’t understand people.
Good morning all.
9:07 am on November 10th, 2014
I wonder if the dufus named her that name because he intended to have a lot of puppies? He is also being fined for not having a license for her. I hope she gets adopted.
9:13 am on November 10th, 2014
Rio: There are three new episodes of Gilmore Girls On Demand until November 16.
9:22 am on November 10th, 2014
Everytime mom sees a Rotweiller, she thinks of the “Carl” stories. Anyone else remember those? First one was “Good Dog, Carl”.
9:25 am on November 10th, 2014
Barb read some of the Carl books to her kids.
9:35 am on November 10th, 2014
Mom made sure all neices, nephews and grands got a supply of them.
10:20 am on November 10th, 2014
We firmly believe there is a very special place in h e l l for those who harm children or animals. It is MUCH hotter in that room, plus there are impermeable rocks that need to be broken (thanks to Chet’s influence). And the orange jumpsuits are made of barbed wire.

We have only one thing to say…Happy Isis is Safe.
10:59 am on November 10th, 2014
Staff, check your SDD, pretty please.
12:25 pm on November 10th, 2014
Thank dog Isis is safe.
Brrr!
Pouring rain last night, then high winds and a couple inches of snow so we awoke to crunchy snow this morning.
We are running errands today…maybe.
Congratulations to the Equines of Takotna checkpoint and to Macy Minpin and the small dogs. We welcome them to the Iditarod Trail 2015!
Rio: Do you know who did the Checkpoint map with all the sponsors names on it last year? Prior to last year it was always Melanie who would post it for us after I sent her all the info. I will post all the checkpoints and sponsors after I get to Mpls and a normal sized keyboard.

Isis will be adopted. Whenever a dog gets media attention, they are adopted. I am sure the same is true for kats.
GO SNOWHOOK!!
Going to be 71 degrees here today.
1:02 pm on November 10th, 2014
Siber – is true? Any doggie vith media coverage gets adopted? Vould YOU like to adopt nice, pretty Borzoi type doggie? Ve vould be happy to make some headlines if ve think you vould be villing.
hmmmm?
1:11 pm on November 10th, 2014
Oh, Natasha, be careful with being a forward European gal with the SiberH. He has been American trained. Tease, bait, then hook!
1:13 pm on November 10th, 2014
HOH – is probably just as you say. But this Borzoi comes vith shiny red Porsche.
1:24 pm on November 10th, 2014
Natasha sure knows the way to a guy’s heart. Her Porsche is newer than my old, borrowed one.
Natasha, You are a jewel, but I am not adopting anybody or anything. Besides that, you would not like the desert.
1:27 pm on November 10th, 2014
Vellllll, desert thing is problem. Vhat if ve adopt each other, and go to Alaska for Iditarod together?
And maybe travel to Royal Vedding here and there?
Is good compromise? Détente?

A sequence of photos follows. Sadie had been laying in the entryway with curious kittens–looking anxious but wagging her tail furiously. Then she bolted for the stairs and the kittens start to follow:
1:30 pm on November 10th, 2014
Sadie keeps watch, still wagging her tail

1:31 pm on November 10th, 2014
Getting closer
1:34 pm on November 10th, 2014
Sadie retreats! {two torties follow her up the stairs until I snag them and Sadie is safe]

1:36 pm on November 10th, 2014
Awww Sadie – it’s ok….now is the time to train those kitties to know that you are the boss. Unfortunately, WE got our kitties too late to teach them that lesson.
1:37 pm on November 10th, 2014
The last of the Bering Sea wind came through last night and blew things all over. On a positive note, my big tree that had been holding onto all of its dead leaves is now bare. The best news is that all the leaves have been blown who-knows-where so I don’t have any raking to do. Yay!
1:44 pm on November 10th, 2014
Yeah, Hobbit, but now the lower 48 gets to withstand the remnants of that storm and it looks like it will be a doosie! Wind, dropping temps, some rain and SNOW in places earlier than usual! Wowser, bring on WINTER! (Does this mean there will be snow for this Iditarod?) Please? (We mean, mom didn’t get all that cold weather gear for nada!)
1:56 pm on November 10th, 2014
We are not mean. We just know our worth and demand payment if you wish to pass our space.

2:06 pm on November 10th, 2014
Hobbit, it looks like Sadie wants to make friends. Perhaps 1 or 2 of the kittens could stay with you instead of another dog.
Mom may wind up with ANOTHER kitten. She is trying to say no, but it is “so cute”! Gah!! It is another boy and that last litter of 3 boys (now a year old) are terrors! But they know how to suck up to Mom and be very lovey dovey, so she is always forgiving.
2:12 pm on November 10th, 2014
Alice, no felines in this house (a beautiful feral outside). But the GREEN ones here have a similar effect on out gogs. Almost like a robot with a magic clicker!
2:15 pm on November 10th, 2014
Natasha, Yes to Alaska and the Iditarod. A big, fat NO to anymore Royal Weddings.
2:18 pm on November 10th, 2014
Funny video. It had Barb chuckling out loud. And the pictures of Sadie and the kittens are so cute. Not sure that would happen here!
Well. last pot is tucked into the garage. It required Josh and a moving dolly to complete the job. We are ready to tackle winter.
3:02 pm on November 10th, 2014
Stover!…Yippeee! More Gilmore Girls!…snort!snort!
Dawson!…Let me look into the map o’ checkpoints…sniff!…Seems to me I created one before…grunt!
4:27 pm on November 10th, 2014
Alice – you Kats are to mean. We felt bad for that poor, abused Corgi – that’s just how it is around here too.
Gilly is willing to play tag with those Wrotten Kats, but they pick on me. Must be because they know I am the real Royal, and they are peasants. Peasants I tell you.
4:58 pm on November 10th, 2014
We are reading a little holiday feel-good book by Debbie Macomber, Mr. Miracle. One of the characters is a soldier with PTSD, who has a service dog to comfort him. Just like in the Pets for Vets video from the other day.
5:00 pm on November 10th, 2014
Alice!…I noticed there were no Pugs in the video of yours…snort!
5:08 pm on November 10th, 2014
Rio, that is probably because pugs are so short it is hard to lean over to scratch them…. 🙂
5:11 pm on November 10th, 2014
Rio – that’s because the Pugs wouldn’t even come into the same ROOM as the Kats
5:13 pm on November 10th, 2014
B&M&L, you lucky dogs. Your mom cooks great and reads good things to y’all and takes y’all for sallies!
5:33 pm on November 10th, 2014
this is for you Rio

5:49 pm on November 10th, 2014
Alice!…All those guys got their beds back..heh!heh!
6:00 pm on November 10th, 2014
Yes Rio, They did. But the Pug waited until the cat left. The rest got rid of the cat by various means. Including laying on them…snicker. My favorite was the little Lou lou dog who pulled the cat all over!
6:15 pm on November 10th, 2014
Awwww – too funny. And sweet at the end. Thanks, we needed that.
6:27 pm on November 10th, 2014
Alice!…Pugs are very patient….snort!
6:33 pm on November 10th, 2014
Today was 56° and tomorrow will be 67°, then the plunge!
6:56 pm on November 10th, 2014
MPM, We are a day ahead of you. Our plunge starts tomorrow. Big Chill is on its way.
7:00 pm on November 10th, 2014
Greetings!
Mollypop is up top.
Hobbit: All I have to say about your pictures is awwwwwww….
Rio! What is going on with the Rockies? They all seem to want to play in New York. The Mets have signed Mike Cuddyer to a 2 year, $21 million contract.
7:03 pm on November 10th, 2014
Our weather plunge starts on Thursday.
I have sent Luna and the Pixie my items for the boutique and auction. I think my pictures are going to need a lot of help to look better…
7:18 pm on November 10th, 2014
Barb, normally I blame you when you send the bad weather on our way, but this time I can’t. I think it’s CHobbit’s fault.
7:42 pm on November 10th, 2014
Good googa mooga…what is going on? Winter or not. What is it?
8:20 pm on November 10th, 2014
Winter? Think not.
8:22 pm on November 10th, 2014
What dreadful weather!
Snow, then rain, then sleet. More snow tonight. I don’t want to whine, but waaaah!
Michael Cuddyer in New York? He was our favorite Twinkie a couple of years ago. Very fun to watch. Rio: He is gone?
I am knitting dish cloths. Talk about your escapism activities.
8:22 pm on November 10th, 2014
Winter? Think not.
Yeeps, this isaf /
ter
8:32 pm on November 10th, 2014
Oops, meant..winter? GAH! Keep on Kniting BB. It is an escapeism. Or sumpting.
8:38 pm on November 10th, 2014
Time for meds and bed. Therapist appointment tomorrow, so crying will most likely be involved.
Healing wishes and good thoughts to those who may be under the quilt.
Sweet dreams to all.
8:48 pm on November 10th, 2014
Cold!…Brrrrrrr! I did my duty in quick time and I think something still froze…grunt!
8:51 pm on November 10th, 2014
My apologies for future weather plunges ahead. We have been unseasonably warm. It was in the mid-40s today so I was able to clean the glass door of Sadie’s nose art work. No snow and none predicted this week. Gah!
8:51 pm on November 10th, 2014
News!…Why do I always read bad news on this here blog?…grump!…What do you mean, “Cuddyer in New York”?…wheeze!
8:57 pm on November 10th, 2014
Rio – you want to feel the love – check out the FB page to the right. Notice that THEY didn’t get a new page today but us Plunderers did. So there! Spencer likes us best.
9:02 pm on November 10th, 2014
Cuddy — Mets — two years — $21 million is what Wose says.
9:22 pm on November 10th, 2014
Oh well nighty, night.
9:23 pm on November 10th, 2014
C. Hobbit–Nice photos–much nicer than those naughty kitty bed-thieves. (This would not be tolerated chez nous)
I hope and trust Isis gets a really good home.
Nice to hear from Natasha again even if I can’t understand much of what she says.
Wose–for tomorrow: Courage! We’re thinking of you.
I’m going to go watch Gotham and Sleepy Hollow (even if it now contains everything up to and including the kitchen sink–yeesh!) in the company of my three softly snoring angels…
Everyone–Please consider taking a moment at 11:00 tomorrow a.m. to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice…
Blessings, everyone…
9:30 pm on November 10th, 2014
I never have any trouble understanding Natasha. This might not be a good thing.
9:43 pm on November 10th, 2014
Siber Sveetheart – is sveet you understand Natasha. Ve understand you too.
Diane – is OK you do not understand. Ve speak most excellent of the English. Maybe to you is second langvich?
9:44 pm on November 10th, 2014
Well, schicke nighty night.
10:14 pm on November 10th, 2014

Love this Siber!

Stover!…Tonight I am watching the Gilmore episode called, “Rory’s Birthday”….snort!…It is one of my most favorite episodes of the series. You really get a sense of Emily and Lorelai’s past relationship…wheeze!…I think Kelly Bishop is just wonderful in this episode. She portrays Emily brilliantly….heh!burp!
10:46 pm on November 10th, 2014
Staff, I love the Siber! That dog is crazed.
Bear, Thanks for remembering. That song is a classic…one of our very favorites.
11:02 pm on November 10th, 2014
Mr.Husky, did you notice that Siber’s toy??? I thought of you.<3
11:11 pm on November 10th, 2014
The Siber puns were just awful. And a riot! Love that face.
Another busy day tomorrow. G’night, family.
11:21 pm on November 10th, 2014
Staff, I did notice the Siber’s toy. I do not have any stuffed Husky toys. Mom always claims them. That is not fair.
Unless the two-leggeds took that stuffed Husky away from the Siber after the pictures were taken, that toy was doomed.
I do not destroy stuffed animals but, okay, I do get them dirty.
