    Greetings!

YAY! Nanasan, Bear Spirit Dog, and my dear Masquers are back in the U.S.A.!!!

I wonder if Rio ever got a doggie massage like that from his friend. snort!

    What about the Thieves?

I am off from work today, but as a reward, I get to have my head shrunk, and maybe get wonderfluffed.

SOB! One day closer to the Captain’s retirement! Yankee baseball will never be the same. sob, sob, sob,

But on the positive side of baseball, my betsest friend on this here blog Teddy and his gal, Zeta are going on a date to the Nationals game tonight. I hope the Mets channel broadcasts this so, I can watch. I hope youse all have a great time!

    Good morning all.
Nana – so good to see you on this here blog. Welcome home.
Tupper would go for that massage. Gilly? Not so much.

We know Bee said she would be late posting today. We know why. Today is National Punctuation Day, and wild woman that she is, we know Prof Bee is off celebrating, red pencil in hand, maniacally giggling as she slashes her way through improperly punctuated newspapers, billboards and store signs.

I’ve never seen a dog enjoy a bath like that!

Tupper’s Mama is making me laugh.

My brother, who is a Tigers fan, told me that they are top in their division. He’s going to the game Friday. (Yawn!)

    Good morning all.

Can’t help wondering if that dog was sedated. No one relaxes that much! Fun to watch though.

So glad Nanasan is back. Will she fill us in on her whirlwind trip today we wonder?

Rose, enjoy your day off. Do you like the new job? Any perks, like edible ones?

Just had a funny experience. Looking at my checking account on line, I noticed that I have a credit for $38.18 from my grocery store. I called the bank and told them there was an error, and that it should actually be a debit for a check I wrote to the store. They told me there is nothing they can do to correct it, as the grocery store made the error, and I have to take my receipt back to the store. Huh? I am not sure I even kept the receipt. So now I am wondering if I should just keep the money or what.

B&M: When I was 16, I liked working in a supermarket deli. At 55, not so much.
I did a lot of sampling during my first deli job. After a while you just feel sick. I have no interest in sampling anything in the current deli case.

Trouble!…Oh no! My friend had to drive her mother’s car to the busy-place this morning…wheeze!…When she started my ole Subaru it was yeeping and howling like something had come loose in its inards…grunt!…So now we are all waiting for Triple AAA to get here and haul the car to the service place…sniff!…My friend will be on pins and needles waiting to hear what is wrong and how much it is going to cost…gah!

    11:37 am on September 24th, 2014

Howdy! Youse don’t know me, but I am the favorite hen here at Howling Arabians. In fact, the name of the farm will probably be changed to Isabel’s Roost.
Well, last evening, I was up on Mom’s shoulder, like I used to do all the time. I have not been up there for a while, due to my size, the netting at the top of my yard, and the fact that Mom doesn’t hang out with me so often any more.
While I was up there, I spied something pretty and shiny. I did what any hen worth her corn would do (I am sure that Chicken Lady Barb could attest to this): I ate it!.
Mom immediately screamed, and she and Dad pulled out flash lights. There was a lot of sighing and groaning and “oh, Isabel”s. sigh
This morning, Mom and I were digging in the poop. For what? heaven knows.

Oh, Isabel! Sounds like you ate a diamond earring. Does it have a sharp pointy thing on it? Maybe you really didn’t eat it and it is one the floor. If you did eat it, it could take a while to reappear.

Isabel, I hope you will be okay. There is a program on tv called, “I can’t believe my dog that”. Maybe they should have one called, “I can’t believe my chicken ate that”.

Rio, I hope your friend is feeling better today. I also hope nothing is seriously wrong with the Subaru. They are a good car.

Nana, Welcome Home! We missed you. We worried about you at times…like when we thought you were living in the airport instead of a hotel.

Rio, I checked our tv channels that show baseball games. None of them are showing the game Teddy and Zeta are going to tonight.
I would like to see that game.

Barb, Don’t try to hard to find the receipt.

Oh Isabel – you naughty bird.

  27. Barb & Maggie
    1:19 pm on September 24th, 2014

I don’t think it is a hacker in this case. The item is identified as Jewel Food Store, and is the exact amount of the check I wrote on Monday. It is just a credit instead of a debit. Not sure how a hacker could do that?

    Did anyone notice…
    Thieves stealing gloves
    Harris stealing money
    Isobel stealing diamonds.

The crime wave is escalating.! Don’t worry about hackers, everyone watch their pets!

  31. Barb & Maggie
    1:56 pm on September 24th, 2014

Tupper, we will keep a close watch. We already notified the bank, so if the account has been “compromised” we gave them notice up front. I know the same bank had problems recently with some accounts that use debit cards, which we do not use.

  32. O'Howlers
    2:22 pm on September 24th, 2014

As long as Barb wrote a check, and didn’t use a debit card for that payment to the grocery store, we don’t think a hacker is involved. And we don’t think the grocery store needs to be made aware. We do, however, think that Barb will soon see two debits for that amount. The store will likely catch their error and then “refund” the credit, and charge for the groceries. If they don’t, then Barb can buy herself some wine or something!

Hobbit! Heh Heh Heh! Just be sure you only take in 2-leggeds in the Hobbit Hotel. Hmmmm… Wait! Isabel is a 2-legged!!! What’s up with that?

Oh Gilly, you are so cute!

I am here to report that someone’s so called “last minute invitation” to meet a family member in the Orient was in reality an undercover assignment deep in the heart of Hong Kong. Details are sketchy at this point, but apparently all did not go as planned. The secret agent who would be bringing supplies was delayed, thus she had no satellite phone or means of communication with the west.
Another example of the infamous Murphy’s Law at work. My advice from this experience? Depend on no one and always cover your tail.

Dogs who steal hearts are the most dangerous kind of home invader because then they get away with stealing food, gloves, cash, diamonds and being hellions and miscreants. With just looks and a wagging tail, strong people have been known to surrender.

    A belated Good Day, all!
I saw FIVE bunnies this a.m. and sure enough the day has been going quite well with delightful photos on the blog and Nana really truly home (knocking on wood right now) and next week I’m giving exams.
Gilly and all other Thieves you cannot steal from me because I would give you everything I have.
Wose (from yesterday)–You may not feel energized and focused but your posts do read that way (really). Fermented foods are supposed to be good for you–does that deli have kraut to sample? (AND you get wonderfluffed, which I hope you find an enjoyable experience;I’m long overdue and likely to remain so for a while.)
About to leave for another campus! Parked on the freeway! Alert and professional! Day off tomorrow! (This must be the manic part, but at least I’m enjoying it…)
Later, all and have a great day.

We have decided to put some new trees in our front yard – our 60 year old apple tree finally bit the dust, and we need to remove the spruce tree before it takes over.
So we took Gramp and Tupper to the nursery today. We found lovely semi-dwarf apple and pear trees, and they were even on sale!
There was a beautiful red Siber girl named Juneau working at the nursery. She was very friendly, and was even willing to share her food dish with Tup.
But, noooooo. Little Miss Royal snubbed her completely. Seems a certain Tup Pup doesn’t think she is a D*O*G, and therefore has no need to associate with other members of the Nation.

Rio, tell your friend that it took mom 4 days after her flu shot to get back to as normal as she ever gets. Hope your friend feels better sooner than that.
Nighty nachos as we head for dreamland, too.

I sure got all my information wrong on the ball game. Perhaps I should look at the dates on articles.
At least Teddy and Zeta got to mingle with some exciting members of the Nation within.

HOH: I didn’t see any sdd from DDD.

Last night we tried to listen to the game on the radio while in our warm soft beds, but that did not work…grumble!…We both fell asleep way before the game ended and then I had all these weird dreams because of that book we are reading….gah!GAH!…I can’t wait to finish that book. I have no idea how it will end. I can’t even let my mind try to think about the ending…wuffle!weeep!
