It should be a thrilling Thursday 🙂

Good morning all.

Good morning HOH and all. Nice short review.
Reading more and last night’s posts, you have convinced Barb not to get a flu shot. Got one a couple of years ago with no bad affects, but don’t think we will press our luck.
Nana, I am now waiting to hear why you made the recent trip. Will you share?
Must get ready for work. Need to go throw a little makeup on the face. Later.
9:50 am on September 25th, 2014
Good morning, family.
That Nana…. Bet her family and MPM’s family could share some stories about extrodinary and formidable women
And we were wondering – if a chicken ate a diamond, wouldn’t it end up in her craw along with other little pebbles she ate?
10:28 am on September 25th, 2014
Spotted!…Chicken at a pawn shop squawking over price quoted for one earring. Seems the owner wants a set…snort!

Got some good pictures for you even if we got rained out. It was still a lot of fun, just going to Nationals Stadium and meeting so many from the nation within. They have a really good set-up there, as our seats are behind the out field, but there are picnic benches in the concourse area behind the seats and they even lay out some patches of grass for you know what. Our pups in the park game has been postponed to next year though.
The first picture is walking to the stadium. We went with some friends of Zeta’s mom and pop, who live near the stadium (well, within a couple of miles), so we parked at their house and trotted on over. The third dog in the picture is theirs, a real sweetie named Heaven. I think we make a great crew.

12:21 pm on September 25th, 2014
The next picture is me and Zeta with our dads. Ballpark playing field in the background. I hope everyone notices Zeta’s cool jersy in both photos.

12:22 pm on September 25th, 2014
HOH: May I please come to dinner?
12:28 pm on September 25th, 2014
One final picture. As I said we met a lot of really cool members of the nation within at the ballpark. But probably the coolest was a little guy named Junior. He was really nice, but I bet you can not guess what he is? Alright, a clue — he is a cross between a golden retriever and a dachshund — how about that!

We love your photos, Teddy. You all look so cool, and Zeta’s shirt is nice. (Whispering) A Phillies shirt would be prettier. Heh!
We have been promised a trip to a similar Bark in the Park for a long time. It has never happened. 🙁
12:49 pm on September 25th, 2014
Teddy, Thanks for the photos! What good looking dogs you guys are.
Zeta is one fine Siber girl in her jersey.
I know some Sibers and one pug that need a jersey.
12:51 pm on September 25th, 2014
Teddy and Zeta, looks like fun 🙂
Dawson, always enough for one more, pull up a chair!
OH, the Lookouts here do a similar event but too HOT when they do it 🙁
Love the retreiveschund arf, arf!
WE envy Zeta’s jersey, mom only gives us stupid holiday ones 🙁
1:32 pm on September 25th, 2014
Just saw a Hell’s Angels type flying down the road with one shiny diamond earring flashing in the sun.
Kool fotos, TeddyRR. Sorry your game got rained out but looks like youse had a fun time in spite of it. Love the raincoats and Zeta’s jersey (snicker. does this mean she’s a jersey girl?)
1:46 pm on September 25th, 2014
Oh, Masquers, ho, ho. Jersey girl 🙂

6.24 but deep. Deep is better than not so deep.
I am glad Hobbit and Rebecca checked in so quickly.
2:43 pm on September 25th, 2014
Reports on Facebookie say it was quite scary.
Glad most have reported in and are safe. Will feel much calmer when the Giant and Team are back at the Kennel.

Epicenter 60 miles west/northwest of Willow.
2:48 pm on September 25th, 2014
If they are out on a training run, they may not have felt it. We are hoping that is so.
2:49 pm on September 25th, 2014
Teddy!…On a happier note, here is a right-side-up photo of our Teddy and Zeta and some other guys at the ball park…snort!…You can see the rain cover out on the field…sniff!

sob, sob, sob, I am very WORRIT about Pixie, AJ, the dogs, and Hobbit. I hope everyone is okay, and no terrible damage was done. Worrit about the people, Mick and Jodi, too.
3:21 pm on September 25th, 2014
And with FOTM coming up it won’t be a moment too soon!
Rose: Yes, we are worrit about Mick & Jodi too.
3:23 pm on September 25th, 2014
I am watching the Weather Channel, but I haven’t heard anything so far. sob, sob, sob
3:25 pm on September 25th, 2014
The Fire Chief of Willow says there are no reports of major damage and no reports of injuries yet.
They may have dodged a bullet on this one because it was so deep.
3:48 pm on September 25th, 2014
I can report that our Pixie and the dogs are fine. Things were knocked from shelves, and frames from walls. Bigger damage hasn’t been determined yet.
Hobbit has not been home yet, but will check in.
3:52 pm on September 25th, 2014
On the baseball front, the Mets just took the lead from the Nats, 5-4 in the eighth.
Teddy: Youse look like you had lots of fun even though the game got rained out. Zeta looks her loveliest in her jersey. Fine bunch of nation members in the pics.
3:53 pm on September 25th, 2014
I haven’t been home yet. Expect books fallen off shelves and art on walls askew. I was at the gym all morning working out. Surrounded by weights and mirrors. Very strong. It lasted long enough to be worried about safety. I was on 2nd floor. Wondering how to evacuate. Probably my will have aftershocks. More later
3:58 pm on September 25th, 2014
6.2 earthquake centered near Talkeetna which is about 45 minute drive north of Willow. Some dogs act weird before a quake. I wonder if AJ could notice anything unusual in the kennel
4:08 pm on September 25th, 2014
A sad day in baseball for me….Derek Jeter’s last home game is tonight. I am inconsolable. sob, sob, sob, sob, sob, sob
4:10 pm on September 25th, 2014
Waiting to hear the all clear from everyone is Alaska. Glad Rebecca and Hobbit are ok.Bet the dogs at the kennel were yarking up a storm.
And we think the goldhund is very cute.
4:11 pm on September 25th, 2014
CHobbit!… Rebecca says AJ and Team are home from the run…snort!…He said they did not feel the quake. He is checking the property for damages…sniff!
4:17 pm on September 25th, 2014
My dog lady once sat up in bed at 2a.m. and howled. I hasn’t owned her very long. Five minutes later there was a big quake. This was when I was living an hour outside of Fairbanks. I was in the 1964 quake as a little girl. 9.2 or 9.4 I think. Lasted 5 minutes.
4:18 pm on September 25th, 2014
Thanks everyone for the latest reports.
4:20 pm on September 25th, 2014
C.Hobbit: 5 Minutes! yeep, Yeep, YEEP!!!
4:26 pm on September 25th, 2014
FIVE!…I can’t imagine being in a 5 minute earthquake…gah!…When Nanasan and I were visiting CHobbit she took us to Earthquake Park…wheeze!
4:46 pm on September 25th, 2014
HOH: Well…you did say at the break of day…this would be a thrilling Thursday.
5:01 pm on September 25th, 2014
Terrifying! …Would have been a better description…wheeeze!
5:02 pm on September 25th, 2014
What is at earthquake park?
I’ve seen programs on tv about that terrible Alaska earthquake.
5:09 pm on September 25th, 2014
The Hobbit Hotel is still standing and in good shape. Sadie met me at the door and wanted OUT OUT OUT and still hasn’t come back in. I had walked her before I went to the gym so I am assuming she feels safer outside. Yeep.
5:29 pm on September 25th, 2014
Sadie Bear is Safe! Thank Dog!
5:36 pm on September 25th, 2014
Good grief, Charlie Brown! Alaskan earthquake and a yellow jacket attack here. Yes, been at horse-pistol emergency room all afternoon with the DDD who hit a yellow jacket nest while moving dirt for a neighbor. 49 known stings later we have been sent home. He isn’t allergic so should heal as soon as the pain stops. Dawson, dinner is still on so come on down 🙂
GAH!. Quite a day 🙁 🙂 or ???
5:37 pm on September 25th, 2014
Sadie must have been really scared. I would be too. This is why we Members of the Nation should never stay home alone. That’s why I went to the neighbors yesterday. A story for another time.
People outdoors don’t always feel quakes like those who are indoors. I hope that is the same for guys like me do.
5:37 pm on September 25th, 2014
Earthquake Park!

5:38 pm on September 25th, 2014
5:41 pm on September 25th, 2014
DDD: Gah.

Zeus: This story for another day? We would like to hear it soon.
5:43 pm on September 25th, 2014
Where is Macy’s maw? She needs to post her tsunami sign.
5:43 pm on September 25th, 2014
Thanks Masquers. The park would be interesting.
HOH, We are glad DDD will be okay, but that is a lot of stings.
Zeus, Mom wants to know how you got out. My advice to you is to say nothing.
5:45 pm on September 25th, 2014
I missed HOH’s post. Hey, DDD! The same thing happened to me me me!!! Twins?
5:47 pm on September 25th, 2014
Siber, Mom took a walk. I lost her in the cornfield, and thought she left me. I went a ‘looking. I knocked on the neighbor’s door. They were so happy to meet me finally!
5:52 pm on September 25th, 2014
Zeusikõv: Heh, heh.
5:56 pm on September 25th, 2014
HOunds: Can we join youse, Barb&Magpie, and the Awesome One for dinner? It has been a Stressful Day.
6:12 pm on September 25th, 2014
HOH – YEEEPPPPP! Glad DDD is home and safe, but we bet he feels like carp.
So glad to hear that everyone in Alaska is safe and accounted for. My gosh.
How about if tomorrow we have a day without trauma. Anywhere. No wandering puppies, no earthquakes, no wildfires, no diamond eating chickens, no illness, or missed planes, or bee stings, or tripping over shadows (don’t ask) or anything. Lets just go for calm, ordinary, dare we say boring? Ok?
Whew.
6:14 pm on September 25th, 2014
Come one, Come all. Mom made enough Chicken parmesan for the whole blog. We will just have to share the pasta and sauce. Ready when y”all are 🙂 If’n it isn’t eaten tonight she’ll just freeze the left overs.
6:15 pm on September 25th, 2014
Tupper&Gilly: What you are saying is no Freaky Friday, right?
6:17 pm on September 25th, 2014
HOunds: Now That’s What I’m Talk’n About! (and freezing will not be an option)
6:39 pm on September 25th, 2014
Come on, BSD!
6:45 pm on September 25th, 2014
You Don’t Have to Ask Twice! I’m on the way.
7:12 pm on September 25th, 2014
Earthquake? 49 stings? After my strengthening cocktail, I’m going to bed.
7:16 pm on September 25th, 2014
Dinner sounds good. Although Isabel might have thought you were making jokes about chicken for dinner.
Tupper, you made a good point. Isabel might be keeping that diamond for extra grit. Morale of the story: don’t wear precious jewel when visiting the chicken coop!
Glad our Alaskan friends are all OK.
7:24 pm on September 25th, 2014
DDD: ouchy! Feel better soon. I am glad you are not allergic.
Before I forget, I want to thank everyone for checking in with me by text, FB and blog. I find it interesting that my real family didn’t but my virtual family was quick, loud and concerned as soon as they heard the news. You all are the best!
7:25 pm on September 25th, 2014
Luring Sadie inside with food. 🙂
I was at the store and saw “Pumpkin Spice Marshmellows.” I bet nuked in the microwave for a few minutes that they are tasty (but I didn’t buy any).
7:34 pm on September 25th, 2014
So glad that all my Alaskan family are okay. I was very worrit about both two-leggeds and four-leggeds.
I wonder if the earthquake shook all of my VBFF”s sparkles all over the kennel?
7:37 pm on September 25th, 2014
Ahem. After Saturday, I will no longer come home smelling like a cold-cut platter.
7:38 pm on September 25th, 2014
49 stings! That is terrible. Good thing he is not allergic.
Barb is mad at me. She was making a fish taco with fresh cod. I grabbed a piece and took off for the bedroom. Will she never learn!
I have heard from my pals in Alaska that frozen fish is good for me. So what’s her problem? She didn’t need a big dinner anyway. I was just trying to help her stay on her diet.
7:51 pm on September 25th, 2014
DDD, hope you are feeling tip-top soon.
7:52 pm on September 25th, 2014
Maggie! Who’s a good girl?
Barb, Mom never takes her earrings out. If she did, she would lose them for sure. I wonder how Izzy will like these pearls?
T&G! About those shadows…hmmm?
7:53 pm on September 25th, 2014
Wose! I didn’t even get to visit you in your deli!
7:55 pm on September 25th, 2014
Wose? Either you will be wearing a hazmat suit, or you are leaving all that baloney behind. Do tell…
Maggie, Maggie, Maggie. Glad that Lucy Ball is too short to be tempted into following in your footsteps.
Hobbit – yup. Families are weird. And we think you are probably ever so correct about the deliciousness factor of those marshmallows. Funny, we don’t like pumpkin pie, but anything else pumpkin flavored – we’re on it like a Corgi on an un-herded sheep.
8:04 pm on September 25th, 2014
Nuked, pumpkin spice? We are alkyl
Nuked pumpkin spice? We are all over it!
8:06 pm on September 25th, 2014
T & G, Barb uses this word when she describes my counter cruising exploits. Incorrigible, not sure what that means. I think it means that the extra treats are yummy.
Howlers, Barb once lost a David Yurman bracelet and finally found it stuck in some chicken wire by the coop.
Gotta go. New Bones and Parenthood on tonight. Sweet dreams all.
8:08 pm on September 25th, 2014
Kat, I am sorry I did not last long enough in this job for you to visit. I would have had a nice London broil ready for you.
So what happened? The job and I just didn’t click. My psych, my therapist, and Grizz all thought getting out for a few hours a week would be good. The truth is, I would rather be home and be depressed, than be in that deli and be depressed. I think the real reason I made my decision was because there was just no organization in the dept.
Now, it is back to finding a forever job.
8:11 pm on September 25th, 2014
Where is Rio?
8:23 pm on September 25th, 2014
It is time for me to take my pills, and say good night. May the Creator watch over my Alaskan family, and keep them safe. May the Creator also watch over all the Plunderer family.
8:57 pm on September 25th, 2014
HOH: I’m in for dinner!
I’m curious to see what 49 (at least) yellow jacket stings looks like. Ouch!
Yikes!
Glad all our Alaskan family rode out the earthquake with no injuries.
Wose: Happy dreams!
9:01 pm on September 25th, 2014
Much has happened today at Chet’s place, and we are glad to hear that everyone is safe and sound. Mom is feeling a little depressed because the Giants (the baseball team, not the mushers) splorted their winning season away and never reclaimed it.
9:02 pm on September 25th, 2014
My dearest friend, Rose, may the Creator do the same for you.

I am snuffeling and sniffing and have a sore throat. I am having a good time under the quilt. Does anyone want to play some cards? Tenzing won’t play with me. He says he didn’t know I was coming and he isn’t wearing enough. phooey.

We are safe here. We have also heard from Jodi. They are safe as well with no major damage.
Wose: Sometimes a job is the wrong fit. It happens. But, you wouldn’t have known unless you tried. Trying is a good thing. So is one last round of soaking up deli smells in my fur. I will be there to help you on your last day clad in my fur net. Licks and head bumps to my girl.
Rio: Speaking of licks, maybe I should lick your friend’s eyeball. My mama says mama spit has medicinal properties. It’s also great at getting out stains.
Staff: I tucked Digger in the quilt earlier today. He may be up for a card game. Tenzing can be a great pillow. Be forewarned, the Thieves are in the process of procuring extra collars, harnesses, and tugs for Tenz to wear.
Hobbit: We are glad you and Sadie are safe.
10:52 pm on September 25th, 2014
Stover!….”Scorpions”…snort!…New show – maybe a must see. Still checking it out…grunt!…Also, once and or if you decide to read “We are all beside ourselves”, please do not google anything about it. Let the story take you on the ride with no upfront knowledge….heh!heh!…My friend says now her eye just burns like a campfire…progress!
10:54 pm on September 25th, 2014
Luna!…Any help here would be appreciated – maybe not so much by my friend, but that is beside the point..grunt!
10:59 pm on September 25th, 2014
Rio: I’m on my way. I’ll have the Thieves! with me so they can distract her and I can attack, er, I mean administer medical treatment from behind.
11:09 pm on September 25th, 2014
Weeping!…Now the right eye is weeping just for the heck of mimicking the left …grunt!…The thing is there is no reason for alarm. The allergy level to something was very high so says my friend. Definitely no need for Luna Licking Remedies…heh!
Earthquake!…And aftershocks still take precedence worry-wise for us here…grunt!
11:12 pm on September 25th, 2014
I will tell you what has me worrit is my sparkles. I tried to protect all my shiny bits and pieces during the quake, but there is some glitter unaccounted for at present. Either it met its fate at the claws of the quake or that Damn Pixie who Stole my Sparkles stole my sparkles in all the excitement.
11:14 pm on September 25th, 2014
Rio: I think I’ll give her eyeball a good once over just to be safe.
11:17 pm on September 25th, 2014
Rose, so sorry to hear that the job did not work out. You were my inspiration for getting out there. Actually, you still are. I’ve just got to try, cuz nobody is knocking on my door offering me any jobs.
