Random Amazon Review We Like
A Language-Lover’s Delight, October 7, 2013
I am a retired English teacher, and love the English language. What could be better than an interesting adventure told by a dog named Chet who has more muscle than brains! He rides shotgun for his owner, detective Bernie Little, who converses with Chet mostly in puns and idioms which Chet puzzles over but never understands. For instance, someone tells Bernie he is “wet behind the ears”. Well, Chet examines Bernie’s ears, finds them dry, and then licks the closest one.” Now it’s wet,” he thinks. This stuff goes on and on. There is also a lot of excitement as the duo try to find a missing man in the deep South, and end up in the Gulf more than once. You will love this book!
