Raffa (More)

Sue, the human companion of Raffa, Chet’s January Friend of the Month, tells us a little about him:

“Raffa picked me the day he was born next door. He lives on a small ranch in San Diego helping with chores. We do sheep herding and the Post Office, Bank, Pharmacy and Feed Store all welcome him with a special cookie. Kind of like Chet. A true partner.”

Love hearing about Raffa! Good boy!

I am baking not-from-scratch Toll House cookies. Is that still considered baking?

    Good day to all!

Wow, not a lot of talk on the blog today. I love the look of Raffa. He is a smart good looking dog.

I am making creamed potatoesand ham. Not scalloped, cubed. Or as close to cubed as Mr.Fireslippers can get. (not very close)
It is starting to smell good here.

Hi, guys! Mom is trying to stay focused on packing. And not taking too many breaks.

Even the description of Raffa sounds like Chet! What a great guy to start out 2019!

Satff: Don’t let Rio or the Thieves! know you are making ham…

HOH: I didn’t even have to use a spoon to make the cookies. They were pre-cut; all I did was pull them apart. :^)

Rose!…My friend used to be able to make the best thin and crispy chocolate chip cookies from scratch in Colo. But since moving here her recipe does not work….grunt!…She has no idea how to change it to make thin and crispy instead of thick and buggery…sniffle!

Rio: Sadie and I had ham also for a few days. I wasn’t going to tell you until Staffie spoke up. We hadn’t tasted ham in YEARS. It was wonderful and Sadie got to finish off gnawing on the bone.

We are having a cold spell and haven’t had a decent walk in a few days.

Not long ago I bought liverwurst and had a sandwich–the first in years and it was yummy.

Now I am thinking of spam.

    What has happened to me?

Oh, Hobbitz, you are becoming our parents.
    Maybe we all are.
