How can the woman who rescued Tarra, who has been her devoted companion for 25 some years, now be separated from her beloved elephants and barred from the very Sanctuary (also her home) she created? Was working on a certain cake last night, but Franklin’s tail hit the cancel button on the oven. I kept checking and checking and checking and it took me forever to figure out why the cake was liquid!
Finally got it done and Mattie and Rose ate the third and fourth layers. Jeez Louise, I grabbed the last two layers and hid them . . . Unbelievable!
On pain of not eating for a day, Mac has taken this and blurred it over to some fancy hotel in Boston. Sure hope it gets there!

Hello all. We had to catch up on last night’s blog just now. T&G, we loved the story honoring our veterans and thank you for reminding us all that Veterans Day is a week from today.
Rebecca, we just had time to catch up on Wednesday night too…didn’t realize we had missed that. So glad the girls arrived home safely and that they enjoyed their travels. Shiek especially enjoyed meeting such mannerly husky girls, and he said they were very good in teaching manners to Kat.

Hmmm, there’s the Crossword dude on NPR who does a word puzzle on Sundays or Saturdays. By the time I figure out what on earth the directions mean, it’s already over. I’m never going to try to be on that thing!
The Pack is always telling me that God is just Dog spelled backwards. There was a book by Koontz where people discover that dogs have a direct line to “Other”. That’s that BIG Other out there. Pretty cool book. I wonder what it was . . . Pondering.
Dan and I just finished watching the first episode of “Flying Wild Alaska”. Netflix streaming. I had heard about it through some of the Alaska blogs I read and it was given very good reviews from Alaskans. Dan loved it because of the planes. He flew before he drove a car! And I loved the scenery. Just beautiful.
Okay one other thing for now . . . Here’s another murmuration video. It was shot on Loch Derg in County Clare, Ireland. The starlings are much closer and divide into many subgroups. Amazing.

Rose: Belle Starr has become spoiled. She has staked claim to all three dog pillows we have in the house in addition to the bed she allows AJ and I to use. I hope she had better manners on her visit.
The team took to the hills today using sled for the first time this season. They just returned and had a great time. I couldn’t help but think that Siber-H would fit right in and would love the snow.

Daylight Savings Time does not start Saturday night; it ends Satursay night, and Standard Time starts. So as of Sunday we here on the East Coast will be Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Motivation!…. Wooooo!… We are watching the latest episode of The Biggest Loser…snort!… This show is amazing. The people on it are amazing. Time change is a stupid human invention. I prefer not to think about the time change. My body takes forever to get used to it. I remember coming back from London and with my liver, biorhythms are hell. I got stuck in a time zone half way in the Atlantic Ocean for a month. Jeez Louise! We think that we should all act like it is Black Friday on Sunday and go stand outside the doors of the MMS until they open. Then we run in and buy everything in site (yes, Bee, it was a deliberate pun).
Basil and Sage are having fits over a green rubber spring. Its a riot. They have killed that poor spring about 17 times by now.
Can’t wait to hear more about Boston from Wookie’s family. Wonder which of the ritzy hotels they stayed in.
Mama has a show at the Prudential Center in Boston in December. When she looked up the location of their booth, she saw it was right outside one of the hotels, so she thought she would check the rates there. YIKES!! Rooms START at $455 a night. Can they really be doing anything LEGAL for that kind of price??
