We cannot bear to read this Heartbreaking News.
R.I.P. All Wolves that have been hunted down everywhere.

Here maybe for half a minute if we are lucky.
TechnoKat has been working through the night.
Hi Belle!
Have a Great Day Everyone.
9:23 am on December 9th, 2012
Good morning, Bear and everyone. Happy Egg Day, or at least it was happy until we read that sad article. The Alpha Female no less. Sniff
Mom says she hates people, but how can that be? She is a people and so is
Pop, and they are great. And there are many Plunderers on this here blog who are people, and they are great too, then there is Bernie, and also Dima’s best friend Drew. They are people. So Mom is wrong. There are only some people to hate, not all. But there are no doggies to hate, at least nonethat we have ever met.
9:42 am on December 9th, 2012
Good morning all.
9:45 am on December 9th, 2012
Morning all. Day 3 of the show. All that’s left is to sell out everything so we don’t have to pack it.
Howlers – Mama understands. We think that it may have something to do with not having fur. We never met a fur being that was cruel just for the sake of being cruel. And we think that the people who do this sort of thing must have been treated very badly when they were pups and are therefore damaged on the inside. We bet they never wag and woo woo with joy, but can only find “happiness” in being mean.
Thank dog no one on this here blog is like that.
10:49 am on December 9th, 2012
T&G, we hope your mom has nothing to pack up when this show is over, except your dad and herself! Wooo!
11:11 am on December 9th, 2012
I’m glad Spence brought the murder of Wolf 832F to our attention. I am furious that they are allowing the hunting of these wolves in the Northern Rockies.
11:13 am on December 9th, 2012
Royals, Best of luck today!
11:25 am on December 9th, 2012
Greetings All!
I am very sad after reading that article. And I was watching Chris Wallace’s show, and he did a tribute to his yellow lab, Winston, who had to be put down. Mr. Wallace got choked up at the end. I started to cry thinking about my awesome Kat, Kelly, my friend Zelda, and many other four-leggeds who have passed over the bridge.
T&G, hope your mum and da have a most excellent sale day today! Anyone who passes by their booth, doesn’t know what they are missing.
Rebecca, please, please, please take good care of yourself. I will buy a tape measure today and find out how flat, er, the size of my head is.
11:29 am on December 9th, 2012
Well I read it and I almost wish I didn’t, because it made me sad and angry. Wolves have be so unfairly maligned throughout history. We can’t do much, but we do contribute to Defenders of Wildlife, an organization that trys to protect the wolf.
We agree with Oley’s mom. We hate hunting and can’t understand how anyone can find pleasure in taking a life. If you have to hunt to eat, that is one thing, to do do it for fun is just wrong.
When Alpha wolf is taken down, who steps up?
11:29 am on December 9th, 2012
Good Sunday morning, plunderers and greetings from the middle of the mitten. Finally got our first real snow yesterday, but it’s still too warm, so that snow is all gone today.
Mom has been quilting like crazy, nothing but sew, sew, sew around here.
Snowbella: haven’t heard from you where to send the quilts that I supervised. Mom says try that SDD yahoo thingy. She’s worried that if the quilts are for Christmas gifts she needs to get them boxed and mailed.
Mom left me home alone! alone! alone! on Friday when she went to Grand Rapids for her dentist appointment. While there, my two-legged brother decided mom needed back brake pads and he’d install them for her while she waited. Two broken bolts later, mom is driving a rental while she is waiting for parts to be shipped “maybe” sometime next week. She says she enjoys the Jeep Liberty because it sits higher than her Camry, and the sportiness is fun, but she’d rather have comfort, a quieter ride and luxury bells and whistles. Of course, she shares that comfort and luxury with me! me! me! and I dig that stuff like SiberH in his back yard.
Mom’s thinking about putting the Christmas tree up, but she’d rather sew, and there she goes again, back to the kitchen table, snip, snip, whir, whir…
Bye bye.

Fargo, my main leader and the Alpha of the kennel passed away two years ago. Bridger—always second in command—took his place as alpha. Now, that Bridger has passed, we are alpha-less. I think Fritzay become the alpha, but he is young, yet.
11:37 am on December 9th, 2012
Jasper: Plesae check your SDD.
11:42 am on December 9th, 2012
Fritz may, Fritzay. Gah!
11:49 am on December 9th, 2012
Jasper, Good to hear from you! I won the color quilt in the auction, but it is from me to my mom for Christmas. Mom knows about it because she had to write out the check for me. Don’t worry, she doesn’t have to have it by Christmas time.
11:50 am on December 9th, 2012
Wrapping gifts here. Went to see Santa on the Square last night, and here are two pics of the kids. As you can see, Lyla is a little nervous and uptight. Jack was going to snuggle in and take a nap. Funny!
Good luck to A & L at the shew. Hope there are lots of holiday shoppers out there with loot in their wallets.
Gus is leaving this afternoon. Sob.

11:51 am on December 9th, 2012
11:56 am on December 9th, 2012
Jack knows a good lap when he finds it.
12:05 pm on December 9th, 2012
Great pictures Barb.
12:24 pm on December 9th, 2012
Great Santa pics, B&M! Hey, Jack is just like Dima…he gets comfortable and nap-ready wherever he is too! We think Jack was sending telepathic messages to the Claus! And Lyla looks like she just wants to be super sure that Santa can read her list. Smart woman!
12:35 pm on December 9th, 2012
Snickering about “standard” poodles and “nervous laughter” from Lefty, Pancho and Rio.
1:10 pm on December 9th, 2012
We said we would post a picture of our little tree. It is small but cute. And it will be easy to take down.
1:36 pm on December 9th, 2012
I think that Fritzay sounds like a fine alpha name!
1:48 pm on December 9th, 2012
Maybe this will work.
1:49 pm on December 9th, 2012
Maybe not. I was trying to embed something.
1:50 pm on December 9th, 2012
Hi Wolfie, good to see you. Merry Christmas!
1:52 pm on December 9th, 2012
Nice tree Barb. I also like your hardwood floor.
Nice to hear from you Wolfie.
1:58 pm on December 9th, 2012
Thank you, Bee.
Wolfie, What is going on with the boys and pending fatherhood?
Are you doing any toffee this year?
1:58 pm on December 9th, 2012
Macy, Is “embed” like taking a nap?
Good morning all or afternoon as the case may be. I went on the walk / run today with everyone! Mattie decided to go walk about. We all got tired out but it was great.
Great pictures MagPie! The Pack don’t pictures that well.
Well, it’s time to do something. Have no idea what.
2:07 pm on December 9th, 2012
Sam got her egg for breakfast and I thought she’d be happy, but now she wants a hemet, goggles and a snowboard to go with her snow parka. I took her to the ski shop to see if they have her size. Well, of course they don’t so now she’s pouting.
2:11 pm on December 9th, 2012
Presents!…Now that the tree is almost done, she still has find that box of special ornaments and of course hang the Rockies one that Rose sent me in a very special place…heh!…But for now we are going to Wrap!Wrap!Wrap! gifts till forever and forever…wooooOOOooooOOOOO!
2:46 pm on December 9th, 2012
Embed, heh-heh
Sammie, knock off the pouting. At least you get snow.
2:49 pm on December 9th, 2012
Wolves!
I am a friend of wolves. Those wolves came from Canada.
Snow!
The kind that you can make good snow forts and snow women out of. The snow up North is like sugar – it doesn’t pack together.
I shoveled one lane down the sidewalk to get out and by the time I returned I couldn’t tell it had been shoveled.
Staff is supposed to be quilting but she is stuck on the computer wasting time. Tsk, tsk, tsk!
I do have access to Dad’s computer so if anyone feels the need to donate to checkpoints go right ahead. I will send you an acknowledgement.
3:15 pm on December 9th, 2012
We are all staying indoors today because it is raining and yucky. Mom and Pop had some homemade tomato soup, frozen in summer, and grilled cheese sandwiches on just-baked whole wheat break. We are singing for our suppers, but Mom keeps saying it is too early. 🙁
4:29 pm on December 9th, 2012
Early flight! My Lady’s meeting ended early and she was able to get on the early flight home! She was worried about arriving late at night and them driving 75 miles home on icy roads in the dark. Woohoo! This means belly runs are in my nearer future.
4:51 pm on December 9th, 2012
Melanie – How is Zoe feeling today? What’s for dinner?
4:51 pm on December 9th, 2012
Hi Jasper! I won the Christmas quilt, but it is for me, so no rush about sending it out.
Hi Wolfie: I have missed you. Hope you and yours are doing well!
Sammy would look marvelous as a snow bunny!
B&M: Love the pics of the kids with Santa! Your tree may be tiny, but it is very festive.
5:14 pm on December 9th, 2012
Santa!…The little girl was smart, she brought a list for Santa…snort!…The little boy on the other hand is trying to wing-it from memory…heh!heh!
Jasper!…Good to hear from ya pal!…sniff!…Your maw is sure taking to all that Quilting. One day she will be up there with Staff and Wookie’s Maw…snorkel!…Seein as we have 3 famous quilters on this here blog we might want to think about making another Blog-Quilt for Chet n’ Bernie…snort!…Maybe sometime next year….hmmmm..
5:18 pm on December 9th, 2012
Sammie!…I can definitely picture lil’ Sammie snowboarding…heh!heh!
Rebecca!…What a relief it is to hear you will be home early…snort!…I do tend to worry about you when you are in the Wilds of Alaska…sniff!…Be sure to give Rio Junior some extra grub this evening and lots of scritches about the ears…wuffle!
5:22 pm on December 9th, 2012
Barb!…One or two or three of those presents are for me, right?…snort!…She took a photo of our little tree and will hopefully post it later…grunt!…It’s time-out from all that wrapping and later, LASAGNA!….Wooooo!….Someone still has to make it though…wheeze!…..Whatever, LASAGNA is a’coming up!….WoooooOOOOOoooOOOOOoooo!
7:01 pm on December 9th, 2012
Alone!….WoooooOOOOoooooOOOooo..sniffle!…All alone and waiting for my supper….sniff!sniff!
7:03 pm on December 9th, 2012
I just watched the last episode of Elementary. Good as usual.
7:10 pm on December 9th, 2012
Molly’s Mom is in the shower so I have to be quick.
I think she’s trying to kill me. We had another brutal walk! Really brutal. Help! Someone help me.
7:12 pm on December 9th, 2012
Stover!…Are you talking about season two?…sniff!…We are going to watch more of Elementary after our awesome supper…snort!…Someone got busy and distracted last night and so we never finished the first episode of the first cd of season two…grunt!
7:14 pm on December 9th, 2012
Hi All, been working off our tails today. The Pack had a great time. Unfortunately, they got into stickers. Rose (the four footed) is going to hane to hane some shaving in the near future.
Zoe is considering going to a support group that is starting up in January. I hope she does it.
Dinner was hamburgers on gluten free buns. We should next week if Zoe has celiac.
Zoe LOVED “Strictly Ballroom”. My sister came by today and she saw it big screen a long time ago. She’s going to watch again. I asked her if she had ever seen “Cosi” and she hadn’t. She’s borrowing my copy.
7:14 pm on December 9th, 2012
Sammie!…heh!heh!heh!….Now you feel my pain…sniff!…At least during the Spring, Summer and Fall I have pain – not so much in the winter time…grunt!
7:21 pm on December 9th, 2012
It’s fascinating to write on the iPaw. I never know what it’s going to write next.
Sam, keep thing about your career. You have to be able to work long hours. The brutal walks will help.
Rio, I’m not sure the walks would help you with your film career.
B.Stover will have to watch it tomorrow. Tonight watching the San Fransico Ballet doing a version of “The Nutcracker”.
7:22 pm on December 9th, 2012
Melanie!…Is ‘Strictly Ballroom’ the foreign film set in Japan?….snort!…That’s the one my friend is thinking you are talking about, but quite possibly you are referring to something entirely different…chuffle!
7:37 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio, this is a funny, a bit over the top, movie from Australia. Right now it’s on free Netfix streaming.
7:43 pm on December 9th, 2012
I remember seeing Strictly Ballroom on the big screen too. Hilarious.
7:56 pm on December 9th, 2012
Sammy: I refreshed the dog paths in my snowy backyard so that the dogs can walk/run in comfort. Am I a good mom or not?
Warm all this week–near zero. Warm weather = snow. So I spent 75 minutes shoveling. All good but more snow expected this week. In a couple of hours I am going to the ice park to help serve dinner to the carvers. Will help tomorrow also. Last week it was too cold to carve the ice (-45). This week will be perfect.
7:59 pm on December 9th, 2012
Another early night. This Nutcrrackerwas good. Traditional. I have to say my favorite on is Berisnacoff. Well, that is as close as the iPaw is voting to let me get with that spelling?
TTFN
8:07 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio: Sherlock (with Martin Freeman as Watson) is on dvd–first and second seasons. I’m watching Elementary on On Demand. It’s the one with Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock and Lucy Liu as Joan Watson.
Sam is making me laugh.
8:18 pm on December 9th, 2012
Dance!….Awww, the only movie like that my friend says she has seen is “Shall We Dance” – a 1996 Japanese film which was quite excellant…grunt!…It was not overly hilarious.
8:20 pm on December 9th, 2012
Stover!…I am confusing the versions of Sherlock Holmes that are out there right now…heh!heh!sneeze!
8:22 pm on December 9th, 2012
CHobbit!…How the hell do you serve food to Ice Carvers?…snort!…Please take some photos if you can while you are dishing out chili or something hot for those guys…wheeze!
8:35 pm on December 9th, 2012
Busy day here and we are tired, too. Time to kick back and watch a little tv before beddy bye.
See you all tomorrow.
8:39 pm on December 9th, 2012
Barb!…You never answered me about how many presents are mine under that tree of yours…snort!..Are you avoiding the question?
8:41 pm on December 9th, 2012
Supper!…It was Delish! What little Beau and I got to taste of it…grunt!…Her mother is in one of her moods tonight. Nothing is good. All is bad….heh!heh!…Too bad for her.
8:52 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio, Not sure if those gifts would be to your liking. Mostly books and toys for kids, and not of the baseball variety. I will look and see if there are any chew strips that I could send.
8:59 pm on December 9th, 2012
Barb!…Chewie strips would be just right…snort!heh!…I knew you had something for me under there…snorkel!
Tree!…With a ton of help from me yesterday and today my friend has transformed our downstairs hide-away into quite a cozy little christmas hobbit village…snuffle!…Candles, tree, presents, poinsettias and knicknacks. Heck it’s just wonderful…sigh!!!… Here is a photo of my tree so far! It is not completely completed yet…grunt!
9:03 pm on December 9th, 2012
Well we got our 4-6 inches of snow. Then it kept snowing. At 3:00 I went out to find the car before it got dark. I took a ruler. I stuck it in the snow in a flat part of the yard and it said 12-1/2 inches. It has been snowing since. It is still snowing. They say another 1-3 inches overnight.

My car is under this pile of snow…
When Dawson brings snow she doesn’t stint.
By the way it is supposed to be headed to Michigan. I heard that on the radio.
9:06 pm on December 9th, 2012
This is sticky snow. It is piled up on the neighbors chain linked fence at least 6 inches high. Even on small branches it is stacked up tall.

It is supposed to get windy tonight so I suppose all this will blow off. I am glad I am not in the country today. Blizzards are always worse in the open.
9:08 pm on December 9th, 2012
Staff!…Your winter-wonderland photos make me very glad that I am in my Christmas-Hobbit-Hole warm and safe from snow and ice and wind….wheeze!shudder!
9:11 pm on December 9th, 2012
Great tree and presents Rio.
Lovely pictures Staff. It may snow in the UP but I don’t think we are getting snow here. It’s raining and is supposed to continue raining for the next three days.
9:15 pm on December 9th, 2012
Naw!…phhoooey!….I know for a fact none of those presents under MY TREE are for me…grump!
9:19 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio: remember that I know Santa personally. Perhaps you need to change your personality and moniker to “Rio-The Nice Pug” just until Christmas. Good deeds, compliments, being nice to Beau. You get the picture.
9:25 pm on December 9th, 2012
CHobbit!…Nothing is more fun than getting something from The North Pole…heh!…But as for the picture you paint, it’s just not for me…grunt!…I’m sure I will make out okay at Christmas because my friend doesn’t know half the stuff I get up to all year long…chorkel!
9:31 pm on December 9th, 2012
Stover!…I read an article this morning that quoted the director of “The Hobbit” saying, “Martin Freeman was born to play Bilbo Baggins.”….grunt!
9:38 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio, That tree doesn’t look like a little one. It is pretty. I like the way the blue shines on it.
Staff, What can I say. I am so jealous.
9:40 pm on December 9th, 2012
SiberH!…Its not a full grown tree…sniff!…It is only 4.5 Newf paws high…heh!heh!…It has been Booby-Kat-proofed.
9:43 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio: I think that Martin Freeman is a good actor.
9:43 pm on December 9th, 2012
Mr.Husky,
If you came up here we could cover you in snow. The while Pearl like Lab who lives across the street was having lots of fun this afternoon while I was trying to uncover the van.
By the way see all those snow covered branches over the car? As soon as I stepped up to the car the tree dumped a big pile of snow on me. It made Dawson laugh when I came in and my hat looked like a marshmallow.
The back of my neck wasn’t too warm either.
10:20 pm on December 9th, 2012
Home! Safe! I slipped and slid all way home, but I am home. AJ was training the team when I go home, so I haven’t seen him yet, but I did greet Junior. He greeted me back with a tail wag and an arroooh.
Rio the not so naughty pug: your tree is beautiful! It helps get me in the Christmas spirit which I have had a hard time getting into this year.
Tomorrow might be a good day to watch your mailboxes if the MGs don’t have their way. The post office said packages would start arriving tomorrow!
10:22 pm on December 9th, 2012
Sherlock!…We are watching The Hounds of Baskerville, the second episode of the Sherlock series….snort!…This story has always scared me and this show is making it very scary indeed!…shudder!wheeze!…The worst thing is I can not quite remember how it ends…sneeze!
10:25 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rebecca!…snort!…Rebecca! Rebecca!….wheeze!…You are home and safe and sound and thank goodness….grunt!…Don’t ever go away again, you hear!…wuffle!
10:43 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio: I promise not to do it again until later this week when I hit the road again.
10:47 pm on December 9th, 2012
AWWWW!…I can’t look!…wheeze!…This is way worse than the books…gah!
10:47 pm on December 9th, 2012
We are home too – no slipping and sliding, but lots of speeding. It seems that if you are driving out of Boston on a Sunday night it is mandatory to go at least 75 mph. If you go any slower than that, they blow your doors right off. So, Mama made the 2 and a half hour trip in 1 hour and 50 minutes. She thought it was kind of exciting.
Dad is a funny color.
10:49 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rebecca!…Thats not a very good promise…sniff!..You are talking to the worlds biggest bull sh-tter you know….heh!…The Hounds of Baskerville is very scary, you showed up in the nick of time…wuffle!
10:51 pm on December 9th, 2012
Golinka!…Hey! Everybody is home safe and sound now to with loads of cash in her paws…wheeze!…This is a very good night indeed.
10:54 pm on December 9th, 2012
ummmn – Rio- as to that loads of cash part……well, not so much.
But we are home. And that’s a GOOD thing.
10:57 pm on December 9th, 2012
Home!….Waving Loads of Cash would have made for a more exciting entrance….grunt!
11:11 pm on December 9th, 2012
Good-grief!…This Hounds of Baskerville is really really scary again!…wheeze!…I am never ever watching or reading this story again after this…shudder!
11:11 pm on December 9th, 2012
I am crossing that the waving loads of cash occurs for the next Royal show.
Rio: I make the best promise I can at this time. Luna assures me she has everything under control while I’m away.
11:13 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio – Dad said that Mama’s two wheeled entrance to the driveway, and skidding stop was excitement enough for him.
Dad’s not much of a daredevil.
11:17 pm on December 9th, 2012
Tupper!…heh!snort!heh!…Comic relief after a very scary scene in Sherlock…heh!shudder!
11:19 pm on December 9th, 2012
Scary!…How many scary scenes will there be before we finally know who the real culprit is… (((gah!)))
11:23 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio: Are you going to be able to sleep tonight or will you be too scarit?
11:26 pm on December 9th, 2012
Scarit?…sniff!…I will sleep fine, thank you very much. I’m not the sort that takes this sort of thing to my warm soft bed with me…heh!heh!…My baseball bat will be right there if I need it…snort!
11:34 pm on December 9th, 2012
Rio: it sounds like you are prepared come what may.
11:42 pm on December 9th, 2012
We are going to climb into our nice soft bed at home and dream of lots of customers with fat wallets and low sales resistance for next weekend.
G’night all

Belle Starr is making demands of the belly rubbing nature. I must tend to my overdue snuggles. Nighty noodle.
11:44 pm on December 9th, 2012
Wow!…Good show!…heh!heh!…Now its time for me to go to bed…wuffle!snuffle!…Goodnight all you late nighters!
11:54 pm on December 9th, 2012
Love the snow pictures. We have a tiny chance of snow before daybreak. Mr. Husky, did you get any of that precip in NM? At least it looks like you are getting some nice cold air.
Royals, glad your folks made it home save and sound. We have a toll road down here on which the speed limit is 85! The exits go by really quickly, or so I’ve heard.
5:37 pm on December 10th, 2012
Thank you for the pronounciation Barb.
I don’t get the “I” from “va” part T&G.

Hi, yeah this piece of writing is truly good and I have learned lot of things from it
concerning blogging. thanks.
