Very nice pictures and SPAQ's smile looks perfect. Looks like everything is still intact, CH-ET!
3:54 am on September 21st, 2010
Thank you Spence and Admin. That looks perfect! (The office looks like a nice, light and airy workplace. Lovely.) Yes, and in one week….Thank you again (this time for Chet and Bernie).
4:37 am on September 21st, 2010
Wow!…Oh boy! Oh boy!…There it is! There is our Quilt and the Charming Mr. Abrahams standing right beside it!…snort!… How awesome is that?
4:49 am on September 21st, 2010
And he is wearing black so he matches the quilt! Good looking picture. Nice to see all those kats up on the wall!. Oh and the dogs too. I suppose.

Color!….Yes, that was very nice of him to color coordinate with the Quilt…heh!
5:00 am on September 21st, 2010
Rio – I saw on TV this morning that there's a big bed bug conference in Chcago today. Will you be there?
5:00 am on September 21st, 2010
All the Cats and doggies look their very best. Chet, you deserve bacon for resisting the quilt. Thank you for posting the picture of the quilt "in vivo."
Hmmm…bacon….
5:10 am on September 21st, 2010
Molly!… No, I am not allowed to leave the yard…. snort!… but Rockie and his Hillbilly friends will be there. They are especially looking forward to lunch….sneeze!
5:59 am on September 21st, 2010
Hey! Someone told me that it has already snowed in Minnesota and North Dakota. Is that true? Can't believe someone besides the arctic is getting snow first…last night I took my dogs out on the flood plain. My old sled dog who was definitely bred to run was going crazy–flat out running in huge circles around me and my other dog–I haven't seen her do that in a long time. I thought her genetic memory must have kicked in triggered by her smelling the hint of snow. But the weather people still say it is to be sunny next week with a high in the 40s during the day and in the 20s at night. {{{sigh}}} First snows are still exciting after all these years so I am impatient for the flakes.
6:06 am on September 21st, 2010
All the cats and dogs cleaned up well for their picture on the quilt and the lighting shows off the quilt to it's best advantage. As long as those baseballs don't pop off… Che-et?
C.Harris: I heard about snow on the news a week ago in Minnesota and called home to find out. Dad just laughed and said,"Where'd you hear that."
6:09 am on September 21st, 2010
Hi C. Harris. I don't know about N. Dakota or Minnesota but today in Michigan it's supposed to get to 86. It will cool off again later this week. We have beautiful fall colors to get to before flakes start falling here. I hope they start falling for you and your two four-legged companions soon.
6:11 am on September 21st, 2010
First: The quilt looks great and so does PSQA. That smile is not too much. I'm glad he didn't listen to Admin. And Chet showed restraint. That's awesome.
Second: This is who I've heard from about the book . . .
Chet
Barb&Maggie
MollyPop
Sam
B.Stover
Molly, A Black Poodle
Staff
Macy, the MinPin (Texas was mentioned, so I think this is Macy, TMP)
Bluecat
Let me know! That includes all you Plunderers!
6:14 am on September 21st, 2010
CHarris!… We were listening to the news the other day and we heard about all the Walrus’s that are holed up the Alaskan Arctic coastline because the sea ice isn’t there for them to rest on when they are out feeding….grunt! …There is fear that the little ones will be trampled in stampedes or something because there are thousands of them all pushed together … snort!
6:15 am on September 21st, 2010
I'm curious about this bed bug conference in Chicago. Is it a conference to address the bed bug issue or is it a conference that bed bugs from around the country are attending? Maybe they are forming their own political party — the Bed Bug Party (as a counterbalance to the Tea Party). If the latter, it would seem to me that if you can get all the bed bugs in one place, it would be very easy to eliminate the problem. I hope Rockie is on top of the situation and that there are no wayward wine corks in the vicinity to distract him. Wookie
6:16 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie!… Ooops! I knew I forgot to do something…snort!… You will be hearing from me shortly!! Don’t leave me off the “Dan” list!….wheeze!
6:22 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie, I forgot too, but just sent an email. Wookie
6:23 am on September 21st, 2010
C.Harris: you are also a Plunderer. Make sure you read yesterday's posting near the end after ALL the TALK about tags.
6:40 am on September 21st, 2010
Thank you for the pictures of Spence and the quilt! They look very nice together and his smile is great. That's a good picture of Spence. YES!!! One week from today!! We are ready!!!
CHarris, Think of me when the flakes start flying because we suppose to have even less moisture than normal. In the years we get less moisture, the Pacific Northwest gets more moisture. I don't know if that would also be true of Alaska.
So, Rocky and his hillbilly gang are going to be unsupervised in Chicago. PARTY TIME!!
6:42 am on September 21st, 2010
Wookie!… heh! snort! heh!…The Bed Bug Party….good one chappy!
Alas!… Although Bed Bugs are very organized and creative, they lack the communication skills to arrange a Conference….snort!… Getting to Chicago would not be a problem, as they travel around the country freely on a daily basis….wheeze!… Their political views are very single minded. “To Feed and Feed Again” is the slogan that unites them. …grunt!….Rockie and his gang will (hopefully) be attending talks on the most efficient way to find and destroy the little buggers! … wheeze!
6:46 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie, I didn't forget…am sending you an email this morning with a code word in it so you will know it is really from me. Mom told me last night that it was getting too late to email you, and that if I waited till this morning my typing and technical skills might be better. Mom gets some daft ideas sometimes.
6:46 am on September 21st, 2010
Wookie: That's great…The Bedbug Party.
6:51 am on September 21st, 2010
Thanks for the great picture of Spence and the Quilt. The smile is perfect. I bet the Quilt will be a conversation piece and maybe it will inspire him to write the next book very quickly.
7:02 am on September 21st, 2010
Kirby: Re Ridley Pearson – I have read some of the books he writes about Lou Boldt who is a homicide detective in Seattle. He has a new series about Walt Fleming, a Sheriff in Sun Valley. I like the new series best. The latest one is called In Harm's Way.
7:18 am on September 21st, 2010
Mollie (ABP) Mom has read the Walt Fleming books. She thought she recognized Ridley Pearson's name when you mentioned him before, but didn't put two and two together until she read your post. How new is the new book, In Harms Way? She may have missed it at the bookstores and wants to buy it if she did. The basic problem is that mom can't remember if she read it or not…sigh. She gives a lot of books away (NOT Chet's or PA's) so looking for it in the house wouldn't help.
Mollie (ABP) must like outdoorsey books that take place in the West, just like my mom does.
Chet is going to get a copy of Dan's book! That is so cool!
7:30 am on September 21st, 2010
Siber-H – Thanks for pointing out Chet's name on the list. I guess I wasn't fully awake yet when I first saw it.
7:54 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie, we would love an illustrated copy of Dan's book! We just now caught up on some of last night's posts. (all that tag talk!!). But Mom is at work and can't look up the email address until this evening. Hope that won't be too late.
8:01 am on September 21st, 2010
By the way, LOVE the pic of Spence and the quilt. But we watched that video y'all mentioned the other day and thought it was kind of creepy. Chet and Bernie are so much classier than that!
8:08 am on September 21st, 2010
Wookie, Barb just got back from the library, and she said to tell you she checked out The Fallen Man. That seemed to be one of the earlier ones they had that had both Leaphorn and Chee in the story. Did you like that one?
We like The Bed Bug Party. Are they to the right or left of the Tea Party? Might be pretty hard to be to the right, now that I think about it.
Wonder how Rosie is doing in Prague. In one of PA's books (the 1st Ingrid, I think) he mentions "spending the junior year abroad". Wonder if this is Rosie's Jr. year.
8:13 am on September 21st, 2010
G&BB: I agree that Chet and Bernie are classier than that video.
8:16 am on September 21st, 2010
Video!…The best part of the video was the Little Detective Agency business card sporting the Hawaiian pants….heh!
8:26 am on September 21st, 2010
I agree the best part of the video was the Hawaiian pants. Also, I think Chet should have been in it somehow.
8:27 am on September 21st, 2010
Gus and Boo Bear, It's not too late!! I figured that some wouldn't see the post for a couple of days. And then If you also want it signed by OTAS, he won't be up here until October 3rd.
8:29 am on September 21st, 2010
Mollie, The actor playing Chet is in it. You just can't see him very well. At the end, someone hands a woman the "goods" and "Chet" is delivering them. Of course, it's a human hand but "Chet" is there.
8:30 am on September 21st, 2010
Rosie's been writing about Prague on one of her blogs. The posts are pretty funny.
8:43 am on September 21st, 2010
Siber-H: Tell your Mom In Harms Way came out in August I think. I liked it a lot. Also I just finished the latest book by David Rosenfelt called Dog Tags where Andy Carpenter defends a German Shepherd. I have read all of his books. This one is really good I thought. I think I read that he (David Rosenfelt) has 35 Golden Retriever dogs.
8:53 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie!…Can you give me the links to the blogs that Rosie posts on???…snort!…The one I have has not changed since August….grunt!
9:14 am on September 21st, 2010
Thank you Mollie (ABP) Mom will pick up In Harms Way and she will add Ridley Pearson to her list of authors that she reads but can't always remembers that she reads. Yes, there is such a list.
Mom has read all the David Rosenfelt books including the latest. I think he is suppose to have a Golden Retriever Rescue, but that he keeps most of the dogs himself.
9:33 am on September 21st, 2010
Rosie!…I found Rosie out on Tumblr….snort!…So never mind Melanie.
9:55 am on September 21st, 2010
Siber-H: Yes, I like the Western books. I should have been a cowgirl. Has your Mom read Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati. It is the first book in a series. About early pioneers & Native American Indians way of life.
A different kind of book is Holmes on the Range by Steve Hockensmith. It is about two cowboys on the range. One of them tries to solve crimes by using Sherlock Homes type of reasoning.
10:04 am on September 21st, 2010
Wow if you click on the picture the resolution of the photo and quilt is just marvelous! Great job everyone. Bringing a smile to a favorite author–Mission Accomplished!!!!!
10:08 am on September 21st, 2010
MollyAPB!…. What kind of crimes would two cowboys out on the range run into in Holmes on the Range?…snort!….This one actually sounds interesting, but I can’t imagine what kind of crimes would take place out there…grunt! …Is this a series or just a one shot deal?
10:10 am on September 21st, 2010
Rio: When you get the chance could you please post Rosie's blog address….Thanks.
10:11 am on September 21st, 2010
Mollie ABP, Have you read Jump Off Creek by Molly Gloss? It is about a woman homesteader on her own out west. It is a great r….well you know.
10:23 am on September 21st, 2010
Hey, Mollie (ABP) We are not familiar with the books you mentioned, so we will check them out. Thanks
10:24 am on September 21st, 2010
Well the Pack is on my bad list!
What you need to know is the side yard near the river is the play yard. It is lower than the rest of the property. We have it fenced in except where there is a 5.5 foot stone wall. There are trees, bushes and about seven feet of ground before it goes off into a 20 foot drop to the river.
Now . .
Mattie was barking today. I was looking to see who she was barking at, people, cars, motorcycles other dogs, nothing.
So I would go out and tell her to come in. She'd come in and 5 minutes later would be barking and then I noticed she was sniffing the wind from down near the river.
I figured the turkey (pack? flock? gobble?) were down there.
None of the other dogs were interested until 20 minutes ago. They charged out of the house, went down to Mattie, who was now barking hysterically at the stone wall. THREE OF THOSE IDIOTS CLIMBED THE WALL!
And go charging off after what ever animal it was. I figured it wasn't a bear, they go the other way for bear, but skunk? coyote? mink? porcupine? This was not a good thing.
By whistling and saying in a calm happy voice, "Let's go, come on, let's go you miserable idiots." One dog jumped back down and the rest followed me into the stockade where I locked them out of the play yard. They were not happy. That left Rosie and Grace. I could hear them and see them. They had come back up the 20 foot drop off but didn't want to jump back down.
So I went down in the play yard and they went down the drop off again and started playing in the river and heading for the island.
I went back up into the stockade and through another gate. "My door, mine!" That was to the rest of the Pack. I could see R&G having a wonderful time. So I said in a sweet, clear, happy and calm voice, "Hey shitheads! Time for a treat!"
They thought that sounded good and started for the lower gate. So I go through the upper gate, and the gate to the play yard, "My door, Mine!" and can now see them at the gate waiting to come in. By the time I make it down there, Grace was gone, couldn't hear her, couldn't see her, but Rosie was there.
Now one of Rosie's jobs is to find the other dogs. So I told her "Find Grace." And she did, then both of them decided to go swimming under the bridge. I can't get there from where I am, so I have to go back up through the upper gate, into the house, get the van keys, get treats, out the garage door, "My door, Mine!" and start the van up. I back it out of the driveway, and here come the two idiots.
I put them in the back of the van saying "Good girls, good girls, I hate your guts!" in a calm, happy voice. Back the van up to the garage and get them in the house.
Oh, did I mention I have to use a cane???
That's when Zoë came home.
Newfoundlands,
Can't live without them,
Can't kill them.
10:29 am on September 21st, 2010
Hahahahaha,
OMG poor Melanie.
Everything is so much harder with a cane!

Been there, done that with the happy, calm swearing my head off! You have me LMAO as well. This from Barb.
10:40 am on September 21st, 2010
You wouldn't use that on MagPie or the chickens, would you?
I bet it was the rats!
10:40 am on September 21st, 2010
Oh Melanie, how funny is that! I saw the cane on your website but I didn't know it was yours. I reread your post with a different picture in mind. Still a hoot!
After all the excitement, Grace and Rosie just needed a little swim.
10:51 am on September 21st, 2010
We know from experience how long it can take to dry out a wet Newfie. And Barb says she would only swear at the rats!
10:51 am on September 21st, 2010
I'm glad you got them all back, Melanie, even though I know it wasn't easy. I guess the Newfs are not telling what it was that got them going. Wish we had video of the Newfs going over the wall, but mom's sympathy goes out to Melanie.
The escape artists will probably need a nice nap now.
10:52 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie!….So did you ever see what they were barking at?…sneeze!
Stover!… Here is where I found Rosie… snort!
http://rosiegray.tumblr.com/
11:02 am on September 21st, 2010
Never saw what they were after, Riö. All of them are now sound asleep . .
Thanks for putting up Rosie's blog, Riö, my attention went elsewhere .
11:13 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie, You wore out the poor little dears, chasing them around like that!
11:28 am on September 21st, 2010
Thank you Rio.
Melanie: I think you need a glass of….I was going to say wine but I don't know if you like it. How about an espresso with foamy richness? Anyway, you need to indulge.
11:35 am on September 21st, 2010
Big storm about to hit, very dark, high winds and possbile hail. If we disappear for awhile, you know we lost our power.
Bee is right, you need a little something to calm your nerves, Melanie.
Bee, I think she does like wine, remember she was balancing that empty wine glass on the Newf's head (Rosie maybe)a couple of weeks ago.
11:39 am on September 21st, 2010
Melanie: Laughing out loud at those Newfie's. For the love of puppies, indeed! You better grab a nap while they're sleeping.
12:59 pm on September 21st, 2010
I did indulge. Had a Virgin Mary (with Chinese hot sauce) and watched an episode of A Touch of Frost.
Wonderful. The Pack are still tired. Hope it lasts all night.
12:59 pm on September 21st, 2010
Rio: Well, they find crime on and off the range. It is a series and this is the first book. Here is a review: Sherlockians, western fans and mystery lovers who enjoy their whodunits leavened with humor should all be delighted by Hockensmith's captivating debut, which features Montana cowboys and brothers Gustav and Otto Amlingmeyer (better known as Old Red and Big Red, respectively). One night in 1892, Old Red becomes smitten with Sherlock Holmes on hearing his brother read "The Red-Headed League" around the campfire during a cattle drive. Determined to follow in his hero's footsteps, Old Red gets the chance to apply the master's methods after some unsavory characters hire the pair to work at a ranch, whose general manager is soon found dead after a stampede. Another man turns up dead, apparently a suicide, just before the British aristocrats who own the ranch arrive to inspect their property. The melding of genres will remind some of the late Bill DeAndrea's western Nero Wolfe pastiches, while the skillful plotting and characterization augur well for the sequel. Hockensmith writes a monthly column for Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine
1:13 pm on September 21st, 2010
Melanie: I wonder what they were barking at. You have had enough excitement for today. I hope The Pack have too.
Barb&Maggie: I have not read that book. Sounds good. Thanks for the suggestion.
1:27 pm on September 21st, 2010
Thanks Rio. I've been to the Rubicon site and there are lots of interesting things there. I'll read the interview with Miles/Dallas. I think Katherine is my favorite character, probably because I like Miranda Richardson. Dallas does a very good job on the show. They all do really. Right now I'm watching The Good Wife.
2:06 pm on September 21st, 2010
Mollie (ABP) Do you know how many books in the Holmes on the Range series have already been released? I am counting 4 on Amazon. They look like fun books.
2:14 pm on September 21st, 2010
Wookie, Barb started The Fallen Man and it is good so far. Not as good as SPAQ, but good.
Rio, Has your friend read much of The Perfect Crime? What does she think?
2:35 pm on September 21st, 2010
Melanie: Hysterical account of an arduous day. I half expect to see the Newf pack featured in a video of "Newfs Gone Wild on Spring Vacation" All nude, all the time. Naughty girls and boys frolicking in the water…surf's up.
2:36 pm on September 21st, 2010
I just saw the episode of Good Wife when Alan Cumming first appears. Does anyone know when the second season begins?
2:45 pm on September 21st, 2010
I just found the answer: The second season of Good Wife starts Sept. 28 (our big day!).
2:46 pm on September 21st, 2010
Hi all! Jasper's mom here.
Melanie: sent you and email. We would love a copy of Dan's book. Thank you so much!
Books! CJ Box, McGarrity, Rosenfeldt, Pearson, read them all and love them! Will have to put a hold on the latest Rosenfeldt.
Quilt! Picture is great and the 2-legger is a treat to see as well. With all the interior decorating that had to occur in order to place the quilt, I was picturing an office with doodads nailed up all over the walls from floor to ceiling. The pic with the quilt, 2-legger and white, white wall was a surprise. Hmmm…maybe the quilt was an "excuse" to do some additional cleaning/purging/rearranging.
2:47 pm on September 21st, 2010
Newfs Gone Wild! Bawaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaa!
3:23 pm on September 21st, 2010
For some reason, I'm exhausted. I downloaded the pics of the quilt and put it in my screen saver. Now it will pop up every once and awhile. Of course, since I have 2765 photos on my iPhoto, it takes awhile.
Thanks to all who have written! Tomorrow I will post the updated list again. We've got a few missing. . .
The list is downstairs and I'm upstairs and after all the stairs today, forget it.
Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.
3:31 pm on September 21st, 2010
Siber-H: Yes, he has only the 4. As you saw, the 5th comes out Jan. 18 & is called World's Greatest Sleuth. IF you like his books you might like Sheriff Bo Tully mysteries by Patrick McManus, Blanco couty Texas books by Ben Rehder, or Lomax & Biggs series by Marshal Karp.
3:33 pm on September 21st, 2010
Blanco County that is.
3:36 pm on September 21st, 2010
MollyABP!…Thank you so much for that review, I will definitely keep his books in mind when I have finished all of The Charming Mr. Abrahams books…snort!
MagPie!… Perfect Crime so far – right now I am being introduced to Rodger. I am very intrigued by Rodger, The Genius… snort!…Out of work, living in the basement doing puzzles….grunt!…Nothing good can come of that!…heh!
Jasper!…I too was surprised by the White Room….snort!… I imagined The Office a much darker room for some reason….heh!…Maybe he really hung it in the Bathroom…sniff!sniff!
3:51 pm on September 21st, 2010
Thanks Molly…stories that take place in Texas also sound interesting.
3:51 pm on September 21st, 2010
Waaahh.
It's the last full day of Summer.
Yippee!!
One week until TFAT is released.
4:02 pm on September 21st, 2010
Hey y'all! Dad has duty tonight, so Mom did some shopping on the way home — even though it's not her late night, it ended up being a late night!
Melanie: Mom laughed when she read about you having to pull your car out of the driveway to pick up the Newfs! Mom and Dad had a dog named Duke, who went over the rainbow bridge a long time ago. Whenever Duke got loose, they would drive down the block to pick him up, because if they tried on foot he would take off running. For some reason, though, he loved getting in that car.
Then when my boy came along, Mom and Dad discovered that Duke would come to him. Even my boy remembers the time when he was just four and they lived on post in Massachusetts. Some men were working on their quarters and left the back gate open, so Duke took off. My boy put on his yellow rain slicker and went out after him — Duke came trotting right over. He still brags about Duke coming to him instead of Mom and Dad!
4:12 pm on September 21st, 2010
Interesting!…. My boo-hoo friend finally broke down and is watching “Last Chance Highway” tonight…snort!….She just knows her heart will break in two before the show is over…sniff!… I just hope she doesn’t forget that our Rockies are playing RIGHT NOW!…grunt!…Change the Damn Channel Already!!! …grumble!…What the Hell!???
4:12 pm on September 21st, 2010
Kirby, Did you sign up for Dan's book?
4:13 pm on September 21st, 2010
Rio: Mom has read Holmes on the Range and the sequels — they're fun to read. Even though Old Red can't read or write, he has smarts to absorb everything from the Holmes stories and apply them to the myteries he finds. It's a very original take on the Holmes saga.
Another series Mom really likes — although it has nothing to do with the West or Native Americans or anything of the sort — is the Jefferson Bass (actually the writing team of Bill Bass and Jon Jefferson) series about the Body Farm in Tennessee. Dr. Bill Bass actually founded the farm, which studies the decomposition of bodies under various conditions — useful in crime solving — and the main character resembles him quite a bit.
4:16 pm on September 21st, 2010
Maggie: Thanks for reminding me — I couldn't do it earlier since Mom didn't have the computer on, so I'll do that right now!
4:32 pm on September 21st, 2010
Okay, Melanie, how do we get Wookie's mom or staff's email so we can get the pack's email? (We scrolled down to the bottom,so if we missed it in a post above, we apologize.) We seem to remember a while back that staff's email was listed, but when was that?
Thanks, G&BB
4:34 pm on September 21st, 2010
Plunderers!….Hasn’t Dr. Bill Bass come up for discussion on this blog before?…. snort!…It seems very familiar to me for some reason…heh!…His study of the decomposition of bodies…sniff!sniff! …Didn’t we talk about this at one time??…grunt!
4:41 pm on September 21st, 2010
Puss N’ Boots!…You guys are always a day late and a dollar short, aren’t you!?…heh!…Go up above find a post from Melanie and click on “Melanies” name(in blue!) which will take you to her website (Puppies!)…Her email address should be right there in your Kat Faces…grunt!…There is no way to miss it unless you are blind…snort!…No need to bother Staff or Wookies my friends…sigh!
4:43 pm on September 21st, 2010
Gus&BooBear, Click on Melanie's name and it will take you to her website. Her email address is at the top of her home page. That's how I did it. (with Rio's instructions)
4:44 pm on September 21st, 2010
Now!…Now she is turning to the Rockies Game!…snort!… I guess it did start later than I first thought…heh!sniff! …Life is good!.
4:45 pm on September 21st, 2010
G & B, Rio mentioned this earlier. Just click on Melanie's name and it will take you to their web site and her email address is right there. Simple.
4:46 pm on September 21st, 2010
Patricia Cornwell, which Barb used to read years ago (a little too gruesome,) also has books where she mentions the Body Farm.
4:48 pm on September 21st, 2010
We refreshed and G & B had the same message from three of us. Too funny!
4:51 pm on September 21st, 2010
Two out of the three messages to Gus&BooBear were polite.
5:58 pm on September 21st, 2010
Stover!… I just read an interesting interview with the actor who plays Miles on Rubicon…snort!… I guess it was interesting to me because he is my favorite character on that show, besides Will of course… heh! … If you want to read it go to the AMC website for the show and bring up the actors and characters page, click on his name, Dallas Roberts I believe… grunt!…Then there is a link to the interview – I stumbled upon it, I’m sure you can find it if you want to. …wheeze!
5:01 pm on September 21st, 2010

Thanks, guys. We were going to do that but yesterday, Melanie mentioned getting the address from Staff or Wookie's Mom so we thought it must have been a different one than that one. We will use the email on her Newf blog.
We don't mean to be late on these things, but Mom doesn't leave the computer on for us during the day and her work place put a barracuda blocker on recreational websites. She tries to check things out on her IPhone at lunch, but sometimes she has to run errands or (shudder) reads for an hour. When do y'all read all those books you have been listing???????

MollieBP: I don't know about Mika but I'll see if I can find anything and let you know. I also watch Bones.

We like Bones, too.
Rio, We did that – refreshed, then wrote, but by the time we pressed submit you guys were already on there. You can't write, then refresh before you post, cause it will wipe out what you have typed. Duh!

Gus&BooBear, We don't watch much tv is how we get a lot of books read. I have become a multi-tasking husky this baseball season what with following the Rockies, checking the blog, and reading a book. When TFAT comes out, it will have my undivided attention.

Gus&BooBear: To be able to read more books, I read when the commercials are on. Easy when the book is not too interesting, but sometimes the book is more interesting than TV so I end up missing the TV show…

Barb and Maggie: I just had good timing tonight when I went to check the blog it said there was 99 responses so I quick wrote # 100 and hit "submit". Just snuck in there between Siber H. and Rio. 🙂

Mollie(ABP), Mom does that too. It seems she ALWAYS has a book opened and we can't imagine anyone reading more that she does but some of you guys have her beat by miles! Dad complains that when she's reading, she can tune anything and anyone out.

Melanie, mom would love a copy of Dan's book. How sweet and thoughtful your family is! Thank you and yes, please, she would like to have your son sign it also. We'll send you our email address on your website address if that's okay.
Mom says she hopes y'all realize that the question about the slash surfer was a joke. Not a great joke, but a play on words all the same!
