Question
“Here’s a question for people out there,” Admin says. “What are some good movies with dogs in them? Any recommendations?”
Welcome Bianca, Sassy, brilliant dude.

Gooood morning, everyone! Wowser, what a tough question today. Mom won’t let us watch “dead dog stories” because she cries too much, so she’s really picky. We’ll get back to y’all.
8:46 am on June 10th, 2013
The Journey of Natty Gann.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089385/
8:49 am on June 10th, 2013
Top of the morning, HOH and Sharon!
I am an old film kind of person, but I would say Lassie Come Home, (I believe this is the one with Roddy McDowell, and Elizabeth Taylor), The Thin Man, and lest we forget, Uggie from the Artist. Thinkin’ on more…..
Good day all!
8:54 am on June 10th, 2013
Good morning HOH an all.
Mr. Ortiz got here at 7:25 this morning with a load of gravel.
Patio will be done by 10:00. Exciting.
Kelly is coming at 9:00 to pic up Gus. Sob.
8:57 am on June 10th, 2013
There was a newer movie we relly liked with Kevin Klein and Diane Keaton, but can’t remember the name. It had an English Shepherd in it.
9:06 am on June 10th, 2013
more dogs…..The Wizard of Oz, Sounder
9:35 am on June 10th, 2013
Here’s Wikipedia’s list of films about dogs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_about_dogs
Good morning all.
9:39 am on June 10th, 2013
The movie we mentioned earlier is called Darling Companion. It was not a big hit in 2011, but we liked it. A little overacting but there WAS an English Shepherd in it, which made it a great movie.
9:55 am on June 10th, 2013
Old Yeller…

101 Dalmations,Lady and the Tramp
10:09 am on June 10th, 2013
Jeeze, that is too mich pondering for me this morning. I’m waiting in a waiting room. . smicker. Then errands. I am for happy films about dogs.
10:10 am on June 10th, 2013
Loved Lady and the Tramp. Rin Tin Tin too. Did not like Old Yeller, due to the sad ending.
10:18 am on June 10th, 2013
When I was a yearling learning about becoming a sled dog I watched White Fang and Snow Dogs.
10:24 am on June 10th, 2013
HOH – Mama is with you on sad dog movies. The Storyteller brought home The Incredible Journey one time. Even though everyone makes it home, the whole concept of the movie made her very uneasy. When the movie was over, Mama punched the Storyteller on the arm.
He never brought any more dog movies home.
Beethoven was cute. Never actually saw Snowdogs, but some of the scenes we saw were funny.
The is an episode of Poirot called Dumb Witness. The dog in that “Bob” absolutely stole the show.
And who could ever forget “Best in Show”
10:28 am on June 10th, 2013
Hmmm.
I could be starting a rumor here, but I think a movie called Dog On It will soon take the world by dog.
Rose: Check out Bianca in the FOC. She is really cute but doesn’t look too happy.
Another cloudy day in Mpls. (yawn). Making me feel like taking a nap before noon.
10:35 am on June 10th, 2013
Development!….Hope they don’t screw it up…grunt!….Something about this gives me an uneasy feeling…sniff!

10:49 am on June 10th, 2013
Dog Movies…Hmmm.
Wose: Yes, Lassie & Rin Tin Tin of course, and Royals, we did like The Incredible Journey even though there was sobbing involved.
Barb&Magpie: Just watched Darling Companion this past week which was very cute but, as you point out, a bit fluffy. In our opinion the Canine Star saved the movie.
O’Howlers: The Journey of Natty Gann was very good. We will have to watch it again. It has been some time since we’ve seen it.
Tenzing: Those are movies Siber-H will agree with you about.
Anything Sled Dog and North to Alaska gets our vote too.
Dawson: We are all waiting with baity breath for Dog On It.
Sammie’s Do will have grown out by the time the casting is scheduled.
B: Thanks for the list of Top Dog Movies.
Melanie: Happy Dawg Movies are our choice as well.
What are you doing Waiting in a Room?
Rio: Checking out your link now.
10:53 am on June 10th, 2013
Dawson, she might have been watching a Yankee game when the Yanks lost.
The Ballad of Belle Starr. heh
Please do not screw up DOG ON IT!
Siber-H, missing you.
RIO! Did your friend enjoy the game?
10:57 am on June 10th, 2013
Rose!…She did!…snort!…She did!. It was very exciting and Cargo made the most amazing catches ever! And Tulo hit 2 homeruns…wheeze!…It was great! She even got Mat Belisle’s autograph. She says he is the best looking young man and so polite. When she approached him she asked if he would be the first to sign her little Baseball book, and he said Sure! And he thanked her for coming to the game…zow!…heh!…It was a great day and the Rockies won by ONE in the 10th inning…heh!heh!
10:58 am on June 10th, 2013
I am more interested in kat stories, but we are seldom the star. Something about taking orders. snicker.
Riö: What’s this…production updates from February 2009?
Maybe Chet can tell us more.
Rose: Belle will love your selection. The name Star(r) is already in the title.
HOH: We are missing your moniker for the day!
11:00 am on June 10th, 2013
SNOWDOGS!!! SNOWDOGS!!! SNOWDOGS!!!
Babe…the Border Collies.
11:03 am on June 10th, 2013
Of course, thanks to Spence, there is A Kat May Have Been Involved to bring kats into the spotlight.
Leave it to OFA to remember how important we are!
11:04 am on June 10th, 2013
Siber-H! Hurray You Are Back!!!
11:04 am on June 10th, 2013
My internet is fixed for now. This time I was the only one in the nighborhood without internet, but when mom called the company the first time, they already knew there was a problem and were working on it. They asked if we wanted them to send us an email or call when it was fixed. duh?
11:04 am on June 10th, 2013
Anything about me, me, me has to be the best.
11:05 am on June 10th, 2013
How about Ishtar? Now THAT was a dog of a movie.
giggle
11:06 am on June 10th, 2013
A Cat Was Involved. Duh.
11:08 am on June 10th, 2013
sigh….you see what we have to live with?
Rio – when Mama met OFA last year, he did mention an upcoming movie. But the original screenwriter was botching the job, so Admin was thinking about doing the job himself.
11:09 am on June 10th, 2013
Homeward Bound!
11:12 am on June 10th, 2013
Siber: You have to wonder what those people are thinking.
Their advice when you call about a problem is to go online for faster service. Would you be calling them if this was possible?
T&G: We hope this is resolved soon. It has been too long a time since the last movie update.
Chet?
Howlers: Yes!
11:14 am on June 10th, 2013
Rio, I am glad the Rockies won for your friend yesterday. My mom wants you to ask your friend if she thinks that Mat Belisle is the best looking Rockie when you see them in person.
I personally think this question is totally irrrlvant to the game of baseball.
11:16 am on June 10th, 2013
Masquers, I am convinced those people get paid for not thinking.
11:16 am on June 10th, 2013
O’Howlers: Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.
Which version do you prefer…the 1963 Film or the 1993 Remake?
11:17 am on June 10th, 2013
Siber-H, Glad you are back!
Masquers, we all know Belle Starr id always ready for her close up!
RIO! Glad your friend had a fantabulous day! GO ROCKIES!
11:26 am on June 10th, 2013
BSD, Did you notice that when they had to give a description of the dog when he was lost, they said he was a mutt or a mix or something. They did not say he was an English Shepherd. Barb was not happy about that!
11:27 am on June 10th, 2013
gah, That would be irrelvant up there instead of my typo.
Thanks all for your welcome back.
We have only seen the 1993 version of Homeward Bound and mom asked a friend who had already seen it if anything happened to the dogs in the movie. Mom felt it would be okay to watch the movie not knowing that the sob factor would still be terrible in it.
Snowdogs is the movie to watch if you don’t want to have to worry about the dogs in it. Even my dad will watch Snowdogs.
Avoid the movie, Eight Below.
11:35 am on June 10th, 2013
I never saw The Incredible Journey original version. I loved the Homeward Bound. IMO, Sally Field “gets us”.
8 Below: Worst Movie Ever.
11:36 am on June 10th, 2013
Thank you, T. I agree: WORST in movie history. Kat is not allowed to see it.
11:44 am on June 10th, 2013
Barb&Magpie: The only reason we here watched the movie was Because of the English Shepherd. Mutt indeed!
Maggie: You are becoming quite fond of Gus it seems.
I’ll let you get back to your Supervising. Heh.
Rio: The Rockies should seriously consider hiring Your Friend to come to the home games. She’s a Lucky Charm for sure!
B: There must be every Dawg Movie under the sun on it that list.
Dima: Eight Below, True Story or not, from the viewpoint of a member of the nation within, should never have been shown on the big screen. I shudder when thinking about it.
12:32 pm on June 10th, 2013
We feel the same about 8 below. I believe it is a true story, or at least based on one.
Patio blocks have been set and it looks great. I did my job of barking so well that Barb had to shut me in her bedroom. After I barked for 10 minutes straight, Gus got up and figured out that someone was in our backyard. Then he joined me. He is a good watchdog!
Kelly just called and said she left her checkbook on the hood of her car and one of our neighbors found it in the street. Have to go down and retrieve it.
1:17 pm on June 10th, 2013
Wow. Close call for Kelly!
1:27 pm on June 10th, 2013
Eight Below is based on a true story…sort of. The real story is that it was a Japanese expedition to Anarctica. The Japanese went off and left the dogs, but they never went back to get them.
To add insult to sorrow, the Japanese made a movie about this expedition and the leaving of the sled dogs. We only know one person that has seen this movie on tv and she has no use for that country to this day.
ummm I know this is politically incorrect but when it comes to dogs, we do not care.
1:49 pm on June 10th, 2013
SiberH!…Mat Belisle is most definitely one of the best looking Rockies players right now – definitely the best looking pitcher…sniff!…Maybe even one of the best looking guys she has seen in a long time…heh!
1:51 pm on June 10th, 2013
Maskers!…Since 2009 who knows what has happened to the DogOnIt movie…snort!…That is the only bit of info that ever comes up when I search for it…heh!
1:57 pm on June 10th, 2013
Rio, Mom says, yumm
I told mom, enough of this.
2:20 pm on June 10th, 2013
SiberH!….snort!
2:39 pm on June 10th, 2013
NOTICE!
I have run out of time to do anything fancy. Family members are arriving. We are having a dinner here on Friday. The garden (was doing this in the rain) is now set for the 2.5 inches of rain we are going to have between now and tomorrow. The big house cleaning is scheduled for the next couple of days.
What I can do . . Primp pictures and size them. Happy to do that until THURSDAY NIGHT. Then if I am sent anything it will have to wait until Tuesday.
Sorry about this . . I want to have some special time with my family.
REMEMBER! BY THURSDAY!
2:40 pm on June 10th, 2013
Whoooo, The Old Fart has decided that mom needs exercise so has been dragging her out to big box stores to walk (read: waddle) the aisles. She is about to put her size 5 DOWN. Better things to do.
We forget from week to week what we call each day soooo, today is Madcap Monday (fits with the movie stuff).
T&G: Think both of our moms are G rated…and then some.
B&M: Your “new” patio sounds like a haven!
3:07 pm on June 10th, 2013
Okay, Next is finding my panty hose. I know that sounds dumb, but I don’t have a need to wear them. For some reason they don’t fit with jeans and Big Dog shirts and sweatshirts. I have started polishing some silver. Doing some laundry. I need to put 2 chairs full of clean clothes away and pick up the clutter in my rooms.
Hmm, good thing that DD goofed up and gave me caffeinated instead decaf!
Oh, BTW, the pool is now beautiful. I have the pump working with no leaks (between my nephew and me) The water is clear and the correct height. Working with Mattie to exercise her leg (she tore her ligaments this winter) begins after the wedding.
3:31 pm on June 10th, 2013
As usual, the HOH is a day late and a dollar short, BUT, our passport is on the way. Don’t know if we will be traveling in the near future but…hope springs eternal.
Melanie: BREATHE!
3:38 pm on June 10th, 2013
Does everyone have a passport but me? Oh no. They won’t let me travel again.
Mom has been home with me all day. She got up early this morning (thanks to me as usual). She showered, ate breakfast, spent a little too much time in the laundry room for some reason. Then she left for her workplace. Hours later (2?) she returned home. She said “Kat, I can’t get there from here”. All the roads were flooded. She took the day off and stayed with me me me … And also spent more time in that laundry room. Tonight, we have tornado warnings! Oh boy!!! Any Plunderers live in Oz? Can I borrow somebody’s passport?
3:39 pm on June 10th, 2013
Yikes, Melanie. That is Some Schedule!
We here may have to have to take a time out as seller this time around as we’ll be Away from Home Base for the next few weeks and are scrambling to take care of the necessary details.
Fortunately we will be within driving distance in case something comes up.
Snowhook is Very Important to us so we will be buying from the Boutique for sure.
Hounds: Our Passport is on the way too. Now the Stamp is another matter. No good choices so far.
If any of youse sees a place we can find them please let us know.
3:43 pm on June 10th, 2013
Just one more thing. I hate robo calls. We have been getting one from the people from “I’ve falling and I can’t get up” people. It’s folksy, he says he doesn’t know whose paid for the equipment, but someone did. Isn’t that nice? (He doesn’t talk about the monthly fee) Then he goes on about pressing one to set up an appointment for bringing the equipment over. I happened to be at the computer when we got this AGAIN. I pressed one, listened until I got a human and then played the following. I had the phone right next to the cranked up speaker. snicker

4:00 pm on June 10th, 2013
Bear, I feel like you just got back! I will miss you and Masquers!
4:10 pm on June 10th, 2013
Melanie: I know the Solicitor appreciated the Musical Serenade. Chortle. Say, that’s a Mighty Teeny rocking chair ole Pete is sitting on there.
Wose: We will be visiting within 75 miles. This time we will NOT be Incommunicado and will be able to check in at least once a day. Thank Dog.
Kat! How did you Sneak in there?
4:16 pm on June 10th, 2013
Hey! What about “Iron Will”?? Trust the dogs!
4:26 pm on June 10th, 2013
Melanie – Pantyhose???? gah….have we taught you NOTHING??? No no no no no! Panty hose were created by the devil himself – they are hot, uncomfortable, inconvenient and actually not very good for many women.
Options for a summer wedding – bare naked legs (our first choice) or if stockings are an absolute must – thigh high stretch tops. They stay up by themselves, and under a longer than knee length dress, can be worn lower on the leg if it is more comfortable.
Mama almost passed out at just the THOUGHT of peeling down panty hose on a warm summer day to ….ummmm….use the necessary facilities. Worse yet was the thought of pulling the %^&*($#&^?! things back up! And thenn there is the nightmare of getting one’s dress caught up in the back and flashing the other wedding guests.
For once we agree with a certain former first lady – JUST SAY NO!
4:29 pm on June 10th, 2013
Oh jeez – trust us to be talking about underwear when a new person first arrives on the blog. Its pretty hard to make a Corgi blush, but that did it.
Welcome to the party JHGoodrich – and sorry about that.
4:31 pm on June 10th, 2013
Rebecca!….Check your boutique item laden SDD when you get a chance…snort!
4:37 pm on June 10th, 2013
JHGoodrich: Good Grief. Iron Will is not on the Movie List.
What’s up with that? Looks like a Good Movie to us.
Blushing Corgis. tee hee.
5:10 pm on June 10th, 2013
Okay, T&G, I looked those things up on the online store. WHAT!!!
I refuse to wear stockings with seams, bows, lacy, or fishnets. Jeeze Louise!
Some of those pictures? Yikes!
Hi JH! I have never heard of “Iron Will”. Any sad scenes?
5:27 pm on June 10th, 2013
Melanie: Iron Will. I looked it up and Kevin Spacey is in it.
We already like it!
Hi JHG!
5:37 pm on June 10th, 2013
Melanie: KMart has thigh-highs and they are just plain nylons.
5:38 pm on June 10th, 2013
It has been a long time since mom has seen Iron Will but it is a good sled dog movie. Don’t think there is anything too sad in it…do remember the ending and loved it.
Rio would be interested since it has Kevin Spacey in it.
Masquers and Bear, I am glad you are not going too far away from us. Give my best to Trigger. (if that is where you are going)
Melanie, bare legs will be just fine. There is no reason in the world to be uncomfortable. Life is too short for that.
5:45 pm on June 10th, 2013
For Rio and the Boston Patroit fans: The Patroits have signed Tebow.
5:57 pm on June 10th, 2013
Siber H, mom says you have not seen HER legs.
Mom’s friend Kandy posted a story this morning I thought you gardeners could appreciate. She also has a bull calf, a couple of donkeys, and a carton of milk cows, oh and egg producers, Mom posted one of her egg pictures before. Any hoo…
“The whole point of a potager garden is that they’re pretty as well as productive but mine now looks like some kind of prison camp. I had to run electric string around it to keep out the billions of rabbits we have out here. They destroy whole crops in a matter of hours. I did get to find out just how well its works yesterday morning. I was having coffee on the patio when a rabbit showed up to invade to garden again but this time he got the surprise of his life! As he started to enter his nose hit the electric wire, he shot straight up and his feet were running before he hit the ground, last I saw him he was hauling butt Northward. bwahahaha Kandy 1 rabbit 0.”
6:02 pm on June 10th, 2013
Melanie – K, Wal and other Marts all have just plain old stockings that are thigh highs. And of course there is always your favorite store – Golinka’s Closet.
(p.s. – they do come in “goddess size” too)
6:06 pm on June 10th, 2013
Siber: Trigger is at one of the stops and I’m sure he’ll be up to more of his ole shenanigans. I’ll tell him hi for you.
Melanie: Mom agrees wholeheartedly with the Royals & Siber.
Always best to be comfortable. She prefers long skirts and dresses as they eliminate the need for hosiery.
Macy: That silly wabbit is still running!
Wonder what CHobbit is doing today?
6:11 pm on June 10th, 2013
Ahem – we have an announcement to make.
Mama is a bit of a bead-aholic, and does a LOT of shopping at Fire Mountain Gems, a bead lover’s paradise.
Last time she was placing an order, she was instant chatting with a customer service erson, and she asked if Fire Mountain might be willing to donate some beads for a Snowhook Special necklace.
There was a donation application process, which was submitted, and (drumroll please), Fire Mountain has just sent Mama an email that says “YES!” Woo hoo!!!
We are not sure when they will send the beads requested, so it may be that the necklace(s) will be for the next auction. But there will be an Official Snowhook at the Iditarod Necklace coming to a blog near you!
(by the way, this is the “observing visitor” that we mentioned to you. Good job all.)
6:18 pm on June 10th, 2013
T&G: WoooHooo!!!
6:25 pm on June 10th, 2013
Nylons, stockings, thigh-highs, panty hose, tights…forever more, they are all just male inspired, supurfluous (?) torture devices. She dogs of this blog unite! NO NYLON STOCKINGS! (to paraphrase Joan Crawford)
6:30 pm on June 10th, 2013
HOH – We Corgis will go one step further – We refuse to shave our legs!
6:31 pm on June 10th, 2013
Masquers: I’ve been trying to get my butt in gear. I have been over-working and decided to cut back yesterday–worked for 4-5 hours rather than 9-10 hours. Today I just can’t get going. Gah!
I don’t like to watch sad dog movies either. When I go see movies where sad things happen to people, the lights come on and I’m asking my friends (who are in tears), “where are we going to eat?” However, if something bad happens to a dog, forget it.
On the list today: see what I can put in the boutique. Most of the things I have are for the next auction. I’ll respect Melanie’s deadline. Her work ethic day after day astounds me.
6:33 pm on June 10th, 2013
Is the Hobbit painting the North Pole or is she in Anchorage looking for a place in which to domicile (how’s that for a mouthful?).
BDS: We just get you back and you’re going to travel…again? Do you think it is summer or something?
6:34 pm on June 10th, 2013
Oooops, CH osted while we were barking our heads off.
6:36 pm on June 10th, 2013
T&G: European style.
CHobbit: Too much at one time is exhausting, plus the stress of moving in your near future. How are things looking house-wise in Anchorage?
6:45 pm on June 10th, 2013
Things are looking good house-wise in Anchorage but zero showings on my own house. Hence the over-working. Everything I do seems to require a lot of hand/arm strength. I meant to pick up some pain relief at the store today but forgot. I’d probably feel better mentally and physically if I wasn’t hurting. However, on the upside: Sadie and I are bonding nicely and enjoying each other’s company.
6:50 pm on June 10th, 2013
T&G: Woooooohooooooo!
6:54 pm on June 10th, 2013
C.Hobbit, mom is the same way about movies.
Yippie for Snowhook Beads!!! Thank You Fire Mountain!!
This is exciting.
7:05 pm on June 10th, 2013
Belle Starr, I see a lot of sparkly beads in your future.
7:05 pm on June 10th, 2013
We will forevermore think first of Fire Mountain for all our beading needs. Thanks Golinka for putting in the “leg work”.
Speaking of legs, I will join the no shaving club as well. Mom, however, can’t sleep if the little pricklies are dragging on the sheet. I think she just needs to let them get longer.
7:10 pm on June 10th, 2013
Melanie, We vote for a long skirt and dressy flats or sandels, not nylons. Paint your nails and wear open toed shews.
HOH, we remember NO WIRE HANGERS! Barb’s daughters used to joking say “Yes, mommy dearest”, if they thought she was being too extreme in what she was asking of them. Of course, that was when they were teenagers, so everything was asking too much!
7:11 pm on June 10th, 2013
Mom will join that club…NSC. Emma P and Lucy Lou, toooo. Darah and Pookey like summer cuts. Mmm, maybe just the bods and not the legs? What do y’all think?
Know Rebecca is with family but hope she is ok today.
7:24 pm on June 10th, 2013
Robins like sunflower seeds. I didn’t know that.
7:39 pm on June 10th, 2013
Stover!…There is a volunteer sunflower growing at the end of the hedge in the front yard…snort!…It never would have made it this far if her mother had been here. Now it is looking good at about 14 inches high…sniff!…They are going to keep it because my friend put her food down and said do not pull it or else…grump!
7:40 pm on June 10th, 2013
CHobbit!…She works way too hard for someone that is supposed to be retired…grunt!
7:43 pm on June 10th, 2013
B: Do you have any photos of the Robins?
7:46 pm on June 10th, 2013
Patriots!…snort!…Denver had him, now Spencer and Admin’s team have him…chorkel!….Good luck with that Boston!…heh!heh!…Tebow is a great guy, he really is.

7:53 pm on June 10th, 2013
Dreaming of kool glades and waterfalls on this summer afternoon.
8:01 pm on June 10th, 2013
Maskers!…How the heck are Tom, Dick and Harry doing these days?…sniff!sniff!…Are they pulling their weight in your garden?…hmmmm!
8:11 pm on June 10th, 2013
That is a nice picture Masquers.
I’ll try to get some photos of the robins and cardinals. It’s been raining a great deal lately.
Rio: Yes, keep the sunflower! They are beautiful.
8:23 pm on June 10th, 2013
Riö: It appears Tom is doing all the work. Dick and Harry are taking it easy. They claim being garden guards is hard enough work without actually lifting a hoe. You’ll remember it was Tom who spent time by the fireplace while the other two were out in the cold. Now he is paying the fiddler.
I want to see a photo of your sunflower at the end of the season. They get huge!
8:25 pm on June 10th, 2013
A Big Thank You to Fire Mountain & to the Royal Mum for all she did.
8:25 pm on June 10th, 2013
Sunflower!…I will have someone fotograph it when I am not around…sniff!…Maybe each week a new foto…heh!
8:30 pm on June 10th, 2013
Movies with dogs in them? Didn’t see it mentioned but my favorite is the Thin Man.
8:31 pm on June 10th, 2013
A photo a week of the sunflower would be fun.
8:37 pm on June 10th, 2013
Terry: We recently watched some old Thin Man movies. Asta was definitely a Great Dog.
8:42 pm on June 10th, 2013

Now how come y’all ain’t never mentioned that great dawg movie “Turner and Hootch”. Ah still laugh at some of them scenes.
And Miz Macy – don’t you dare touch a hair on them purty little legs a yourn. Thanks for the dance the other night. That Masquers shore did play a purty turn of “Stardust” fur us.
8:50 pm on June 10th, 2013
Turner and Hootch is on the list that I posted.

Watch a movie, let an iPaw die, and we miss a lot.
Thank you to Fire Mountain!
Welcome to JHGoodrich. The movie Iron Will is familiar to us, but we don’t exactly remember it. Now we need to find it and watch it again.
We love Sunflowers hers. Mom calls them “The Ladies” because they look like they are on their way to Church, wearing big hats and beautiful smiles.
Masquers, that cool-looking waterfall looks mighty refreshing right about now. We have plenty of water, in the form of rain, but it is so very humid.
What else? We’ll plead Melanie memory. 🙂

Donation!…I’m confused. What exactly is this Fire Mountain donating to Snowhook? Beads? What beads?…grunt!
9:01 pm on June 10th, 2013
Snort!…On my page FOM Beppe’s photo was replaced with this photo instead…heh!heh!…Blog hackers???…chorkel!
9:32 pm on June 10th, 2013
lol That is funny. What did they do with Beppe? Those two do not look like a Beppe.
9:32 pm on June 10th, 2013
Rio – the FOM has been replaced on our page too. hmmmm
Fire Mountain has donated some beads that Mama really liked, but couldn’t afford. She designed a necklace, and sent the idea to Fire Mountain with information about Snowhook, and Chet’s Blog, and the Mercantile and auction. She told them that if they would donate the beads, she would provide the labor and the “small” parts to make the necklace. Fire Mountain donated not just one set of beads, – they donated enough to make TWO necklaces. We are not telling what the beads are – that will be the surprise when the auction comes up. But the design will be unique. (Next up, Mama is going to see if they would like to sponsor Snowhook)

T&G, I agree. I haven’t shaved my legs in many years. And I will not be doing it ever again. I have never tried thigh highs since I was a teenager. They kept falling down. Am I to understand they stay up now? (It was at least 30 years ago)

Redbone! We were going to mention Turner & Hooch, but got distracted…by Food. Love that Movie!
Hey, Bebbe! Where-did-you-go?
Time to head off for Dinner & A Movie. The Hobbit!
Talk to all youse tomorrow – Bear
10:10 pm on June 10th, 2013
Before I go…heh, heh, Staff…you reminded Nana of a funny story when she was a teenager. She went to a dance wearing the knee-highs and Yes, the blasted things kept Falling Down. She never wear them again.
‘Night All (again)

Mom was right, it was a Madcap Monday. Just goes to show that “one never knows, do one?”
Hope we hear from Rebecca tomorrow and that her folks are ok.
Nighty night.

Mowed my acre of grass. Sent photos of 10 items for the boutique to Melanie. So I have redeemed my lazy butt today. I still have lawn raking and thatching to do and am undecided whether to do it or watch tv or read for a change. I haven’t watched tv in about 3 weeks (but don’t think I have missed much).

I just refreshed and Beppe was booted out on my FOC also. Hmmmmm.
Fire Mountain. I buy beads from Fire Mt. They always send them really fast and put in a little something gift also. Love that place.

Shave my legs? Hmmm .. That hasn’t happened in years. My dress is long, but because of a problem with my left leg, I have to wear some sort of leggings. 🙂
The liver doc says the swelling in my leg is not connected with that problem. My regular doc just said I needed exercise. Well, that hasn’t helped. I see her at the end of the month and we will discuss this again.
Thanks, B.Stover. I will have to use the time turner to find extra time to go to the store.
Change in plans tomorrow. Looks like Frank the Tank has a hematoma on his ear. Another trip to the vet. We like the vet. We would like to not see them as often.
TTFN, though if the caffeine does not calm down soon, I might be back on.
10:49 pm on June 10th, 2013
New-Beppe!…I have refreshed often and I still have the new pair…heh!heh!
CHOBBIT!…An Acre of grass?…snort!…No wonder no one has looked at yer property…grunt!….An Acre?…gasp!

Rio: minus the trees it is less than an acre. 🙂 Although, thank goodness, the lawns in Anchorage will be much smaller as will the privacy.
11:43 pm on June 10th, 2013
Dad just informed mom that she may mow the front yard tomorrow and for some reason that means we both have to turn in early. Later taters.

I was almost ready to get into my nice warm bed with the special quilt and the three pillows when I noticed that Mr.Staff has been busy in the garden. It is his patented

party timeskunk and raccoon arrangement. A radio is under the enameled pan and the light is on top. A perfect dance floor for whomever although so far I have only seen moths. Our last laugh for the night.

Redbone Hound. Yes, Turner and Hootch. Great movie. I never saw so much spit! But then I don’t have any newfies.
What breed was Hootch anyway? (Hootch was the dog, right?

The delivery trucks pulled up to the loading dock of the Mushers Mercantile Boutique today. It has been a big day of packing slips, packing peanuts and price tags. Wow!
I believe a thank you is in order for Fire Mountain for their generosity and an equally heartfelt thanks for Golinka for communicating with Fire Mountain to the benefit of Snowhook. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Hooch was a Dogue de Bordeaux. Known for being large and drooly. (Now why does that sound familiar?)
We love that movie. We have it on VHS and have no way to play it.
Hi, to the late stayer uppers. I’m going back to bed and see if I can go to sleep.
2:19 am on June 11th, 2013
Just got in from raking for 90 minutes. Drenched myself in mosquito spray and wore a light winter jacket with hood to withstand the little buggers. It is 10:15 and still daylight but I am stopping for the evening.
Melanie: I have a couple of more boutique items to photograph and send to you tomorrow.
JH Goodrich: welcome to our Chet-Snowhook community. I am looking forward to hearing more about you (and any dogs/cats you own). I was on another website and an ad for Fire Mountain appeared in the window. I had already looked at your website and recognized it. Good omen I think. Thanks for your donation to Golinka. And thanks to Golinka, of course. I am looking forward to what she creates.

Okayyyyy, the next I go into DD, and they hand me a drink, I’m going to say, “Are you sure that is decaf?”
I had that small cup of coffee at 10 am!
C. Hobbit, looking forward to more items. I love that one thing!

I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well
as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays.
