Q&A (More)
And now back to reader questions. A number of you wrote in about Suzie, Bernie’s girlfriend for a good part of the series, and now (spoiler alert for those who haven’t yet read Of Mutts and Men) married to the Franco-American investor Jacques Smallian, whom Bernie can’t help liking. Let’s put it this way: lots of twists and turns can happen in a longish series and I’m hoping, with your support, that Chet and Bernie will be longish.

First again! I plan to live until 100 so keep the books coming.
My 95% vegan sister changed her mind and sent me a photo of a turkey leg she is going to cook for us on Thanksgiving. I am thinking there won’t be enough drippings for gravy (my favorite over everything). Also not expecting leftovers for a meal and a sandwich.
Good day all.

Greetings!
Spence: As long as you keep writing C&B Books, I will keep buying and reading them!
Hobbit: Just 1 turkey leg?
Good day to all!

Hobbit. Just curious. Does that mean there is a one legged turkey walking around somewhere?

WATP: I doubt many turkeys are walking around today whether on one or two legs.
I have no idea where she got a single turkey leg. I think she was looking for a turkey breast but had no luck. I even checked a couple of stores myself and they were only selling whole turkeys and nothing else. The smallest turkey was too big for the two of us. As a vegan, my sister wouldn’t want any leftovers and really I only like turkey for a couple of days.
I have never had goose for Thanksgiving–has anyone? How does that taste? I think it is a fattier meat? Sometimes my sister boils Alaskan King crab but I don’t like to work for my food. My nephew will grill 2″ thick steaks but grilling is an art, especially winter grilling and the results left a lot to be desired last year. Just give me a traditional meal with all the side dishes. Yum.

Let the record reflect that at the time in question, we were no where near any turkeys. Oh, wait. We were. We were doing a recreating of Noah’s two-by-two trip when, er, turkeys were involved.

We like leftover turkey for turkey pot pie and turkey noodle soup and turkey sandwiches and turkey salads and turkey turkey turkey turkey turkey!
Isn’t that why God invented the freezer?

Movie!…Who here has seen the movie “A Quiet Place”?…gasp!…It is a couple of years old but Wow! My teeth were chattering when it was over. It is sooo intense…gah!…I don’t want to talk about the content and give anything away in case some of youse have not seen it yet. Please do if you want your extreme sense of survival to kick in and be quiet about it…wheeze!

Rio: I have a small freezer packed with unused bags of vegetables, fruits, bread. The ice cream gets eaten. I have no room for turkey leftovers but a friend is taking pity on me and bringing me some leftovers on Friday.
It has been a long time since I’ve had a good ham. Talk about leftovers. Your Friend is very economical and I see lots of good eating in your future.

Rio: I don’t watch scary movies but The Quiet Place got really excellent reviews and I haven’t heard any viewer or reviewer spill the beans. Wasn’t there a sequel also?
I miss going to the movie theater. And I miss theater performances.

Hobbit!!…I can’t imagine a sequel but with the imagination of the original creators I would not rule it out….snort!…We here will not be looking it up as to get any hints about the content…wheeze!…Watch “A Quiet Place” without knowing anything about it is the best way possible…yeeep!….Terrrrific!
