Publishing Schedule
“You want to post the publishing schedule?” Admin says.
“There might be some interest,” says Spence.
“Okay. Here it is: WOOF, first in the new middle grade series: April 28; paperback of PAW AND ORDER: May 12; SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY, the next Chet and Bernie (and I snuck a look at what you’ve been doing – not too bad so far) – “
“You snuck a look? But – “
” – July 28. And there’ll be a new C&B e-short story in there somewhere. Now can we go to Chet’s Diner?”
(No uploading to Friends yet.)

Good morning, everyone! Spence and sneaky Admin, thanks for the publishing schedule. We will be waining per usual with our baity breath.
Mama Michelle&Oz&Biggie&Milton&O&O (phew maybe MM&O&B&M&O&O?), thank y’all for clarifying the Chet’s Diner controversy! Friday dinner at the Diner, nothin could be finer 🙂 Tupper’s mama, plan your trip accordingly.
HIgh 30’s now! only in the hi 30’s to low 40’s for today and tomorrow. Oh, oh, did mom say “When h e l l freezes over”, again?
Have a toddling good Thursday.
8:22 am on November 13th, 2014
GAH, not waining, WAITING! Oh frabjous day, Rio is on the right in Chet’s Friends.
8:29 am on November 13th, 2014
Six minutes later and there is Rio in his Colorado Rockies hat. We are beginning to think we are stuck in a Dickensian novel.
8:41 am on November 13th, 2014
Lots of good reading coming up. Wonder if Woof is too advanced for 3rd graders?
Good morning all. HOH, I think you were right about the food at Chet’s. Friday night, that is the answer.
Michelle, thanks for the clarification about Baby Oscar. I think it is amazing that the other 4 sat still for a photo. I can barely manage with two.
9:01 am on November 13th, 2014
I’ve pre=ordered Woof and S&S.
It’s snowing here…just a bit.
Good morning all.
9:08 am on November 13th, 2014
Off to work. Have a good day and try to stay warm.
9:13 am on November 13th, 2014
The comments from last night are cracking me up. And I love the picture of the turtle “yelling.”
9:14 am on November 13th, 2014
B&M&L…WARM the operative word for about 3/4 of the lower 48, he, he, he.
9:30 am on November 13th, 2014
Glad Mama Michelle stopped by last night. It would be great if she baca me a regular. More CORGIS! Woo Hoo!
When we heard Chet’s Diner was only open in the morning, we made a plan to drive out there early in the am, have breakfast there, and then go cruise at Wegmans. After all, one shouldn’t go grocery shopping on an empty stomach, or so they say.
9:34 am on November 13th, 2014
Zero degrees here as I can attest, having just been out to see if the birds will cooperate. They never do.
Another kind of coldness: no Dawson here to keep me company while the Librarian goes to work.
10:09 am on November 13th, 2014
Negative!…Degrees here and I am refusing to go outside. Where’s that big plant when I need it?…grunt!
10:42 am on November 13th, 2014
Rio – we don’t blame you one little bit. We always wonder about silly dogs going out in the cold and rain when they could learn to use a nice clean litterbox, and have the two leggeds do the “policing”.
11:15 am on November 13th, 2014
Herbs, it sort of answers that age-old question about the more intelligent of the species, doesn’t it?
11:23 am on November 13th, 2014
Hey, Elliot the Massage Kat, you are on the right in Chet’s Friends now. Wowser, a busy day for friends 🙂
11:31 am on November 13th, 2014
Litter!…Seems to me the two-leggeds are the losers here. They are the ones who clean-up Kats Krap after they poop inside in a Box!…heh!
11:40 am on November 13th, 2014
Dawson scheduled for takeoff in less than 2 hours…ASA36 from Seattle to Minneapolis. Safe trip, my friend!
11:44 am on November 13th, 2014
Riö! Check your SDD and pronto!
11:46 am on November 13th, 2014
Rio, Those two-leggeds are at the bottom of the ladder. Tee hee!
11:53 am on November 13th, 2014
Maskers!…Once and for all…sniff!…I cannot check my GMAIL until my friend gets home…grunt!…Just give me the Airline please…sneeze!
12:02 pm on November 13th, 2014
Dawson will be flying roght over me me me. I will see her in a week. sniff sniff. I can’t wait.
That tiny turtle is the baby that hatched out of the egg that Fred laid. Turtleman was quite surprised when Fred turned into a girl Turtle. The baby’s name is Jeffrey. We got a birth announcement. (It was years ago.) You can tell how tiny Jeffrey is by the fact that he is perched on the end of Turtleman’s finger in that picture!
Hmmm. I had better start thinking about packing instead of playing in my quilt room. darn it all.
12:03 pm on November 13th, 2014
ASA!…That has to be Alaska Airlines…snort!
12:09 pm on November 13th, 2014

I have marked the publishing schedules on my calendar.
Cool…We get to track Dawson.
12:22 pm on November 13th, 2014
Yay! Riö. You are the solver of mysterious codes & flight-tracker extraordinaire.
12:31 pm on November 13th, 2014
I am glad I wore my wool long underwear this morning. It was freezing bum cold and there was no heat until after everyone was settled and the plane was started, by which time icicles were hanging off us.
Alaska airlines 36 Seattle to Minneapolis.

1:12 pm on November 13th, 2014
Tyb, looking good 🙂
1:23 pm on November 13th, 2014
We admit it – that Tyb is good looking- for a dawg.
Happy flying Dawson – maybe you can get up a card game on board, after you defrost of course
And we loved the picture of Jeffrey. Are we sure that Jeffrey IS a Jeffrey, not a Jeffria?
1:36 pm on November 13th, 2014
HerbKats: Heh, heh.
Good to see we are Back at Chet’s Diner…although I fear it is Too Late For Breakfast.
Where oh where is MacyTheMinPin and her Mom?
1:36 pm on November 13th, 2014
Tyb makes an excellent FOD.
Herbs? Who is Jeffrey? We must have missed something again.
1:44 pm on November 13th, 2014
Howlers, Jeffery is a turtle. Check out the picture on last night’s blog.
Congratulations to TYB, our FOD.

That’s Tyb? Gawgeous! A late good day to all from 78-degree California.
2:32 pm on November 13th, 2014
DianeC. Show off. It is 39 in Chattanooga with a stiff breeze and will stay like this until Monday. We told mom that it is practice for Alaska in March!
2:42 pm on November 13th, 2014
Inquiring minds want to know: how and where did Fred come across a daddy turtle for Jeffrey?
3:09 pm on November 13th, 2014
The Turtleman had two turtles. TWA (turtle with attitude) and Fred. He did not know thier personal orientation until he found TWA hooked up to Fred. (Did you know turtle stay hooked up for HOURS!)
Later TWA ran off so he is no longer in the picture. Those MEN! Even turtles can’t commit.
snicker
3:39 pm on November 13th, 2014
Allice & Abbie: Get ready to wave hello to Dawson!
3:40 pm on November 13th, 2014
OK Masquers. I will let them know.
3:41 pm on November 13th, 2014
Now 49 minutes from touchdown in Mpls.
3:53 pm on November 13th, 2014
Staff, that is a funny story, and no I did not know that. I guess everything turtles do is slow! LOL
Safe landing to Dawson.
4:02 pm on November 13th, 2014
Dawson!…She is almost to MN now…wheeze!
4:03 pm on November 13th, 2014
Staff!…TWA ran off?…snort!…I doubt that…heh!
4:17 pm on November 13th, 2014
TWA: reminds us of that legendary airline that is no more. sniff.
4:18 pm on November 13th, 2014
ETA!…Dawson should be touching down in approx. 12 minutes…snort!…I hope the landing gear is working.
4:26 pm on November 13th, 2014
Oh please, Minnie and No Place, be welcoming to our Daawson.
4:31 pm on November 13th, 2014
Dawson should be in Minnie and No Place NOW!!!!!!!
4:33 pm on November 13th, 2014
Arrival!….Looks like Dawson had a safe and uneventful aeroplane ride to Minneapolis…chuffle!
4:33 pm on November 13th, 2014
4:41 pm on November 13th, 2014
and, in honor of Dawson’s arrival, Riö has done a double D.
4:43 pm on November 13th, 2014
Nah, No Double DAwson, NOt that much talent. BUT Rio did do 2 posts in the same minute 🙂
4:44 pm on November 13th, 2014
See 4:33 and 4:33 PM from the RIO meister
4:48 pm on November 13th, 2014
FlightTrackerKat wants to know what happened to his Last post.
4:49 pm on November 13th, 2014
Did it get swallowed by the twice in one minute Rio?
4:50 pm on November 13th, 2014
The flight left late and arrived early…pretty impressive.
Dawson, Your baggage will be at carousel 14.
(to whom it may concern: If I already said that, then where is it?)
4:54 pm on November 13th, 2014
Oh dog help us all!
4:57 pm on November 13th, 2014
Forecast for Minneapolis in the coming week:
very cold, bitterly cold, and frigid – Weatherkat
(sorry, Dawson)
5:17 pm on November 13th, 2014
Good dog, Masquers are you helpful or what?
5:35 pm on November 13th, 2014
HOH: Don’t (kill) blame the (messenger) forecaster.
5:57 pm on November 13th, 2014
Getting some snow flurries here and possibly 2″ Saturday. No matter, I am now off work till next Tuesday.
Dawson, are you going to stay at your dad’s thru Thanksgiving? Wonder if Mr. Staff will be making jello? Isn’t there something else “unusual” that they have for T.G.? Something with horseradish, maybe?
6:02 pm on November 13th, 2014
Massquers, NO messenger problems…:) Where is our Dawson?
6:03 pm on November 13th, 2014
Ah ha, we get it. Doggie are covered in snow and sleet and rain and…what else?
6:15 pm on November 13th, 2014
It is SNOWing here!!! Kat told me this farm is awesome in snow. I can’t wait to see it.
6:24 pm on November 13th, 2014
Zeus: Siber-H should be Arriving Soon.
6:48 pm on November 13th, 2014
Gah! Starting the end of next week I am to take photos of the kittens and post them on the adoption site. I am to name them. So….I am looking for a theme. Actually two themes: one for a litter of 3 and one for a litter of 6. Please help me out!!
7:23 pm on November 13th, 2014
Hobbit, how many girls and boys in each litter?
7:25 pm on November 13th, 2014
Thanks for reminding us who Jeffrey is. We liked him, but we missed the name.
7:30 pm on November 13th, 2014
CHobbit – we humbly offer the use of our herbal names. You could do Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, with Basil and Paprika or Pepper, or Ginger or Cinnamon or Cardamom or Clove, or Bergamot – the possibilities are endless.
And you could always do teas – Chai, Earl Grey, Ceylon, Pekoe etc
That way, boys, girls and undecided – doesn’t matter. Except maybe for Rosemary. Would be kind of hard for a boy Kat to explain that one to his buddies.
Then again, we do have Fred, the Turtle Mom of Jeffrey
7:45 pm on November 13th, 2014
LOL as we head for beddy bye unless we land on another comet in the next few minutes…who would have thought it was possible!
7:52 pm on November 13th, 2014
I was greeted by Turtleman and light flurries. Didn’t seem that cold but that may be that the wind was not howling like it was in Montana. Dad has been talking my ear off since I got here. I finally excused myself to unpack.
Yes, I will be here until after Thanksgiving and I will be making The horseradish cranberry sauce that Dad and I love for Thanksgiving.
I like the Herbs suggestions for cat names. You could also use Plunderer names.
Now I will unpack and call the man who lives in my house in Canada to tell him where I am.
Rio: Thanks for tracking me.
Masquers: Thanks (I think) for the weather report.
7:53 pm on November 13th, 2014
In my litter we all had bird names – I was MagPie, and then the other girls were Wren, Lark, Robin, Finch and Chickadee. The boys were Bobwhite and Blue Jay. Other good ones would be Dove, Eagle, Hawk, Junco, Owl, Oriole, Sparrow, Woodpecker, Martin, and Thrasher.
7:56 pm on November 13th, 2014
We are so glad the awesome one is safe and sound on the ground in Minnie and No Place and we know where she will be for a bit.
Dawson…teach Staff Cribbage so we can beat her trousers off in AK in March…please?
8:00 pm on November 13th, 2014
Wait! One more thing.
Wose: The package with the calendars was on the dining room table when I arrived and they are fantastic. I gave Turtleman one and he agreed you did a bang up job! Thank you very much for all the work that you did to create our First Plunderer calendar.
I’ve been wondering about Macy MinPin too and hoping her ma and grandma are okay.
8:05 pm on November 13th, 2014
Kitties seem more like they should be herbs, but maybe that is just because we know Basil and Sage.
8:07 pm on November 13th, 2014
C.Hobbit: We Feel For You, Really We Do.
Maybe you could Post some more closeup type Photos on the Blog and the Plunderers will do our best.
Magpie: We never knew that’s How You Got Your Name. Always thought it was a short for Maggie(Mag) and (Sweetie)Pie.
Dawson: I know your Dad and the Turtleman were Happy to See You.
Thanks for checking in!
8:17 pm on November 13th, 2014
CHobbit!…Name them Kat1, Kat2, Kat3, Kat4…snort!…You get the idea…heh!
8:26 pm on November 13th, 2014
BSD, Maggie is my call name, but my litter name was MagPie and my registered name is Kindred Spirit Farm Magnolia.
Barb has a few more themes for you:
Soda pops: Pepsi, Shasta, Squirt, 7-Up, Snapple, Mountain Dew, Ginger Ale, Root Beer, Sierra Mist, Dr. Pepper, Fresca, Tab, and Sprit.
Or you could go hard core and do drinks or liquors: Bourbon, Martini, Rusty Nail, Kamikaze, Cosmopolitan, Manhattan, Bacardi, Highball, Daiquiri. Amaretto, and Vodka.
8:29 pm on November 13th, 2014
Oh, and Bailey’s Irish Cream would be another option for one of the seal points.
8:31 pm on November 13th, 2014
I’ll stop now.
8:43 pm on November 13th, 2014
Basil & Sage: I did think that the litter of 3 could possibly have a Spice theme. Two are black and one is a tortie. Perhaps Basil, Sage and Rosemary?
I am trying to get their personalities down so I can describe them. My paperwork is downstairs but I think the litter of 3 has 2 boys and 1 girl. The litter of 6 has 4 girls and 2 boys (I think).
I am trying to snip their kitty points so they can no longer climb me AND will stop clawing my furniture. It is a tough go with the little claws + skirmy kittens + long hair covering said claws.
Rio: I was going to name them Spanish names 1-6 but the idea is to have cute names so they will attract their furever homes.
8:47 pm on November 13th, 2014
Barb: love the drinks theme!
8:48 pm on November 13th, 2014
Rio,
I field tested the cookies today. Unfortunately it required me to eat all of them. They passed the test. Send more.
AJ
8:52 pm on November 13th, 2014
Magpie: I like your Registered Name. And by the way…you will always be Mag(short for Maggie)(sweetie)Pie to me.
C.Hobbit: What about the Mamas? Will they be adopted too?
Hey! The Mamas and the Papas. How about Musical Groups Names?
I have a feeling it may be Time for Bed.
8:53 pm on November 13th, 2014
Barb is cracking us up. AJ is too!
8:54 pm on November 13th, 2014
Cookies! The Giant Taste-Tested Cookies! This is the Best Recommendation of All!
9:04 pm on November 13th, 2014
C. Hobbit–How about botanical names in general (like the rabbits in Watership Down)–Hazel, Dandelion, Larch, Blackberry, etc.? Unisex and often pretty…
9:05 pm on November 13th, 2014
BSD, Thank you. Barb says I am a sweetie. Sometimes she calls me Sweet Pea.
Oh Yeah, you could do flowers….. Marigold, Rose, Bachelor Button …NO! I promised I would stop.
9:26 pm on November 13th, 2014
The mamas will be spade, then recover, then adopted. One mama is a hissing mess so I will need to work with her. It might be easier once her kittens are gone.
9:35 pm on November 13th, 2014
What about town names or state names?
10:47 pm on November 13th, 2014
Or Presidents.
Night all.
10:50 pm on November 13th, 2014
How about author names? Poe, Shakespeare, Dickens, Quinn?
Austen, Alcott, Ferber, Angelou?
11:12 pm on November 13th, 2014
Elliot!…I like it!…snort!
12:21 am on November 14th, 2014
HOw come AJ gets to taste test the cookies and none of the rest of us, like me for instance, got a chance to test. Grump.
Names are the hardest thing ever. I have lots of suggestions but remember I named my boy cat Henry. I really like the name Henry though so that is just fine. Keiko was almost Betty. It would have gone better with Henry but she just seems so Keiko to me.
Mr.Staff is in bed already and since I am up in the wonderful new quilt room right next door I can hear him yawning. Maybe I should get ready for bed also.
Night all.

This is Keiko
1:11 am on November 14th, 2014
Thanks everyone on the name suggestions. Lots of good ideas!
