Here’s a crazy idea that came to me on my bike ride yesterday morning. If you out there was suddenly put in charge of publicity for Chet and Bernie, what would you do?

Advertise in pet supply stores possibly.

    Good afternoon all.

B is closest to one of the FB suggestions: sell Chet & Bernie books at pet stores. Here are a few more (there were 56 responses to FB):

    * Have Chet on Twitter dropping quotes of his wisdom i.e. ” Failing is what got me my job at the Little Detective Agency. Take it from me, failing can be a great thing.” #ChetTheMotivator

    * Sell dog coats advertising Chet & Bernie [Hobbit: maybe dog scarfs listing the books are a better idea]

    * Sell bicycle trouser clips with Chet & Bernie ads to illustrate “grab them by the pants leg.”

    * Partner with Porsche [Hobbit: I like the way this guy thinks]

    * Create a contest where artists send their best renderings of Chet and Bernie! Make postcards out of the winners with excerpts from the new book on back and leave them at bookstores!

Ideas!…These are actually very good ideas. I have to say I am impressed…grunt!…But the real challenge is to get Chet n’ Bernie out to people who have never heard of them before…sniff!sniff!…I will have to think about this question a while before I come up with a scheme…gurgle!

Beginning!…In the beginning my friend was drawn to the Cover-Art and the Title…snort!…She was browsing amazon for a book for her father….snorkel!…The old pickup scene was something she knew quite well growing up. And the dog looked like old Duke, her dad’s dawg…snort!…She had never heard of the charming Mr Abrahams before or Spencer Quinn. It was all about the artwork and the title…wheeze!

Now!…Now if she was browsing for a book for her dad and she saw these fotographs of a real dawg sitting next to a real guy I can 100% say she would not look twice at that book…snort!…It’s been done a hundred times x 2…gruffle! …Give it a REST for dawgs sake!….cripes!…This is all I have so far, but I am still percolating on the matter…wheeze!

Forgot!…I forgot to add that the Cover-Art for the CD-Book is soooo amazing. If my friend had seen that on a book cover not knowing anything about the series she would have picked it up and read the cover. And probably have bought it right then…snort!…Seriously good Cover-Art which should have been on the book too…gruffle!

A few months ago I posted the review from Stephen King on my facebook page saying how much I enjoyed the series. I had 5 friends who then posted that they had either ordered the first (Dog On It) book or checked it out at the library.
I am still amazed at how much traction my little post had. I have not tried to have a lot of friends on Facebookie so that was almost 8% of them.

Mouth!…Word of mouth or Face is a strong thing too….snort!…My friend’s login to facebookie was hacked and she had been denied access to her account…sigh!…Which is really a good excuse for us NEVER to use facebookie…heh!heh!
