Post Mortem

“How did the events go yesterday down in Delray Beach?” says Admin.

“No one threw anything,” says Spence.

“Success!”

Welcome Trixie, Chico (yes, I remember Mexico), Cassie, Star.

Siber-H, I am jealous. Forecasts for tomorrow are calling for 2-4 inches in my area. I’ll have to see it to believe it!!

Rio! What’s this about your Mother Booger doll. Can I see a picture?

Hi everyone – we wanted to check in before heading off for a day of errands (Thursday is the Storyteller’s birthday, and we need to get away from him for a little bit to get birthday cards. And steaks. Really big steaks)

Mr.Staff – when, oh when will you learn – Staff is ALWAYS right!

Siber – we’re glad that you are happy with the snow. Personally, we think you are nuts, but…..

Melanie – hoping there is good news on Zoe

Rio – is Beau YOUR doppelgänger?

Two nights? Do I hear two nights?
One night! Please, just ONE NIGHT of no emergencies.

No infection. They found out that she has lost a LOT of weight so the prevailing thought is that the amount of medication she was taking when she got there is way too much for now.

Strange noises all night long. Woke up to find the foot deep snow ribbon gone from the deck railing, the snow gone from the lilac’s and apple tree’s branches, the snow on the roofs compacted by half from 3 feet to 1 and 1/2 feet, no snow on the car and everything wet and soggy. Ugh!

Zero snow here so far this winter. A very light dusting one night in December which disappeared within hours.

It was 17 here this morning. Frost is still on the north-facing roofs. No snow.

Macy, Yes, I got to go to the dog park but the Husky moms are running out of stiff upper lip in this cold and wind. They will survive even if at times they have their doubts.

Rose – how cool that both the Storyteller and the Prof get old together – tee hee

We found not only great steaks but a GIANT supply of escargot – one of the Storyteller’s most favoritist things on a menu. Now to get the asparagus and fruit-custard tart that he loves, and his birthday dinner will be perfect.

Melanie – its GOOD to hear you singing and giggling. Really good.

Rio – they gave away a Caravan trip to New England on Wheel of Fortune the other night. Maybe you should tell your friend to try out for that show.

BSD – we love that song too, sing it with us – Stuck in the middle with you – and I don’t what it is I should do….

  59. Junior
    10:24 pm on January 15th, 2013

Rio: I think I’ve figured out the key to getting extra grub. It’s all about working the eyebrows—whatever they are. Last night I was just standing there, minding my own tail and the next thing I knew my Lady was given me a extra chicken skin real quick like so no one else would notice.

  60. Riö - The Evil Pug
    10:31 pm on January 15th, 2013

No clue. Let me consult the eyebrows b

  62. Junior
    11:13 pm on January 15th, 2013

The eyebrows are silent on the issue mainly because I have no idea what they are. What I do know is my Lady and my Giant saw each other for about twenty minutes tonight in town. He is going to work and she is coming home from her day job to do her dog job.

  63. Staff
    11:32 pm on January 15th, 2013

Heh, Junior you are making me smile. Goodnight everyone. Going up to see if Mr.Staff needs any errands done before I shuffle off to Bed.

    G’day Liz.

Melanie, Dawson and I found the perfect tall narrow table on the curb just before Christmas. We put our little tree on it. Sometimes you can find vintage sewing machines and their cabinets on the curb also. Dawson is awesome at it. A friend of mine wants to hire her for curb work.

  64. Junior
    12:05 am on January 16th, 2013

Staff: I am glad I could make you smile. On a serious note, if happen to see my eyebrows under the quilt or in the curb could you tell them I’d like to speak to them?

Woohoo! My Lady is putting on her chore suit to come out to the kennel.

  65. SnowBella
    2:26 am on January 16th, 2013

There has been some question as to what kind of food the Giant prefer while he is running the Big Race. He likes Snickers Bars a lot and he loves Beef Jerky and homemade cookies. Who wouldn’t? It’s just like Rio said. He also likes Nature Valley granola bars. Last year, he tried Caramello bars (his favorite), but they didn’t travel very well. I don’t think he would turn away Twix bars. In the past we’ve sent rice crispy treats on the trail, too. He is going to try Capri Sun drinks this year along the trail. I will peel several dozen clementines again this year.

It is safe to say, the dogs will eat better than AJ, but his appetite gets a bit off on the trail and he eats on the go a lot. Wheeze!
