Post Mortem

Admin: How was yesterday’s BOW WOW appearance at Eight Cousins Books?

Spence: Lots of kids, and none of them threw anything! Therefore: success! Not only that, but one of the kids, maybe ten years old, already knew lots about bull sharks.

Admin: Relevant since there’s a bull shark named Mr. Nice Guy in the story. Spoiler alert: he’s not nice. Did you bore the kids with tales of your spearfishing days in the Bahamas?

Spence: Boredom’s a big part of life. Gotta prepare them!

I am laughing at today’s post. Sounds like a good time was had by all!

Here is a story of a truly extraordinary member of the Nation Within that Grizz brought to my attention.

    Good day to all!

Great story Rose. I saw it on the news last night. Evidently the fawn ran back into the water a 2nd time as it was completely disoriented. Finally got it to a safe place for rehab.

Did you see the rescue last week of the elephant that was found swimming 9 miles out in the ocean?

Picking green beans and squash. First tomato is starting to turn red. Great eating!

My new food obsession – I have been having my local Fresh Market grind boneless, skinless chicken thighs for me. It makes the best patties and much better than ground chicken breast. I simply can’t get enough!

Dear deer story! The garden stories make us miss our pre-fire garden. Hoping to get it back soon. Love a good dinner out of the garden!

Rose, The chicken patties are my for lunches. Tonight for dinner : foil packet with potatoes, onion, carrots with dill, grilled zucchini strips and a grilled pork chop. All veggies and herbs from the garden, chop from our pork order.

HOH, Why didn’t you do your garden this year?

Buddy announced on FB that 20 minutes ago that his wife, Melanie, was transported to hospital. She had an adverse reaction to new medicine. He said that they had been going on 2-years hospital-free. Send pawsitive thoughts his way.

So I have been calling in everyday to see if I will be summoned to jury duty. I am #500 so I was thinking I might not get called until Friday.. So far they have called 240 people. Tomorrow they are calling in 370 people! I am not sure there is enough parking let alone seating for that many.

Our guess is Beau is sleeping so won’t be able to pray for Melanie until tomorrow. Not to worry. We have put the Thieves! on the job.

Buddy’s Melanie is in our prayers tonight more than ever. BMALS since the fire, mom wants all the soil removed to be safe. That is on the books for next spring.
