Sounds good to me – I like sticking my paw on that stamp pad.

Oh Ratz! Color of Porsches? I returned my reserved copy of THAT on Monday…. and Rebecca has BOTH purchased copies of Dog On It and Thereby Hangs a Tail…

My Mom has a Kindle and she says it would not be fair for her to do the pop quiz. Some search function or another. Since the prize is not something to eat, I don't care.

1.) Little Jazz is Roy Eldridge, they used to call him that because of the trumpet part in Bernie's song.
2.)In Dog On It, it is purpleish- i think- with yellow doors? In Thereby Hangs A Tail, it is brown with yellow doors.
3.)Bernie was thinking that it would go up- and i think i remember that in the end it did.
4.)Spike, Spike, Spike. I don't remember that part. uh-oh.ummmm which book is it in again?…. can i guess? Meat? uh, bones? uh… his owner? Crap, I'm gunna fail. I hope i don't!
5.)Toddy? Toddy is the owner of.. i think Marx, Max? one of those dog names.oh snap! were we suppossed to write this or type? uh, i dont know, cuz it says 'pencils down'. oh P.S. ny dog and I love your books!!!!

Yikes – we hate quizzes! Mom will come back later to take a crack at it, but for now just wanted to thank all you guys for your encouraging words, your great blog pals! – we're leaving in a couple hours and I'll let you know how it goes. Also, we hope Mac is feeling better – surgery bites big time! I had to have two of them before my pack found me. Hang in there Mac!

As for the quiz, I remember Yellow on the Porsche, the rest of them ??…don't know. The funniest line in Dog Gone It is when Chet said he loved his groomer because she sang to him when she brushed his teeth…ha ha…brush your teeth with Colgate..That is so endearing.Looking forward to reading Thereby Hangs A Tail.

I do remember that Bernie thought he was betting tin would go up, but in fact he was betting it would go down, which it did in the end, only I think by then he was pretty ticked off at the guy involved.
In the new book, the Porsche is brown with yellow doors, or yellow with brown doors… I think purple may be correct for the first book…
I can't remember the musicians' names, but Bernie did speculate that Little Jazz was named in relation to another musician who was "Big Jazz…"
I wish I could remember what Spike's fur tasted like, but the only thing that comes to mind is cigarettes, and I know that can't be right. (Don't eat those, BTW– I remember you saying it wasn't something you'd do again Chet.)
And Toddy… Hmmm… He sounds like a perp, to me…

I'm thinking hard about the Porsche's color,
but I only know mine it's powder blue and a 1965.
I don't do colors too well!

Oooo I got in on the quiz so late, I got to read all the other answers. I wouldn't have gotten any except maybe the tin one and the porsche in THAT. I could have looked them up I suppose

Bernie thought he was betting that tin would go up but he was really betting that tin would go down and then he had to cover the short side (with the watch) and then it went down after all and he supposedly made some money. I can't remember why he had to pawn the uke. Did it go up twice?

Thanks Chet, I appreciate it! Well, my Mom is kinda worried about me, so her heart's not into the quiz for today, maybe she'll try next round. We found out I have a small tumor (in my butt of all places – sorry for the crudeness, but I know my guys will understand!). Luckily it is small and the vet is optimistic, but I have to have it removed on Monday, so I'm a little scared. We're keeping a positive attitude and meanwhile I feel pretty good, so wish me luck. On the up side, I didn't get too nervous on the car rides today and not really sick much. I think your guys faith in me really helped, thanks! I also met some cool canines at the vet too. One shihtzu, one pug, and one really big black lab! Until tomorrow….tailwags, Cosmo

Best of luck Cosmo. Our thoughts and best wishes will be with you on Monday. I'm very hopeful and think everything will turn out to be just fine. Tell your mom you will need ribs, steaks, beef jerky, ect. to help in your speedy recovery.
I can't do the pop quiz. My attention span is even worse than Chets. At least he almost made it through K9 school. My tribe within the nation within a nation can't be trained to do much of anything but pull sleds.
