Philosophical Discussion (From Work In Progress)
Our client was a sad-eyed little guy named Marvin Winkleman who owned a ticket agency downtown. Don’t ask me what a ticket agency is. What’s important is that he thought his wife was cheating, and coughed up the $500 retainer. Don’t ask me about the cheating part, either. It’s a human thing; we operate differently in my world. “Just find out, one way or another,” Winkleman said. “I’ve got to know.”
Later, driving away, Bernie said, “Why do they always have to know? What’s wrong with ignorance is bliss?” I had no idea.

There's a transport of rescue dogs that's supposed to come from Kentucky to near Chicago where I live and then up into Wisconsin. I actually know two of the rescues that are getting dogs on this one– Placing Paws, which is the group I volunteer with, and Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue, which is the place where we adopted our guy, Wojo.
If ANYBODY this weekend is located somewhere between Kentucky and Madison Wisconsin, and you have a vehicle and a little time, WE NEED DRIVERS! We've got to get these guys up here– the shelter they're coming from is so overfull that they're going to have to euthanize large numbers of dogs, very soon.
If you know someone who could help with the transportation, please contact me here!

Rebecca, If I lived nearby, I would be in my car in a NY minute.

Good luck finding drivers.

Thanks Ivy. I know the feeling. I've offered to help out on Sunday if they make it up this far, but right now they don't have anybody down south, and unless that changes, there won't be anybody to meet.
Thanks everybody! I don't mean to be a downer here. I just thought that there was a good diversity of locations represented here, and everybody here loves dogs… It was worth a shot.
