Of Mutts and Men Preorder Info

There have been some questions about preordering Of Mutts and Men, the next Chet and Bernie novel, coming July 7. This should be easy and simple. Everyone who preorders will receive a bonus short story for free (I’m rather fond of this short story!). Just save your receipt. Starting April 1 the publisher will have a preorder site set up where you’ll be able to send the receipt.

1. Please don’t send receipts here. The publisher will provide a place starting April 1.
2. The name of the story is: The Iggy Papers.
3. For those interested in getting signed copies at this year’s tour – the tour is not set up yet. But when it is, all appearances will be posted here. (I now have a Hawaiian shirt I may sport at one of them.)
4. If you’ve already preordered and can’t find your receipt – please look again. But if you still can’t, I’ll see what the publisher has to say. Bottom line: don’t worry.
5. Publishers are fond of preorders. Writers and fond publishers get along well.

Morning all! We are looking forward with baity breath for the new book and short story.
Thomas Waerner of Norway has reached Nome first in 9 days and 10 hours plus.
This was his second Iditarod and he is the third Norwegian to win.
    Happy hump day to all.

The crowd in Nome turned out to watch the finish even though they were discouraged from doing so. (The Iditarod has lost two of its top sponsors going into the future. Who knows what the future will hold for this race)

On another note: On my deck Sadie has a dog igloo stuffed with straw, a thick bed under a table which is wrapped on 3 sides by a tarp to protect it from the elements AND the bed you see in the photo. Her choice: the snow. She gets so anxious when I bring out the snow shovel that this last week I stopped clearing the deck. (I always left a patch of snow for her anyway)

Went for a wonder-fluffing today. My train station which serves the Metro North RR and Amtrak was deserted, as were the station platforms on my way to Tarrytown, where I get my hair cut.

Sadie, you are my kind of girl…A snow lover!

    Good afternoon to all!

Rio: note that Sadie is chewing on a treatie. Does your Friend provide cushy beds outside for you and treaties every day or is she not a pushover like I am?

Gloomy, chilly day here. It was supposed to get up to 39 but someone got it wrong. I am about to nap, then read a book, then think of other things to do besides housework.

Hobbit!…My friend doesn’t leave me outside in the snow. She knows my under-bits will freeze off pretty quick…wheeze!

    Did somebody say Dawson?

HOH: Your Iditarod coverage was welcomed and made me miss “The Hobbit Hotel” days. I didn’t watch the race this year but peeked a few times and saw that the Norwegian was ahead from fairly early on. Guess he stayed that way. Jessie Royer next year!

Hobbitz: Sadie is cool, calm, collected.
