    Good Morning, Everyone,
It’s a cold, wet, nasty day here in northwest PA, a good day to stay in and get some work done around the house. That’s exactly what I plan to do, unless I get called into one of my “volunteer” jobs. Our leaves are just beginning to change, and the rain is knocking them down already. So much for one of our biggest draws in this neck of the woods. And so, to work. I’ll keep checking in from time to time as long as we’re home and my dad doesn’t have to go to work or rescue some damsel in distress.

    Good morning TYB and all.

Good morning, y’all! I probably shouldn’t say this, but we have beautiful, bright blue skies this morning. The only problem is, it’s getting a mite cool around here. Last night I heard the weatherman (not weatherkat!) say it was going to be 41 degrees at 6:30 this morning. So when it came time to go outside, I just hunkered down in the sofa. I knew it was going to be COLD out there! But my girl picked me up and made me go outside. That’s the problem with being so small — everyone gets to boss me around!!!

We actually had some snow on the ground yesterday morning. Oct 2 is way too early for that. Having reread my first post from this AM, I’m having pangs of guilt for calling the weather anything negative. Those of us living in our area are probably the last people in the world to complain about the weather. It’s sometimes inconvenient, but my dad says that in his long lifetime, he has never experienced or heard of weather being catastrophic in our area. Our snow melts, and our rain dries. We never have to repair or rebuild because of the weather.

Good morning all – it is STILL raining and damp here….sigh. We really, really need to see some sun. It has been raining for about 3 weeks now. The garden is shot, there is dampness everywhere, and about the only way the trees are going to turn colors is if someone has a paintball war out there.

We usually love autumn, but this is just dreary. And now we don’t even have Posts. sobbbb.

Oh well, Mama is going to go play with clay for a couple hours before CL time. That will cheer her up considerably. Talk to you all (much) later tonight. Hope everyone is healing up and doing well. Everyone here is healthy, thank dog.

T&G: Good luck to your mom and her clay! I hope she sells a million zillion things — I think that’s a lot more than two! — and can quit at Crazy Lady Land!!!

I’ve gotta go now. Mom has to go to the church’s bank and her bank and the storage place and the store and another store and another store — well, you get the picture! Lots of errands to run before she gets to work. So I’ll be back much, much latter!

B! I see your square from the quilt up at Friends of Chet this morning.

O.Howlers: Thank you for sending White Wings on its way. It’s so much fun waiting for good things to arrive in the mail.

Tupper&Gilly: We just know your mum will sell lots of her artwork and will be able to quit CL land once and for all. That is really be the ideal life isn’t it? Getting paid for doing what one loves.

Kirby: Your mom’s day is so busy it is making me tired reading about it.

    Now – time for breakfast.

    Greetings All!

It’s a lovely fall day here in New York (at least for now). Rain is expected for later today, and tomorrow.

Masquers: I loved the photo of the Seattle Space Needle! I have a LEGO model on my desk at work.

Rio: Whew! Your friend has been very busy. If I’m tracking correctly, she has spent 3 hours on the leaves, and 19 hours and 5 minutes on the project to be revealed.

Rose!…Nope!…snort!…She spent 1 ½ hours on the leaves yesterday and the other time was spent working on the other parts of the project…grunt!…I guess it does not matter because you are just keeping a running time total….sniff! …There is no way in hell she has spent 19+ hours on this thing already!…wheeze!…Unbelievable!

Oooooo that makes me feel sick. How can anyone…*sigh*.

We are here uncharacteristically early (that is one heck of a long word, BTW) because mom was running late for school and the thingy that makes the car go, wouldn’t. Mom felt disinclined to go to school for an hour, so….

She is getting things arranged to go down for her uncle’s funeral. Mom is bummed that dad is not going, but he won’t board all five of us, and our Angie wants to go. Then on Saturday is the Walk To Remember where everybody with 2 legs walks in honor of Granny, who has Alzheimer’s. Dad will have to represent the rest of them there. Since the trip south will be, Mom, Grandmother, Our Angie, and the illusive Aunt Bev, they have decided to make the trip home a GO TO THE OUTLET MALL extravaganza. There is also an IKEA across from the mall. Dad should plan on those crazy girls getting home, WHEN THEY GET HOME, DANGIT! (sorry, I was just quoting what mom told dad)

Rainy weather *sigh* I think I remember what that is like. Something to do with having to run around in the garage before we come in.

Congtratulations to the Royals’ mum for getting accepted into the big art show next spring! I hope and think she will do just fine at the one this weekend.

High of 81 degrees here today…sigh.
Macy, when it does rain here, (hardly ever) I don’t have to worry about dirty feet because the “soil” is too sandy.

Fellow Sibers, Thanks for the heads up. Mom always tries to check the dog park first thing when we get there, but she is going to tell every human that comes to the dog park what you told us. The only problem we have seen so far at my dog park is once in a great while someone has deliberately left all the gates open.

Macy: Sorry about your mom’s Uncle.

    1:24 pm on October 3rd, 2011

That orange flower is beautiful! Needless to say, we have no fungi here. There hasen’t even been a good crop of tumbleweeds because there hasn’t been enough rain for them, and they can usually make do with very little moisture.

Rose, the bad news is that I think someone was deliberately trying to harm dogs. I bet the perp doesn’t live too far from the dog park. That perp needs to be wearing a orange jumpsuit and breaking rocks in the hot sun but will probably never be caught.

I forgot to tell you about the Pack’s night! Jesse came to be with them. They have him very well trained.
First, they helped him sweep the rugs.
Second, they took him outside to play.
Third, they watched him pick up the leaves they brought in on their tales.
    Next, they all got tummies.
After that, they all watched a movie.
After that, they got chewies and Jesse had a pizza.
After that, they were serenaded while Jesse played his guitar.
After that, they watched Jesse give Patsy her meds and since they were all so good, they all got some peanut butter.
After that, they watched some more TV and snored a great deal.
Then we got home and Patsy would not talk to me.
She went over and sat with Jesse.
    Little snigglefritz!

It’s settled. I like the picture of Melanie and Spence best out of the three posted yesterday.

A setback on the health front. #2son’s diet went from no liquids to liquids to solid food. By solid food we mean roast beef, boiled potatoes, green beans, white bread. Are they crazy! Mashed potatoes, cream of wheat maybe…Going from one extreme to the other cannot be good. We are very upset here. One doesn’t have to be a doctor to question this choice in diet. He said even the nurse was wondering about the food on his tray. He was supposed to have gone home today – now he’s back on liquids only.

Rio: The pups eyes are just like Siber’s baby blues. I may have gotten too close sniffing puppy breath; before I knew it, the little guy had his mouth around the tip of my nose. Sneeze and snuffle!

AJ just called. Two, count ’em, two reminders to lock the doors.

Time for baseball equals time for chores.

    Hey!
It was tied 4 to 4 but Young hit a homerun so the Tigers are winning again. I saw Delmon Young play at that Twins game I went to with Staff. He plays better as a Tiger than a Twin. 🙂

We have not had a frost and Tyb had a snow. Unusual weather. We brought all our green tomatoes inside today.

I’m in from doing chores. Wait for it….click…the dead bolt is locked.

I spent more time in the pupternity ward tonight. The little girl pup has expertly applied eye make-up. Her mother must have helped her.

Well, carpola! The picture is sideways, and we aren’t sure how to rotate it. Sorry
Anyway, this is a 3 part kachina mask, decorated with 10 kt gold and real turquoise. We will tell Mama to get better pics at the show.
Thank you so much for all of your good wishes for Mama to excape from the CL. All paws crossed.
Only one more day to deal with her this week anyway – after that, Mama is off for the show.
Good night all – thanks again for your support – means a lot to us.

    Is it painted? Or what?

    Beautiful!

Hi Wolfie – the mask is made of three separate clay pieces that are fired plain, and then painted and decorated with the gold and turq. After they are decorated, they are mounted on a wood backplate – this piece of wood was so lovely, we really wanted a special thing for it.
(p.s. -the top of the mask is on the right, wish we knew how to rotate it to post it. )
