Good morning all. Barb is heading to a training seminar this morning. She will learn than she ever wanted to know about knee replacement. I am sure it will be cringe worthy!
Happy and safe traveling Spence. Be calm Admin. He will be back soon.

Thursday is Bernie’s favorite day? Did we know that before.
Mom tells us today is a big hassle. She had to take her car to a dealer, and the only one is down near work, though not all that near. First she had to wait in their parking lot for a hlf-hour for them to open. Then she had to wait another half-hour for them to give her a ride to work. Now she is at work and worried about getting her car on time to make it home for her wonder fluff appointment this evening. Why can’t she just be like us, and quit worrying. Enjoy what she is doing when she is doing it.
8:20 am on January 17th, 2013
We posted at the exact same moment! Sounds like your mom has a fun day ahead too!

Poor Admin. (Why is Thursday Bernie’s favorite day?)
Good morning Barb&Maggie, Howlers and all.
8:55 am on January 17th, 2013
Good Morning All!
Admin, be calm and carry on. I’m sure Spence is coming back.
Yes, why IS Thursday Bernie’s favorite day?
OHs: Sorry your mom’s day is starting off on the wrong paw.
B&M: At least all the training will prepare you for what to expect for your surgery.
And lest I forget, the Prof and I send our best birthday wishes to the Storyteller!! May you have a most wonderful day!!
9:06 am on January 17th, 2013
Thanks Rose. Barb is leaving. The seminar is from 9:00 to 11:30. How could it take that much time to talk about a knee? Jeeze!
9:08 am on January 17th, 2013
Maggie, that is one important knee being discussed!
9:47 am on January 17th, 2013
Admin!…Maybe if he’d get busy and right another murder/psychological/thriller/mystery he could go travel around too…heh!heh!…Speaking of which, we are reading Tongues of Fire. This is The Charming Mr. Abraham’s second book and it is a doosy so far!…snort!…The sad thing is after we finish this book we will have read everything he’s ever published and then what???…grump!…So Admin better get busy and start tip-tapping real soon-like!…wheeze!
9:49 am on January 17th, 2013

Happy Birthday to Leonard!
Barb! That is long time. Bt the time it is over with, you will be able to do knee surgery on a patient.
The Siber moms will be close to doing the same thing today. Mom is taking my truck later this morning for a checkup and oil change. She will wait there and read while they work on it.
I could go. Dogs are welcome, but I would rather work on one of my projects in the backyard.
10:56 am on January 17th, 2013
Yo Rio – Dad says thanks…he thinks….
Thanks again for the laughs last night. Its much easier to sleep on Mama’s bed when she isn’t tossing and turning, and hissing and spitting.
11:03 am on January 17th, 2013
Happy Birthday, Storyteller!
Barb will be teaching med students soon.
11:11 am on January 17th, 2013
Happy Birthday to the Storyteller. (Me thinks you should set that fairy on to the receptionist, not sure what he’d do, but me thinks it would not be pleasant.)
Having a Sniglefritzing Carpola Day here too! I can understand one mistake, two mistakes? I get twitchy. BUT THREE FRICKING MISTAKES?
I will be going down to the rehab place in full Pink Bulldozer Gear! Snniglfritzing Frickheads. You don’t make YOUR mistake my MOTHER’s!
*^&#D@$^*()*^%$
11:13 am on January 17th, 2013
Oh, yes, I have also put in a call to another Rehab place. If they have a bed and the costs are covered, I am giving Zoe the choice of moving there to finish her rehab.
11:38 am on January 17th, 2013
Melanie!…How long does Zoe have to be in rehab?…sniff!

this is for Buddy, TC, Masquers, blukat, BooBear and Gus. And, of course, Alice M. and Abbie. Although Alice M. says she already knows about this. It is about a successful stock picking feline named Orlando.
12:20 pm on January 17th, 2013
OH!…Brother…grunt!
12:51 pm on January 17th, 2013
Yes, Brother Rio? Did y’all call?
12:53 pm on January 17th, 2013
You’ve heard of T.G.I.F. (Thank God It’s Friday).
How about S.H.I.T. (So Happy It’s Thursday)?
Siber-H: uh oh to backyard projects.
Happy B-day to the Storyteller and Happy day–late–to the Prof.
12:54 pm on January 17th, 2013
Orlando is beautiful!

I have not seen my new friend Alice M. lately.

(Whispering) Don’t blow my cover.
1:25 pm on January 17th, 2013
Chet: I like all the days although summer days are preferred over winter days.
Redbone Hound: Happy 2013, Hounddawg. You’ve been on my mind lately. Hope you have time to give MacyMinPin a little lovin’.
Amalia: I’m glad you let the receptionist know that she was being racist. I hope that Grandpa gets the relief he needs for his back pain.
Basil&Sage: The story about the dog’s tails is hilarious.
Leonard: Happy Birthday to you!
Melanie: The pink bulldozer is on the job!
Thinking of Wookie’s gramp’s and Zoe in rehab today and hoping for good workouts for both.
1:42 pm on January 17th, 2013
My Most Important Message of the Day: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE STORYTELLER!!!
1:46 pm on January 17th, 2013
Harummphf!…I just read the tale about the tails…snort! …Who comes up with this stuff anyways?…grunt!
1:56 pm on January 17th, 2013
This kat is spitting mad (!) at stupidity in the medical profession. The operating word here being: professional. Our advice? Change doctors & rehab places if you can.
Herbs: Is it Gramp or your dad with the back pain? That doc better get him in pronto or else.
Loved the tall tail tale.
Staff: This story of the Wall Street feline phenom is no surprise here…and the kiddies were a close third…so what does this have to say about the world of finance?
1:56 pm on January 17th, 2013
Barb is back home and the 2 hour seminar was actually very helpful and informative. They focused more on what would be happening during and after the hospital stay, and not on the product. Sent her home with a notebook full of stuff to read about rehab, exercises, etc. All in all, time well spent. Hope Barb doesnot have as much trouble as Melanie’s group.
2:02 pm on January 17th, 2013
Melanie, You mentioned cost of rehab. Isn’t that covered thru Medicare and a Med. Sup. policy? Does she happen to have a Long Term Care policy in addition?

**************** Announcement ********************
Food!…We got our first food donation to the Feed The Giant campaign….WoooooOOOOOoooooOOOOO!…Thank you CHobbit!…grunt!…Alas, her donation did not win the first prize, but it has shoved the needle off the spot it has been stuck at for quite sometime…wheeze!
4:23 pm on January 17th, 2013
Whew – finally back home after getting the last of the dinner things for the Big Birthday Celebration Dinner. And going to the bank, and going to the post office, and going to the recycling center, and going to the pharmacy………
Anyway, Storyteller says THANKS for the birthday wishes, and the anti-stupid, office staff comments. It is the Storyteller with the back pain. But now, he has a Written In Stone appointment for a week from Monday – unless they have a cancellation and move his appointment up sooner. But it WILL NOT be put off for any reason, including famine, fire and/or pestilence.
Rio – hooray for the Feed the Giant campaign!
4:31 pm on January 17th, 2013
Carpola – we wrote, but are in moderation limbo. No idea why, except for maybe the name of one of the places we stopped on errands. Lets try this:

Leonard: Pain on your special day? This simply will not do. May all our good wishes carry it far away.
Mr. Redbone: You are just in time. Your Min-Pin is in need of hugs.

I got in trouble with MY doctor for having a high blood pressure reading. When I told her what happened? I was excused.
Riö, no idea how long she will be in Rehab. She wants out NOW.
5:37 pm on January 17th, 2013
Never tell them what time you’re coming. By the time I got there the supervisor was out of the office. Lights off. And when I went in to see Zoë? She told me everything was fixed.
When I started listing off things, she got a strange look in her eye and said that’s everything the nurse said. I told her that was because I had left a scathing voice mail and then called the doctor’s office and the doctor called with her own scathing remarks.
5:39 pm on January 17th, 2013
We had a good time. That is, until she leaned forward, something she’s allowed to do, and an alarm went off. She was *&$%&*(. She is NOT alarmed. Someone just took it off her chair and put it on her.
She looked at me and said, “Find out about the other place.”
(Good to hear from you Mr. Redbone Hound, sir.)
Dinner!

Rio: Just to let you know…we are Shopping for the Giant too.
6:29 pm on January 17th, 2013
I think the Marauding Goats are at work in my area. I ordered Quest bars from Amazon and they were shipped FedEx SmartPost on the fifth. They made it to Pennsylvania and then the tracking said they were delivered two days ago, but they weren’t. The post office says other people are having the same problem. I called FedEx and they put out an APB. I asked the woman about the goats and she pretended not to know what I was talking about. I think she’s a recruit.
6:54 pm on January 17th, 2013
Happy birthday to Leonard, the storyteller not the dog!!!
7:14 pm on January 17th, 2013
Quest!….What are Quest bars?..sniff!…Johnny Quest isn’t involved in this, is he?…wheeze!…Bandit! Remember ole Bandit?…heh!
7:32 pm on January 17th, 2013
YAWN . . Yawn . .
Trying to relax and calm down has caused me to nap. I’m going to bed!
7:37 pm on January 17th, 2013
Rio – Quest bar is a high protein bar – not like those that are candy bars in disguise. When I’m hungry, one of these will tide me over without messing with my blood sugar.

Wow!…Those Quest peanut butter cups look delish!…wheeze!…I want a whole carton full of those things…sniff!
7:50 pm on January 17th, 2013
Rio, the peanut butter cups are not the Quest bars!
8:11 pm on January 17th, 2013
Sammie!….And your point is??….sniff!
8:19 pm on January 17th, 2013
Justified!….Woooooo!Hoooooo!…snort!snort!….Justified finally showed up in the ON DEMAND menu…wheeze!…We were sweating it this week hoping and hoping it would be there…heh!
8:27 pm on January 17th, 2013
Kentucky!…At the busy-place my friend has to deal with those hill billie types sometimes…heh!…She was in a meeting the other day and someone said “Kentucky just has a different culture.” So watching Justified sort of prepares her for the busy-place…snorkel!
8:33 pm on January 17th, 2013
NOOOOOOOOOOO!…grump!….That actor that played the fat annoying smuggler on Burn Notice just showed up on Justified…grump!…I hate that guy.

Rio, you’re so puggish.

8:43 pm on January 17th, 2013
Macy, that is scary! But glad you are back!
8:47 pm on January 17th, 2013
Sammie!…I resemble that remark…grunt!
8:52 pm on January 17th, 2013
I’ve been thinking about something you said a couple of days ago. You mentioned retreating from the world. Is this like getting a second chicken skin from your mama. If so, retreating from the world sounds delish.
8:58 pm on January 17th, 2013
Retreating!….She says she is retreating from the world, but she keeps hanging around here…heh!heh!
8:59 pm on January 17th, 2013
Well, I thought I was going to bed.
Two nice things happened.
A phone call from GLAD.
A phone call for OTAS.
Excellent. I think my blood pressure is back to normal.

Dam iPaw. From! Not for.
9:00 pm on January 17th, 2013
I like the idea of retreating. Think about it, Rio—all the chicken skins you can eat.
My mama is getting on a plane early in the morning and will be traveling for a couple of days for work. From wheat she undertands she won’t have access to the internet so you may not hear from her for a couple of days.
9:03 pm on January 17th, 2013
Busy work day here in Chevy Chase, which is why I am late in wishing Leonard (the Storyteller, not the dog) the happiest of birthdays, with many more to come.
9:15 pm on January 17th, 2013
Macy, Please stay around, please.
We are going to watch The Artist. Not sure about this one, but it arrived so we are going to give it a try.
Nighty noodle.
9:17 pm on January 17th, 2013
I think Wose like the Artist if I remember correctly.
9:23 pm on January 17th, 2013
Revivals!…Oh dawg! They’ve got a snake charmer on the show…snort!…This is going to be a wild season of Justified….Wooooo!
9:24 pm on January 17th, 2013
Mah, mah, mah
Re-treatin’ is about the best kind of treatin’ Ah kin think of. Ceptin of course watchin the submarine races with my little sweetheart Miz Macy.
Now, Brother Rio – jest what is yor problem with Kin-tucky? Seems to me y’all have some kind of problem with us Southerners.
Miz Melanie – shor do hope things start looking up for you and Miz Zoe.
Where is Miz Bee – she ain’t made more than jest a little peep all day
9:26 pm on January 17th, 2013
Wose and the Prof loved The Artist and saw it many times.
9:32 pm on January 17th, 2013
Kintucky!….heh!…I don’t have no problem with Kintucky. It is a beautiful state…sniff!…The people in the south are the most polite people around, no doubt about it..snorkel!
9:35 pm on January 17th, 2013
Problems!…I do have problems with some of the wacko’s that audition for American Idol…grump! …They give way too much air-time to those wack-jobs…sneeze!
9:59 pm on January 17th, 2013
Well, truth be told Rio, folks from Kin-tucky is a mite weird. Ah got cousins in Kin-tucky that ain’t got no sense atall. See now, Ah reside in a more civilized part of the south. Down hea, we like to sip our shine whilst sittin under the magnolia tree. Them Kin-tucky folks will just drink their shine right outta the mayo-naise jar
10:03 pm on January 17th, 2013
Shine!…Yup! Mayonaise jars seem to be the glass of choice in Kintucky…heh!heh!…No matter what happens, they are always very polite…sniff!
10:19 pm on January 17th, 2013
Traveling!…I can’t believe Rebeccer is traveling for work again…grunt!…It’s just not fair. She is always gone. Who is going to give Junior his extra chicken skins?…sniff!
10:29 pm on January 17th, 2013
Rio: Don’t you worry. Junior doesn’t starve when I’m not there. Come March, I will be staying put. I’m getting a lot of travel in before the big race.
10:52 pm on January 17th, 2013
Worry!…What me worry?….grunt!….I just want Junior to get enough nourishment and I don’t care for those little planes you fly around in all over Alaska…..sniff!
10:58 pm on January 17th, 2013
Interesting!….We watched The Kings Speech last night…snort!…And he would have to sing his words sometimes to “get it out”. Well tonight on Idol a young man who has a really bad stutter can sing wonderfully!…Wow!…That is vevy very interesting…burp!
11:02 pm on January 17th, 2013
I wonder what size of plane I will be on tomorrow morning. I hadn’t thought about that, yet. This will be my first time going to this location.
Rio: Is your friend warmer today or is she still freezing?
11:32 pm on January 17th, 2013
Mom is retreating, not me, unless she turns the computer off. I hope she did not see that remark about me hanging around, because I think that it would make her very sad.
Hi, Redbone, sweetie!
Thanks, Barb and Maggie.
11:37 pm on January 17th, 2013
Hey everyone – just checking in before we crawl off to our nice warm bed without any baseball toys.
We had a wonderful time with the Big Birthday Celebration dinner. Daddy asked for escargot, steak, asparagus, baked taters and a fruit custard tart for his birthday cake. He got all his wishes, and everything came out perfect. Mama even got him a bottle of Dr.Brown’s Creme Soda. (we only wish we could get Cel-Ray around here)
We also had a card shower – we found so many great, funny card for him. And there was a lottery ticket in each card – not the scratch kind, but the kind where they have the drawings on tv. So he gets to check numbers for the next week or so.
Mama says if he wins, he has to remember that this is a community property state. Hey – the Wrotten KAts already think that EVERYTHING is community property.
Have a safe trip Bella. Check in when you can.
And Macy? – that is one scary picture of dog noses!
11:59 pm on January 17th, 2013
Macy: Give some dainty licks to your mom…that is, if you’re not too busy giving Mr. Redbone Hound dainty licks.
T&G: It sounds like it was a wonderful birthday!
I better turn in soon since I have to get up at the crack of dark. Nighty noodles to all youse.
12:27 am on January 18th, 2013
Macy, so nice to hear from you. Tell your mom to hang in there. Rio, be nice!
Love the alien noses!
6:10 am on January 18th, 2013
Good Morning!
B&M, I hope you enjoyed The Artist. Sammie is right. The Prof and I saw it many times, and loved it more each time we saw it!
Lightning bolts today. I have been told a therapy dog will be waiting for me today. A golen retriever. I believe his name is Bullet….I wonder if it is really Wookie…..
Rebecca, please be careful in your travels. I worry about you too. And please, do not eat any foods that you cannot identify!!!

Smoochers: Time to blur. Wose needs us, plus we might make a new friend.
