Gooood morning, everyone. Isn’t it funny that 2 leggers don’t want to work on a day called Labor Day? We will never figure them out 🙂 Last few hours of the auction so…
Have a Laborious Labor Day Monday.
8:03 am on September 2nd, 2013

Sob . . Sob . . Sob . .
I have been outbid . . AND when the auction ends I will be delivering the City Folk to the Train . .
Snigglefritz.
Bad storms again last night. The pouring rain. Weird weather pattern right now.
Oh, wait. (searching through the desk drawers, pulling it out and dusting it off, smashing it on my face)
(Smile now attached) Good Morning to Everyone!
9:08 am on September 2nd, 2013
Good morning. We are on our very last vacation day. Sob.
The ‘rents were out at the Brit pub listening to music last nght, and while they were gone, they were outbid on many items.
Macy! You had a big scare last night! Glad you managed to unchoke.
Bear and Maskers mom is meeting up with Belly’s mom…wow! Cool!
What else did we read? Can’t remember now darn it.
9:40 am on September 2nd, 2013
Another Maggie on FOC. Will have to go check it out.
Storms here too last night, but it looks beautiful and sunny this morning.
DIL is going to look at our computer today. She is much more techno that either of us. She thinks we caught a virus but if she can’t fix it she knows the guy to call tomorrow.
Out of town friends stopping by later to say hi. The mom is running in a half marathon in Oakbrook, which is about an hour away, so they are going to stop for a brief visit before heading back to central Illinois. They have a two year old half sister of mine name Tacy, who looks a lot like me. Wish she was coming to visit too, but they left her at home. Rats!
9:46 am on September 2nd, 2013
I’ve been talking to Teddy RR. He’s adorable.
9:50 am on September 2nd, 2013
Arrgggh! I will have to bid to talk to Teddy Rough Rider . .
Youse guys make it very difficult on my credit card . .
Talked to YSAS – at least I think it was him, could have been a zombie – they saw a deer last night. LLL found out what the saying, “A deer caught in the headlights” look means.
9:52 am on September 2nd, 2013
The new Maggie doesn’t look anything like me. She looks more like Cosmo. Remember him?
Oh, Happy Labor Day to everyone. Someone said on tv the other day that summer is over so it is time to put away the grill. We don’t stop grilling till it starts snowing.
10:05 am on September 2nd, 2013
Now y’all have to keep it down jist a little. Ah was up late with Rio at AC an fer some reason, mah head is just a poundin
Ah did stop by Miz Macy’s with some fine ground sirloin after her scare last night. She is one purty little ole thing and gives the best dainty licks y’all ever did see.
An would someone be kind enough to remind this ole hound when this here auction closes?
10:10 am on September 2nd, 2013
Redbone Hound: The auction closes today at 4PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

Tyb’s new calendar reminds me of 2 awesome meet-n-greets coming up mid-month.
And I can see/hear clearly now:
Melanie’s work-a-day songs ringing in my ears.
B bidding away and biding her time.
The Howlers howling that vacation is over.
Ole Redbone’s head pounding.
B&M: Grilling away until the snow flies.
10:36 am on September 2nd, 2013
Not to forget our HOH calling out this special Laborious Labor Day…hurray for a terrific day…even though it is the last day of summer. sob.
10:38 am on September 2nd, 2013
And the Last Day of the Auction.
10:39 am on September 2nd, 2013
It’s a good thing Teddy’s shift at AC didn’t start until this morning. I stopped by AC to hit the Bid-O-Matic 3000, bless its rusty parts, a couple of more times. Rio and Redbone were doing the backstroke in the vat of beer and drinking shine. Pancho and Lefty made and appearance as well. As I was leaving, Rio was being double-dog-dared to jump off the high dive (a.k.a. the top of the Bid-O-Matic) into the pool of beer.
I arrived earlier this morning and it seems they all were dared to do the same and took the dare. I moved each to a dog pillow—some didn’t quite make it to a pillow—and put a fresh bowl of water by each.
Redbone: Glad you made it home safely. Luna went to fetch Pancho and Lefty. I don’t believe they recieved a lecture, but surely got ‘the look.’ Rio, is four-paws up and surrounded by baseball toys we had laying around AC.
10:44 am on September 2nd, 2013
I am home from my summer job along with a handful of my mates. The rest of the team with summer jobs will come home later this month. It was good to see my Lady and good to be seen. She gave me loves and ear scrtiches, and I leaned right into her to show her how much I missed her. She says my eyebrows made it home, too. I haven’t seen them. She must have put them away for safe keeping.
10:47 am on September 2nd, 2013
Greetings!
Miss Macy: I was very upset to hear about your episode last night. I am relieved to hear you are doing well, and that Mr. Redbone Hound stopped by to offer you some TLC.
AC: Youse guys rock! Keep up the great job!
Tenzing: How are you feeling? I sit here on the right coast and worrit about all youse four and two-leggeds on the blog. You, sire, have wonderful taste in women. Your lady is wonderful!
Masquers: I am jealous your mom is meeting the Pixie. My flight plans last year didn’t allow for a one-to-one meeting. sniff.
10:49 am on September 2nd, 2013
Happy Labor Day!!
Macy, I am glad you are okay after the scare last night.
TYB, Thanks and very cute photo.
10:50 am on September 2nd, 2013
Tyb: Many thanks for the September calendar page . Do you ever take a bad picture!
Welcome home, Junior!
10:50 am on September 2nd, 2013
Been a lively time at AC and Junior, welcome home, eyebrows and all.
10:59 am on September 2nd, 2013
Bidding is fast and furious at AC.
Welcome home, RJ. And thanks for our calendar, Tyb.
11:06 am on September 2nd, 2013
Junior!…He made it home safe and sound…snort!….Now I can go sleep this off in peace…chuffle!….Teddy is on his game today, be sure to send in your bids and you will get an ear-ful…heh!
11:09 am on September 2nd, 2013
Rio, Just read your question about our bid. Yes, up it by $2 please.
Macy, Glad you are OK. Chew your food carefully!
11:41 am on September 2nd, 2013
Barb!…You have to email newbid@yahoo.com to make this bid official…grunt!
11:42 am on September 2nd, 2013
Barb!…Last night I could have done it for you but I am not working at Auction Central today…heh!
11:43 am on September 2nd, 2013
Teddy is so cute. He said he had is own construction project going in his yard. Perhaps when he is a bit older, he will consider going into business with me. I mean, wow, his feet are going to be bigger than mine.
Welcome home Junior!!
11:45 am on September 2nd, 2013
I don’t think Barb’s computer will let her email so can we figure out a way to help her bid?
11:47 am on September 2nd, 2013
Yes, it is such fun to hear from Agent 00 in Training!
11:50 am on September 2nd, 2013
Hoping this works. Zoë took a video of Mac. We are changing the rug under the Dog Bed. The Dog Bed is Mac’s. He “allows” others of the Pack to use it.
When we moved the rug off the bed . . Mac went with it.
Turn volume down . . snicker . . the fans are going full blast . .

12:07 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Melanie: It Didn’t Work. Can we see it on U-Tube?
12:12 pm on September 2nd, 2013
And when Mac says something is HIS, you’d best believe it!
Mama saw the big dog bed in person yesterday – it is truly a thing of impressive beauty. Upon arriving at Melanie’s house, one sees a gigantic pool (for the dogs), and a gigantic bed (for the dogs) and a room full of water bowls, bones and snacks (for the dogs). There is no question about whose house this really is.
Hi everyone – storms have been rolling around for a while, so we haven’t been allowed on the ‘puter, but now we are off to check the auction and see if there is anything that we can still afford.
12:27 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Less than 4 Hours Left! Ready, Set, Bid!
Welcome Home Rio Jr.
12:52 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio, Barb is a little afraid to switch off here and try to do an email. We were able to view emails this morning but it was a long process. Didn’t try to send any yet, but may attempt it later in the day.
We had trouble with the auction site too. When we clicked on comments then we couldn’t get back to the other items.
1:22 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Tyb: You are one handsome member of the nation withing.
Mac: Tenzing says way to stand your ground. He said that you clearly understand that possession is nine tenths—whatever that is—of the law.
Wose: Tenzing is stable. He has to go back next week for more lab work. The mornign of the CSI episode, his red blood cell count was down 10% from the month before. A few days later it was down another 4%. They want to see if he is still dropping. He’s doing fine. Right now, my best bud is asleep on his favorite pillow. Belle Starr and Luna left for your place just a bit ago. I think they were making a stop for Swedish fish first.
1:49 pm on September 2nd, 2013
After we slept for a while, Luna made us return to AC to clean up the mess we helped make. We saw the Ruff Rider in action! We think he has found his voice. Either that, or he rightfully borrowed it with or without permission from someone. Looks like we’re off the hook for his missing voice.
Ruff Rider: You’re a natural.
2:01 pm on September 2nd, 2013
T. Ruff Rider 00AgentInTraining is doing his part on Labor Day!
2:11 pm on September 2nd, 2013

Happy Labor-free Day everyone!
2:27 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio, We watched 2 episodes of Burn Notice last night, so now we are caught up. We were all on the edge of our seats. EXCITING! This week is the very last episode…ever. Sniff
2:31 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Macy: Ooh! We can be Mr. Redbone Hound’s alibi. We always find ourselves in the position of needing an alibi, but never being one. This is exciting.
2:34 pm on September 2nd, 2013
AUCTION UPDATE: Just one and one half hours to go. We are now at $2500. So everybody, regrab your maw’s or paw’s credit card or break into that piggy bank. Who needs treats anyway (well, I do, but that is another matter). Let’s spend, spend, spend. Whoopie, this is fun!

Not a lot higher Rio, but I don’t want to say just in case someone reads it who wants to bid against me.
3:10 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: Don’t break Barb’s puggy bank all the way. She needs to have spending money for her trip north to Alaska!
3:13 pm on September 2nd, 2013

Woooo hoooo. I may get it! Thanks, Rio for the assistance.
3:26 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Wonder who is going to win #1. We bet we know!
3:28 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Tacy’s family is coming in about 5 minutes, so we will be off the blog for awhile. Will check back about 10 minutes before the close to see if there is any further action needed.
3:33 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Wookie must be so proud of Teddy. He’s been pawing AC like a pro.

BooBear
3:55 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Wolfie: You make me laugh! That is something I would probably do in the excitement of it all.
Less than ten minutes! I stopped by AC to check on the Bid-O-Matic 3000. It’s smoking. It’s sputtering, sneezing and wheezing. I have Belle Starr’s sparkly fire-put-outter at the ready.

4:01 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I wonder if there is money in Snowhook’s budget to upgrade to a new, bigger and better Bid-O-Matic for the next auction!
4:02 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Closed! The auction is now closed! Yeep!
Eveyone stand back. It’s going to blow!

4:11 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We are having some technical problems with Yahoo email and are having trouble accessing the last several bids submitted at right around 4:00 pm. We will try our best but right now there are a number of bids that can’t be opened.
4:13 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Wookie!…Click on the little box to the left of the email then an envelope shows up in the bottom pane – then you can click on the email link…snort!….They changed something in yahoo email and I’ve been fighting with it myself…grump!
4:15 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Wookie’s Paw!…If you want to sign out – I will sign in and see if I can open the bids…sniff!…Let me know.
4:16 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio and Wookie’s Dad – we have had issues with Yahoo too. Hopefully you will be able to access those last minute bids.
4:16 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Way to go Teddy Ruff Rider, Wookie’s Dad and Rio. You guys hung in there while Yahoo crashed with all the action. Thank you all for a great job.

Congratulations to all winners and all bidders. Most of all congratulations to Snowhook!
Thanks to Rio, Teddy and Pancho and Lefty. A wonderful job!
Now I have to get back on the road the City Folk didn’t want to leave.
4:21 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We think mom’s breathing is almost back to normal. Wowser! What a weekend 🙂
Hope it will be a great productive time for Snowhook.
4:27 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We can’t wait to hear the total raised for Snowhook. Thanks all of youse for the great donated items. And to the Auctioneers Rio and Teddy. Our iPaw burned out so now we have to use our super-mini iPaw. Our paws really have trouble posting on this!
4:27 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Technical difficulties at the last minute! It got really exciting, really quick when the Bid-O-Matic started to smoke. I grabbed little Teddy—who is not so little anymore, let me tell youse—around his middle and carrit him out of the line of fire. He held his paw’s laptop in his teeth, but I fear it took most of the impact.
Teddy’s Maw: You’ll notice a pink, foam curler in the Ruff Rider’s tail. Leave it there for a day and his tail should be good as new if not a little more like a cinnomon roll than it was before.
4:27 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio, Yes, that was fine. Paws crossed here!
What did # 1 go for? Lisa Scottoline does that all the time in her books. She names characters after real people and identifies them and their charity in her acknowledgements.
4:30 pm on September 2nd, 2013
So our bidding action created issues for Yahoo? Cool.
4:36 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rebecca!…Check your SDD asap!…snort!
Wolfie!…No, not cool…grunt!
4:38 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Everyone. Stll dealing with the technical issues and will do our best to try to open bids that came in before 4:00 pm but will not accept those time stamped after 4:00 pm. However, as a result of these technical delays, there will be a delay in letting all bidders know who won, but we hope to have those messages out to everyone in the next 24to 48 hours.
4:40 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I can’t wait to hear who won # 1 and then the long wait for the book to come out to see what character gets the name. Fun, fun, fun!
Thanks to all the talented and generous ones who donated some really good stuff. I wasn’t going to bid on anything but I have no self control.
Wolfie: It may be that Yahoo had issues even before our auction but all that furious bidding in the final moments could not have helped.
‘
4:41 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Sorry, Howlers, I know that special bid was important to you.
4:43 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Official!…It is official!…snort!…The Bid O’ Matic has blown a gasket in Biblical proportions and will need to be replaced before the next Auction…sniff!…We will all have to be patient as the final results are retrieved from the belly of the Bid O’ Matic…grunt!….Think Jonah and the Whale…sniff!
4:46 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: Checked and responded. Yeep! Gah! Spit!
4:46 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Hi, T.C.
4:52 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Barb!….It is official – you are the highest bidder on the Item you wanted….Wooo!
4:53 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rebecca!….Check it again for good luck’s sake…sniff!
4:56 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I have stopped again on my way home. I am now picking up Dinner. Sorry to hear about the Bid O’madic. These things happen. We will now be waiting on claws and dew claws for information.
5:05 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: Checked and responded. And, checked and responded again.
5:09 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rebecca!…Same thing is happening to the last SDD – if I sit and wait a few minutes then it is ok…grunt!….Not good for a quick turn-around…grumble!
5:10 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We’re pretty bummed. It looks like we lost out on the one remaining item we were bidding on, but we will wait until the final results are posted to cry because it doesn’t show our final bid that Teddy RR said was the current high bid about 30 minutes before the auction closed. It must have gotten pretty hectic at AC there at the end

5:11 pm on September 2nd, 2013
BooBear!…You have no idea…grunt!
5:12 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: I think it’s time. Should we call the time of death on the Bid-O-Matic 3000, bless its rusty parts? The parts that remain are unidentifiable.
5:13 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Dead!…As a Doornail…sniff!…Time to bury it and get a newer make and model!…grunt!
5:17 pm on September 2nd, 2013
A moment of silence please in honor of our fallen Matic.
5:19 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio – that reminds us, we had a friend whose last name is Dornale. He always hated that expression.

Hi Masquers!
5:20 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rebecca, A check is going in the mail tomorrow. I think I know what I won and didn’t win, but if I am not correct, it can just be a donation to Snowhook.
5:20 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Is two minutes long enough?
5:23 pm on September 2nd, 2013
The suspense is killing us!
5:24 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I won Item1!!! I am so excited about this! Of course, now I have to decide what name to give to be used….my two dachshunds, BJ and Molly, are each looking at me with a look that says “you’d better be giving him MY name!”, and it would be such a thrill to see my name in e-print interacting with Chet….lol, I don’t know what to do!
5:27 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Biblical!…Remember when I said “Biblical proportions”?…sniff!…It could take a while to get the final results…grunt!
5:28 pm on September 2nd, 2013
JOE!….Congratulations!…Wow!…What a great dilemma to find yourself in…heh!heh!
5:30 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I think we killed yahoo. I can’t open mine either.
5:31 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Melanie: More than one, less than three—two minutes sounds about right.
SiberH: You honor us with your support. Does your mom know you have your one checking account?
Joe: Congrats on being the lucky winner! I agree with Rio–what a wonderful dilemma. I hope you had fun being part of the auction. Auction Central always makes things fun in my opinion.
5:31 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Joe, Congratulations! And thanks for supporting Snowhook.
The name “Dima” is a good one. Just sayin’ 🙂
5:32 pm on September 2nd, 2013
What a day…auction and now…a BOX turtle on mom’s bed. Lucy Lou, the Labradoo brought it in. She’s (the turtle, not Lucy) about the size of a softball with very little shell damage. Mom traded a hot dog for the reptile and the Daddy Dawg relocated it to the herb/weed garden. Then to be fair, mom gave us all cookies. Life is gooood 🙂

Wow, Joe!! Congrats and thanks for the generous bid. Better wait until final results are posted before picking between the 2 babies. They said there were still a few bids to open. I’m still hoping that I won what I was bidding on.

Joe for that kind of money I would have to say “screw the pooch” I want to see MY name in a book, lol.
5:35 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Macy!…Snort!
5:39 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Joe: Before I forget, thank you for supoorting Snowhook Kennel with your high bid. I wonder how Spence will use whichever name you choose in the next e-story. I doubt Bernie’s childhood nickname was Mr. Joe Erickson, but I could be wrong. It will be exciting to read next year’s e-story!
Macy: If we killed Yahoo, I doubt they will want to become a sponsor.
Dima: How are you feeling?
5:41 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Screw the pooches! Heh!
5:44 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Bella, if not top of the tip, then very close to it.
Mom stopped us from bidding as high as we wanted because she says that special doc will cost a lot. I’m feeling so good I have no idea why she even wants to take me there. Moms. Go figure.
5:48 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Dima: It is a wonder what our kind won’t do to satisfy the whims of our mothers. It’s easier to go along with it if it puts them at ease. Even if you’re feeling tip, if not top, you can stop by and visit under the Quilt. We always have snacks and enjoy the company.
5:50 pm on September 2nd, 2013
WOW Congratulations Joe and Thank You for supporting Snowhook. We look forward to reading in the e-story whichever name you choose.
Rebecca, I don’t have my own checking account but I am a very talented forger.
5:52 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Dima, My mom says to please let us know what the vet says.
5:54 pm on September 2nd, 2013
SiberH!…You have so many talents. Too bad one of them is not “posting photos on the blog”…grunt!
6:22 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rebecca!…I was finally able to open my SDD, so go and try and open yours now…heh!heh!
6:23 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Grammar!…”go and try and open..”…gah!…It has been a very long weekend…snuffle!
6:31 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Joe: For that amount I think that you should be able to use each name for two characters.
6:41 pm on September 2nd, 2013
RIo: Gone, tried, opened and responded.
6:48 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Siber, my mom says your mom should check her SDD.
7:02 pm on September 2nd, 2013
HOH: My Lady had a box turle when she was younger. His name was Ross. Like your Lucy, my Lady brought the turtle home without telling anyone. She put it in MaBelle’s bathtub until she could pick up an aquarium she arranged to use. Bev is an early riser, so it was about 5:00 one morning when my Lady woke from a dead sleep to the realization that her Bev had been unceremoniously introducted to Ross. Bev did not give my Lady a cookie, can you believe? My Lady had a habbit of bringing home unwanteds or homeless animals growing up. The Giant will tell you she didn’t grow out of it.
7:08 pm on September 2nd, 2013
And now for something completely different . .
On the way home the City Folks were making a connection when the interdiction dog became LLL’s best friend. His handler said he doesn’t usually act like this. She explained she had spent the weekend with five Newfoundland dogs.
He said that explained it
7:14 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: Please check your SDD, but don’t let your Friend see it.
7:20 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I’m glad I have not found a box turtle in my bed. I have had iguanas in the heating system, on the Christmas tree, and various cabinets.
Fish on the floor that have jumped out of the aquarium, lots of crickets, two snapping turtles, various hurt or stunned birds, hundreds of baby praying mantises, snakes (under the house) chickens, goats, a horse, cats and dogs.
That may be it . .
7:29 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Dima, I finally found mom and got her to the computer and she replied.
7:42 pm on September 2nd, 2013
When I was young, I was so desperate for pets that I adopted worms that I’d put in a container with dirt. Crickets, penny frogs, anything that breathed. When the family would go visit the KY grandparents on their farm, they were very smart. They would always have some chick or something set aside to be my pet. Of course, a lot of my childhood was spent crying over dead pets. My family was very patient with me.
7:48 pm on September 2nd, 2013
C.Hobbit, The Raven was very good at Pet Funerals.
I have not heard anything. I fear I have lost my bids.
Bad storms coming our way. They seem to be coming from MollyPop’s Mom and Princess Sam’s way. Ummm, did I do something to offend you?
7:51 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We are hearing rumbles of thunder too, so we are going to bid you all a fond farewell. Seems like that’s the only kind of successful bidding we can do today…sniff, sniff.
Good night all, and good job to all those at Auction Central.
7:57 pm on September 2nd, 2013
CHH: I knew I liked you. I made Coach and Bev participate in funerals for many animals including a raw egg I named Emu. Coach usually presided, Bev played the piano and I was in charge of the euology and graveside service. They, too were very patient with me.
Melanie: Don’t dismay, yet. Information is slow to come out of the wreckage that was the Auction House. Check you SDD.
8:01 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Lots of rumbling here too. In fact, that has been happening all weekend. Meash and I decided we would go indoors awhile. Mom and Pop are still on the porch, and Kat is Dog knows where.
8:03 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Kat is dancing to the music of the storms . .
8:06 pm on September 2nd, 2013
So, what was the final amout on #1? Can you say yet?
8:06 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Kat Dancing? Catchy title.

Riö, Teddy Ruff Rider, Pancho and Lefty,
Franklin has discovered a machine that he, with the help of the Dynamic Duo, could rewired to become the next Bid-O-Matic. He did say something about getting Wölfie to help “liberate” it from a museum.
Anyhoo, here is the picture he took to see if it might work.

8:09 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I remember being 10, sobbing over a dead goldfish. I asked Mom why she didn’t cry and she tried to explain that as an adult, she was used to things dying. I almost went into shock thinking of years of losses that stretched ahead of me.
8:12 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Melanie: the new potential bid-o-matic looks pretty complicated. However, I bow to both Rio’s technical ability and his ability to keep T.Ruff Rider and P&L from pawing it too much in all the wrong places.
8:29 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I think Franklin liked all the gears, knobs and he hopes . . whistles.
I am headed upstairs. i have tried to remain downstairs to be on the big computer, but my eyes keep shutting.
This is not good when I am using an exercise ball as a chair. I tend to fall off.

Seriously!…Youse guys might not hear official word about your bids till tomorrow or (gasp!) even the next day…sniff!…We are hoping for a brighter outcome, but one cannot say for sure in this kind of situation…wheeze…Not this soon anyways.
8:51 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Melanie!…That contraption is nice, but ummmm we are looking to simplify and make things easier….grunt!…”Sleek” is what we are looking for and also “Working”…heh!heh!
8:52 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We can wait, Rio. Hitting the sack now. Good night, all. It has been an eggciting day for shore.
8:56 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We will wait with baity breath as mom slipped us some tuna earlier. So sad that things went really well until 4 pm, then…fubar.
8:59 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Tacy’s family came and left. We had a nice visit. The kids played with me and then Barb gave them a tour of Woodstock since they are big Groundhog Day fans. She drove them around the square, then by the restaurant and the B & B where much of the filming was done. They loved it, then headed for a 3 hour drive home. We gave them a nice marrow bone for Tacy.
Saying good night.
8:59 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Confidant!…I have full confidence that everything will be resolved…snort!…It will take a little longer than we all wanted, that’s all. Do not worry. Just pretend it’s a few days before Christmas and you have to wait and see what you will be getting…chuffle!
9:14 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Oh, dog . . Sleek and working? Not Franklin’s style. He is such a guy. I’ll have to put one of the Ladies on this quest.
Upstairs . . Will be in my bed that I enjoy as much as Riö loves his bed with his baseball toys all around him.
In fact after today I’m surprised that Riö is still awake. What with all of those beer baths.
9:15 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: You have to admint that bid tracking contraption is a lot newer and shinier that the old Bid-O-Matic 3000, may it rest in peace.
9:26 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: Check your SDD.
9:36 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: I can be patient but I don’t know whether to congratulate Joe or not.
Joe E: I remember seeing your gorgeous dachshunds in FOC. I can see where you would be absolutely excited as all get out! Thank you for generously supporting Snowhook.
Good night all.
G’day LizF.
9:36 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Dog grant us patience. Wish the AC workers didn’t have extra work, especially on Labor Day, but like Granny Hound always said, “It it’s not one thing, it’s something else”. Nighty night.
9:39 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Back!…From our walk which is getting longer and longer seeing how Beau is doing better and better…grump!
SDD!…Checked and the cloud of confusion is maybe, possibly gone…heh!heh!
9:50 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Murphy’s Law has hit AC. sigh
Anyhoo, O’Howlers, I showed The Pack the video. They are confused. Why would the dogs go after the balls? They told me that they would have ripped open the bag of food and shared it with everyone.
My eyes are yawing and my mouth is closing.

A piglet for Belle Starr–that is if she notices anything besides the ice cream cone. To add to her “must have” wish list. The baby pig, not the ice cream cone.
9:52 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Pig!…That looks like a baby-Beau…heh!heh!..snort!
9:53 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Must have baby piggy of my very own…
9:59 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Bellie!…If you like Bacon, and we know you do, just say NO to the piggylet…sniff!
10:29 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We all love the Beneful ad. Especially the Wagon of Puppies!
10:40 pm on September 2nd, 2013
What does bacon have to do with having a piglet of my very own. I love them both.
10:44 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Bellie!…Well, one becomes the other, if you get my drift…sniff!…And I know you don’t. So I will say no more…grunt!
10:58 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: I don’t have the heart or the endurance required to explaine the correlation to Belle Starr. It’s right up there with the ‘Where do puppies come from?’ talk.
11:02 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio, Good Luck with Belle Starr, the little piggy, and Bacon. I am not even going to try going there except to say I know what I want for breakfast tomorrow. heh
Auction Central West and Auction Central East did their usual excellent job of running the auction. We appreciate it. I am sorry Yahoo gave you guys so many problems.
Night All
11:09 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Story!…I’ve never heard the story of where puppies come from….sniff!…I thought I knew everything…snort!…You can tell me that one right now…sniff!
11:12 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Rio: Why don’t you ask your Friend’s mother. If the talk doesn’t include a flip chart and diagrams, you’re getting the abridged version.
11:18 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Mother!…heh!snort!heh!….Good one Rebecca!…sneeze!…You are just pulling my tail (again) right now…grunt!…I’m too tired to argue. All those late nights at Auction Central are catching up with me…yawn!gurgle!…All those hot wings, all that beer..gah!..It was fun while it lasted….grunt!
11:20 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Thank you for your service, Commander Rio. Get some rest. You earned it.
11:21 pm on September 2nd, 2013
GoodNight!…All youse guys!…snort!…Time to catch up on some sleep!…snort!
11:25 pm on September 2nd, 2013
We are still working to resolve all the technical issues, but believe we have an auction grand total of $2916. Isn’t that absolutely terrific. And for those of you still awaiting final results on your winning bids, we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
11:28 pm on September 2nd, 2013
Wookie’s Dad: I think that makes it our largest grand total to date. Wow, wheeze and twirl! Snowhook can’t thank all youse enough for everything. Our sled bag runneth over.
11:34 pm on September 2nd, 2013
I’m glad that the auction did well this year, and that I was able to be a part of that. Everyone involved did an amazing job!
11:51 pm on September 2nd, 2013
congratulation to Joe. Mr.Staff is an Erickson. Can you name the character, or whatever, after him? Snicker.
Looks like I won one of my items, but we shall wait for official word. I had another travel day today. One on the first day of the auction and one on the last. At least I got a few bids in….
Thank you Rio and the Rough Rider for their hard work. I am so proud of all of us. WE ARE GREAT!
g’nite youse guys, g’day Liz.

Sharon HOH check your SDD when you wake up in the morning.
Nighty noodle again!
1:16 am on September 3rd, 2013
I was reading this here log when my email whistled,
I was excited. Unfortunately, it was The Iditarod announcing their winners.
Sigh, right idea, wrong group.
Congratulations to the ones who won from our auction and the winners from their raffle.

AC Update: We think we have all the bids opened and tabulated now and are working on the messages to the winners, but given the volume of bids that still may take a while. Based on how Yahoo Mail is working this morning, I.e. extra security, we think the system may have been hacked yesterday, which is the most likely cause of the problems we encountered. The final we gave from last night of $2916 looks right so I think that is official. Thanks to all bidders for your wonderful support of Snowhook!
