Spence is being interviewed. It’s either about sound investment advice in difficult economic times, or the Chet and Bernie series.

Let us hope it is the Chet & Bernie Books!
Good Morning All.
9:29 am on April 23rd, 2013
Gooood morning, everyone! If OFA is doing a Chet & Bernie interview, let’s hope the interviewer doesn’t write (say) ” It’s a good read.” If it is about financial advice and it is good, have Chet pass it along as I’m sure HOH, OH, Siber H, Rio et al would love to let their 4 leggers in on it.
Melanie: Really work at doing nothing.
B&M: Pawsitive thoughts for no floods & continued “somep” pump.
Hobbit: There’s no place like…glad you’re there.
T&G: Give your 2 leggers lots of love.
Anyone not specifically named: It is titilating Tues. Take time to smell something.
9:34 am on April 23rd, 2013
I wonder if “sound investment advice” is a contradiction in terms.
Good morning all.
9:37 am on April 23rd, 2013
Good morning. We here need some of that investment advice. We’ll be waiting with bait on our breadths for whatever Spence has to say.
9:45 am on April 23rd, 2013
LOL. Youse are in Fine Form this morning!
9:57 am on April 23rd, 2013
I just hope the sound investment advice has nothing to do with Hawaiian pants or tin futures.
9:59 am on April 23rd, 2013
We never saw a problem with Hawaiian pants, just not with a plaid shirt!
10:06 am on April 23rd, 2013
Hawaiian shirts, yes. Hawaiian pants, no.
10:12 am on April 23rd, 2013
HOH, we like Hawaiian pants too. Best to wear them with a Hawaiian shirt, in our opinion.
10:23 am on April 23rd, 2013
Wookie’s Dad posted exactly the same thing we were going to post. Darn! Too late for our clever comment!
Wonder who is doing the interview.
Oh, and good morning all.
10:49 am on April 23rd, 2013
I guess Hawaiian Pants could be considered a very, very long term investment.
Good Morning all on this Not Rest Day. Working out pretty well except I have to do computer work for four different people. I was going outside to enjoy the day.
Looking outside, I am going to stay inside.
11:06 am on April 23rd, 2013
We want to see/read the interview if it is about the Chet and Bernie series.
Wookie’s Dad….Good One
I hope Rio’s friend made it to work okay. Colorado’s latest snow storm is just cooler weather here.
That is an excellent photo of Beau.
T&G When you can, please let us know how Leonard is doing today.
11:23 am on April 23rd, 2013
Herbkats: I trust you and the Royals are behaving yourselves.
T&G: Yes, please. What Siber said.
11:44 am on April 23rd, 2013
My investment advice (sound or not) has to do with cash in coffee cans buried in the back yard.
I have never seen a pair of Hawaiian pants but, now that I’m retired, I’d wear some (in the back yard).
Beautiful sunny day with only 3 or 4 inches of sparkling snow gracing the drooping branches of trees.

11:50 am on April 23rd, 2013
Gah!
12:35 pm on April 23rd, 2013
My grandparents buried money in cans in the back yard. Of course, they had lived through the Depression.
Bear: “Gah” what?
12:48 pm on April 23rd, 2013
For Dawson: http://www.mauishirts.com/ladies-hawaiian-capri-pants.html
My grandparents buried peaches in their back yard. snicker
1:00 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Melanie: Why did they bury peaches?
1:11 pm on April 23rd, 2013
It was during Prohibition . . homemade brandy.
I tried it last year. This year I will not put the tops of the jars on tightly. They exploded.
1:25 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Peach brandy, yum!
More rain here. Gah!
1:32 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Today,
I like peaches.

All the heavy snow broke a branch off the rhododendron. I am going to try to force it.
1:33 pm on April 23rd, 2013
I’ve had apricot brandy. I remember the exploding peaches now.
1:39 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Sheesh! At $50. a pair you can count me out on the Hawaiian pants! Because they have pockets and elastic waistbands, I’d consider the ones on sale…except they are made of rayon! How hot (temperature) would I be?
On the other hand, I wouldn’t need a Chet the Dog badge when I went to meet and greet other Plunderers.
2:18 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Warm or not, would anything else say “Plundrer” like those pants?
2:23 pm on April 23rd, 2013
ALERT!!!! Mom has lost her mind…ignore anything she has said for a while.
2:33 pm on April 23rd, 2013
We could all start wearing Hawaiian pants to show our solidarity with Bernie.
I just finished reading the article on the Iditarod in the New Yorker. That is a very good article, and I wish the New Yorker would send this guy every year to the Iditarod to report on it.
I am going to mention this since the author of the article brought it up. Halliburton is the corporate sponsor of the Berington sisters, the twins with pigtails. This is BIG money.
2:35 pm on April 23rd, 2013
HOH We are thinking along the same lines about the Hawaiian pants.
3:00 pm on April 23rd, 2013
B: Stolen avatar!
Siber-H: Halliburton is the Berrington Twins Sponsor?
This is Scary big-time. Is it any wonder they have the Best of the Best on the Trail.
Speaking of the Iditarod…Now reading Rio’s recommended book…Murder on the Iditarod Trail.
Yeep! Thank Dog we were not reading it during the Big Race…not that we would have had the Time.
Herd of Hounds: Don’t worry about any faux paws. Until this here blog sports an Edit Button we all will just have to deal.
3:18 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Staff, Speaking of forcing, remember a month ago when Barb clipped about 2 doz. branches from the neighbor’s “Kitty Willow” bush? She gave a few to Lyla and Jack, and kept the rest in a vase of water. Now every single one of ours and theirs are rooting! We will have a lot of new baby bushes to plant.
More rain. In the 7 day outlook, there are 2 days without chance of rain!
3:33 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Bear, The author of the article said Halliburton. I figure it has to be the Halliburton we are thinking of because why else would he have mentioned it. I wonder how the twins managed that. I agree, it is scary.
It will surprise most of you to learn I have never read, Murder on the Iditarod Trail.
3:47 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Bear: I was given a copy of that book when I visited Snowhook, by one of the friends of Snowhook. Would you recommend? I believe Rio and his friend are reading it. I am having a difficult time trying to find the next book to read from my massive collection of to be read books. Not to mention the books that are on my nook…..Decisions, decisions….
3:52 pm on April 23rd, 2013
We just got a text from Mama at the hospital. Seems she had to grab a few pantlegs around there just to make sure the Storyteller got the best care. He is sleeping quite a bit today, but that is ok. Someone at the hospital gave him some very bad p i l l s over the weekend when Mama wasnt looking, and they did baaaaaddddd things to him .
But today is better. And tomorrow will be better yet
And pretty soon he will be up and about again-and will probably want a pair of Hawaiian pants to boot!
3:56 pm on April 23rd, 2013
That was a good book. Read it many years ago.
So who is going to be the first to sport those pants?
I did two things today that needed brain power. All my brain power is gone.
All 96 pictures from the shower are now primped. I then created a iMovie of them for her. Tomorrow I try to figure out how to go from two iPaw videos to one edited movie. Whew. Then put everything on a thumbdrive and send it to her.
At least I didn’t have to drive anywhere.
4:01 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Wose: We here understand your Dilemma. Likewise, lots of books are in our queue…hardcover and paperbacks…not to mention the many downloaded onto the Kindle.
As to the aforementioned title…we have only just begun. Very unsettling so far reading about familiar checkpoints cloaked in mystery.
.
4:04 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Royal Mum & Melanie: Where do youse get the Energy to do all this?
It is barely past noon and Someone here is fading past.
4:37 pm on April 23rd, 2013
With the “fake paws” and “gah”s, maybe someone should invent an “UNSEND” button!
4:55 pm on April 23rd, 2013
BSD, What are some of the books on your to read list? You seem to like a lot of the same kinds of books and movies as we do. If you havent read Water for Elephants, Barb loved that one.
“Call Julie First” was here today and marked the utilities where we are putting the raised gardens. The only thing our stakes might have hit is Comcast. The other utilities snake around under the gardens, so if the companies ever need to dig and do a repair, they will tear up the gardens. The lines are too deep for our stakes to have damaged. Good thing, because if you damage a ComEd line you can be fined $5,000! That is a lot of veggies!
5:22 pm on April 23rd, 2013
BSD, Power Naps
5:30 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Nap? When mom tries that, the phones ring, someone comes to the door or someone drives up the driveway š She says it is a law.
5:41 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Plumber came while I was out doing volunteer work at my old school. Found the bill for $382–now to see if everything works as it should.
BBL (be back later)
6:37 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Nope, plumbing still not working as it should so I had to call the plumber back. Hope it is part of my original bill! I’ll be at work when he returns so I won’t know until later tonight what happened. Nothing like being left in suspense!
6:40 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Mom likes the Hawaiian capris. She said she is going to order a pair, just as soon as she is back to her high school weight. That will be the 12th of Never.
6:43 pm on April 23rd, 2013
The Pack have been sleeping most of the day.
The snores are unbelievable.
7:20 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Plumbers!…Beau loves those guys…sniff!…The old guy who does work for her mother is his absolute favorite…snort!….Beau sticks to him like glue and yeep!yeeeps! at him wanting him to play – this all drives her mother very crazy…heh!heh!
7:41 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Burgers!…sniff!sniff!….I smell burgers and 32 French fries baking…heh!…More than enough for me!me!me! to beg for and get my fair share of…chuffle!…My friend says she worked through lunch today and is very hungry tonight. I hope she doesn’t gobble down my share of the crinkle fries…wheeze!
7:43 pm on April 23rd, 2013
T&G, It is a good thing your mum is there to look after you da. I would not want to mess with her while she is in a pantleg grabbing way. I’m happy to hear your da is doing better.
7:48 pm on April 23rd, 2013
RIO! Will it be your turn tonight for your friend to take a picture of you staring down her burger and fries?
7:50 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Hey youse guys, look to the right! Wookie would be so proud of his kind!
My question is, is Spence in New York?
7:56 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Feeling better lately, so I will be crawling out from under the quilt. Tenzing does make a very good pillow.
WORRIT! Belle Starr and mama Luna are blurring their way back tonight. They are very concerned about their two-legged. There is talk of stopping by at Rio’s for burgers and crinkly fries. Extra Swedish fish are packed in Belle Starr’s sparkly backpack.
8:12 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Wose! Is Rio going to have to share some of his crinkly fries?
8:19 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Sammie: And his burger too. Swedish fish will not be enough for Luna and Beele Starr.
8:21 pm on April 23rd, 2013
So who is going to Iditarod 2014? Flights can now be booked. Time to twist Grizzly’s arm….
8:24 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Wipe Out! My last post was erased Without a Trace!
Barb&Magpie: We loved the book Water For Elephants, but Not the movie.
The Andy Carpenter Mysteries are a big favorite here also.
8:29 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Wose: Great write-up on the Goldens in Boston.
Speaking of the Wookster…look who’s up top…none other than Rio and his Best Pal posing in front of a very Beautiful Quilt.
8:38 pm on April 23rd, 2013
News of the day. “Fake tweet sends the Dow plunging”. (for about a minute)
The alarming thing was it supposed was tweeted by the Associated Press. Apparently their Twitter account had been hijacked.
a P.S. followed: “Go back to your day. Ignore the news.”
Good advice any day.
8:51 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Just for fun, here’s a picture of Gilly when she was just a baby puppy, wrapped in the arms of her Daddy
8:52 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Rio in his bow tie up top for us.
We just got back from a nice long walk. If youse can believe it, Pop was trying to give us each a treat as Mom was waiting with our walking leashes. We all turned down those treats, to get to our walk faster! Now we are all just laying/lying around the kitchen. Pop went out for hoagies and root beers. After that, it will be bedtime, so we will say goodnight now.
Wose, Mom says to tell you they are thinking about Iditarod 2014 but we don’t know that their funds will make it. The finances are a mess.
9:01 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Walk!…wheeze!…It is damned well below freezing out there and yet we had to go for our long walk just because someone here had a bad day…grumble!sneeze!…Snow everywhere. Makes my paws hurt dammit…sniff!
Finances!…It sounds like CHobbit is the one with her finances in a mess…sniff!…What with all her gamboling debt and now a plumber sucking the last few cents out of her bank account…grunt!…Good luck CHobbit! Please do not write any checks for Auction Items this year….snorkel!
9:16 pm on April 23rd, 2013
SiberH!…Are you watching the game right now?…sniff!… I listened to the afternoon game with my little headphones this afternoon…grunt!…Lost it by one point, what a bummer…wheeze!..I just know tonight will be different…wooooo!
9:24 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Weather! Riƶ, The finger of the fickle weather gods points away from where you are.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday are looking good. I swear!
Weatherkat signing off.
9:27 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Rose!…No one takes fotos of me Ever!…sniff!…I hide under and behind things when the kamera comes out…grunt!…Beau is not smart enough to avoid the kamera. He has no idea what it is…wheeze!
Share!…What is this word? I have no recollection of the meaning of “share”…sniff!…Especially as it relates to food…grunt!
9:28 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Maskers!…You better be right or I am coming after you…grumble!
9:30 pm on April 23rd, 2013
SCORE!…Woooo Hooo! Rockies score first. Cuddyer sends Eric Young Jr home…heh!heh!
9:30 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Rio, Yes, I am watching the game. I didn’t say anything about this afternoon’s game because I didn’t know what you were doing.
The Braves and the Rockies are so evenly matched in wins and losses.
9:43 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Bear!…Can you answer my question about Don Draper now?…sniff!…I mean, what happened to him? He was someone else entirely last season…grunt!….Now, I am having a hard time even liking him.
9:59 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Uptons!…Those Upton Brothers have got to go…grump!…They are more annoying than the well sponsored Berington Sisters…grumble!sniff!
10:17 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Two homers by the Upton brothers was uncalled for. gah
10:26 pm on April 23rd, 2013
SiberH!…Yeeeep!…I am now going to hide under some couch cushions. Call me when our team shows up to play…sniff!
10:37 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Cold!…My theory is Atlanta wants to get into their warm soft beds as soon as possible after being outside in frigid air all day long….grunt!…So they are speeding this game along by rolling over the Rockies with 1-2-3 an-yer out type innings…gasp!
10:39 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Argue!…But no one is around to argue or even care so I guess I am right again…heh!heh!
10:55 pm on April 23rd, 2013
I always have hope that the altitude in Denver will bother a visiting team from sea level. My half-baked theory isn’t working this time.
10:56 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Rio – we just watched Mad Men from Sunday. DD is being just a bit hypocritical, don’t you think? We can’t like him this season.
‘Night. Prayers for quilt-dwellers and that all Plunderers have a good rest.
11:03 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Hyper-critical!…snort!…He is a freakin’ hypocritical, adulterous, egotistical asshole…grunt!…To put it mildly…sniff!…I fear the downfall of the series, which is really a sad thing.
11:06 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Rio: The Season 5 finale of Mad Men hinted at the changes coming.
Our take on Don Draper is that, because of his past, he has a strong need to feel admired and loved. That certainty that he is the center of everyone’s universe is slowly unraveling.
His Wife, Megan, is becoming a success at her chosen profession. Suddenly she is no longer available to be at his beck and call 24/7, both professionally and personally.
His Protege, Peggy has moved on to a rival firm.
His character may not always be acting in a likeable manner, but he certainly is interesting.
I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what develops over the coming episodes.
This is 1968 and The Times They Are a-Changin’
11:08 pm on April 23rd, 2013
SiberH!…I know what you mean, but the Braves are braver than our guys I fear….sniff!…Our guys are falling apart. I need to see something bigger and better in them when they face real strong opposition….grump!
11:12 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Bear!…Excellent observations, but the writers are so obviously turning his character backwards and inwards without showing anything substantial to cause the relapse…snort!…Of course the whole ‘Megan Doing Well’ is supposed to be something, but honestly, he was over the moon when she worked with him and was successful, so I don’t buy it….grump!
11:14 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Bear!…Pete still wants to be Don however….groan!
11:14 pm on April 23rd, 2013

This gurgling in my tummy can’t bode well for a Sound Sleep.
Nite’all – Bear
p.s. Siber-H & Rio: Sorry the Rockies are in a slump tonight.
11:18 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Ah, yes. Pete. The Ultimate Corporate Ladder Climber. That guy has his own issues.
As for Megan working with Don…that was a whole different situation…successful though she was, she was still Part of His World.
11:21 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Window!…Draper, he is a guy caught in the changing times, along with all his baggage and identity confusion, he will be the guy falling out the window in the end…wheeze!
11:23 pm on April 23rd, 2013
Avatar!…Come home!…grump!
11:29 pm on April 23rd, 2013

Dad made homemade fried pickles tonight. Mom thought they were the best she ever ate. Did she share? She did not.
The folks are leaving on a “vacation” on Thursday. They are headed to Austin for a job interview for dad on Friday and then another one on Monday in Corpus Christi, then a couple of days at the beach and making their way home via San Antonio. Am I invited? Again, I am not. ehhh who wants sand all between their toes anyhoo.

I’ve been web surfing above a couple of time currently, nevertheless Irrrve never found out any kind of intriguing write-up including your own property. It can be pretty selling price enough in my opinion. Professionally, in the event that almost all net entrepreneurs and also web owners made good written content while you would, the net is usually a whole lot more useful than in the past.
