“Got to install this new software,” says Admin.
“Not for the blog!” says Spence. “I mean, it won’t screw – it won’t affect the blog, will it?”
“Your point?”
“I’m just remembering some other installs from the past.”
Admin gives him a look. It’s something like the look that Judge Ire gave Nuggets Bolliterri before he sent him to Northern State Correctional. “Rest easy. This software is for the special project.”
“Oh, good,” says Spence. “How’s that going by the way?”
But Admin’s already at the computer, having trouble opening some package.

What special project? (Plunderers are not difficult…just exacting.)
Good morning all.
9:19 am on July 9th, 2011
Well, okay I guess. As long as it won’t affect the blog…..
9:21 am on July 9th, 2011
Good morning B and all!

Garage!…Sale is Open for business!…snort!…My official title is, “Head of Security.”….wheeze!…No one gets out of here without buying something first…heh!heh!
9:30 am on July 9th, 2011
Oh, no! Just checked the auction front. Gasp! With little more than 24 hrs. remaining, only one item remains in our tenuous grasp.

“Plunderers are not difficult…Just exacting.”
Laughing here!
Good morning! Wonder what the special project is?
9:48 am on July 9th, 2011
Good morning everyone.
A special project. For us?
Rio: Your friend picked the right
mandog for the security job. Hope you get rid of tons ofjunktreasures. What!? Only 24 hours left on the auction? How did that happen? Maybe I have time to shop before work. Coffee! Now!

Staff: A big thank you for converting Dawson’s photo to .jpg. Nana is on the last couple of chapters of The Search. It was difficult to put down for the night, but she was too tired to finish it.
Barb&Magpie: We agree. The “shut-up” parts were a little too much and, we felt, quite unnecessary to the story line. Otherwise, the dialog between characters was clever and funny. Also, my preference would have been less descriptive content on the romance. It took the book into a different genre somehow.
Anyone else interested in reading the book? Let me know and I’ll send it on to you.

Space geek here! Just found an app for iPad and iPhone that’s called GoAtlantis.
Tracks the space station and Atlantis as they go around the earth, catch up to each other. IT IS AWESOME!
Dan is loving it. He says it’s like he’s in control of the mission.
LOL
10:20 am on July 9th, 2011
Melanie: I’m going to check GoAtlantis out right now. Love that kind of thing! That this is the last mission for the Space Program is very sad news for those of us who felt it was a worth while venture.
10:30 am on July 9th, 2011
Masquers, Dan is now moving the world with his fingers!
Note to self: Next year do NOT plant Kentucky Pole Beans indoors and then transplant them. Ditto on the onions. START the tomatoes in MARCH.
So my Kentucky Pole Beans have been anemic. So I planted seeds right next to them. Those have come up, are vigorous and happy. In one week they are 4 inches tall.
The tomatoes are fine, but only 4 inches tall. The onions? Well, they’re alive. . .
10:42 am on July 9th, 2011
I have Space Walk on my iPad. (Mollypop told me about it.) I’m looking at the ISS right now. It’s near Acamar (from Arabic for “the end of the river” according to the info)

BSD and Nana, Totally agree on The Search. Barb always told her kids Shut Up was rude and not allowed in her household. Agree also on the sex/romance part. Didn’t add to the story for us. Is that more typical of Nora R.?
Well today is a busy day. Glad auction ends tomorrow and not today. Barb’s son, a crazy guy, is on his way out here on his bike. Yes, that would be not be a motorcycle, but a man-powered bike! 100 miles. His wife and kids will be leaving a few hours later, and can pick him up if necessary. He told Barb not to plan any projects, just dinner. Wonder why!
We are going to go work on some food. Will keep you posted as to his progress. BBL
11:26 am on July 9th, 2011
I tried doing some gardening but gave up on it. The seed package said BEEFSTEAK. But all I got was some durn tomatoes!
11:36 am on July 9th, 2011
B., we wonder if “difficult” and “exacting” might, just might be the same in this case!! LOL
Mr.Redbone, we tend to agree about the gardening. We do water our outdoor “pretty” plants, but gardening for food? That’s what the grocery store is for. PLUS, when do all y’all find time to: Read(1st and foremost in our minds), watch TV, enjoy sports, catch up on the blog, work(a necessary evil), keep up with sports, garden, sleep, quilt, and everything else you do???
Mom is in awe.
11:38 am on July 9th, 2011
And there are those of us who still have a little of the “romance reader” in us.
11:55 am on July 9th, 2011
Barb, Let us know how many miles your boy makes on his bike. We are cheering for him.
I am dying to know if Rio got a new Subaru, and I know he is going to keep us in suspense.
The alternate landing strip for the Space Shuttle in White Sands, NM, will be shut down now. sob, sob, The shuttle only needed to land there once.
11:58 am on July 9th, 2011
One thing I find frustrating about the iTunes app store is that I can’t find a space to type in a search. They make be sort by category and go through everything. Grump. What is GoAtlantis under?
Redbone: You’re funny.
G&BB: I think there is something more “justified” about “exacting” that isn’t part of being difficult.
12:00 pm on July 9th, 2011
Barb and Maggie, that romance part is very typical of Nora Roberts. She started as a romance writer.
When your son gets there ask him if he is ‘Mapping his ride?’. Then tell him that “Thor (pronounced Tor) is still in yellow”… Heh heh heh. See what he says and report back.
Gus and BooBear, I too am a lover of romance. There is too much pain and sadness in the world. I like to have a happy ending in my books at least.
I didn’t sleep well last night so I am going to enjoy a nap.
BBL
12:16 pm on July 9th, 2011
Barb&Maggie: Wow! 100 miles on a bicycle. I wonder how long it will take him. We’ve been known to have trouble with 4 mi. or less, especially on a hot summer day.
This Nora Roberts book was our first so don’t know how the others are. Melanie: You are now reading Chasing Fire, right?
Siber-H: The Space Shuttle landed once at Edwards Air Force Base in California in November 2009, but we had already moved back to Washington by that time.
12:21 pm on July 9th, 2011
Staff, We will ask him. Don’t know what Thor is, but he probably does. I know he did some sort of a map quest, but not sure what. Taking the main hwy from pt a to pt b is around 86 miles to his house. He was complaining because side roads put him at 102 miles, but he can’t do Rt 20 if he wants to get here in one piece.
We like happy endings and romance, but didn’t think some of the more graphic stuff really added to the story. Maybe must N R readers expect that.
Got the potato salad made. BBL
12:23 pm on July 9th, 2011
Mr.Redbone: I know a lot of dogs who would be buying those seed packets you mentioned if only they produced the imagined result. Boy, talk about growing your own food!
12:24 pm on July 9th, 2011
Most readers, not must readers.
BSD, Josh says he can do 20 miles the first hour, but he has never tried anything like this undertaking before.
12:31 pm on July 9th, 2011
B. – In iTunes click on App Store, at the top right is the search box (with the magnifying glass), type in GoAtlantis and you’ve got it.
12:31 pm on July 9th, 2011
Mr Red, A lot of tomato varieties are called “beefsteak type”. Sorry you were disillusioned, but it just means a large “meaty” type of tomato. Doesn’t really taste beefy.
12:46 pm on July 9th, 2011
Barb and Maggie,
I love the Tour. That is the Tour de France. It is on for the first three weeks of July. You can watch it on versus (tv channel) or online.
If you watch it online and are an ardent biker you can ride your bike and try to match the tour riders on ‘Map my Ride’. There are prizes and stuff for the normal people.
Thor Hushovd, Norwegian riding for the Garmin-Cervelo team, is in first place and so he gets to wear the yellow jersey. Thus he is ‘in yellow’.
The race today was 208 km. which is about 129 miles.
12:56 pm on July 9th, 2011
Bee, I purchase all my Aps at the AP Store, which is on the main page of the Ipaw. The search box is in the upper right hand corner.
A special project? Oh, me oh my! I am most curious!
1:01 pm on July 9th, 2011
Dear plunderers: so much to tell you, so little time! Jasper’s mom here to report.
First, NR is the QUEEN of romance novels. I am not ashamed to admit that I purchase anything NR or her pseudo (J.D. Robb) authors ASAP. Yes, I have a Kindle. Must have actual book of NR. Being a single lady and completely happy with that status, I live vicariously via NR novels. That may be leaning into TMI, so “that’s all I’ve got to say about that!”
Secondly, we are MOVING! Yes, MOVING! No more longass days driving back and forth from Grand Rapids to Lansing. All you facebookie types have all the scoop (including pics) so this is probably old news.
Moving day is one week (GAH! one week!) from today and I am packing like a dervish. Jazzy is doing his best to stay out of my way, but I did step on his paw the other night. Oww. After living in the same place for 15 years, you would not believe (maybe you would?)the crapadoodle that has accumulated. I am trashing and giving away almost as much stuff as I’m putting into boxes.
Also, my window A/C unit crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night, so I’ve got fans everywhere and it it’s still miserably hot. Anything over 82 is very uncomfortable for me.
Thirdly, the crap that went down here in GRR on Wed with the murders and hostages was just horriffic. So thankful and proud of the law enforcement here in West Michigan as so many other communities sent their officers to assist as every LE asset was used. Unfortunately, I do have a tie to some of the victims. My BIL is a manager at KMart, and a K employee is the mother of the two sisters and one of the children that were killed. Even worse…this lady finished her shift at the K, then went home and discovered the bodies. Cannot imagine her grief and pain. This is all her family, all her children.
I have more to tell you, but I’ll start a different post…
1:10 pm on July 9th, 2011
Thanks Mollypop and Wolfie. GoAtlantis is loading as I type.
1:13 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s Mom: I’m so happy that you will be moving and making life easier for you. It will be nice to have the extra time to your day. Congrats. On a different note, I hope comfort finds all those, including you who are impacted by the tragedy.
1:22 pm on July 9th, 2011
To continue…
The very worst thing happened yesterday. Horrible, terrible, awful, bad, icky thing. I hit a man on a bicycle with my car. I called 911 right away and within 30 seconds I could hear the sirens. It happened within a half mile of the fire station. Thank Dog they were there so quick! He has minor injuries: cuts on his head and arm, and a sore shoulder. He never lost consciousness and other drivers immediately stopped and helped him get up and walk to the curb and sit down. A nurse was there and cared for him until the ambu arrived. She came to me and said that the man said to tell me that he was not hurt bad, he wasn’t angry with me, and he knew that I did not see him coming. Another car passing by hit the man’s bike and it was stuck under his car. I got a ticket for failure to yield.
I called my sister and she came to be with me. Then she took me for kawfee and made sure I had some eggs (protein) and then I went to work. Working helped to keep my mind off it, but I didn’t do anything where I had to think too hard. I organized my files, and prioritized my work.
I have some mental pictures that flash in and out of him falling to the road, him rolling over and his face skrunched up in pain, and the blood on his head. I replace those pictures with him getting up and walking, the nurse, the ambu and the Kent Co Sherrif officer who was so nice to me.
I also called my car insurance guy right away. I have no damage at all to my car, but I’m sure the man’s medical bills, replacing his bike, etc., my insurance company will have to deal with it. I also would have no problem buying the man a new bike myself.
Just in April I was thinking about how I could reduce my expenses and seriously considered reducing my full coverage car insurance to just the minimum. I decided to keep the full coverage, and thank DOG! I did.
I have never had anything like this happen and I have been driving for almost 40 years. I have never been in an accident where I’ve been at fault. Can any of you plunderers shed some light on what I can expect? Can I be sued personally, or will my car insurance be sufficient? Will my insurance costs go up? Any insight or advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
1:48 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s mom: What a terrible experience. I don’t know much about insurance matters. Your insurance agent should be able to answer questions. I hope you’re okay and that everything works out well.
1:59 pm on July 9th, 2011
My brother and I are going to a lecture on Schubert. It’s given by a pianist who will be performing a Schubert concert that we’re going to tomorrow.
1:59 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s mom, Maybe Barb or Wookie can help you with this. I do know that you did everything right. I think your insurance will cover this. He was not badly hurt at all. I can only speak for the state I live in, but even if he tried suing you, he wouldn’t collect much, (because he wasn’t badly hurt) and it is your insurance company’s job to cover that amount.
He sounds like a decent guy.
Do not be too hard on yourself. It was an accident and it could happen to any driver no matter how careful we are.
Think good thoughts and and be happy about the move and how much easier life will be for you being closer to work.
You are going to be fine and so is the guy on the bicycle.
2:00 pm on July 9th, 2011
To clarify: The lecture is this afternoon.
2:01 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s Mom: Like Bee, I hope you are ok and everything will work out well for you and the bicyclist. I would ask my insurance agent on the particulars as to what to expect. Time will lessen the horrible images from your mind.
Wolfie: Please tell your mom that the eagle has landed. 🙂
2:12 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s mom: Nana here. My heart goes out to you! What a horrific experience. As to what to expect; I was in insurance subrogation claims, but it was many, many years ago. I do know you did everything right after the accident. Your insurance company will take charge from this point on and will even defend you, if it ever comes to that. Barb&Maggie would know more. Sending Good Thoughts your way.
2:15 pm on July 9th, 2011
Rundt-Over!….Wow! I sure wish some of you guys watched that show Breaking Bad…snort!… I could write a great post about the similarities of Jaspers accidental running over of someone and the shows main character running over some bad guys…heh!snort!…Although, I don’t think the main character in the show felt nearly as bad as Jaspers’ gal does…snuff!
2:36 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s Mom We are back and just read your post. Don’t worry, you did everything right. Accidents happen, and that is why you carry insurance. If you had reduced your coverage and not had “full coverage” you might have been considering taking off comp or collision. That wouldn’t have mattered here.
This guy will be covered under the Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability part of your policy. Medical is usually for people in your car. If you had lowered the limits of BI/PD you might run into some problems, because you will definitely be liable, unless the bike rider was not where he should have been.
(Incidently, your BI limits should be equal to or greater tnan your personal assest). Never, never carry the state minimum limits, unless you have absolutely not a dime to your name.
You may be carrying 100/300/100, or 250/500/100, 2 of the most popular coverages. That would mean $100,000 of liability per person, $300,000 total per acdident, and an additional $100,000 property damage. The BI covers the guy, the PD covers his bike. There is no deductible on BI/PD. Any questions?
2:43 pm on July 9th, 2011
One more thing, if you have a claims-free insurance record your rates may not go up at all. Some companies forgive one accident, others may raise your rate a little, because you could loose part of your good-driving-discount. Either way, it wouldn;t amount to much. A company usually only cancels a driver after several at-fault claims, or if a person had a DUI, or did something criminal. If Michigan is a no-fault state, there could be a difference in how your claim is settled.
2:51 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s Mom, you did the correct thing for the man. More power to you! And, replacing the pictures in your head should help you.
Barb’s son sounds like my Engineer Nephew. LOVES biking. Very serious. Does races but I’m not sure he’s ever done 102 miles. Whew. Hope he’s not taking the Newfs with him.
Went and got my gluten free bread. The baker does this out of her own house. She doesn’t get out much, so we ended up talking for an hour. Whew.
I’m seriously thinking about doing a cold frame. Anyone know anything about it?
2:51 pm on July 9th, 2011
The mitten is a no fault state. I have 100/300/100. Bike rider was on the sidewalk, I didn’t look and didn’t see him until I heard “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” I immediately braked, and felt the bump and saw him fall.
2:52 pm on July 9th, 2011
Would love to place a “cold frame” against my body right now to cool off. Have no clue…what is a cold frame?
3:03 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s mom, I figure you weren’t on the sidewalk. Did he just come into the road?
Cold Frame. . . something full of dirt to put your seed in to grow a lot faster than mine have done.
I think you are looking for the refrigerator . . .
3:09 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper & mom: We sympathize with your situation-trying to pack and move in the heat. Just take things in small increments and you should be okay.
3:16 pm on July 9th, 2011
Michigan aka the mitten. Hmm..don’t think I’ve heard that one before. Very cute! By the way-I like your image replacement technique: Focus on the Good ending. It has always worked for me.
3:16 pm on July 9th, 2011
I read EVERYTHING. When I was young, I would take the cereal boxes into the downstairs bathroom so I could read them. I read the back of food cartons, comics, magazines, and record album (remember those) backs.
At the age of 10 I discovered Science Fiction and read the entire SF selection in the adult section of the library. I then went on to broaden my reading list to anything that caught my interest.
I read Nora Roberts, but I prefer her writing as Robb. If I’m in the mood for the extra detailed love scenes I read them, if not I skip over them. It’s not like I haven’t read them before.
I enjoy Janet Evanovich’s pure delight fiction as well as Koontz and King’s horror.
I like court dramas, police procedures, Victorian age fiction, Shakespeare, detectives- both old and new, Maeve Binchey and Barbara Kingsolver. And lots and lots and lots more!
I don’t enjoy South American writers. I have no idea why, just can’t get into them.
Zoë reads biographies, I rarely do, and it’s a good thing we now have Kindles, we were running out of room in the house and we like to re-read books.
We stopped going to the library, because we were always buying them new books after the Pack would chew, eat or drool on the borrowed copies.
I LOVE reading! My sister belongs to two reading clubs. I have you guys!
3:19 pm on July 9th, 2011
Melanie, Barb has never used a cold frame, but usually it is just for starting or hardening-off your plants before putting them in their permanent location. What you may need for your veggies is just more sum. 6 hours of full sun a day works best.
Jasper, Barb worked in a fault state or comparative-neglecence, where the at-fault party paid. Don’t know much about insurance in the 12 or 13 states that have no fault. Think the way it works is that each person’s auto insurance pays their own damages. Since the injured guy was not in his car, I would assume your insurance would pay. At 100/300/100 you will be fine.
Some companies just have one limit called CSL, combined single limit, where the amount of coverage can be divided up any which way in an accident.
BTW, Melanie, Son is not the one with Newfs, that is daughter, Kelly. Son just reported that he is about 35-40 miles away. Doing well, except that a very unfriendly yellow lab ran out from someone’s driveway and attacked him. His feet were clamped into the pedals, so the dog knocked him over when it started bitting him. He fell in gravel and wrecked his new $50.00 biking shirt. Then the dog wouldn’t let him in the driveway to tell the owner. He was pissed!
3:20 pm on July 9th, 2011
Oh yeah, at age 14 I tried reading “The Brothers Karamazov” couldn’t keep all those names straight. I tried it again in college had the same trouble. So I’ve never read Dostoevsky’s books.
3:21 pm on July 9th, 2011
Barb, he should be pissed! That is very dangerous. Wouldn’t have thought that was lab behavior. I bet the owner was hiding in the house.
3:28 pm on July 9th, 2011
Melanie: Us too! love, Love, LOVE to read! King and Koontz are big favorites here. Anything to do with Dogs. Don’t have a Kindle, but we understand it is possible to download books from Amazon onto one’s PC. It just seems so tedious to read from a computer screen rather than the comfort of one’s bed or easy chair (B?) Melanie, we understand perfectly the Kindle incident with one of the pack members, who shall not be named. A book in hand, or paw, is The Best.
3:34 pm on July 9th, 2011
GOOD DOG! I forgot my favorite authors Peter Spencer Quinn Abrahams!!!
Bad dog, Melanie
Bad dog!
3:42 pm on July 9th, 2011
My Dear Melanie: No Bad Dogs on this blog! Don’t give up on Dostoevsky just yet. Crime and Punishment is a Classic. And, of course, it is understood by all that at the tip top of our list of favorite authors would be SQ/PA.

Sale!…The garage sale is over!….wheeze!…In the nick of time too. It is way too hot out to be nipping at anybodies heels right now…grunt! …We are down in the basement cooling off. She says she made enough money to make all the hard work worth it…heh! …I heard them say, “We are never doing that again, ever!”…snort! …Finally some good news…wooo!wooo!
SiberH!…My blue smelly car is back where it belongs and the white weird smelling car is gone…heh!….Everything is right with the world again,…sniff!sniff!
4:26 pm on July 9th, 2011
Rio, Your blue car should go on running good for a long time for you and your friend.
There is some talk anyway of “new car smell” being somewhat toxic.
4:33 pm on July 9th, 2011
I’m glad the garage sale went well because they ARE a lot of work.
4:37 pm on July 9th, 2011
Blue!…Ole Blue is new on the inside and old on the outside. Or at least that’s what I heard her say when she came home with it…snort!…She also said, “He can kiss his treat and baseball toy budget goodbye.” …grump!
4:38 pm on July 9th, 2011
Jasper’s mom. My dad doesn’t want to try offering legal advice over the blog, but in general we would echo what everyone else has said, you did everything right and your insurance company should take the lead in dealing with this. You acted very responsibly under the circumstances, which is commendable, and as we know, that is something that not everyone does these days. Wookie

Oldies, but goodies: Our old faithful friends, be they cars or otherwise, are difficult to let go of, even though they sometimes may let us down. May the three of you have many years of good travels and very few bumps in the road ahead.

The trouble with having 2 dogs “to keep each other company” are on those days when they decide that they don’t like each other and both of them want to be an only dog. I am thinking of changing Sadie Bear’s name to Whiny Puppy.
My gardening story: my mom was an avid gardener and wanted both of her daughters to be ones too. Well, my sister was allergic to everything outdoors and when I was given a packet of radishes to plant, instead of planting them 6″ apart like the directions said, I planted them 6″ deep.
Good luck Jasper’s mom with the move. I hate to tell you this but I think that unpacking is even harder than packing. You are going to be one tired puppy when all this is done.
Melanie: how in the world do you get so much stuff done–and to be an avid reader also!!
5:26 pm on July 9th, 2011
Thanks for the warning Agent Wookie. We will be keeping an eye on the two items we are still in the running for. Heh.
Alice, Abbie and Staff have pooled our pennies and catnip. (Although Rio said the catnip wasn’t worth anything.) sniff

C.Harris: To tell you the truth, I never feel like I get enough completed. Always in a state of Konstant Ketchup!
I just watered the Fuchias. I bought two of them so that Dan would have some humming birds to see. None sighted yet.
6:33 pm on July 9th, 2011
We’ve has sold four patches already! Can you believe? This is so exciting.
Auction Central: SDD message received and response sent. All is well.
(Whispering) I overheard Bev on the phone today with one of her sisters. Words were spoken along the lines of: “Yes, she talks to the dogs and cats online,” “they are so special,” “Coach and I just love those them,” “they call themselves the Plunderers, but I don’t know what that means. No, I don’t think it is a bad thing.”
6:38 pm on July 9th, 2011
For Dean Koontz lovers: Mom listened to the audio tape of Fear Nothing and said it was far superior to reading the book. That had to do with the voices. The dog is Orson. There’s more on the tape (now a CD) than is in the book.
7:23 pm on July 9th, 2011
MollyPop: That’s good to know, since my library doesn’t have the book version of Fear Nothing in stock. I normally don’t like audio books, but will certainly try this one as per your recommendation.
Have read the second book in the series, Seize the Night. Also, understand there was to have been a third book that was never completed. Koontz instead began writing the Odd Thomas novels, never returning to Orson and Moonlight Bay.
7:32 pm on July 9th, 2011
Bear – Duh! I didn’t even know there was the other Koontz book – Seize the Night. We will have to get the audio of that one since it’s probably the same characters.
7:33 pm on July 9th, 2011
(Whispering) I was trying to keep this to myself, but I’m excited. A couple of evenings ago I checked our Kennel email and found an email from a casting director asking us if we would like to be considered for a documentary. The documentary will cover all the preparation that goes into the race as well as the race itself. If we are interested in being considered for the documentary, we need to submit an application/brief video. Nothing is set in stone, but as Coach put it, “It’s always nice to be invited to the party even if you don’t get to dance.”

Hey, y’all! Mom’s home from work so I finally got a chance to check on my auction item — I’m still the top bidder! I fully expect that to change between now and noon tomorrow. I think I’d better practice my email skills so I can get that last-second bid in. These paws don’t type quite as quickly as I’d like!
Jasper’s Mom: I read about your recent incident with such sorrow. I can see that something like that — despite the relatively minor outcome — would haunt your dreams. I’m hoping much better things come along to take its place really soon!

Rebecca, Your secret is safe with us. YIPPIE!!!!
7:38 pm on July 9th, 2011
Rebecca: How exciting! I would think that the fact that you have such a wide fan base would tip the scales in your favor! Anyone we can pester???
7:42 pm on July 9th, 2011
Dear Rebecca,
I am sure that a lot of dogs (and kats) writing letters in your support will help greatly. Snicker…
7:50 pm on July 9th, 2011
SnowBella! OMD! This is so exciting! Bear is leaping up into the air with barks of joy. We smell Stardom in the very near future for you, AJ and the Pack. Go Snowhook!
7:56 pm on July 9th, 2011
Documentary!…I don’t want to be in any damned intrusive documentary..snort!…Thats one big Kamera they drag around and invade your home and life with…sniff!…Better leave me and my friend out of it. As far as those guys are concerned we don’t exist….grunt!gruffle!
8:04 pm on July 9th, 2011
Listen!…And another damned thing, as long as I’m in a bad mood and have the floor…heh!…You guys better pay attention to the Auction Rules Wookie laid out up there…sniff!…No whining and complaining that yer software wasn’t working at full speed 5 minutes before cut-off time…Nope!… Once the clock turns NOON EST, no more bids will be accepted…snort!…And this goes for Dawson, Natasha and that Joe guy, whoever he is…wheeze!cough! spit!
Rockies!….They are playing and we are watching right now…snort!…Best time of the day for sure…heh!
8:07 pm on July 9th, 2011
My brother and I split a Reuben from Zingerman’s. Yum. The lecture was great.
Watching Vicky Christina Barcelona, a Woody Allen movie I didn’t see when it came out. Strange so far.
You guys have been busy talking about reading….
8:07 pm on July 9th, 2011
Bella: A secret is always safe with us kats. Can’t vouch for those dogs though. You know how they bark at any news. Heh! Bear has you at the Academy Award Ceremonies already; accepting the Oscar for Best Documentary.
8:18 pm on July 9th, 2011
Rebecca, AJ, and the team would be the very best goodwill ambassadors for long distance dog mushing. I hope the casting director figures this out quickly.
8:19 pm on July 9th, 2011
Rebecca: I think a documentary would be wonderful! When will you know?
8:20 pm on July 9th, 2011
Probably nothing will come of it; it is a casting call that I’m sure went out to all teams signed up for the uncoming race, but it is just exciting that someone even thought to send such an email to our little no name kennel.
I wonder if we can use YSAS’ award acceptance speeches that Natasia, Rio and Dawson drafted… 🙂
8:21 pm on July 9th, 2011
B: Heh,heh. Woody Allen movies are always a little bit strange, it’s part of their charm. As I recall, in 2009, Penelope Cruz won Best Supporting Actress for her role in that film.
8:23 pm on July 9th, 2011
Professor B: I believe our application/video submission is due at the end of this month so anytime after the end of July. I spoke with AJ earlier today and he was a bit excited which is big for a man that has a great poker face for someone who doesn’t gamble. I got even more excited after talking to him.
8:26 pm on July 9th, 2011
Famous!….Just like Chet and Company, you guys will get all famous and important and then you will forget about the Plunderers….sniffle!…You will be off in Wonderland and leave all of us behind as we watch you become Superstars…sneeze!… We will always be here, but I bet Snowhook and Chet forget about us the minute real Stardom hits…wuffle!wheeze!sniffle!
8:30 pm on July 9th, 2011
Snowhook Bella: Huh? I didn’t draft anything. Unless you’re talking about that little pamphlet, “10 Great Ways To Bug a Pug”. But that isn’t available in the lower 48.
Rio: I hope you have your eye on the ball at the closing of the Auction. I’m not talking about the Rockies baseball game, either!
8:34 pm on July 9th, 2011
SnowBella: Due by the end of July? Good dog, as if you weren’t busy enough already! Hope someone will step forward to help you & AJ out. Any famous Directors lurking out there?
8:36 pm on July 9th, 2011
Masquers: Cruz hasn’t showed up yet in the film.
8:38 pm on July 9th, 2011
Auction!….Don’t worry Dawson. Wookie and Eye will be watching all the bids very carefully tomorrow…heh!… I will know exactly when to put my winning bid in to beat you for “you know what!”…chorkel …There are some advantages to being ‘Auction Central’ you know…sniff!…I will add this to my top-ten list of how to bug a Canadian…heh!
8:39 pm on July 9th, 2011
Time to say
Good Nite!

Wow, Jasper & Mom. What a day for you. Thank goodness you did everything right and that the guy wasn’t hurt badly. Mom has been in several accidents…she went through a period where she thought she could read and drive at the same time. She did finally realize that she couldn’t. Now, she won’t even read texts that come in and certainly won’t text back. Many of her friends do and that is just scarey. She can’t imagine how some people can have accidents and just leave the scene. Luckily, no one has ever been hurt in her accidents, but that is always the first question….”are you alright?” Sounds like you were lucky that the guy is a nice guy. Once mom hit a vet (animal dr, not someone in the armed forces). Crumpled her car up good, did no damage to his big truck and he helped her secure a loose piece of her car with a dog leash.
Anyway, good luck with the move. Jasper will be happy to have you home at an earlier hour.
Off to check the auction……
8:41 pm on July 9th, 2011
B: When she shows up you’ll know it!
8:41 pm on July 9th, 2011
Theater!…For a while there I thought Stover was posting from a movie theater while watching a bad movie…heh! ridiculous!…Then I realized she was probably watching a bad video…snorkel!
8:43 pm on July 9th, 2011
How cool, Rebecca!! We could see the dogs and AJ in action! (PS, guys!! Think how valuable our Snowhook stuff will become, not that we would part with any of it.)
8:47 pm on July 9th, 2011
Snowhook could sell the dvds of the documentary on their website. It doesn’t hurt to dream big.
8:49 pm on July 9th, 2011
Dawson: I was referring to the back and forth between Natasia and Rio about YSAS headshot and how he would thank each when receiving his many awards that are in his future. I was laughing quite hard, but laughed even harder when you swooped in with: simply, “Dawson, I love you.”
8:50 pm on July 9th, 2011
OMG!…Puss N’ Boots! You may have something there…sniff!…The Snowhook Auction Items may be worth a fortune down the road when the Documentary wins the Academy Award for Best Documentary…snort!snort!….I hope I get complimentary tickets to the show, or the Red Carpet, or sumthing…wooooo!….If I had any money I would be betting big on the Snowhook stuff right now…Wow!snorkel! …Sometimes those old farty pants Kats hit the nail on the head…heh!
8:58 pm on July 9th, 2011
This is all very interesting. But, alas, it is time for me to go. I must be ready in the early morning hours. Ready with a sharp mind and sharpened claws. Paws flying across the keyboard to secure my most treasured items.
Until tomorrow then…
9:00 pm on July 9th, 2011
Rio: The Plunderers will never be forgotten or overlooked, especially not the Pug who encouraged me to visit Chet’s in the first place. I don’t think Chet and company has forgotten or will forget the Plunderers either. Mind it was our beloved author that donated the ARC, recently posted a Newf Pack production on the blog and will hopefully go to an upcoming art show of the Royals’ mum (fingers crossed).
9:09 pm on July 9th, 2011
This movie is from Netflix. It’s extremely tedious.
9:16 pm on July 9th, 2011

9:26 pm on July 9th, 2011
Headed back to bed, but had to check the blog. That is GREAT news Bella!
I have to say that you’ll have an “in” when you talk about some of your supporters. I don’t think any other team has anything like The Plunderers.
YSAS will be available for coaching on any dialog or acceptance speeches.
Now I have to get back to bed!

Hello to anyone who is still up. We are coming to the party late tonight. Been working on lots and lots of clay. Learning from AQ has been amazing – Mama knew there was a lot she could learn about clay, but the new things that she is experimenting with with her teacher are just making her want to spend day and night with clay under her fingers.
Lots of stuff going on today. Jasper – paws crossed for your mom – sounds like you have gotten some good advice.
Barb and Maggie – you continue to astound us with the broad spectrum of your expertise in so many areas.
Rebecca – how cool is that with the casting call. Melanie has a very good point – Snowhook already has a great human interest theme going on – what a wonderful boost it will be when they select YOUR Wonderful kennel full of individualists.
Rio and Siber – congrats on the Rockies win.
Looking forward to the auction tomorrow – sounds like the bidding is going to get pretty wild in the end.
10:34 pm on July 9th, 2011
Missing!…Where in The World is Molly the Black Poodle?…snort!….She has been missing forever now…sniff…She is a Giants fan and I miss her goading my Rockies…grunt!
10:37 pm on July 9th, 2011
We are back – had to make a sudden hasty exit earlier when son called for HELP. He made it 76.4 miles and decided he was done. Had to go pick him up, and then his wife and 2 kids followed. We had dinner, Barb’s potato salad, chicken on the grill, and Molly’s salad dressing on the leaf lettuce salad. They said her dressing was out of this world.
T & G, Barb does not have a broad spectum of expertise. She was just a multi-line insurance agent for 20 years, and did some financial planning along with it. Nothing big.
We are going to crash till tomorrow. Trying to herd that 2 year old around is worse than watching a whole flock of unruly sheep! Good night all.
10:51 pm on July 9th, 2011
Maggie – Barb is way too modest. Let’s see – insurance, investments, tin futures, tomatoes, goats…the list goes on and on. We still think she is pretty amazing – you are one lucky dog!
We could handle that herd of unruly sheep, but the thought of a wild two year old scares us to death!
10:52 pm on July 9th, 2011
That is a long enough bike ride, Barb, especially in the summer. He did good.
Rio, I miss Molly, too.

Curious-er! … And curious-er…sniff!…This morning Admin said, “This software is for the special project.”….grunt!…Admin never says anything that interesting…sniff! …I wonder what the hell is going on. This is very curious indeed…woooo!
11:09 pm on July 9th, 2011
But will we ever find out what the special project is…Admin knows how curious we can be.
nite all

Hey, y’all! I just had a thought — unusual, yes, but true! Would a documentary about Snowhook be a dogumentary???
11:51 pm on July 9th, 2011
Hahhahahahahha! gasp,
Rolling on the floor here Kirby T. I think you have it correct. A dogumentary….heh heh he h

Alice: Fancy meeting you here on the floor.

Well we are just hanging around because we had a lovely nap this afternoon and for some reason are not tired tonight.
12:26 am on July 10th, 2011
Well, I guess I should climb in the sack. So far I still have the top bid for “my” item, but I reckon the bidding is going to get hot ‘n heavy in the morning. I’d better get some sleep so my bidding strategy doesn’t get too fuzzy! newbid@yahoo.com…newbid@yahoo.com…newbid@yahoo.com
Gotta practice typing that in my sleep!!!
12:37 am on July 10th, 2011
What a big day for the blog. Great news about the possible documentary, Bella! Paws are crossed here for you and AJ!
We are sorry to hear about Jasper’s mom’s accident. About four years ago, my mom took a sleeping pill at night and then fell asleep on the way to work the following morning. She almost hit a group of kids waiting for the school bus. She has total amnesia, but she ended up upside down in her car and had to go the hospital in an ambulance. It took her a long time to forgive herself because we live our lives tying to do the right thing. But the insurance should cover everything.

Hello all,
I know it’s late and most may miss this but I wanted to say thanks once again for your support. I’m sure I’ll say that more than once in the months to come….
Throughout my professional life I’ve worked with many who are struggling and it becomes easy to lose sight of what is good and still untarnished… It becomes easy to believe that there are few who are willing to lend a hand.
So with the auction winding down… Thank you for reaching out to our family….
