Its planting day here at Howling Arabians. Mom bought her veggies and flowers to plant, but she is letting us take a minute to post. We see our picture didn’t make it thru this morning. We will give it another try. You will want to see that “blurring” must be a well-known talent that some very few lucky dogs possess.

We had two Kats in the Eastern part of MA. Cricket and Key West. They did not pay any attention to each other. BUT. Key West had a Kat friend from next door. He would come over and sit at the back door until we let Key West out and they would go off and explore.

No time to post today – If nothing is going on with the mama-to-be by 11:00 our time, Barb is heading in to the b-day party for Jack. False alarm yesterday with Sandy. She is a first time mama, and Kim, the goat lady, says she might be acting like this for 3-4 days. Checked her duning the night, and now this morning she went out to the pasture and is happily grazing away.

Kirby: Congratulations to your son on his achievement regarding Maggie Who Comes Loudly.
It is a gorgeous day here. I will go for a short walk. Yesterday I tried riding Staff’s old bicycle. Gawd! It’s the kind you have to bend over racing syle to reach the handlebars. And that seat! Every single bump reverberated from my bum bone up to my head. I will wait until a bicycle pump appears to pump up the tires on the fat-tired, one-speed Schwinn with the extra large seat that has springs on it. Boing!

Hey, so we’ve been trojan horsed by some nasty person. First time in twenty years of owning a Mac. It came through a site I went to. About house and furniture design. Jeez. So the external hard drive is off. The Mac doc has been called. He said he just needed to do a cleaning.

Good day everyone (that was actually especially for LizF). Beautiful day here in Chevy Chase, with temperatures in the low 70’s. Had a great walk with mom and dad already, and just lounging now in our screened in porch — one of my favorite things to do.
The cat stories actually reminded me of one of my best friends — Chumly the cat (now across the rainbow bridge), who lived next door with my friend Casey. Chumly wasn’t that friendly at first until my friend Casey growled at him when Chumly hissed at me. After that, we got along just fine, although we had a deal of sorts — if two leggeds were around, we pretended not to like one another, but if no one was around we frolicked and sometimes even snuggled. Chumly came around a lot because grandpa always gave him cat treats. As I’ve always said, it’s very important to get in touch with your feline side. Wookie

What a day around here.
First, the Corgis got in BIG trouble with Mama…they had out a big cardboard box, some packing tape, string, and a label addressed to Professor Bee. Basil and I were just about to play our favorite game of “Jump in the Box” when Mama came into the room. “What the heck is going on here?”, she yelled, and the Corgis made a mad dash outside. Hmmmm. Wonder why she was upset?
Now, those stupid dawgs are running around doing the Happy Corgi Dance.

A certain well known drugstore chain is selling for $4.99 wooden plaques that hang on your wall of different dog breeds. The one with the drawing of the pug on it was good, the one with the corgies was very good, but the Husky…not so much. T&G’s mom’s Husky is done to perfection.

Hey, y’all! I tried and tried to get on this morning, but our internet connection was having hiccups! And then Mom and Dad left for the big game. And now they’re back with some big news: Our lacrosse team won the state championship!!! They got a big silver trophy and everything! The head coach took the trophy home with him for “safekeeping.” I think that means he’s going to sleep with it tonight!!!

Siber, OHowlers and all – Mama is very pleased that you like her sculpture. She wants us to explain it better, since on her ‘puter, the detail doesn’t come up.
There is a backplate of dark clay, and the husky face is actually a “negative” cut out of other layer of clay. So where you see white it is that top layer, where it is dark, the underlayer of clay shows. Then she used a white glaze that has sand in it so it has a rough texture, and she put some stuff on it so it sparkles in a couple places like ice.
Come auction time, she will have better pictures of it…won’t she, Melanie….hint, hint….
Wonder if Barb is home from the birthday party yet…wonder if she is having her own “birth day” party for baby goaties.

I am glad that AbbietheKitty didn’t annoy you too much today. I know TreadleAnnie has said you can bring her down to play with Kittypaws if she gets too bad. ((teehee)) She claims Kittypaws will share his catnip but I have my doubts. Abbie will have to bring her own.
We are working on vacuuming and damp mopping the whole house. I am having allergic reactions to the residue from the winter mouse infestation. Luckily I brought my Benadryl. At first I got it in my eye and thought your pink eye had come to me. But no, all I had to do was wash my face and hands and then stop putting my fingers in my eyes. All better now.
