No Post Today (Revised)
“Somebody better wake Spence up,” says Admin. “He’s got that interview on Suspense Magazine Radio.”
I go into the bedroom. There’s Spence, looking so peaceful. There are lots of ways to do this, but I haven’t done the pulling-off-the-covers thing in some time – way too long, in fact – so that’s what I do.
“Chet! For God’s sake.” His hands make funny little motions trying to get the covers back, but they’re on the floor and out of reach. Some humans like to cling to sleep: Spence is one of them. I’m like that too, but only sometimes.

Good Morning! Maybe Spence is like my guys and it takes him til 9 pm to wake up.
Staff: Patient Advocates. Have tried. You get a number to call, and no one answers. Ever. Last night he discovered he couldn't have a string he could reach after they fixed the lights. They put a piece of gauze on the string, and if he's very careful he can turn it on and off. We are wondering just what kind of ward they've put him on at this point.
Waiting to hear from the Doc that he can get OUT OF THERE.

If that is the support you get I agree with you. Get Dan out of there. I wonder what floor they put him on also. Sheesh.
When I was in the hospital for my transplant they had a Tornado warning at 2 a.m. They had all of us out of our rooms and sitting (or laying in our beds) in the hallway.
There were nurses and care aids going up and down the hallway at all times and they gave us food or whatever we wanted while we waited for the storm to pass.
We were out there for a little over an hour.
I remember one of the nurses stayed right beside a lady who was in her bed in the hall. She obviously had short term memory loss because every two or three minutes she would ask a question and the nurse would tell her there was a tornado watch and she had to stay there until it was over with.
For over a freaking hour.
It drove me crazy (I have never admired nurses more) The nurses voice was pleasant and kind the whole way through it.
They were wonderful the entire time I was there.
I am so sorry that Dan is ill and sorrier still that he is dealing with such poor care.

Mom thinks the umpires are always on her side so they would then have to be for the Yankees too. However, I'm sure the Yankees won fair and square.

How big are these Giants? I do not think I like Giants, they sound very scary. At the state fair there is Big Tex, I think he is a giant, and I would not like to meet him in person AT ALL, which is just as well since the fair does not allow our kind. OMG!… You guys! My friend set up our logon to the blog-radio thing at work. She got home late – we had to dash off to her mothers house for dinner….gasp!…Very good dinner, but the conversation with her mother and her neighbor was terribly boring…grunt!… I begged a lot to annoy them so they wouldn’t mind if we left early!…heh!heh!…She bagged and grabbed a bunch of left-overs and we raced home just in time to finish up our radio Registration and hear the Interview!…Whoooo Weee!…Thank goodness the interviewer was long winded before the actual interview…heh!

I have been busy getting ready for an all day quilt class tomorrow. It took me most of the day. I even cleaned all the lint out of my featherweight and my 301. I can't decide which one to take. Maybe I will take them both.

Okay!…. I couldn’t stay in my warm soft bed for long because I had to re-read the notes my friend took during the interview tonight!…snort!… At one point Spence was asked why “it worked” and he started saying something and then said something like this, “ Its like a classical piece of music being played on an unusual instrument”….heh!…That rang true for me!…snort!

I vote for Pug in a Pickle and agree with the Catty one that Thereby Hangs a Pug is bad way to end up.
