No Post Today

How come? First, Rosie leaves for Prague today. There’s a lot of real intense packing going on around here. Admin and Spence have been sent on lots of errands, including to aisles in drugstores they’re pretty unfamiliar with. Second, Admin finished Robbie yesterday (probable title – Robyn Hoodly and Her Band of Thieves) and he’s looking very sleepy. And there may be other reasons, but isn’t two enough?

As for the quilt, everyone here loves it! It looks real comfortable, but Bernie already said, “Don’t get any ideas, big guy. That’s going on a wall, way way up.”

Robbie is female! I want to read that book…when will it come out?

Have a good, interesting and rewarding time in Prague Rosie. And, Chet, you'll have to admire the quilt from a distance. But that's okay isn't it?

I'd love to watch Spence and Admin wandering helplessly? frantically? around drugstore aisles!

Chet, please don't chew on the quilt! Alot of consternation on square placement until the final beautiful result!

    Tell Rosie "safe trip".

If you do chew on the quilt, keep away from the Patron Pug.

    Must look up Rosie's blog.

Tell Rosie to have a wonderful time in Prague. We will be following her adventures on her blog.

With so many good things happening all at once, the PSQA household is very busy indeed! Tell Rosie that if she gets into any jams, The Plunderers are on standby to help her out. We haven't had a mission in a long time, not since Rio aborted the oil spill save. (I still think we could have pulled it off, but Rio is the Commander, and whatever he says goes!)

We have some new skills, also. Kirby has supersonice ears, and Dan can toot just fine, thank you very much!!

I'm glad that Robbie is a girl and not a quacky duck.

Robyn??… I was seriously under the impression that Robbie was a guy…snort!… “Hoodly and Her Band of Thieves”….wow!….Now I can’t wait for that one to come out probably next year sometime…wheeze!

Quilt!… I’m so thrilled that everyone there loves the quilt!!… sneeze!… It will be even more amazing once it is finished. My only regret is that I will not be able to see the quilt with my own pug eyes….snuffle!

Drugstore!… I’m trying to imagine Spencer and Admin in the drugstore trying to find girlie items …heh!… These guys typically sit above the garage all day long tip-tapping and probably don’t get out much … snort!…So imagine their confusion and anxiety trying to find the right items for Rosie… wheeze!…Throw in their bad memory and you've got quite a comical trip to the drugstore….heh!

    The quilt top is finished.

I have done a supporting stitch all around the edges. The batting, black, is purchased and the backing is almost done. Just 4 borders to attach, because it got a little larger than expected.

Then the quilt sandwich, the pinning, and the actual quilting which will be minimal unless I get really into it.

And finally the attaching of the eyes and the shiny bits for Sam.

(Dawson is worried about her eyes, and Kirby and Buford and assorted Kats will be happier when they can see)

I will be working on it again this afternoon.

Rosie, have a wonderful safe adventure in Europe.

Dan, toot toot away. I hope they let you have some good food.

Best of luck Rosie! I hope we get to hear about some of your adventures. I know you will have fun. Stay Safe!

The quilt is not going to be for Chet? I thought that was who we were making it for. ok, just joking. I imagine he needs a quilt about as much as I do. All of Chet's very best friends in the whole wide world will be watching over him from high up on the wall. That's a good thing.

Or we could write everyone's name or…or..or…well if you get too tired of it or want any help with the quilting I'll be happy to help. I promise not to sew over the hidden "Kameras" Wookie's Mom

On the news tonight service dogs trained by prison inmates and given to veterans with post traumatic stress disorder and other mental problems to help them deal with living after the horrific experiences of war. This program is funded by government through a bill sponsored by Al Franken, a senator from Minnesota and is amazingly effective in relieving debilitating symptoms in our veterans.

Yes Rio: One raw egg yolk was added. Other recipes call for you to boil the egg for one minute.

Darnit – there was another movie Rio's friend was watching a month or two ago and she was just howling with laughter. I meant to write down the title but I didn't. Crap. Now I'll have to wait a couple years until she watches it again – it's an old favorite Rio said. Oh well. Ever watch Cat Ballou? I loved that one.

I hope Dawson ate a Canadian egg and not an American one. I told mom we need to start raising our own chickens, and I got the look she gives me when she thinks I am up to something. Geez, I am just thinking of the family's safety.
