Good day to everyone. Mom was at the library again today but she is “gaining” on the children’s books…summer vacation really makes books fly off the shelves.
Hey, we could use squirrel mowers on our front yard.
Hope OFA enjoyed his weekend. We look forward to hearing from him on the blog again.
Agree with Masquers about C&B #9 title.

    Way to go, fuzzbutts!
The grass seed that the contractor laid after finishing the foundation work last year did grow before snowfall but did not survive the winter. However, the weeds did!

BearSpiritDog: Darn! I can’t access the Gronkowski video in this country. Dual citizenship does not work on the internet.

RIO! When Grizz and I go to Boston, we dedicate a day (weather permitting) to feeding the squirrels in the Boston Public Gardens/Commons. They will eat right out of your hand.

On Friday night, the Thieves! were attending remedial bible study when Beau stopped in the middle of verse 1 of Genesis (Beau rarely gets past the first verse with the Thieves!, but that’s a story for another time). Beau cried, “Incoming!” and sprinted toward the entrance of the Bridge. We were stunned. Beau never takes unplanned breaks in bible study. We gave chase and arrived just in time to see Beau greeting Orion, the rescue dog. Orion was confused. He informed Beau he was kicked by a moose and then was here wagging with Beau. Beau explained where we were and why. I gave Orion the once over and he was Restored to Prime. Beau put on his fedora, grabbed the briefcase holding his angel wings and told us he was going to minister to the Giant and my Lady who were in shock. He told us not to wait up. Beau stayed longer than he planned. One Sunday, the Giant rushed Iggy, the sled dog not Parsons to the vet. He crossed while at the vet. I charged the Thieves! with delivering Beau’s halo to him. They were all business about the task, only playing keep away with Beau’s halo once—-real pros. When they returned, the reported that Beau presided at the graveside services for both Orion and Iggy. The graves are marked with an old, beat up, yellow bike that was left on our homestead when we purchased it. My Lady insisted it seemed to fit, but she couldn’t say why.

Beau just returned to This Side of the Bridge. His prognosis for the Giant and my Lady is that they will heal in time. Broken hearts are like that.
