    Greetings!

It is a lovely, sunshiny day here in Westchester! Today, Grizz and I will be driving up north to Goshen, and probably Warwick (where the ‘lil Singer was found), and do some walking, eating, and enjoying the day.

Pixie, That is a wonderful idea that you have!

RIO! Chicken! I forgot your were at the Plunderfest last year!

    Everyone have a good day!

Good morning Wose, The Small and the Sleek!

    We like Rebecca’s idea too.

Barb is heading out to enjoy watching the Fun Day Horse Show. Pot Luck lunch will be served at the noon break. Then this afternoon she will swing by #1 Son’s Pedal In The Park event, just so he doesn’t feel neglected. BBML

    Have a great day everyone!

Bus!…I have it on good authority that her mother has been on a bus all night long and is still on that same bus this morning…grunt!….If that bus survived the mighty storms that blew through, her ETA in this neck of the woods will be around 9:00 am….snort!…My friend is waiting around for a phone call…sniff!….This always makes her mad because she feels like she is trapped inside till that darn phone rings…grump!

The new FOC are good-looking. I love the meaning of Gioco’s name. I hope Zoey gets to eat soon. I also like the picture of the white dog on the porch under the American flag.

Outdoors is the way to go today.

Zoe: There is no possible way you could mess up the day we remember your daughter! Just keep hold of at least one of the Newfs for strength and get ready to cry and laugh and hug all those who gather to celebrate her life and to support each other as we remember how our Heartfriend affected our lives.

Greetings to all and a Happy Saturday. I can see I’ll have to go back and catch up–look away for an instant (or a day) and there’s something new going on here.
Be well, all. Miss Pretty, Edgar and Conan send wet sloppy kisses only lightly touched by kibble breath (which usually means they’re trying to hold out for treats…)

I can’t wait to blur over for Melanie’s remembrance! Zoey, you will be perfect, oh yes you will.

The search for a drug rehab facility has been interesting. Not. The good news is that it is a covered benefit on our insurance policy. The bad news is that the exclusions are such that we can not find one flipping facility that meets the requirements.

However, I have been taught how to drive pink bulldozers by the best. Stand clear, everyone, while I warm this puppy up!

Hello again–I was giving a stupid final (now I sound like Princess Sammie) and missed the excitement over Callie and the bear. Wasn’t it dangerous for Callie? But well done, anyway…
Macy–One of the hard things about being in the slammer in my part of the country is that they take a mug shot of you and post it on the Internet so your humans can come and get you. It is never a flattering shot–just ask Miss Pretty.
I have marked the calendar for July 26, but I have a question–2 p.m. in what time zone?

Saturday greetings, DianeC, the time zone in question would be eastern.
Edgar, Conan & Miss Pretty: This kat will pass on the sloppy kibble breath kisses. Lol. I prefer to do my own grooming thank you very much.
Wolfie: Good luck with your search for the rehab facility.
Insurance companies…coverage on their terms only…very helpful. Not!

Awesome: I like Gioca’s name too.
It is very interesting how Italian and Spanish have many similar sounding words, and spelling for those words.

In Spanish, the word gozar means to have fun, or enjoy themselves.

Rose: Spanish, Italian and French are three of the “Romance Languages” derived from “Vulgar Latin” or “Roman.” That’s why some words are similar. Although English has many words derived from Latin and French (after the Roman and Norman invasions), it is a West Germanic language.

Zoe, we at the blog know that you will do fine at your daughter’s remembrance. Remember we all love you.

I have been out in the garden also. I excavated the quack out of the iris bed. I have 25 iris stalks this year. Last year I had ONE! Last year was the first time it had been weeded in 3 years. When Staff is gone the iris are NOT weeded. Mr carrots, beets and spinach are up.

This morning the fawn is not by the blue chair.

Good morning all. Here is a photo of my newly painted deck with Sadie’s new igloo doghouse. It was taken about 10 PM last night. It should have been more sunny but the clouds had moved in right before the photo was taken. The colors go much better with my house than the previous redwood coloring.

    Tyb–Congratulations.
    C. Hobbit–The deck is beautiful and subtle in color–in fact, the entire area in the picture is gracious and welcoming (also seems vaguely Scandinavian, but I couldn’t explain why it seems so to me).
    What is quack grass?

10 pm sun at the Hobbit Hotel. Where is my sleep mask?

Ladies came over this morning and helped mom clear out the tool shed in prep for garage sale 1 in two weeks. It is amazing how much more work can be done by 4 than by 1.

WTG Tyb. You are beginning to be the new Most Interesting Dog in the World.

Has anyone had a dog with Cushing’s Disease? I might have it but mom can’t do the tests to find out.

Barb is back home and tuckered out. Nice day though.

Macy, we know nothing about Cushings Disease, but hope you don’t have it.

Diane, Quack grass is most likely a prairie grass. It has a wide blade and the roots are like spaghetti. If you pull it and leave a little of the root it just keeps coming back. It will keep growing and chock out the things you want to grow.

Staff, Bearded Iris are probably Barb’s favorite flower.

The Giant is home and tending to chores, chores, chores including mowing the lawn. We think he may be jealous of Mr. Staff’s new-to-him tractor. In an effort to keep up with the Fireslippers, next thing we know the giant will be taking a blow torch to his yard boots.

To all youse gardeners on tho here blog: Please take special note of our flowers. We have a fine crop of dandelions. It should be a good harvest this year.

Greetings from the passenger seat. The Storyteller is doing the driving home from the one day show. Thank dawg.
It was a really good show. We did more sales in one 7 hour day than we did all of last weekend. And that one was a pretty good show.
So, tired but very happy and thankful, we are headed home, with a restaurant stop on the way
Rio – have a nice homecoming.
    Tyb – GOOD dog
Dawson – why is your grass quacking. Have you been ducking your weeding chores?
CHobbit – you have such lovely taste in all you decorate.
Macy – dogs with Cushings usually lose most of their hair. Are you becoming nekkid?
Zoe – pishaw. You will be yourself, and that will be perfect.

The Belmont Race is about ready to start. California Chrome or Wicked Strong? Those are the two they keep talking about. We are cheering for CC just because there hasn’t been a triple crown winner in 38 years. We are not big fans of horse racing, but we are going to watch.

MPM, Wasn’t Secretariat 1974? Well, California Chrome came in 4th and his owner didn’t sound very happy in the interview.
