A terrible story from our neck of the woods. Hoping that Nero comes out of this all right.

The suspect is in custody–a 29-year-old man who has 100 criminal cases on his record, yet he was able to purchase a gun. (Don’t get me started.) I hope Nero recovers fully.

    Good morning all.

We look like angels compared to the perp. We will let Beau know that this should bode well for us.

This Side of the Bridge is busy tending to Nero. Beau has his best souls on it.

So many prayers for Nero. He sounds like a wonderful dog.

I want to send all of Melanie’s friends love from Vesper and me. She would be 64 today and no doubt would be having her birthday party with the Blog.

Zoe, been thinking of you and yours recently. We have a question Zoe, have any of your Newfies been convinced that they were lap dogs? One lives here and is a confirmed love bug.

Zoé: Melanie and my father share the same birthday. I have long thought that this is a good sign. Head bumps to you!

Our heart friend–always in our heart. She is missed by many but we are grateful to have known her here on the blog.

Sadie and I are enjoying our walks of old and we are doing two walks a day. Her leg is fine but can get injured if she sees something and makes sudden twists and turns. Fortunately she is old and getting deaf so is less likely to see something to react to. I even don’t have to worry about her sleeping on the porch anymore as she no longer barks at every snowflake or falling leaf. The biggest problem right now is how out of shape she is from limited walking since January.

My kittens ages 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 4 weeks are all thriving. The 3 and 4-week olds are playing and scampering about. I snipped a few nails today. One of my adults got adopted so I am happy about that.

I took my laptop into the store to be upgraded and get a new battery installed. Unfortunately it was time to say goodbye to it–it was 10 years old. So I bought a nice desktop which is big and fast. Yay. I even started taking some lessons at the store. Tech world here I come.

Spring is here although the ground will still be frozen for a month and leaves won’t appear until early May. It is the dusty, ugly time of year here in Alaska but my allergies are still making an appearance along with vertigo.

    Have a super Saturday everyone.

Lousy weather for BSD, Rio, Linda the Lurker and HOH tonight. Watch out tomorrow Howlers, Teddy’s Paw and family, Wose, B and maybe more.
    Ain’t spring storms fun?

Zoe: You and Melanie are always in my thoughts.

HOH: After 2 days in the high 70s, the high temps tomorrow will only be in the 40s. Grizz and I just closed the windows in our apartment.

C.Hobbitz: It is nice to hear that you and Sadie are enjoying your walks once again.

Walks! I always think of the brutal walks Rio and Beau went on with their Friend.

I have been doing a 3 mile walking program 5 days a week for the past 3 months. I haven’t lost an ounce. :^(

I hate to hear of our police and K-9 officers being injured and killed on the job. Any idiot can get a gun – don’t tell me they are regulated.

Here is a song for Melanie:

    Another important birthday tomorrow.

CHobbitz: Ear scritches for Sadie. The old cats in this house are also going deaf. They used to run like hell when I turned on the vacuum. Now they barely blink their eyes even when I vacuum right next to them. I hope your vertigo disappears.

Rio and Beau’s brutal walks always make me think of Mother’s underwear. Heh! I forget the details but they were used as a harness, or something, on Beau.

Wose: I used to attend a class that is a lot like that. It’s “Osteofit”. Even if you don’t lose weight you gain flexibility and muscle. I gave it up only because it ran at the same time as other things I want to do. After 4 months off to heal tennis elbows, I am back to weightlifting and yoga. I love both.

Wose, we think we prefer the WE video game workouts. It must be the kid on us.

We thought we had Beau there for a minute, but we checked his top ten list and wearing ladies undies isn’t listed as a Thou-Shall-Not. Damn.
