There is Talk of Snow in these parts.

No Issue Date yet for the Stamps. We expect they will sell out fast.

Yesterday we went to the Temple of Abu Simbel, perhaps the most amazing of all ancient Egyptian Temples, because both of the way it was carved into the side of a mountain and the way in which it was moved to avoid being underwater when Lake Nasser was created by the completion of the Aswan Dam in the early 1970s.

Located next to it, and also having been moved to avoid flooding, is the Temple of Queen Nefertiti, the favorite wife (of his 29 or so) of Ramses II, who had built abu Simbel.

After returning to Aswan (Abu Simbel is about 150 miles south of Aswan), we spent the night at what is now known as the Sofitel Old Cataract Hotel, which is where Agatha Christie stayed when she wrote most of Death on the Nile.

The DDD worked on the Aswan dam. Unfortunately he didn’t take lovely fotos like W&T’s Paw.

While Grizz and I were mall walking today, I stopped into the post office to inquire about the working dog stamps. The clerk hadn’t even heard about them, but said they would probably sell out quickly when they finally arrive.

Bear: I love that one of your kind is on a stamp!

W’s&T’s Paw: Great, great photos! Thanks for posting them! Hope youse are enjoying your travel adventures!

Hobbitz, thanks for taking back your icy weather and on Groundhog Day no less. We are supposed to be above freezing for a week and a half. March is usually our snowy and cold month…we will see if the groundhog was right or wrong.
