Good morning, everyone! Welcome to 3 good looking members of the nation within. Know several of us wondered about the foto on facebookie yesterday and wondered if it was legit. WE say, “paw-tooey” on Putin.
Have a soviet free Saturday š

Good morning! Vacation!!! Mom just told me we are on a 2-day vacation!
Staff, the more We know about Mr. Fireslippers, the more we love him. Bluegrass is the music of choice on this here farm, and (up until this week), the beverage choices would have been a good match too.
A Good Friend: thank you for making our pug friend’s friend very happy.
Happy Saturday, Everybody!
8:49 am on August 23rd, 2014
Good morning all. We are wondering if Spence really did mail that book. What do you think?
Busy day here. Walkies this morning then babysitting for Jack and Lyla till 5:00. Going to head up to Lake Geneva and hang out with the other Grands and a couple of extras for the afternoon.
Up to Chapter 12 on PAO. Still trying to pace myself, but it is oh-so-hard to put down!
Have a wonderful Saturday and Meashka, enjoy the two-day vacay.

Good morning all.
9:34 am on August 23rd, 2014
Greetings!
Mama Luna: I thank you for your unconditional love. Belle Starr sparkled in just this morning.
I will try to readjust my bedtime. Sometimes it is hard to determine when exactly to go to sleep.
We here (and in France), really enjoyed Mr. Fireslipper’s bluegrass band.
(whispering) Grizz does dishes and cleans the bathroom. heh!
9:39 am on August 23rd, 2014
Oh, yes, let me not forget. Rio, that is a nice display of bobble heads you have. I really like that Helton guy with the huskies surrounding him. That is a very wonderful thing your friend has done.
Pondering, I think AJ should have a bobble head with the team around him! He’s handsome like that Helton guy…..
And let’s not forget, 3 years ago today, the Earthquake of the Northeast!
10:15 am on August 23rd, 2014
Good Morning!
Is the Spence Mailing to Putin legit?
We’re on the Case…Noses to the Ground.
10:16 am on August 23rd, 2014
Good morning everyone!
I am lurking but most of youse are asleep by the time I log on.
Rio! I love, love, love your gifts to OFA!
And I received the most wonderful gifts from Snowhook. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Life has been crazy here, but we have been blessed.
On Monday, a wild fire swept through my little town. The Cal Fire response was amazing. By 6:00 Monday night, we had 600 fire fighters on task. The main battle was fought by air and by golly, a disaster was averted. All in all, 48 buildings were damaged or destroyed. But oh my stars, it could have been so much worse.
10:18 am on August 23rd, 2014

Gah! Gone from the Blog for a couple of days and what I have missed! Wolfie okay. Fire. Bobbleheads. Feathers. No beer. Sparkles. I want my dawwwg back! Cheeto. Putin? Wose’s bedtime analyzed. I’m exhausted.

HOH: Quite a clever twist on the name of the day ^..^
Rose: I always knew my friend the Prof was very special, but that proves it.
BB: Hey to you.
B&M: Enjoy your day at the lake with the grands. Paws crossed for the best of weather.
Speaking of which…we here are having a warm sunny weekend…time to enjoy it!

That looks like a legit mailing to me. Gulp. I hope Putin reads it and laughs.
New FOC Belle is a Loulou look-a-like. Cashew is really shaped like a cashew. I love the sky in Kansas where the art guarding dog lives and the dead duck cafe dog…say, I know someone who would like those feathers!
Barb and Maggie: Enjoy the day at the lake.

Good Morning and a Happy Saturday to All–
Wose–It’s so nice to hear some happy-sounding words from you–a testament to your resiliency and the valuable banishing powers of Luna and Belle Starr. (Do you know the work of an Irish lady writer called Marian Keyes? She has written effectively about darkness, and waking at 3 a.m. to “the horrors”. don’t know if you’d find it helpful, but I’ll throw it out there.)
WW–I am also delighted to hear from you and even more to hear that you are safe and well. (Where are you geographically?)
Tupper’s Mom–I apparently missed something yesterday, so will have to go back and get the whole story. (I also hope the person in question bought something. Something expensive. (Maybe you could have a dork surcharge.)
Billy’s Buddy–Yeah, me too, but you can always catch up. (I recommend Natasha’s posts and their followup threads from yesterday.)
HOH–Paw-tooey?!? That’s it for today? It’s Saturday and I’m itching for some pun-ditry.
Has anyone tried running Spence’s message through Google translate?
11:10 am on August 23rd, 2014
Wose: Musher and Author Bobble-heads? Something to Ponder.
Meashka: We too have a 2 Day Vacay. Twins!
Now…Time for the Breaking of the Fast!
But, first…something for B:

11:16 am on August 23rd, 2014
BSD–Good one!
11:18 am on August 23rd, 2014
The tallest sunflower so far. 10.5 feet.
Hey Wolfie: You are up top this morning. Sad to hear of the loss of properties in your town – relieved no lives were lost.
I’m off to the farmer’s market.
11:32 am on August 23rd, 2014
Awesome! I love that Lady Sunflower. I believe they are always happy and smiling.
Wolfie, We all are happy to hear from you and glad you’re o.ok. But you didn’t say if your house sustained any damage.
BSD! Good one!
11:34 am on August 23rd, 2014
Here’s another one for Bee, before we get back to our Saturday chores:

12:04 pm on August 23rd, 2014
You guys are cracking me up.
12:11 pm on August 23rd, 2014
I hope Spence sent the package to Putin. Just in case he did, I am dispatching Natasha to protect Spence.
12:46 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Meashka and BSD, We love the “language” funnies and mom is ROFL.
Hey, Awesome one, that sunflower is a bit over 2x youse!
2:11 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Dawson and the Giant Sunflower…Awesomeness all around.
2:47 pm on August 23rd, 2014
OK you guys are not going to believe this. One of the people who came to my Toga is a dog person as well as a sewing machine person. She follows Dan Cadouce (I don’t know if I spelled that correctly)and Jody Bailey. Not only does she follow the races but she has gone to AK for the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod and has been a handler for them.
AND
She wanted to know if I bid on stuff for the Snowhook Auction. I said yes, and I made stuff for it. She then admitted that SHE IS THE PERSON WHO WON THE PERSONAL QUILT! OMD!
Who would have thunk it!

Staff: Only 6 Degrees of Separation.
3:11 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Now mom is catching on to 6 degrees of separation. Like: “it’s a small world, after all. It’s a small world after all. It;s a small world, it’s a small world, it’s a small, small world”…only less annoying š
3:42 pm on August 23rd, 2014
I don’t know if anyone is interested but tonight begins the new season of Doctor Who beginning at 8:15 on BBC America. At 10 (same channel) a new series starts: The Intruders. (I like John Simm.)
That is amazing Staff…even with six degrees of separation.
Dawson: I love your wonderful sunflowers.
3:43 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Diane, I live near Yosemite. Biting grew up in Montclair, not far from you.

That is an amazing picture of the DC-10 and the wildfire. It should be an award winning photo.
4:12 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Wolfie, that looks sooooo much like mom remembers Temecula the last year we lived there. Fire on the mountain and the reservation. Really scary but Cal Fire does a great job š
4:14 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Wolfie!…Whoa!…That is all too close for comfort!…zow!
4:39 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Address!…I wonder how Spencer got Vlad’s address…sniff!…Is that public knowledge?…guffle!..Can anyone decipher that address on the envelope? Maybe we can google it and see it if really is Vlad’s home or office address…snort!
4:40 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Temecula!…You did not say Temecula, did you HoHo?…sniff!
4:44 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Staff, in all the states, in all the quilt shops, how small a world is it that you met that person! How wonderful to know someone else that is participating in the auction and buying big!
Wolfie, how scary but so happy you are ok! And it sounds like wonderful news on the family front. That is great news and Jace looks like a happy baby!
4:58 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Rillio, We surly did. The original HOH (then called the Temecula Mile of Mutts) was there before relocating to the Chattanooga area. š
5:23 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Hmmmphf!…My friend deals daily with people from Temecula, CA…snort!…What a small world indeed.
5:50 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Love the Photo of Jace and his Daddy. What a happy little boy!
6:02 pm on August 23rd, 2014
I’m back! Grizz and I did the mall walking thing, and in honor of the Pixie, we had some cheesecake.
Wolfie: It is so good to hear from you! So relieved you are safe!
That is an amazing picture of the fire! Jace is so sweet.
Awesome: Your sunflowers are awesome too!
Diane: I am familiar with the name Marian Keyes, but have not read anything by her.
6:03 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Staff: Talk about serendipity!!
6:13 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Staff! That is an amazing story. This world is indeed a small one!!
Wolfie, great pictures, especially Jace. As BSD said, he looks so happy.
It has been raining here all day. Super bummer, because we were planning on a walk or hike. Instead, the ‘rents were playing with the Wii. That is one heckofa workout. They are going to be mighty sore tomorrow.
Bee, we were notified by DirectTV about Intruders, and set up our DVR to record it.
6:21 pm on August 23rd, 2014
The Herb Cats are to the right! Cool!
6:23 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Hi T.C.!
6:29 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Staff, that is unbelievable!
6:34 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Skinny!…Only really skinny guys can do Mall-Walking and THEN have cheese cake…grunt!…Someone here is so hungry she might eat me any time soon…gasp!…I am staying far far outta reach…sniff!
6:48 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Staff–this is quite interesting, especially coming right after the whole hawk/moth episode. It makes me think of being extra watchful and thoughtful (since there will be a third weird thing, right?)
Wolfie–what really great photos, but also terrifying. I hope you got them through a third party…
HOH and Rio–Temecula is wine country to me (and now that I think about it, perhaps it’s time for a visit before school starts up again).
Wose–On the other hand, exercise and cheesecake provide splendid therapy in their own ways…
6:50 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Have Chet and Bernie been translated into Russian? Is Spence’s attempt at diplomacy likely to help or hurt sales there?
7:15 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Wine-Country!…Well, that puts a whole new view on that town for my friend…heh!heh!
7:18 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Writing!…Spencer’s hand-writing is so unique…heh!…Does anyone know anything about this. His “S”‘s are especially interesting…snort!
7:39 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Gone all day and we missed some good pictures and some excitement on the blog. It rained the entire time we were at the lake and then cleared up when it was time to come home.
Staff, that is an unbelievable small world story.
Dawson, cool picture of you and your very healthy looking sunflowers. You both look very happy.
Wofie, Glad you are OK and Jace and Cody look happy too. So glad Cody and Breena are both on the right path. You and your folks deserve some smooth sailing! You have some tough times. Hope it is all behind you now.
Wose, sleep well tonight.
8:02 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Mom wanted to shut the door at the way back of the barn, in Pop’s shop. Pop told her not to jump the gun. We are wondering if youse guys jump guns. We bet Chet does.
8:11 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Jumping the gun – where did it originate?
8:30 pm on August 23rd, 2014
I bet it has something to do with starting a race before the gun goes off.
8:32 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Maggie! We think you must be right! Was Mom trying to cheat in a race? {gasp!}
Off to TV. Land. G’night.
8:38 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Me too. Nitey-nite.
8:47 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Bad part of being here late in the day, everything has been said. So ditto to all that. Hope the Royal parents are having a super day, free of idgits.
I am sitting here watching the Cowboys run up and down the green yard with some guys who say they are dolphins, but that is just silly.
Mom is in her nightie and the rest of us are in our standard wear. Nightie night
9:16 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Tired!…OUT!…sniff!…We are watcing the ball-game. Not much else keeping our eyes open right now…wheeze!
Groomer!…My friend was so upset today at the Groomers shop. She took Beau for a “gentle” bath because of his bad kneez…sniff!…Well, this time she stayed there and waited. This time she saw what went on….grump!…She will never take poor Beau back there again…dammit!…I have never seen my friend so upset before…wuffle!…And not Beau’s kneez are no further along in healing than last week…grumpety Grump!
9:17 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Late entry from us. Saturday is crazy day at the shew. But we LOVE Diane’s idea of a Dork Surcharge. We will be rich in no time at all!
Martha and Zoe sent us fabulous pictures of the gift Martha’s daughter Rachel made for GLAD’s baby shower. We will post it when we get home if Martha doesn’t have a chance to post it before then. My tablet simply won’t allow me to post it to the blog. But we can tell you it is a marvelous, wonderful, thoughtful and sentimental gift that brought tears to our eyes.
We are soooooo tired. We are open til 11 tonight, and at this point are chugging kawfee to stay awake. That hotel bed is sounding so good about now.
Good night all
9:24 pm on August 23rd, 2014
As you always say, Amalia: Good night, Family.
9:31 pm on August 23rd, 2014
L the L, you are right on. Family!
9:52 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Mom’s just home from GLAD’s baby shower. What fun! What a long day! She was gone for 13 and 1/2 hours! Pictures tomorrow!
9:58 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Looking forward to pictures from the shower tomorrow. I think Rachel’s gift has something to do with memories of Our Friend.
Night all. Sweet dreams.
10:28 pm on August 23rd, 2014
GLAD!…So glad it was a great day!….snorkel!…Gives me a tinge in my heart, but a good twinge…sniffle!
11:08 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Just got home from adopted son’s b-day and a dinner with friends. WE missed so much today š Can’t wait for tomorrow to see baby shower fotos since our friend was so excited about the grand. Rio, tell your friend that Temecula was the last chance in so cal but it just got too crowded for the “mile o’ mutts” so they “loaded up the truck and they moved to Tennessee”. Best winery in that area is Callaway Winery.
11:10 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Heading for nighty night. Catch y’all tomorrow.
11:54 pm on August 23rd, 2014
Staff: Of all the quilt shops in all the world the lucky winner walked into yours. Oh, to get her paws on a Teddy’s Maw original! What a treasure!
Nighty noodles.
12:35 am on August 24th, 2014
That is amazing about the quilt lady. Very, very cool. Who would have thought that would ever happen. Nice.
1:54 am on August 24th, 2014
Well, now it is 1:52am, and I am awake. My tummy hurts. I need to be upright so in case the bathroom calls, I can get there quickly.
(whispering) Zeusikov, are you awake?
2:13 am on August 24th, 2014
Rio: Putin’s address is just like it is on that envelope:
23 Ilynka Street, Moscow.
I am sorry to hear about Beau.
Take good care of the Todd Helton gnome.

The next emulator is called Me – Boy Builder; I know, what a name.
So if you have boxes of old Amiga disks, NES cartridges, or other old gaming programs stored away somewhere,
youāre in luck, otherwise youāre treading on legally shifty ground.
