More Ukulele (From Dog On It)
On this particular night, we built a fire, roasted hot dogs – Hebrew National, my favorite – and Bernie brought out the ukulele. He taught Charlie to play it a little. More than a little, in my mind – the kid was a musical genius. They sang “Up A Lazy River” and “When It’s Sleepy Time Down South.” I joined in on “Hey, Bo Diddley.”

We don't know, Abbie….We sent our 1st request in on the 1st day but then resent a request a couple of days ago. Maybe, Chet just puts us cats last by accident!! He's probably just overwhelmed with requests since EVERYBODY wants one!! Maybe in the mail today?? And your staff does take the best pics! Our mom isn't the best when it comes to taking pics, but we overlook that since she pretty much spoils us rotten in every other way. But we still want a dog for a brother or sister…but he/she probably wouldn't be as cool as Chet!

wow, chet – hot dogs, an outside fire and live music? great night. my favorite music is george strait. me and my mom say you can play any music you want at our house as long as it's george strait. his voice reminds me of my cowdog roots – i was bred to herd cattle. glad i ended up here though, working in an office. i don't think that the whole range life thing would have worked out well for me. one time when we went to visit my grandpa in upstate new york, my mom took me to meet some cows. the only thing interesting about them was that they were black and white, like me. other than that, i got nothing from them….my little second cousins were A LOT more responsive and lively so i herded them. for some reason that went over really well with everyone! -s

We like country music, too, me and Bernie. We listen to Willie's Place all the time, and right at this very moment Bernie's singing Sea of Heartbreak. When we were down in St. Lucia – did I post about that? – we found out that country music's really big down there. Whoda thought? – that was what Bernie said.

chet – so cool that bernie can sing. you are really lucky. dad says there was a new wave band in the '80's called "flock of seagulls." my mom sounds like a flock of crows…love willie and johnny cash, too. don't think you posted about st. lucia? wow – just realized it's over an hour past my lunch time – got real wrapped up in your site and forgot about the time! better go nudge mom…-s

Sadie-Me and mom are also George Strait fans. We always listen to him when we are cruising around in our truck. No sports car with the top down for me. Mom says Chet must be better behaved than I am. I'd be outta there in a flash at the first horse I saw. Horses really get me going.
My all time favorite song is "North to Alaska" by Johnny Horton.

Sigh. Today I was trapped all day at a place, not here, but somewhere else. Nothing to do.. not much to eat, that really ticks me off, and a closed-in back yard, no escape. It was a long freakin' day. My friends book was within close view today in the backseat of the car where I ride…hmmmmpf. And I saw that the same yellow-? Little card stickin out of it. The one that is posted by Chet sometimes. That reminded me of what I was missing here – at home.
