    Good morning all.

    Good morning to all.
Macy, we are sorry to hear your mom is unemployed, yet happy she is out of that stressful situation. Help her keep her chin up.
We went on the Humane Society Walktoberfest yesterday and had a GREAT time! We met so many Members of the Nation and became best friends with all. Our mom was a pack leader, so we had our own special pack to walk with, with our pack banner out in front. Afterwards, we got to eat and drink in the VIP tent because we all had VIP tickets.
After that, the rents had to go back to work the Oley Fair. They are so darn tired today! The bad news is that while they were at the fair, Sasha was having a real hard time. When they got home they couldn’t get her to support her weight for quite awhile. Mom and Dima were both very very upset. This morning, Sasha is doing better, altho she got “stuck” behind a bush by the house. We aren’t too sure about what to expect coming up.
CHarris, we are guessing you are traveling, or making plans to travel. We hope that the flooding problems are not adding to your stress. We are thinking of you…please take care.

    Good morning!

Macy, so sorry to hear about your Mom’s job but we think she was way overqualified for that position. They didn’t want anyone with any kind of original thinking…just a cookiecutter babysitter. Remember that Jasper’s mom (we haven’t heard from the middle of the mitten in a while) took a couple of years before finding the perfect job.

Everyone, please take an easy day under the quilt.

OHs, how old is Sasha? Are all her problems related to her doggie Alzheimer’s and age? Poor girl. You guys rally around her to help your mom, ok?

Macy MinPin: That job wasn’t for your mom so good riddance! Sorry there was something “fishy” (at first I read it as “flashy”) about it. Tell her not to hide in the house.
Thoughts are with the Harris and Montague/Carpenter families.
OleyHowlers: Hoping Sasha has better days coming and will be thinking of Sheik tonight before sleep.

Macy, we are amazed you stayed at that job as long as you did. It sounded horrible. Glad you are freed from it. I think you should take a nice walk and enjoy your freedom. (Not a brutal walk)

Hugs to Sasha. It must have been nasty being trapped by a bush. They can be dangerous. Take care.

CHobbit we are thinking about you and hoping your travels are safe.

Packing clothing today. For Months, I tell you, months. (At least I have all the quilting stuff ready, I hope)

    Good morning, everyone,

Life can be incredibly complicated at times. And difficult. Macy, I am sorry to hear about your mom’s employment woes. She deserves better.

Mom finally went to a Giant’s baseball game yesterday. And guess what? They clinched the title. It was such a great moment.

G&BB, yes our Sasha is almost 17! (In November) Her propblems are the alzheimers, as well as old joints. But she is the very definition of tenacious.

We want what is best for her. We all adore her.

Macy’s Mom – thinking sunshine to you, for a better day.

Howlers – take care of Sasha and your ‘rents. ND did well last night. We do cheer for them, you know, when they’re not playing our team.

C Hobbit & Melanie & Zoe – our thoughts are with you.

    Safe migration to Staff.

    Hey everyone –
Macy, Mama says unemployed is better than working for a Crazy Lady, and she should know.
Howlers – Sheik and Sasha will both figure prominently in our prayers tonight.
    Staff – ain’t packing just a pain?
Bella – glad to hear the team us home safe and sound and is in training. And don’t count little Florence out just yet. Florence has a way of always coming thru in a pinch.
Hope everyone is having a lovely beginning of fall.

Unemployed!…My friend longs for the day she can be unemployed…wuffle!…Yesterday morning (saturday for pete’s sake!) her boss gathered everyone around and said, “I’ve heard some of you are unhappy, well there’s the door!” And then the bitch pointed her boney finger at the nearest door….grunt!…It took all the strength my friend had at that moment not to walk out and never look back. But she thought about not having any unemployment checks and gripped the edge of the table with all her might….heh!

Thank you everyone. I am thinking of you also. The flooding is a bit south (so far) of where I am.

My sister is traveling internationally and due to where she is, it is difficult for her to get home right now. She will interrupt her trip in a week when she reaches a major city and can make arrangements to fly home. So family will meet up in 3 weeks in KY for a service. I spent yesterday on the phone talking to everyone, making arrangements and dealing with emailed paperwork, and trying to find a place to fax documents where they need to go, texting my sister’s children to keep them informed, facebooking as needed. Thank goodness I guess for technology. My ears still hurt from the cell phone and my throat is sore. More to do on Monday. I am not in a position where I can fly to KY and stay for 3 weeks or make 2 trips within 3 weeks.

I’m sorry to hear today of the problems in all our lives but the magical quilt seems to be large enough to stretch over us all. Let it do its wonders; peace to all.

Prayers and good thoughts for all under the quilt.

    1:34 pm on September 23rd, 2012

CHH: I am so glad you checked in with us. The quilt sure is something, isn’t it?

Macy: Tell your mom she shouldn’t hide from the world, but should stay under the quilt as long as she needs.

Rio: Now, that’s what I call leadership. (Insert sarcasm here). Your Friend’s self control is amazing.

Chopping wood! That is in our very near future. We need to chop enough firewood for three households. Wheeze. I’m grateful AJ has strong arms and a strong back.

T&G: The first couple of runs with the team can and are expected to be less than steller. Little Florence loves to run free—run! run! run! Little Florence does not love running in water. She is a good girl.

I spent several hours yesterday repotting my oxalis plants. They have been increasing over the years and now I have many little corms that I have to find homes for or throw out. You other gardeners out there know how hard it is to throw out plants. These are babies from the plant shown in this photo of Alice.

Oxalis are hardy in zones 8 and 9 and used as indoor plants in colder climates. Like North Dakota. They are hard to kill and like to be kept well watered. Here is a link to some info about them. I have corms from both the green and burgundy plants and they are all mixed up so I don’t know which you will get. Both are varieties with white flowers.

Let me know if you want some.

Here is some more info about Oxalis. This is a link to the two I am offering bulbils (tubers) for.

The roots look like little amber caterpillars. They are lumpy and of various lengths. You can snap the longer ones into 1/2 inch lengths and plant all the pieces.

If you let them go dry the leaves and stems will die back but a good watering will bring them back better than ever. Just ask Dawson if this is true.

GAH!…That family finally left!…grump!…Two little boyz and two big’uns. The big’uns wouldn’t quit talking. Actually, neither did the little’uns. And no one shared any of their big lunch with me or Beau, not that he needs any, but I’m still hungry….dammit!..What a Zoo! Those kids got on our nerves rather quickly and one of little brats is allergic to us guys, so he screamed and ran the other way when ever Beau or I tried to approach him…huffle!…My friend had to do all the klean-up after lunch by herself once again and has a very bad headache from all the noise….wuffle!…So now we are going to watch the baseball game. Fine by me…sniff!

Macy, Your mom will find the right job for her. That one was definitely not it!

She said she is not quite ready to return to life, including the blog. But she will be back soon.

Barb – we keep meaning to tell you – you and your girls are just beautiful! What a great family picture. We are so happy that things are all going well for you – no more Crazy Lady, beautiful new home, easy access to grands, AND meeting OFA. We are watching the Emmys too. Not really into it, because there are too many shows that we did not see. Good night all, be back tomorrow.

Damian Lewis is the extremely excellent star of Homeland on HBO.

Mom realizes that this job was sucky, but it was also the only offer she had in 20 months. Right now she just wants to clear her name, as the allegation is that she could not be trusted with the safety of the children and therefore cannot work in the school district in any capacity.

She does not consider herself hiding at home. There just does not seem to be any reason to go out. She cant afford to travel as she thought would be the case once Dad qit working, but now he is working as a substitute teachers assistant as needed, at minimum wage. She is tired of being hurt and just plain tired. There is a lot of stuff here that needs to be cleaned up and gotten rid of so she has plenty to do . She can’t stand the thought of dropping dead and have people talk about her messy house. I myself am sick and tired of putting up with her, but as her dog it is my job. Hey! I kind of work for a crazy lady too! ( please don’t mentioned I complained about her, I know that is a terrible breach of ethics, but nobody around here will listen to me)

Six hours of getting firewood and we are beat. I will post a picture or two tomorrow of AJ chopping wood. Maybe he and Soence can share pointers with each other.

Macy’s Mom: This does sound very strange. Do you have union representation? In the meantime, pamper yourself and plug away on your house. Don’t take on too much, make a list of 3-5 things a day to take care of. Step by step things will get better, you will feel better and someday you will even feel like tackling the world.

P.S. you might want to give the little Mini-Pin some extra treats and tummies. Just saying.

Thanks CCH for your kind words and Bella, I try to keep her tucked in but she is very restless. I may have to slip some Benedryl in her oatmeal

Macy, if you can get us to Texas, we will definitely grab that woman by the pant leg. We know you are great with children (2- and 4-leggeds).
