I like the description of Odin, the goats and the deer all staying together.

    Good morning all.

Good morning. Summer has now ended in the CSRA. It is raining Kats and Bellas, but cooler temps are following this rain, thank dog.

After reading some comments after our post yesterday, it is apparent that we have missed som big, sad news. Our condolences go out to those left hurting, and we apologize that we missed it. We seldom spend time on our iPaw these days. There is too much terrible news that comes floating down the intertubes to our iPaws nowadays, and we choose to avoid unhappiness whenever possible.

    What a good boy!

There are some amazing stories regarding fires and the Nation Within. Someone tried to escape by car, but the road was gridlocked. She went back home, got her bike, and asked her 70lb dog to jump into a duffle bag. He understood, hopped in, and they made it to safety.

Howlers, a brisk and breezy 51F here now. Boomers and rain last night.
Mary, thanks for that wonderful story in the midst of sadness.
BTW, Odin’s foto reminded us of Callie, Gramp’s Great Pyr.

Good day all. I’ve already walked my 10,000 steps and I have another 3 hour hike coming up. Here is Melanie’s obituary and at the end it mentions a donation in lieu of flowers in case anyone is not on FB

Rio: I guess there are no longer brutal walks with your friend in Iowa?

I saw someone walking with two Corgis today and thought of Amalia. I guess you can say I know my blog family from their dogs. I see a husky and think Snowhook and the Howlers, I see a Newf and think of HOH…

    No more steps today.

Did anyone notice that Buddy’s Melanie is wearing a butterfly shirt in her video?

Maybe this is coincidence, but we adopted a dog over the weekend. He is the brother of a female we adopted earlier this fall. Unbeknownst to us and her—a lady doesn’t see the flip charts and tell—she was with litter. Four pups, all boys, were born. The mother came to us going by the name of Jet. But every time we called out her name both she and Chet would look. Heh. As a result, my Lady renamed her after our neighbor girl who helps out with us on ocassion. Her name is Jessi. My Lady wondered if she might have to rename her brother, but Knew that was not necessary as soon as she learned his name—Buddy. Heh.
