Happy tails indeed! Great news that Capone has found his forever home! Cool name too!

Lots of snow here, and still snowing. Looks very pretty.

RIO! I think Hobbit and I have the same iPhone. It is the SE 2020.

    Make it a good day!

Great news about Capone and his furever family. Black lab power!

Weather report: I shoveled 8 ish inches this morning. The driveway is done but the deck remains. Glad to hear Hobbit has a couple kids coming around to help. They are a dying breed, those young shovelers. -18 F (-28C) With wind chill -36F = -38C. Didn’t notice any wind although I was covered up like a mummy.

RIO! I went back to an iPhone because I have an iWatch. After spending a couple of days, many hours, and talking to 4 different Apple techs, it was determined (by me, finally) that my fist generation iWatch is not compatible with my phone. The tech told me if I had the old phone (I had an Apple 6S), I would be able to use the watch again. Of course, I don’t have that phone because I traded it in for a new phone 4 years ago.

I don’t like Apple because everything is proprietary. Something as simple as transferring photos from phone to laptop (which is so simple even I can do with an Android phone), becomes a multi-step process. Every time Apple releases a new phone, they will change something that will make everything else obsolete. When I had my old iPhone, it did not come with the plug and cable you need to charge the phone. Fortunately, I had the old charger from my previous iPhone.

Also, every time the IOS is updated, it drains the battery capacity on the phone, until it forces you to buy a new phone so it will perform as it should. That is what happened to my iPhone 6s. And of course, Apple will not tell you this. I had to research the problem on-line to discover this. I had an Android phone for the past two years, and I regret going back to the iPhone.

    Apple, BAH!

Naughty!…(1) My friend will never be able to have an IWatch. (wot is dis anyways?) (2) Everything is property wiff apple. (3) Every change makes everything obsolete an not work no more. (4) Some trouble wiff chargers – not clear here about all dis stuff. (5) Every times dat ISO is updated it drains da battery so dat da phone is useless…grunt! (6) Dis is all secret stuff dat apple will not tell anyone….sneeze!snort!bah!

RIO! I would say that the size would depend on the brand of phone. The last time I was in the Verizon store with Grizz, I saw a very nice flip phone that would fit into my jean pocket quite nicely.

Rio: I had an Adroid phone years ago and really liked it. For may years Apple was behind Androids in innovation but their marketing was really splashy. Except for my devices being Apple, I would be happy with an Android. Your local carrier should have a lot of devices on display in their store. Stress you want simply and easy and a phone that fits in a pocket. And that you don’t want to have forgo treaties in 2021.

Pizzzzzaaaa!…Toppings!…slobber….My friend and mother do NOT like all the same things so the pizza is always made in 2 halves…snuffle!…Mothers side had a slather of homemade pizza sauce, lots of bell peppers sliced in 1 inch pieces, a ton of summer sausage cut thin and some pepperoni….grunt!…My friends side had a slather of homemade pizza sauce (slurp!), diced green pepper – not too much!, black olives, diced ham leftover from Thanksgiving and a bit of pepperoni. The whole pizza was smothered in a pizza blend shredded cheese…Delish!…Of course the dough is homemade as well…snorkel!

Mom has had the iPhone since they first came out. Of course, she only gets a new phone when absolutely necessary so she still has the 6 model. She usually just uses the phone for calling, picture taking, texting and occasionally for on line use. No movies or games.

Rio! Mom bought the phone new in 2015. She has done updates as they come due and usually just has minor aggravation. She charges the phone every morning and it never runs out during the day. BUT, like I said, she doesn’t make a lot of calls, usually just texts people. Her good friend just got the 12 model and is having a hard time getting used to it. No home button which Mom would go nuts without so she is trying to keep this phone for a while. I doubt you could buy a 6 new, probably just get a refurbished used one.

Rio: Our Lady’s busy places provides her with a smart phone. She’s had Apple for over 12 years and loves it. She does talk a lot, all day, everyday for work and has to charge by mid-afternoon, but it charges quickly and she can use it while it charges. She does have a larger version so she can read documents on it more easily. She tip-tap texts all day long, uses it for email and apps and photos and wotnot. It syncs up to her iPaw so the photos she has on one device she has access to on the other device. The Giant uses Android. He likes it a lot. (Whispering…but we have heard him say: ‘How do you do that on your phone?’ She tells him. Then he says, ‘Oh, well mine doesn’t do that.’ Heh).
